Abstract

The purpose of this study is to identify the strategies implemented by the Indonesian government and the role of society in preventing and addressing issues of intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism. The research method used in this article is a descriptive-analytical approach with a literature study, involving data collection from policy documents, scientific articles, books, and reports relevant to the discussed issues. The findings of this study indicate that the Indonesian government has undertaken various efforts to combat intolerance, radicalism, and terrorism through security policies, education, and deradicalization programs. Some of the measures include strengthening regulations, enhancing the capacity of security forces, and collaborating with international organizations. Additionally, society has actively contributed to preventing radicalism through multicultural education, interfaith dialogue, and social activities that strengthen relationships among citizens. Despite these efforts, significant challenges remain, such as the presence of groups exposed to radicalization and a lack of understanding of tolerance in certain segments of society. Therefore, further collaboration between the government and society is essential to create a more inclusive and peaceful Indonesia.

Abstract

E-learning has revolutionized the world of education by offering greater flexibility and accessibility through the use of technology. This method allows students to learn independently anytime and anywhere, integrating a variety of engaging learning media. However, its implementation faces challenges, including uneven internet access and the need for high levels of self-discipline from students. However, with technological advances such as AI, VR, and AR, e-learning has great potential to become more personalized, immersive, and adaptive. The implementation of e-learning in educational institutions such as schools and universities shows similarities in the use of technology and material management, but differs in the level of independence required by students and the context in which it is used. This research highlights that e-learning has advantages such as flexibility in time, broad access to materials, and personalization, but also disadvantages such as limited social interaction and infrastructure issues. Overall, e-learning continues to transform into an inclusive and effective educational solution, opening up new opportunities for lifelong learning.

Abstract

E-learning has become a significant innovation in education, leveraging information and communication technology to provide flexible learning that transcends time and space. Its evolution has ranged from simple teaching machines in the 19th century to today's sophisticated digital platforms, supported by advances in the internet, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and AI technology. The implementation of e-learning in schools and universities shares similarities in the use of technology and accessibility of materials, but differs in the level of student independence and the complexity of the materials. While e-learning offers advantages such as flexibility, cost-efficiency, and access to extensive learning resources, it faces significant challenges such as limited access to technology, lack of social interaction, and the need for high levels of self-discipline. This study analyzes the historical development of e-learning, its implementation at various levels of education, and identifies its strengths and weaknesses as a foundation for more effective and inclusive educational transformation in the future.

Abstract

E-learning, or electronic learning, has undergone a remarkable evolutionary journey since its inception, fundamentally transforming the global educational landscape. This research presents a comprehensive overview of e-learning's historical trajectory, from the era of simple teaching machines to the current complex and integrated online learning platforms. The significant acceleration in e-learning adoption globally, particularly spurred by the COVID-19 pandemic, is also a key analytical focus. E-learning implementation across various educational levels, including primary, secondary schools, and higher education institutions, exhibits fundamental similarities such as enhanced accessibility, temporal and spatial flexibility, and increased interactivity through digital technology utilization. However, this study also identifies essential differences in the depth and complexity of content delivered, the expected level of learner autonomy, and the sophistication of technological infrastructure implemented at each level. To optimize e-learning adoption in higher education settings, exemplified by the specific case of Universitas Wiralodra, this article offers a set of strategic recommendations. These include substantial investment in comprehensive technological infrastructure upgrades, structured and continuous training programs for both faculty and students, the development of innovative, interactive, and adaptive learning content, and the implementation of periodic, holistic, and data-driven evaluation systems. It is concluded that while e-learning offers substantial benefits such as spatial and temporal flexibility, broader access to learning resources, and stimulated learning autonomy, significant challenges also persist, including limited face-to-face interaction and technological access disparities. Therefore, a blended learning approach, which intelligently combines the strengths of traditional face-to-face instruction with the flexibility and innovation of online learning, is proposed as the most effective strategy to maximize e-learning's transformative potential while mitigating its inherent drawbacks.
