Abstract

The acceleration of globalization accompanied by the rapid development of digital technology has increased the intensity of cross-cultural encounters, especially among Generation Z. On the other hand, this condition has also given rise to various new problems, such as strengthening intolerant attitudes, increasing social polarization, and shifting national values. The research method used is a literature study with a descriptive-analytical approach to various concepts of multicultural education, character education, and studies on the characteristics of Generation Z. The research findings indicate that cross-cultural education has a strategic role in fostering awareness of diversity, social empathy, and the ability to interact positively between cultures. Strengthening the character of tolerance can be done through the integration of cross-cultural values in the curriculum, the application of pedagogy that is responsive to cultural differences, and the development of digital literacy based on ethics. Based on these findings, this article emphasizes the need for continuous collaboration between educational institutions, educators, and national education policies to create a learning ecosystem that is inclusive, equitable, and oriented towards universal human values.ABSTRAKAkselerasi globalisasi yang disertai pesatnya perkembangan teknologi digital telah memperluas intensitas perjumpaan lintas budaya, khususnya di kalangan Generasi Z.
