Abstract

Environmental pollution in the Siak River area is a serious problem impacting public health and the ecosystem. To address this issue, environmental sanitation education activities are being implemented to raise public awareness about the importance of good sanitation practices. Methods include outreach and hands-on practice in waste management. Health education is being conducted in the Meranti Pandak Village area. The media used for the education are laptops, n-focus, and leaflets. The methods used in the education are lectures and question-and-answer discussions. This community service activity will be conducted in July 2025. The results of this activity indicate an increase in public understanding of the importance of sanitation and waste management. There was increased knowledge 48%  in knowledge, 49% in attitudes, and 48% in actions of respondents before and after the questionnaire was administered. The community is beginning to actively participate in maintaining the cleanliness of their environment. Sanitation education plays a crucial role in reducing pollution and improving environmental quality. It is hoped that it can be implemented sustainably to create a cleaner and healthier environment.

Abstract

This study explores an innovation based on IoT and biomass energy for the efficient production of processed food, specifically crackers. Biomass energy, derived from plant materials, is utilized to generate heat in the processing room. This innovation significantly reduces the processing time for crackers to just 2 hours, compared to the conventional method that requires 2 days of sun-drying. The biomass energy source used in this study includes rambutan tree trunks, which not only provide efficient heat but also impart a pleasant aroma to the final product. The research employs a direct experimental method to design and implement this technology in industrial settings. The primary ingredient for the crackers is cassava, mixed with fish, shrimp, and jengkol. The heat energy generated from the combustion of rambutan tree trunks is effectively utilized in the combustion chamber. Observations indicate that the crackers produced are of high quality, with appealing color and fragrance, making them suitable for market distribution. This innovation demonstrates the potential of combining IoT and biomass energy to enhance food processing efficiency and product quality.

Abstract

Purpose: Buluh Cina Village is a tourist village located on the banks of the Siak River. The problem of waste among residents living on the banks of the river is throwing garbage directly into the river, causing water pollution. The purpose of this community service is to provide information on how housewives can manage household waste into liquid organic fertilizer (POC) and compost in a simple manner. Methodology: The method used was focus group discussion (FGD) on the theory of good waste management and a workshop demonstration of the practice of making POC and compost directly. This event was in collaboration with the health cadre partners of Puskesmas Pangkalan Baru and Buluh Cina village officials. Results: The results of this community service were attended by 31 cadres, who understood that the behavior of littering into the river must be stopped by utilizing waste from the household scale. POC and compost training, so it is hoped that cadres will apply to themselves and teach their members. Limitations: Owing to the limited time, funds, and members involved in this research, the training was only conducted for one day, but it is hoped that it will be sustainable. Contribution: This activity is useful to increase community awareness about managing household waste to make it more useful for fertilizing plants around the house and also have economic value if sold

Abstract

ABSTRAK: Capaian pelaksanaan vaksinasi COVID-19 pada ibu hamil di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Rantau Kopar masih rendah yaitu 15% dari sasaran ibu hamil berjumlah 15.893 hanya 146 ibu hamil yang divaksinasi. Tujuan penelitian untuk memperoleh informasi mendalam tentang pelaksanaan vaksinasi COVID-19 pada ibu hamil di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rantau Kopar Kabupaten Rokan Hilir. Metode penelitian yang digunakan kualitatif desain penelitian studi kasus dengan wawancara mendalam, telaah dokumen dan observasi. Jumlah informan utama 5 orang ibu hamil yang berada di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Rantau Kopar dan informan pendukung terdiri 1 orang pengelola program vaksinasi COVID-19, 5 orang suami ibu hamil dan 4 orang bidan desa. Hasil penelitian didapatkan bahwa terdapat kecenderungan persepsi negative, dukungan suami, sosialisasi penyuluhan vaksinasi, akses informasi yang diterima oleh ibu hamil terhadap kegiatan vaksinasi COVID-19 bagi ibu hamil diwilayah kerja puskesmas Rantau Kopar. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa perlu adanya strategi, advokasi, pemberdayaan masyarakat dan bina suasana oleh Puskesmas Rantau Kopar. Kata Kunci : Vaksinasi COVID-19, Ibu Hamil, Rantau Kopar

Abstract

Masih rendahnya cakupan kunjungan posyandu balita di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Bagansiapiapi yaitu 24,02% (tahun 2021) dan 35,9% (tahun 2022) dari standar 80%. Diperlukan strategi demi meningkatkan cakupan kunjungan posyandu. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis strategi peningkatan cakupan kunjungan balita ke posyandu. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis kualitatif dengan desain penelitian phenomenology di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Bagansiapiapi pada bulan Januari-Juni 2023. Informan utama yaitu ibu balita, informan kunci yaitu kepala puskesmas, pemegang program gizi serta kepala desa. Informan pendukung yaitu bidan, perawat dan kader. Pengumpulan data menggunakan metode observasi dan wawancara mendalam serta dilakukan metode triangulasi. Analisis data kualitatif diperoleh dari data reduction, data display dan conclusion serta analisis SWOT. Hasil penelitian ini yaitu para ibu sudah mengetahui tentang kegiatan posyandu secara umum, namun ibu belum memahami tentang pentingnya pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita. Dari aspek sarana prasarana masih banyak kelengkapan sarana prasarana yang kurang seperti bangunan posyandu dan antropometri sehingga ketika pelaksanaan posyandu perlu meminjam. Setiap SDM yang ada telah berperan namun masih belum maksimal. Masih ada kader yang tidak datang ketika hari pelaksanaan posyandu serta tokoh masyarakat tidak selalu berperan aktif dalam pelaksanaan posyandu. Kader telah mendapatkan insentif tunai berupa gaji dan juga insentif non tunai seperti pelatihan dan penghargaan satu tahun sekali. Keluarga para ibu balita masih belum mendukung ibu untuk ke posyandu. Kesimpulan bahwa pemahaman ibu tentang pentingnya pemantauan tumbuh kembang balita masih terbatas, meskipun mereka mengetahui tentang kegiatan posyandu secara umum. Kendala sarana prasarana dan keterbatasan SDM serta dukungan keluarga menjadi faktor utama yang menghambat efektivitas program posyandu.

Abstract

Dampak yang dapat terjadi apabila PKRS tidak dilaksanakan antara lain dapat menyebabkan meningkatnya jumlah pasien dengan perilaku yang tidak sehat yang mengarah pada tingginya angka kejadian penyakit. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk memonitoring dan evaluasi penyelenggaraan promosi kesehatan rumah sakit di unit promosi kesehatan Rumah Sakit RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain penelitian kualitatif yang bersifat deskriptif. Kegiatan residensi ini dilakukan di Unit Promosi Kesehatan Rumah  Sakit RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau dimulai tanggal 27 November 2023 sampai dengan 14 Desember, Informan penelitian didapat dengan teknik purposive sampling sebanyak 9 informan terdiri dari kepada kepala unit PKRS, staf PKRS, dan koordinator di salah satu Instalasi Rawat Inap yang ada di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau. Pengambilan data didapat dengan wawancara, observasi lapangan, dan telusur dokumen. Penentuan prioritas masalah menggunakan metode Urgency Seriousness Growth (USG). Hasil penelitian didapatkan belum terbentuknya organisasi PKRS yang sesuai PMK No 44 Tahun 2018 dan adanya SPO (Standar Prosedur Operasional) yang belum direvisi di unit PKRS, masih banyak SDM PKRS yang belum pelatihan, dan PPA banyak yang belum mengikuti pelatihan komunikasi efektif, monitoring evaluasi penyelenggaraan promosi kesehatan di Rumah Sakit yang belum optimal, belum lengkapnya sarana yang dibutuhkan menjadi kendala dalam kegiatan PKRS dan program kemitraan sudah ada dengan beberapa yayasan dan perkumpulan, tetapi belum berjalan. Kesimpulan implementasi PKRS di RSUD Arifin Achmad Provinsi Riau telah dilaksanakan sesuai dengan peraturan Menteri kesehatan dan fokus pada edukasi. Kegiatan utamanya meliputi penyuluhan dalam dan luar gedung, serta pengembangan media promosi kesehatan.

Abstract

The implementation of Hospital Health Promotion (PKRS) in the inpatient rooms of Arifin Achmad Regional General Hospital faced several obstacles, causing the available PKRS leaflets to accumulate and go unread by patients and families. The purpose of this study was to identify problems, prioritize issues, and determine alternative solutions. The method used was qualitative with in-depth interviews, observation and document review. Problem prioritization was done qualitatively using the Urgency, Seriousness, Growth (USG) method. The study found 5 main problems in PKRS implementation: unavailability of needed infrastructure hindering PKRS activities, lack of utilization of leaflet health promotion media, suboptimal monitoring and evaluation of hospital health promotion management, no revision of standard operating procedures in the PKRS unit, and inactive monitoring and evaluation with several foundations and associations. USG analysis concluded the main issue was non-functioning leaflet media in inpatient rooms due to underutilization by nurses. Abstract

Anemia is one of the health problems worldwide, especially in developing countries, where an estimated 30% of the world's population suffers from it. The aim of this research activity is to understand the implementation of blood-boosting tablet distribution. The method used is qualitative, involving the USG stage to determine problem priorities, followed by SWOT analysis. The sample for this research report consists of high school female students. The next stage involves conducting counseling sessions according to the identified problem priorities. The activity took place at the Hulu Tembilahan Community Health Center in the Indragiri Hilir District from November 4th to December 18th, 2023. Through a well-organized series of stages, from preparation to conclusion, this activity successfully created a positive dialogue space between organizers and participants. The results indicated suboptimal implementation of distributing blood-boosting tablets for adolescent girls at the Hulu Tembilahan Community Health Center in the Indragiri Hilir District and identified problem priorities. The Plan of Action involves Health Education by healthcare professionals as an effort to increase the launch/commitment to anemia-free initiatives in the preventive implementation of anemia among adolescent girls.

Abstract

The Triple Elimination Program aims to prevent the transmission of HIV, syphilis, and hepatitis B from mother to child. In Rokan Hilir Regency, screening coverage remains low: hepatitis B (42.2%), HIV (38%), and syphilis (48.3%). Bantaian Health Center has the lowest coverage, while Bagan Batu Health Center has the highest. A thorough evaluation is needed to improve program performance using the Malcolm Baldrige approach. This study aims to evaluate the performance of the triple elimination program for pregnant women at the Rokan Hilir District Health Office in 2024, employing a mixed-method explanatory sequential design. The sample consisted of 40 respondents and 9 stakeholders as informants. Triangulation was applied to sources, methods, and data. The results show that most respondents rated program leadership as high (57.5%), while strategic planning (52.5%), patient focus (62.5%), measurement and knowledge management (60%), team focus (55%), process focus (57.5%), and performance results (60%) were rated low. Qualitatively, program leadership demonstrated strong commitment. Program planning is based on technical guidelines and BOK funds, with limitations in APBD budget allocations. Education and collaboration with community leaders have been implemented. However, the program has not focused on patients and is not widely recognized by the community. Staff at Bantaian and Bagan Batu Health Centers enthusiastically implement the program despite limited human resources, introducing innovations and conducting regular evaluations. The program is developed through coordination meetings, data analysis, and cadre training. Key factors for achieving targets include case monitoring, health education, cross-sector collaboration, and periodic evaluations. Health centers need to expand education and socialization on the importance of triple elimination screening, supported by integrated coordination between the Health Office and related agencies (OPD).

Abstract

ABSTRAK Peningkatan mutu pelayanan seharusnya tercermin dalam setiap kegiatan dirumah sakit (RS). Untuk menjaminnya, RS wajib memiliki sistem pengawasan mutu yakni dengan penerapan standar yang terdapat pada sistem akreditasi rumah sakit untuk mencapai Indikator Nasional Mutu (INM) dari 13 Indikator Nasional Mutu yang harus dilakukan RS. Hasil survei awal yang dilakukan ada 5 indikator yang belum mencapai standar akan berdampak terhadap hasil mutu pelayanan. Penelitian ini bertujuan diperolehnya informasi mendalam tentang kecenderungan penerapan Indikator Nasional Mutu (INM) peningkatan mutu pelayanan dalam pencapaian standar akreditasi rumah sakit. Penelitian menggunakan metode kualitatif desain fenomenologi melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, dan telaah dokumen. Komponen yang diteliti yaitu kepatuhan kebersihan tangan, kepatuhan penggunaan APD, waktu operasi sectio caesarean emergency, waktu tunggu rawat jalan, dan kepatuhan pengisian alur klinis (clinical pathway). Dari penelitian ini didapatkan hasil bahwa kepatuhan kebersihan tangan, kepatuhan penggunaan APD, waktu operasi sectio caesarean emergency, waktu tunggu rawat jalan, dan kepatuhan pengisian alur klinis (clinical pathway) belum sesuai standar. Penerapan Indikator Nasional Mutu (INM) yang dilakukan melalui peningkatan mutu pelayanan dalam pencapaian Standar Akreditasi Rumah Sakit di RSUD Bangkinang tahun 2023 masih belum sesuai standar disebabkan oleh beberapa faktor, antara lain belum ada budaya organisasi, belum ada komitmen dari petugas. Belum optimalnya penggunaan sistem aplikasi pendaftaran online, belum optimalnya penggunaan aplikasi E-RM dan dukungan dari manajemen. Disarankan agar pihak rumah sakit dalam pencapaian indikator nasional perlu menambahkan poin penilaian kepatuhan pelaksanaan penerapan Indikator Nasional Mutu (INM) di Lembar Penilaian Kinerja dan memberlakukan sistem reward dan punishment. Kata Kunci: Indikator Nasional Mutu (INM), Peningkatan Mutu Pelayanan,   Standar Akreditasi Rumah Sakit  ABSTRACT  Service quality enhancement should appear in hospital activities. Each hospital is required to have a quality control system, which is designed to ensure that the level of performance of a system remains stable, or in control. For example, to achieve 13 National Health Care Quality Indicators, some standards can be applied in the hospital accreditation system. However, we still found that there were 5 indicators that have not reached the standard. Thus, these could have a significant impact on service quality results. The purpose of this study is to obtain more in-depth information about the tendency of National Health Care Quality Indicators implementation in order to improve service quality on hospital accreditation achievement. Phenomenological Qualitative Method was used in this study. The data were collected through interviews, observation, and secondary data. The component of health care quality; such as, hand hygiene compliance, PPE compliance, timing of emergency caesarean section, patient waiting time at outpatient department, and clinical pathway compliance, were analyzed in this study. The results confirm that the five components of health care quality; such as, hand hygiene compliance, PPE compliance, timing of emergency caesarean section, patient waiting time at outpatient department, and clinical pathway compliance; had not met the standard yet. Implementation of the National Health Care Quality Indicators for improving service quality to achieve hospital accreditation in RSUD Bangkinang (2023) has not met the standard yet. It happened because of some factors; such as, there is no organizational culture yet, there are no commitments from employees yet, the online registration application system and the E-RM application, and management support have not run properly. Therefore, the researcher hopes that the hospital is necessary to add the assessment of compliance with the implementation of National Health Care Quality Indicators in performance appraisal form, and to design reward as well as punishment systems. Keywords: National Health Care Quality Indicators, Service quality improvement, Accreditation Standards for Hospital
