Abstract

Mentawai is well known as an ecotourism area in Indonesia, with its Siberut National Park recognized as part of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves. People come to visit this exotic area every year to do activities and enjoying the natural surroundings. Tourist visits to Mentawai were escalating by years, both domestic and foreign tourists. Regional income from tourism was also increasing. Ecotourism is known worldwide for its benefit for economic contribution to local communities and poverty alleviation. The economic contribution of ecotourism is often appreciated through its direct effect on local business enterprises on sites. However, statistics today showed that Mentawai are still categorized as underdeveloped and poor. Therefore, this descriptive research objective was to assess tourism contribution by means of direct effect to local business enterprises and challenges faced by villages near Siberut National Park, South Siberut, Mentawai. A survey was conducted in November 2018 by distributing questionnaires to 19 representatives of tourism-related Local Business Enterprises (LBEs) using an accidental sampling technique. Data collected were then processed, analyzed and interpreted. In conclusion, this study shows that there is a low direct effect of tourism to the existing Local Business Enterprise in the villages of Muntei, Madobag, and Matotonan of South Siberut, Mentawai Island Regency, West Sumatera, Indonesia. In addition, essential challenges exist, not to mention managerial, predominantly concerning financial and legal matters. It is recommended that local government and other stakeholders put more consideration not only on environmental and social aspects, but also economy, represented by local business enterprises. Initiatives and integrated actions should be arranged and put in practice as empowering tourism, particularly ecotourism to its optimum, to bring about foremost contribution to local economy through direct effect of tourism to local business enterprises. Abstract

As the market of halal tourism destinations has increasingly become more competitive, the revisit intention topic has progressively become prominent to emphasize on. This research is designed to find out how much influence of the availability of Muslim-friendly facilities to Indonesian Muslim tourist to revisit intention to Japan. The methodology of this research is quantitative descriptive research in which questionnaire is the major tool in collected the primary data for analysis. The total sample of 100 Indonesian Muslim tourist is obtained for the analysis. The simple and multiple regression analysis are adopted to examine the key factors which significantly predict the revisit intention. The results of this research indicates that Muslim-friendly facilities likes halal hotel, halal restaurant, and prayer room are positively related to the revisit intention. The biggest need of Indonesian Muslim tourist is the availabity of halal restaurants. Regarding the situation of Muslim friendly facilities in Japan, Indonesian Muslim still finds it difficult to locate the facilities despite its availability.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the alternative strategy of developing local tourism around Borobudur, one of the world’s heritage as the top choice of foreign and domestic tourists, that focused on developing a variety of alternative tourism infrastructures while preserving the environment that is a millennial-friendly destination that is called Nomadic Tourism in Glamping De Loano, Purworejo, Indonesia. The research took place between June-July 2020 in Glamping De Loano, Purworejo. The chosen methods including documentation, observation, and interviews with local government groups, visitors, and residents. Glamping De Loano is a new and fresh tourism sensation in Purworejo that can bring millennial tourists and new unique tourism experiences to the area. It is a new early-stage of destination because it has only been operated for less than a year but has many opportunities that can be cultivated and developed. However, most complaints coming from them are regarding narrow and dangerous road infrastructure towards the destination, supporting ecosystem readiness, and conformity of the biophilic material to the environment surrounding. Most interviewers suggest it would be better with improved road infrastructure construction and focus on providing a basic supporting ecosystem. Recommendations are made for developing the Glamping De Loano tourism better to improve the experience of tourists and visitors and to improve the resident’s quality of life. It is hoped that this research may prompt local authorities to take l residents’ perceptions and experiences into account by creating better management measures and regulations. Abstract

Danau Cipondoh adalah salah satu obyek wisata yang ada di Kota Tangerang dengan daya tarik yang memiliki nilai jual, diikuti dengan aksesbilitas yang memberikan kemudahan, kemudian harga yang terjangkau, fasilitas yang cukup. Hal ini akan menjadikan Danau Cipondoh sebagai obyek wisata yang menarik bagi masyarakat Tangerang untuk berwisata. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh daya tarik wisata, aksesbilitas, harga dan fasilitas terhadap minat berkunjung wisatawan di objek wisata Danau Cipondoh, Kota Tangerang. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kualitatif yang dikuantitatifkan dengan metode yang digunakan adalah regresi linier berganda dengan bantuan program SPSS 23. Teknik pengumpulan data dengan menyebarkan kuisioner kepada para wisatawan sejumlah 100 responden. Hasil penelitian secara parsial daya tarik wisata, aksesbilitas, harga dan fasilitas berpengaruh signifikan terhadap minat berkunjung wisatawan. Oleh karena itu objek wisata Danau Cipondoh harus memiliki daya tarik berupa orisinility and natural beauty, variatif, scarity, wholeness, kemudian memiliki lokasi yang mudah dijangkau, kondisi jalan yang beraspal dan berbeton, jarak waktu tempuh sangat dekat dengan Jakarta dan Tangerang Selatan. Selain itu Danau Cipondoh juga harus memiliki harga yang standar dan terjangkau juga memiliki fasilitas yang cukup meliputi parkiran, mushola, toilet, tempat istirahat, warung makan. Hal ini memberikan dampak kepada para wisatawan untuk berkali-kali berkunjung ke Danau Cipondoh. Pengelola Danau Cipondoh harus lebih mempromosikan Danau Cipondoh melalui sosial media seperti website, instagram dan facebook. Para wisatawan diharapkan tidak meninggalkan sampah yang dapat merusak keindahan di kawasan wisata Danau Cipondoh.

Abstract

Karawang Regency has many tourist destinations and villages, one of which is Sedari Village, which has a natural potential to develop mangrove forests. Referring to Law No. 10 of 2009 concerning tourism development which must pay attention to the needs of tourists in the process of its implementation, it is necessary to conduct a study related to Motivation, Perceptions, and Tourist Preferences to become a reference for the development of mangrove tourism in Sedari Village. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach, data obtained through interviews and questionnaires. The data processing method uses validity test, reliability test, and Importance Performance Analysis. The study results show four indicators of motivation that encourage tourists to visit the village mangrove tourism, then the average value of perception is 2.

Abstract

Pembangunan jalan tol dapat memacu pertumbuhan perekonomian di suatu tempat, salah satunya dengan jalan mempermudah akses bagi pariwisata yang merupakan salah satu syarat dari sebuah destinasi wisata. Jalan tol menuju Panimbang, dimana KEK Tanjung Lesung berada. Di sepanjang jalan tol desa wisata yang dekat letaknya dengan eksit tol yaitu desa wisata Sukaratu di Kecamatan Cikeusal. Penelitian ini bermaksud mengungkap potensi pariwisata dan strategi pengembangan yang dapat digunakan untuk membangun desa tersebut menjadi salah satu destinasi di sepanjang tol Jakarta-Panimbang. Metode yang digunakan adalah kualitatif deskriptif dengan pengambilan data melalui wawancara, observasi dan dokumentasi, serta studi literatur, dengan menggunakan sebanyak 8 (delapan) informan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Sukaratu memiliki potensi untuk berkembang diantaranya karena aksesibilitas, amenitas dan etraksi sudah tersedia. Sedangkan analisis SWOT menunjukkan bahwa terlepas dari unsur aksesibilitas, amenitas dan atraksi yang sudah ada, potensi yang ada belum digali secara maksimal dan untuk itu sumber daya manusia pengelola dan pelaku usaha masih harus ditingkatkan. Selain itu Sukaratu juga menghadapi ancaman persaingan dari desa wisata sejenis dan karenanya perlu melakukan diversifikasi dan inovasi agar produk pariwisata dan ekraf di dalamnya tetap memiliki kekhasan.

Abstract

South Siberut District on Mentawai Island has great ecotourism potential however its management is not yet optimal, including synergy and connectivity between stakeholders. This research was conducted using stakeholder analysis method and snowball sampling technique with expert judgment. The informants involved were twelve institutions representing four types of stakeholders, namely the Government, Community, Business, and Academics. The objective of this study is to identify stakeholders involved in ecotourism management; to classify and matrix their level of influence and interest. The significance of this research is to increase cooperation between stakeholders through optimizing their respective roles in South Mentawai. This study finds that, Firstly, the importance of government authority in ecotourism management; Secondly, half of all stakeholders have high interest, while the other half show low and very low interest in supporting ecotourism management; Third, half of all stakeholders are Crowd Stakeholders who have the potential to influence the overall management of ecotourism in the future. It is recommended that efforts should be made to inspire as many parties as possible to be involved as stakeholders. Secondly, increasing the competency capacity of human resources through education. Abstract

Komodo National Park, designated by UNESCO as a world heritage site, is the only place where the ancient species of Komodo dragon (Varanus komodoensis) lives., its savanna panorama, and beautiful underwater scenery, attract both domestic and foreign tourists. This research was conducted to analyze the management system of Komodo National Park. To find out and analyze the perception of the government and the community towards the development of Komodo National Park tourism and analyze the sustainability of the current Komodo National Park tourism development. This research method uses the McKinsey and GSTC Criteria and Indicators (2019). The results of the study show that the current management system of Komodo National Park is still not good because it does not have adequate human resources and has not yet achieved a strategic management system. The results of our study indicate that the government's perception of information on the development of the Komodo tourism area is well understood so that it is coordinated effectively. Effectively, for destination sustainability in KNP, management results are 93% (very good), socio-economic sustainability is obtained 62.5% (good enough), cultural sustainability is 31% (poor), and environmental sustainability is 52.3% (good enough). Abstract

Marketing attracts consumers' attention and desires to make interesting visits. Electronic Word-of-Mouth also supports consumer interest in visiting because it contains interesting information about tourist attractions and reviews from other tourists. This study aims to explain the effect of social media promotion and electronic word-of-mouth on visiting interest. This study aims to (1) determine the effect of social media promotion on interest in visiting Telaga Biru Cicerem, Kuningan, West Java, (2) The effect of electronic word-of-mouth (e-WOM) on interest in visiting Telaga Biru Cicerem, Kuningan, Java. . West (3) The effect of social media promotion and electronic word-of-mouth on interest in visiting Telaga Biru Cicerem, Kuningan, West Java. Therefore, it is recommended that BUMDES Telaga Biru Cicerem continue to increase the quantity of brand image-based media updates and maintain a brand image that is marked as the best tourist destination information to increase interest in visiting Telaga Biru Cicerem.

Abstract

The Buntu Burake Destination is artificial. In the Buntu Burake area, a statue of Jesus Christ was built with a statue height of 45 meters that resembles the Christ the Redeemer Statue in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. This study aims to analyze the carrying capacity of tourism in the tourist attraction of Buntu Burake. To achieve this goal, the authors use descriptive qualitative methods, with observations, in-depth interviews with key persons and tourists, literacy as a data collection method, and analysis using indicators of sustainable tourism development. UNWTO guidelines. The results of this study indicate that of the 29 indicators on the physical-ecological aspect, 66% was achieved, the socio-demographic aspect reached 88.5%, and the economic-political aspect was 67%. Ecological and political economy has a fairly good category. The results of the analysis of the carrying capacity of the Buntu Burake tourist destination have a value of 74% with a good enough category for sustainability. For this reason, it is necessary to improve the quality of tourism infrastructure, manage resource capabilities, and manage the impact of use to make Buntu Burake a sustainable tourism destination.
