Abstract

The local community of Kuta Mandalika Village is required to adapt to the regional tourism industry as the spearhead of tourism operations in the Special Economic Zone for Tourism in West Nusa Tenggara. As a result, researchers aim to see how prepared the residents of Kuta Mandalika Village are to welcome tourism to their village. The cognitive, emotional, and conative components all play a role in community readiness. The community at Kuta Mandalika Village was studied using a qualitative research method. In-depth interviews and a non-probability sample strategy were used to identify relevant informants in this study. For the first phase, snowball sampling was chosen as the data collection strategy. According to the findings, the community of Kuta Mandalika Village are well prepared to host tourism activities in the Mandalika Special Economic Zone. However, they are not yet prepared to participate in the tourism industry. The village is in the process of transitioning to a tourism-based society. The phenomena of rapid tourist development pushe the community as hosts, who are directly affected by tourism, to prepare themselves in an indirect way. The government, academics, and the private sector all have a role to play in helping to develop the surrounding community in terms of the capital and skills that the industry requires.

Abstract

The Mawar Emas Program, a program aimed at countering moneylenders in West Nusa Tenggara, Indonesia, has been running for two years. However, there is insufficient research to evaluate its effectiveness, requiring further analysis. This qualitative study evaluates the performance of this program since its establishment. The study's respondents were mosque administrators, the Chair and Secretary of the NTB Sharia Economic Community (MES), beneficiaries, and banks. Each respondent was interviewed to collect data related to the Mawar Emas program. The study found that the program has aided 32 mosques in West Nusa Tenggara, benefiting a total of 1,194 potential borrowers. The Mawar Emas program has an annual budget of Rp. 1,275,000,000; however, these funds have not been fully utilized. Funding and absorption of funds decreased in the program's second year. Several program elements require evaluation, such as increased funding, default rates, training delivery, obsolete data, and profit-oriented institutions. The study's findings contribute to facilitating MES's ability to assess and improve the program.

Abstract

Abstract: Countries must be able to compete due to the high global intensity of trade and agreements. As a first step in dealing with this, many countries employ economic concepts that are tailored to their specific circumstances. The goal of this research is to look at the role of Islamic economics in dealing with the onslaught of economic globalization, such as China's Belt Road Initiative (BRI), and multi-sectoral institutions like the IMF and the World Bank. The literature research approach used in this paper is qualitative using literature review method. The results of this study found that the Indonesian government was in the midst of a powerful wave that required strong captains and ships. In other words, the existence of BRI, IMF and World Bank will be a threat if they are not controlled properly. As a result, the government has to divert this funding to productive areas such as agriculture. Furthermore, given China's concentration on Islamic banking, Indonesia may be able to persuade China to involve the Indonesian people in developing its products. Furthermore, the Indonesian government must be able to read every step taken by BRI, IMF, and World Bank so as not to be trapped in debt investment. Keywords: Islamic economic, belt road initiative, IMF, worldbank
