Abstract

Education is an inevitable effort in shaping individuals into quality human beings, yet often spirituality is sidelined. In this research, we explore the integration of spiritual development in education using the Rumi approach and its impact on student achievement. Through literature review, we found that this approach significantly influences student achievement. Integrating spiritual values into the curriculum enhances students' intrinsic motivation, happiness in learning, and mental resilience. The findings highlight the importance of integrating spiritual development in education to enhance overall student achievement. Practical implications of this research include the need for curriculum renewal, teacher training, and school environments that support holistic spiritual growth of students. These steps are crucial to ensure that education not only shapes intellectual intelligence but also nurtures balanced individuals holistically.

Abstract

Permasalahan yang hendak dibahas dalam pengabdian ini memberikan edukasi kepada orang tua untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental di Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan NanSabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Tujuan dari pengabdian ini adalah untuk memberikan edukasi dalammeningkatkan kesehatan mental orang tua (Studi kasus Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman). Metode pendekatan pengabdian ini adalah metode ceramah, demonstrasi dan latihan yang disertai tanya jawabmetode ceramah, demonstrasi dan latihan yang disertai tanya jawab. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini diperoleh kesimpulan bahwa: 1) bentuk Edukasi Spritual untuk meningkatkan kesehatan mental orang tua di Nagari Padang Bintungan Kecamatan Nan Sabaris Kabupaten Padang Pariaman dapat dilakukan dengan memberikan nasihat-nasihat islami, , hal ini dapat dilihat dari minimnya pengetahuan para orang tua tentang perannya sebagai orang tua menurut syariat islam, sehingga mereka membutuhkan nasihat-nasihat islami apalagikendala mereka yang sulit menjaga kesehatan mental dikarenakan terbatasnya waktu dan kesibukan orang tua dalam kehidupan sehari- hari, serta kurangnya wawasan dan pengalaman yang dimiliki oleh orang tua, sehingga mereka kurang mampu mengontrol, mengawasi serta mengendalikan segala kegiatan serta aktivitas anak di kehidupan sehari-hari. 2) beberapa faktor yang mengganggu kesehatan mental orang tua adalah kesibukan orang tua dalam bekerja sehari-hari, masuknya berbagai budaya baru pengaruh dunia yang sering disebut dengan milenial.Sebagai contoh yang ditemukan oleh peneliti yaitu adanya teknologi seperti televisi, internet, handphone yang memiliki konten-konten yang barbau pornografi atau game online.

Abstract

The phenomenon of bullying among adolescents has shown a significant increase and negatively impacts their health. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an anti-bullying psychoeducational program in reducing bullying behaviors and enhancing adolescents' awareness and knowledge about the negative effects of bullying. The research utilizes a non-experimental quantitative approach involving a psychoeducational intervention specifically designed for adolescents. The participants in this study were 310 adolescents from Nurul Yaqin Islamic Boarding School. The program includes training sessions, group discussions, and interactive activities aimed at strengthening empathy, communication skills, and bullying prevention strategies. The results of the study indicate that participation in the psychoeducational program significantly reduced the frequency of bullying behaviors and improved adolescents' understanding of the importance of combating bullying. The implications of this research suggest that implementing anti-bullying psychoeducation can be an effective strategy in creating a safer and more supportive environment in Islamic boarding schools for adolescents.

Abstract

Children are a crucial age group in character formation, and it is important to equip them with positive character traits that will influence their behavior in the future. This research aims to examine the impact of character development that emphasizes environmental preservation through gardening practices in Korong Lapau Jambu. The main focus of this research is to assess the effectiveness of this activity in shaping children's personalities, particularly in relation to their perceptions of the environment. This activity involves garden maintenance with a participatory approach, where observations are made to monitor children's participation and the impact of the activities on their environmental awareness. The research results are expected to provide insights into the importance of character education based on the environment for children.

Abstract

Emile Durkheim saw the social order of society emphasizes the importance of consensus, harmony, and equilibrium. To emerge the consensus harmony and equality of community-oriented should do creating the homogeneity and cultural values aimed for maintaining the social community order. This paper reveals the thought of Durkheim about the theory of consensus harmony and equilibrium based on maintaining a balance between knowledge, moral practice reasoning with ethical values ?? in the society through character education. The thinking side revealed how the public responds to changes in a dynamic culture of uncertainty with built social and cultural functions based on functional structure theory. This study discovers the education role in creating a moral being in modern society and moral being in building harmonic. It balanced with social functions through the solution to prevent and resolve any social pathology as the impact of the negative perception from social media. This expected explanation from this library research providing a positive contribution to character education and behavior to the society reviewed from the anthropological education study. The implication of this study for educators is the importance of building character and behavior order in the community comprehensively, kept up-to instill moral values, virtues, honest, law-abiding, and tolerance in creating a Madani's social life.

Abstract

Improving the quality of education automatically has an impact on improving the quality and competence of education, so that educational goals can be achieved properly. Education must have several competencies, and about the pedagogical competence of education must be the effect of very important lessons which also apply to Islamic cultural history lessons. The formulation of the research problem to realize educational pedagogic competence in Islamic cultural history learning, the purpose of this research is to find out how effective the educators' pedagogics are in choosing the Islamic cultural history learning method. The form and type of this research are field research using descriptive methods, data collection using observation, documentation and interview techniques that are submitted to educators in the field of Islamic cultural history and school principals. The results of this study indicate 1. Educators in the field of Islamic cultural history at MTsN 5 Padang Pariaman have used the learning method but it is still not right, 2. Educators are still not effective in using the method. 3. The impact of using the method by educators causes students to be sleepy, unable to concentrate. The conclusion of this study is that the use of methods in learning the history of Islamic culture is still less effective because the selection of learning methods is still not right. Abstract

The purpose of the study was to describe: (1) socioeconomic status, (2) self-concept, (3) the relationship between socioeconomic status and students' self-concept. The method used in this research is descriptive quantitative correlation type, with a population of research 332 students of SMAN 1 Rao Pasaman. A sample of 182 students, selected by Proportional Stratified Random Sampling using a Likert scale model instrument. The results showed that: (1) socio-economic status was seen from the education level of the parents with a percentage of 45.58% with the category of basic education level, namely: did not pass SD, SD, and SLTP, socio-economic status was seen from the type of work of parents with percentage of 62.4% with semi-skilled category, socioeconomic status seen from the total income of parents with a percentage of 45.3% in the category below one million rupiah, (2) students' self-concept is in the positive category with a percentage of 68.88% from ideal, (3) there is a significant relationship that positive relationship between socioeconomic status and students' self-concept, the contribution of socioeconomic status to self-concept is 3.9%. This means that socioeconomic status can be used as a predictor to predict self-concept. Keywords: Correlation, socio-economic status, self concept..

Abstract

The aim of this study is to identify strategy to use theory of behaviorism in learning. Library research was employed to meet the aim. Several books and articles were analyzed to know what the strategy of teaching in the classroom using behavioristic approach. The results indicate that the purpose of learning is mainly to gain knowledge and forming students’ habits. At the end of the study, critique to the theory and its implication for future research are provided.

Abstract

Education is a key element in the social, economic and cultural development of a nation. In Indonesia, there are two main education systems, namely Islamic education and general education, which have significant differences in aspects of curriculum, teaching methods and social impact. This study aims to conduct an in-depth comparison between these two education systems to better understand the differences and their impact on Indonesian society. This research uses descriptive analysis methods and literature studies to collect data related to the curriculum, teaching methods, and social impacts of the two education systems. The results of the analysis show that significant differences exist in the Islamic education curriculum which focuses on religious and moral education, while general education has a broader curriculum and covers various subjects. Teaching methods in Islamic education place more emphasis on religious and cultural values, while general education tends to use conventional teaching methods. The social impact of these two education systems also has striking differences. Islamic education tends to promote religious values ??and religious identity, while general education is more oriented towards global and secular aspects. This can influence people's understanding and perception of their religion and culture, as well as influence social integration in a heterogeneous society. This research provides valuable insight into the differences and impacts of the two main education systems in Indonesia. The results can be a reference for making more holistic and inclusive education policies, which combine religious values ??and cultural diversity, while ensuring that education remains relevant to global demands and social developments in the future.

Abstract

To create a more enjoyable English language learning environment for students, an emotional approach is often required. This is because learning English is sometimes perceived as intimidating by some students. The purpose of this research is to evaluate the influence of students' interest and emotional intelligence on their learning outcomes. The research method employed is quantitative research with a survey approach adopting a cross-sectional design. The research sample consists of 40 seventh-grade students at SMP Negeri 1 Pariaman, selected using purposive random sampling. Research instruments include observation sheets, questionnaires, and documentation. The data analysis results indicate that students' interest and emotional intelligence significantly affect their learning outcomes. Therefore, it is recommended for English teachers to pay more attention to students' interests and emotional intelligence in their efforts to enhance understanding and academic achievements.
