Abstract

Profesi Kependidikan merupakan salah satu mata kuliah wajib yang harus ditempuh mahasiswa semester dua Jurusan Pendidikan PGSD FKIP Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas Medan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah : Untuk mengetahui kultur sekolah melalui kegiatan magang kependidikan I pada mata kuliah Profesi Kependidikan, untuk mengetahui kompetensi guru model yakni guru Kimia, meliputi: kompetensi kepribadian, sosial dan pedagogik, untuk mengetahui kesulitan guru sekolah dasar dalam pelaksanaan belajar mengajar, untuk mengetahui hasil laporan magang mahasiswa. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada mahasiswa Pendidikan PGSD FKIP Universitas Katolik Santo Thomas Medan. Mahasiswa melaksanakan magang yang terintegrasi dengan mata kuliah Profesi Kependidikan berupa kegiatan observasi/wawancara ke sekolah dan guru model untuk memahami tentang kultur sekolah dan kompetensi guru, meliputi: kompetensi kepribadian, sosial dan pedagogik dalam rangka menumbuhkan minat menjadi guru dan sekaligus pembentukan pengetahuan, keterampilan, dan sikap sebagai calon guru. Hasil penelitian diperoleh : 1) Kultur sekolah tempat magang kependidikan I pada dasarnya sudah baik, terutama pada kedisiplinannya baik kedisplinan kesopanan, ketaatan mematuhi peraturan, maupun kebersihan, 2) Guru-guru model yakni guru sekolah dasar yang diwawancari sudah mempunyai kompetensi kepribadian, sosial, pedagogik yang baik karena bisa mencontohkan kepada siswa bagaimana bersikap yang baik, tidak menggunakan Pengembangan Model dan Perangkat Pembelajaran untuk Meningkatkan Kemampuan Berpikir Tingkat Tinggi.

Abstract

Infeksi telur cacing merupakan salah satu masalah kesehatan bagi masyarakat dunia. Sebagian besar terinfeksi kecacingan terjadi di daerah tropis dengan kelembaban tinggi, terutama menginfeksi masyarakat dengan kebersihan diri dan sanitasi yang kurang. Di indonesia prevalensi kecacingan masih tinggi diantaranya 60%-90% tergantung pada sanitasi lingkungan. Cacing tambang termasuk ke dalam golongan Nematoda Usus. Nematoda Usus berhabitat di saluran pencernaan manusia dan hewan. Tujuan penelitian untuk menganalisis adanya telur cacing tambang pada tinja masyarakat yang berusia 30-40 tahun di Desa Alue Canang, Kecamatan Bireun Bayeun, Kabupaten Aceh Timur. Jenis penelitian bersifat deskriptif dan pemeriksaan laboratorium dilakukan dengan metode flotasi (NaCl 40%). Hasil pemeriksaan tinja petani dengan jumlah sampel 15 orang masyarakat yang berusia 30-40 tahun ditemukan adanya infeksi telur cacing tambang sebanyak 4 orang (26%), dan 11 orang (74%) tidak ditemukan adanya infeksi telur cacing tambang.

Abstract

The implementation of the mentoring activity of carbohydrate content testing in food for prospective elementary school teachers as a learning innovation aims to improve teacher skills in learning and can improve the learning outcomes of students in science learning in grade IV of Elementary School 060893 Medan in the 2023/2024 academic year. This activity aims for prospective teachers to be able to integrate learning innovations through carbohydrate testing in food, so that the learning process activities become effective and efficient in accordance with the characteristics of elementary school science learning. The activity method is carried out through several stages of activities including: preparation activities, implementation, and evaluation. The results of the community service program show that science learning outcomes have increased in grade IV at Elementary School 060893 Medan.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia melalui penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Head Together (NHT). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK) yang dilakukan dalam dua siklus, dengan masing-masing siklus terdiri atas tahap perencanaan, tindakan, observasi, dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian adalah siswa kelas IV SDN 066048 Medan Helvetia, yang berjumlah 21 siswa. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, tes, dan dokumentasi, serta hasil data dianalisis secara deskriptif kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan dalam kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Pada siklus I, rata-rata nilai siswa sebesar 65 dengan persentase ketuntasan 38%. Setelah dilakukan perbaikan pada siklus II, rata-rata nilai meningkat menjadi 85 dengan persentase ketuntasan 81%. Hasil ini membuktikan bahwa penerapan model pembelajaran Numbered Heads Together efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir kritis siswa. Penerapan Numbered Heads Together juga mendorong siswa untuk lebih aktif, kooperatif, dan mampu bekerja sama dalam pembelajaran Bahasa Indonesia.

Abstract

This research aims at using appropriate learning models to help students avoid misconceptions and help students construct new knowledge through appropriate learning models. The method used is a systematic literature review taken from national journals and international journals. Search for library sources in this article via Google, SagePub, Science Direct, Emerald Insight, Hindawi, Springer, Taylor and Francis, and Wiley databases for 2013-2024. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the concept learning model is a learning model that has the view that students are not only required to be able to form concepts through classifying data, but they must also be able to form concepts using their own abilities. By using the concept learning model in the learning process, it is hoped that students' understanding of concepts will increase. The concept learning model is designed to teach concepts and help students more effectively learn the concepts of the material they are studying so that it can significantly help them in the process of improving their learning outcomes. This model is an efficient method of presenting structured and planned information from a wide range of topics for students at every level of development.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) learning model assisted by Wordwall media on student learning motivation in Pancasila Education subjects. The research method used is quantitative method with experimental design. The research subjects were fourth grade students of SD Negeri 064034 Medan, totaling 23 people. Data collection techniques are done through questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability. The pretest results showed an average value of 44.91 in the category of needing guidance, while the posttest results increased to 77.74 in the developing category. The Pearson correlation test shows a coefficient value of 0.626 which is included in the strong category, with a significance of 0.001, meaning that there is a strong positive relationship between the problem-based learning model assisted by wordwall media on student learning motivation. Furthermore, the results of hypothesis testing using the t-test obtained the value of tcount  ttable  , which is 3,683  1,714, which means that there is a significant influence between the use of problem-based learning models assisted by wordwall media on student learning motivation.

Abstract

Science learning requires a contextual and creative approach that enables students to actively engage in understanding scientific concepts. One of the key strategies to achieve meaningful learning is through the use of innovative instructional media. This community service activity aimed to improve the capacity of elementary science teachers in Central Tapanuli Regency in designing and utilizing relevant and effective instructional media. The activity was carried out through interactive lectures, hands-on practice, as well as discussion and simulation sessions on media implementation. The results showed that teachers experienced improvements in conceptual understanding, technical skills, and their enthusiasm for innovation. Teachers successfully created various instructional media such as educational games, simple models made from recycled materials, and digital media using interactive PowerPoint. This activity had a positive impact on strengthening teachers' professional competencies and fostering a collaborative culture, along with increased awareness of the importance of publishing innovative educational products. The recommendation from this activity is the need for continuous mentoring and replication of the program in other regions to expand the benefits of systematic teacher capacity development.

Abstract

This research aims to determine the influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 071218 Fondakoraya, South Nias Regency, for the 2024/2025 academic year. This research employed a quantitative research method and a pre-experimental research design. The population of this research was all fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 071218 Fondakoraya. The sample was selected using saturated sampling, where all 30 fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 071218 Fondakoraya were included as the sample. To ascertain the students' initial abilities, the researcher conducted a pre-test with an average score of 45.56, which falls into the "needs guidance" category. Following the implementation of the Problem Based Learning model, the students' learning outcomes showed an improvement in the post-test, with an average score of 82.93, categorized as "good." The increase in the level of success of students' learning outcomes was evidenced by the correlation test result, which yielded a value of 0.975, indicating a very strong correlation, meaning that rcount​ (0.975) ≥ rtable​ (0.361). Furthermore, the hypothesis testing (t-test) showed that tcount​ ≥ ttable​, specifically 23.442 ≥ 1.697, thus indicating that the alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted and the null hypothesis (Ho) was rejected. This demonstrates that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning model on the science learning outcomes of fourth-grade students at SD Negeri 071218 Fondakoraya.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of the Make A Match type cooperative learning model on student learning outcomes in Mathematics subjects on measuring and comparing angles in class VA of Budi Murni 2 Medan Private Catholic Elementary School in the 2024/2025 Academic Year. The Independent Variable in this study is the Make A Match type Cooperative Learning Model (X) and the Dependent Variable in this study is Student Learning Outcomes (Y). The research method used is Quantitative Pre-Experiment Type, the population of this study was all fifth grade students of Budi Murni 2 Medan Private Catholic Elementary School, totaling 4 classes. Sampling using Probability Sampling Type Simple Random Sampling with a sample of all VA class students of Budi Murni 2 Medan Private Catholic Elementary School totaling 36 students. To determine the initial abilities of students, the researcher conducted a Pretest with an average value of 59.25 in the incomplete category. After the researcher used the Make A Match type Cooperative Learning Model, it showed that student learning outcomes increased in the Posttest with an average value of 76.42 in the complete category. The success rate of student learning outcomes has increased as evidenced by the results of the Correlation Test calculation obtained of 0.603, which means that rcount (0.603) > rtable (0.329). Furthermore, the Hypothesis test (t-test) where tcount > ttable is (4.404) > (2.035) so that it can be stated that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. This shows that there is a significant influence of the use of the Make A Match type Cooperative Learning Model on the Mathematics learning outcomes of students in the material "Measuring and Comparing Angles" of class V of Budi Murni 2 Catholic Private Elementary School, Medan, Academic Year 2024/2025.
