Purpose – The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of the Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach and department head leadership on students’ discipline culture in Vocational High Schools, both partially and simultaneously, as perceived by the department heads.Methods – This study employed a quantitative research approach using multiple linear regression analysis. The sample consisted of 30 vocational high school department heads selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a structured questionnaire that measured the PDIA approach, leadership style, and observations of student discipline. The instrument was validated for content and construct, with reliability established using Cronbach’s Alpha to ensure measurement consistency. Findings – The results indicate that the PDIA approach has a positive and significant effect on students’ discipline culture. Department head leadership also shows a positive and significant influence. Simultaneously, both variables significantly contribute to discipline culture, with an R-squared value of 0.9729. While this high value suggests a strong predictive model within the sample, it is interpreted with caution regarding potential construct overlap or common method bias due to the single-source perceptual data. Research Implications – These findings imply that strengthening the implementation of the PDIA approach and enhancing adaptive academic leadership are essential strategies for improving discipline culture. However, future studies are recommended to use multi-source data (e.g., combining student and teacher reports) to validate these findings and reduce potential measurement bias.

This research examines the implementation of the preference ranking organization method for enrichment evaluation (PROMETHEE) approach for multi-criteria decision-making in a character recommendation system for serious games. The method calculates character skill values across multiple criteria and generates rankings of the best characters according to game environment conditions derived from closed-circuit television (CCTV) based traffic detection. Image processing algorithms were applied to classify congestion levels into quiet, moderate, and busy categories, which directly influence gameplay modes. Experimental results show that PROMETHEE rankings vary across maps (e.g., A6 ranked highest in quiet mode, while B2 dominated in busy mode), demonstrating the system’s contextual adaptability. Usability testing with 50 participants yielded an average system usability scale (SUS) score of 78.9, while expert evaluation using game design factor questionnaire (GDFQ) produced a mean of 4.19/5, both indicating high acceptance and positive user experience. These findings confirm that PROMETHEE is effective in generating context-aware recommendations, providing both strategic depth and engagement. The study concludes that integrating traffic data into serious game design can enrich intelligent transportation systems (ITS) education and awareness, with future improvements possible through real-time player feedback adaptation and machine learning–based traffic prediction.

In the rapidly evolving digital era, social media platforms such as Twitter or X have become strategic public spaces for students to express their views, experiences, and criticisms regarding various aspects of academic life. One of the most frequently discussed topics is related to academic assignments, including their workload, relevance, and contribution to students’ understanding of course material. The spontaneous expressions shared on social media contain valuable data that can be scientifically analyzed, particularly to capture students’ perceptions and sentiments toward the learning process. Therefore, sentiment analysis represents a relevant and systematic approach to identifying patterns of student opinions in a measurable and data-driven manner. This study employs a quantitative approach using machine learning methods, specifically the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm, to analyze student sentiment toward academic assignments expressed on the Twitter/X platform. The quantitative approach was selected because it enables the objective processing of numerical data and facilitates statistical interpretation of emerging patterns. Data were collected from student tweets related to academic assignments and subsequently processed through several stages, including text preprocessing, feature extraction, and sentiment classification into positive, neutral, and negative categories. The results indicate that the K-Nearest Neighbor (KNN) algorithm is capable of classifying student sentiment with an accuracy rate of 85%, demonstrating that this method is sufficiently effective for sentiment analysis in an educational context. The sentiment distribution reveals that 30% of students expressed positive sentiment, perceiving academic assignments as relevant and challenging, while 40% showed neutral sentiment. Meanwhile, the remaining 30% conveyed negative sentiment, indicating that assignments were perceived as excessively demanding and less relevant to the learning process. These findings provide important insights for educators and educational institutions in evaluating and designing academic assignments that are more effective, balanced, and aligned with students’ learning needs.

This research is motivated by the importance of innovative skills in vocational education, especially in sustainable fashion that demands creativity and an entrepreneurial spirit. The purpose of this study is to analyze the influence of creative thinking and entrepreneurial motivation on students' innovative behavior in designing outer upcycle denim at SMKN 6 Surabaya. The study used a quantitative approach with the SEM-PLS method. Instruments in the form of performance tests and questionnaires that have been tested for validity and reliability were given to grade XI Fashion Production Design students. The results showed that creative thinking and entrepreneurial motivation have a positive and significant effect on innovative behavior, with entrepreneurial motivation as the strongest influencing variable. Simultaneously, both variables explain 92.5% of the variation in students' innovative behavior. These findings emphasize the importance of strengthening creative thinking and entrepreneurial motivation in vocational education to produce innovative and independent graduates.

Perkembangan teknologi informasi, terutama di negara-negara berkembang, telah mempermudah akses terhadap informasi yang dibutuhkan. Fenomena ini tercermin dari peningkatan dan pertumbuhan permintaan data dan informasi oleh masyarakat, perusahaan, serta lembaga pemerintah memerlukan sistem informasi yang telah terkomputerisasi dengan baik untuk menjalankan roda pemerintahannya. Dibutuhkan sistem informasi yang mampu mengelola serta menyampaikan informasi terkait dengan data surat masuk dan surat keluar dengan baik. Saat ini di beberapa kantor instansi swasta maupun pemerintah, pencatatan surat yang masuk dan keluar masih menggunakan metode manual, yaitu dengan mencatatnya menggunakan buku besar atau agenda. Pendekatan manual ini membuat proses pencarian data surat kurang optimal, khususnya ketika dibutuhkan kembali di waktu yang akan datang dan untuk keperluan pengarsipan dokumen surat. Dengan berdasarkan informasi tersebut, peneliti menggunakan metode pengembangan waterfall dengan pendekatan System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) telah menciptakan sebuah sistem informasi dengan judul Perancangan Sistem Informasi Registrasi Surat Masuk dan Surat Keluar Berbasis Client-Server. Sistem ini dikembangkan menggunakan bahasa pemrograman Embarcadero RAD Studio, yang dimana bahasa pemograman teresebut menghasilkan sebuah rancangan sistem atau aplikasi yang bisa berjalan di operating sistem windows dengan database MySQL yang dimana database tersebut bisa di akses dengan sangat cepat pada jaringan client server. Harapannya, sistem ini akan mempermudah petugas tata usaha dalam memproses dan menyimpan data surat masuk dan surat keluar sehingga dalam pengarsipan surat dapat mencari arsip dokumen surat dengan mudah dan cepat.

This study examines the effect of the Problem-Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach assisted by Mind Your Own Business (MYOB) software on students’ financial statement preparation skills and analyzes the moderating role of learning interest. This research employed a quasi-experimental design using a non-equivalent control group pretest–posttest approach involving 60 vocational accounting students divided into experimental and control groups. Data were collected through practical tests and questionnaires and analyzed using independent samples t-test and moderated regression analysis. The results show that students taught using PDIA assisted by MYOB achieved significantly higher financial statement preparation skills than those in conventional learning (Sig. < 0.05). Furthermore, learning interest has a positive and significant moderating effect, strengthening the relationship between PDIA-assisted MYOB and students’ skills. These findings indicate that integrating problem-based iterative learning with accounting software effectively enhances students’ technical competencies, particularly for those with higher learning interest. Therefore, the PDIA-assisted MYOB approach can be considered an effective instructional strategy in vocational accounting education. Teacher leadership management in Vocational High Schools (SMK) is an important element in creating a learning atmosphere that supports the immersive learning approach, which is believed to improve student learning outcomes. This study aims to explore the influence of teacher leadership management in the implementation of the immersive learning approach on student learning achievement in SMK through a Systematic Literature Review. The method used is in accordance with the PRISMA 2020 guidelines. The results of the study indicate that the type of teacher leadership (instructional, transformational, and teaching) does not have a direct impact, but has an indirect impact on student learning outcomes through three main pathways: (1) improving teacher abilities and professionalism, (2) strengthening students' psychological aspects (such as self-confidence and resilience in learning), and (3) support from the social context and immersive learning strategies. The conclusion of this study confirms that teacher leadership management functions as a driver in building a learning ecosystem that supports the implementation of immersive learning, which ultimately contributes to improving SMK student learning outcomes, both academically and practically.

This study aims to enhance the learning motivation and computational thinking skills of grade X SMK (Vocational High School) students in the subjects of Coding and Artificial Intelligence through the implementation of the Problem Driven Iterative Adaptation (PDIA) approach. Conducted as a Classroom Action Research (PTK) at SMKN 1 Penajam Paser Utara during the 2025/2026 academic year with 36 student participants, the study utilized the Kemmis and McTaggart action research model, which consists of planning based on identifying real-world problems, implementing contextual problem-solving activities, observation using instruments, questionnaires, and computational thinking tests, as well as in-depth reflection to evaluate and refine subsequent actions, carried out over two cycles. Data collection techniques included observation, learning motivation questionnaires, and computational thinking ability tests. The results indicate that the application of the PDIA approach significantly improved students' learning motivation and computational thinking skills. Student learning mastery increased from 50% in the pre-action phase to 63.89% in Cycle I, and further rose to 91.67% in Cycle II, with the class average score reaching 82.58. Additionally, student learning motivation showed improvement, marked by increased activity, enthusiasm, and engagement in the learning process. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PDIA approach is effective in enhancing both learning motivation and computational thinking skills among students in the subjects of Coding and Artificial Intelligence.

This research was conducted to investigate whether the application of the Pair Programming influences the logo design competencies of students enrolled in vocational high schools (SMK), while also assessing the moderating Change Management as through the ADKAR framework. The study adopted a quasi-experimental methodology involving tenth-grade learners from the Visual Communication Design program at SMK Negeri 2 Magetan. Participants were allocated into two groups, consisting of an experimental cohort of 36 students and a control cohort of 108 students. To evaluate data, inferential statistics were applied, including Independent Sample t-test and Moderated Regression Analysis (MRA). Results showed no statistically meaningful difference in mean learning performance between students who engaged in collaborative learning and those who learned individually, as evidenced by a significance value of p = 0.9090. However, descriptive findings revealed that Pair Programming functioned as an effective safety net, maintaining the lowest student score at 57, slightly better than the individual method’s minimum of 56. Furthermore, the experimental group achieved a higher maximum score (97) compared to the control group (96). Regression analysis demonstrated that Change Management significantly moderates the effect of Pair Programming (p=0.001). The findings indicate a "safety net" effect for students with low mental readiness, while those with high readiness experienced an interference effect. The study concludes that the success of collaboration depends on technical instruction and heavily influenced by students' psychological readiness. Therefore, the implementation of Pair Programming should be accompanied by change management interventions to optimize student adaptation to a collaborative work culture.

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengetahui validitas media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan berupa media pembelajaran kit Robot Transporter, 2) mengetahui respon mahasiswa selama penerapan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, 3) mengetahui hasil belajar mahasiswa setelah penerapan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan, 4) mengetahui keterlaksanaan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Jenis penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan dengan menggunakan model 4-D. Untuk uji coba produk menggunakan one group pretest-posttest design yaitu membandingkan nilai pretest dan posttest. Nilai pretest diperoleh sebelum pembelajaran dengan menggunakan robot transporter dan nilai posttest diperoleh setelah pembelajaran. Dalam penelitian ini diperoleh data hasil validasi media pembelajaran sebesar 88,67% dan dikategorikan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Untuk hasil validasi butir soal diperoleh skor 86,62% dan dikategorikan sangat layak untuk digunakan. Sedangankan untuk tes hasil belajar diperoleh nilai rata-rata pretest 35,63 dan 85 untuk nilai rata-rata posttest. Hasil respon mahasiswa terhadap media –robot transporter diperoleh skor rata-rata sebesar 88% dan dikategorikan sangat baik maka media robot transporter layak digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran. Keterlaksanaan pembelajaran menunjukan hasil skor 4,6 dan masuk dalam kategori sangat baik, sehingga media robot transporter dalam proses kegiatan belajar mengajar bisa terlaksana dengan baik.
