Abstract

Kecemasan akademik adalah salah satu faktor psikologis yang dapat memengaruhi performa akademik mahasiswa, sementara kualitas tidur adalah aspek penting dalam kesejahteraan fisik dan mental individu. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan kecemasan akademik dengan kualitas tidur mahasiswa. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 380 mahasiswa dengan kriteria mahasiswa (i) aktif  Universitas Negeri Makassar angkatan 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023. Teknik pengambilan sampel ini menggunakan accidental sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik korelasi Spearman’s Rho dengan hasil ada hubungan kecemasan akademik dengan kualitas tidur mahasiswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat hubungan negatif antara kecemasan akademik dengan kualitas tidur dengan korelasi r = -0,206 dan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p < 0,05), artinya semakin rendah kcemasan akademik, semakin tinggi kualitas tidur. Hasil analisis data uji beda menunjukkan bahwa kecemasan akademik dan kualitas tidur yang ditinjau berdasarkan jenis kelamin dan fakultas tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan. Implikasi dalam penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya upaya meningkatkan kualitas hidup mahasiswa di lingkungan akademik.

Abstract

The construction of an impulsivity measurement scale is one of the methods that can be used to assess the impulsive tendencies of prisoners in Correctional Institutions (LAPAS). This is because impulsivity is one of the factors that contribute to the formation of various behavioral and psychological problems in prisoners during their prison term. This study aims to produce a new impulsivity scale based on the characteristics of the impulsive behavior of prisoners. The sampling technique used is quota sampling. This research involved 227 respondents in study 1 and 375 respondents in study 2. The data analysis methods used were item response theory (IRT), exploratory factor analysis (EFA), and confirmatory factor analysis (CFA). The results of the development of the impulsivity scale produced 21 items with six factors forming impulsive behavior. The construct reliability of the six factors ranged from 0.74 - 0.84 and AVE ranged from 0.45 - 0.59. The goodness of fit results also show that the measurement model is acceptable. Abstract

Cumulating evidence suggests that high levels of spirituality can foster integrity. However, integrity violations remain prevalent, even among populations with strong religious beliefs. This study collected data from 2,800 students across 17 academic institutions in Indonesia and Malaysia to examine the relationship between their levels of spirituality and their perceptions of academic cheating. Although both countries have predominantly Muslim populations, they differ in how religious practices are implemented. The results revealed a significant correlation between spirituality and perceptions of cheating in both countries. However, one aspect of spirituality in Indonesia diverged from the broader concept, underscoring the complex and nuanced relationship between spirituality and religion. While these concepts often overlap, they also exhibit distinct differences. Such differences in spirituality and religiosity may help explain the paradox of integrity issues, including the prevalence of cheating within religious communities.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between social support from parents, teachers, and peers with shyness among high school students in Makassar. Shyness is a state of discomfort in social situations that leads individuals to withdraw from interaction. A total of 375 students participated in this study, selected through multistage non-random sampling techniques. Data were collected using a questionnaire consisting of the Child and Adolescent Social Support Scale (CASS) and a shyness scale. The results of the correlation analysis indicate a significant negative relationship between social support from parents, teachers, and peers and shyness. Among these, peer support has the greatest influence in reducing shyness in students. The findings of this study highlight the importance of social support, particularly from peers, in lowering levels of shyness and enhancing students' social interactions.

Abstract

Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji hubungan antara school-related social support dan flow akademik pada siswa SMA. School-related social support mencakup dukungan dari guru, teman sekelas, dan lingkungan sekolah yang berperan penting dalam pengalaman akademik siswa. Flow akademik adalah kondisi psikologis di mana individu terlibat penuh dalam aktivitas akademik, ditandai oleh konsentrasi, motivasi intrinsik, dan kepuasan. Menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif, penelitian ini melibatkan analisis korelasi untuk mengukur hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya hubungan positif dan signifikan antara school-related social support dan flow akademik dengan nilai korelasi r = 0,333 dan p = 0,001. Selain itu, diperoleh nilai R² sebesar 0,111, yang berarti school-related social support menjelaskan 11,1% variasi pada flow akademik. Temuan ini sejalan dengan penelitian sebelumnya yang menekankan pentingnya dukungan sosial dari guru dan teman sebaya dalam meningkatkan keterlibatan dan kesejahteraan akademik siswa. Penelitian ini menyoroti perlunya menciptakan lingkungan sekolah yang mendukung untuk memfasilitasi flow akademik siswa. Rekomendasi untuk penelitian selanjutnya adalah memperluas populasi dan mengeksplorasi faktor lain yang mungkin berkontribusi terhadap flow akademik. Kata Kunci: Academic Flow, School-related Social Support, High School Students

Abstract

Remaja seringkali dihadapkan dengan berbagai masalah salah satunya adalah kepercayaan diri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh body dissatisfaction terhadap kepercayaan diri pada remaja perempuan di kota Makassar. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kuantitatif dengan teknik analisis regresi ordinal. Responden dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 385 remaja perempuan yang berusia 15-22 tahun yang diperoleh menggunakan teknik accidental sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan antara body dissatisfaction (mean = 63,11 dan SD= 9,845) terhadap kepercayaan diri (mean = 88,53 dan SD = 7,080) pada remaja perempuan, (r = -0,223, p = 0,00 < 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi skor body dissatisfaction, maka semakin rendah kepercayaan diri pada remaja perempuan. Penelitian ini dapat menjadi acuan bagi remaja perempuan untuk meningkatkan body dissatisfaction dan mengatasi kepercayaan diri. Implikasi penelitian ini menekankan pentingnya upaya untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri di kalangan remaja perempuan dengan cara mengatasi body dissatisfaction.

Abstract

Adolescent girls undergo a developmental stage marked by significant physical and social changes that influence how they perceive themselves, particularly in relation to body image. During this period, they often feel as though they are constantly being observed and judged by others, a psychological phenomenon known as the imaginary audience. These perceptions can shape either a positive or negative body image. This study aimed to examine the relationship between body image and the imaginary audience among adolescent girls in Makassar City. This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and imaginary audience in adolescent girls in Makassar City. The subjects in this study were adolescent girls in Makassar City aged 15 to 17 years. The sample technique used was quota sampling. Body Image was measured using the Multidimensional Body-Self Relations Questionnaire-Appearance Scales (MBSRQ-AS), imaginary audience was measured using the New Imaginary Audience Scale (NIAS). Hypothesis testing using Spearman Rank correlation analysis. The results of the analysis obtained are p = 0.000 <0.005 or there is a very significant relationship between body image and imaginary audience in adolescent girls in Makassar City. The correlation coefficient of body image variable with imaginary audience is 0.476 or classified as moderate. These findings suggest that the more positive the body image, the greater the tendency to experience an imaginary audience. The implications highlight the importance to helping adolescent girls develop a positive body image so they can become more confident and less concerned about how others judge them.

Abstract

Taman kampus merupakan ruang terbuka hijau yang memiliki potensi besar sebagai tempat restoratif yang menunjang kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Namun, potensi ini sering kali terhambat oleh rendahnya kesadaran sivitas akademika terhadap pentingnya menjaga kebersihan taman. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji bagaimana edukasi kebersihan dapat meningkatkan kesadaran lingkungan dan berkontribusi terhadap kesejahteraan psikologis mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah pendekatan edukatif berupa penyuluhan dan diskusi interaktif yang dilaksanakan langsung di taman kampus dengan melibatkan 25 partisipan. Edukasi disampaikan secara lisan dan visual dengan menekankan pentingnya kebersihan sebagai bagian dari tanggung jawab sosial dan upaya menciptakan lingkungan yang mendukung kesehatan mental. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa edukasi diterima dengan baik oleh partisipan, memberikan pemahaman baru tentang keterkaitan antara kebersihan dan kesejahteraan psikologis, serta membangun kesadaran dan rasa memiliki terhadap ruang publik. Temuan ini memperkuat pentingnya taman kampus sebagai ruang edukatif dan restoratif yang mendukung pengalaman psikologis positif mahasiswa.

Abstract

Stres akademik merupakan masalah serius yang sering dialami oleh individu pada masa dewasa awal, terutama mahasiswa, akibat tuntutan akademik, sosial, dan persiapan karir. Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk memberikan psikoedukasi melalui media sosial Instagram sebagai upaya pencegahan stres akademik dengan beberapa metode seperti teknik pernapasan 4-7-8, manajemen waktu (Pomodoro), dan pembangunan resiliensi. Survei analisis kebutuhan dilakukan terhadap 31 responden pengguna Instagram yang didominasi oleh mahasiswa berusia 17–26 tahun, dengan masalah utama terkait akademik dan pengembangan diri. Psikoedukasi disampaikan dalam bentuk video pendek yang diunggah di Instagram yang telah ditonton sebanyak 1.864 kali, dengan interaksi pengguna (like, share, komentar, jumlah tayangan) yang bervariasi dan formulir evaluasi yang telah diisi oleh 33 responden. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa 81,8% responden menilai materi sangat bermanfaat, dengan mayoritas berniat menerapkan strategi yang diajarkan. Teknik pernapasan 4-7-8 dan Pomodoro terbukti efektif mengurangi kecemasan dan meningkatkan fokus. Kesimpulannya, psikoedukasi berbasis Instagram mampu menjangkau audiens secara luas dan memberikan dampak positif dalam meningkatkan kesadaran serta keterampilan mengelola stres akademik.

Abstract

Research on logical reasoning began to be carried out in Indonesia, it is necessary to conduct an evaluation of the psychometric characteristics possessed by logical reasoning measurement tools made by researchers. Logical reasoning measurement tools made by researchers need to be re-evaluated considering there are weaknesses in terms of using a relatively small number of subjects, so that it can affect the standardization of logical reasoning measuring devices. This study aims to obtain an overview of item difficulty index, item discrimination index, effectiveness of the distractors, validity, reliability, and error measurement from the logical reasoning measurement tool. Respondents in this study amounted to 7.730 students, consisting of 3.897 men and 3.833 women with an age range of 15-19 years. The research data were analyzed with the help of Microsoft Excel 2007, SPSS version 22.00, and ITEMAN version 3.6. The results of this study indicate that the item difficulty index moves from 0.35 to 0.80 which belongs to the easy and medium category. This study also shows that the item discrimination index moves from 0.10 to 0.71 with four items rejected and need to be aborted. This study also shows that the effectiveness of the distractors contained in each item in the logical reasoning measure is in the effective category. This study also shows that each item in the logical reasoning measure is considered valid in terms of factorial validity through exploratory factor analysis (EFA) procedures. This study also shows that the measurement of logical reasoning is relatively reliable with a Cronbach Alpha coefficient of 0.906. This study also shows that the measurement error obtained in this study is ± 3.92 of the total score obtained using a logical reasoning measure with a confidence level of 95%, with the actual score estimate obtained by respondents moving from 12.08 to 19.92, if the scores obtained by respondents sixteen.
