Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of motivation and learning achievement on the interest of XII grade students of SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda to continue their education to college. The research method used is quantitative. The sample of this study was class XII students of SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda, totaling 142 students. The data used are primary data with data collection techniques using questionnaires and secondary data with data collection techniques using documentation. The analysis method used in this research is multiple linear regression analysis. The results of the simultaneous test (F) obtained a value of 25.018> from 3.06 and has a significant value smaller than 0.05 indicates that the variables of motivation and learning achievement simultaneously affect the interest in continuing studies to college. Thus, this study shows that motivation has a significant effect on the interest of students in class XII of SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda to continue to college, although the effect of the president of learning is partially insignificant.

Abstract

The research in this thesis is motivated by the still low interest of vocational school students in continuing their education to tertiary institutions. Therefore, the focus of research in this thesis is how vocational school students are interested in continuing their education to college. This research aims to determine the interest of vocational school students in continuing their education to higher education at SMKN 1 Bengalon, East Kutai Regency. The type of research carried out was descriptive qualitative research. The informants in the research were class XII students. Data collection was carried out by direct observation and interviewing class XII students. Based on the research results, it shows that vocational school students' interest in continuing their education has increased. This can be seen from how students view career opportunities after graduating from college compared to just graduating from vocational school. Continuing education to college makes students believe that after graduating from college students will have greater opportunities in the field of work. Not only that, support from the surrounding environment influences the interest of students who want to continue their education and good academic aspects provide opportunities for students to be accepted at the desired university and study program.

Abstract

From this research, it was found that there were obstacles in implementing the learning process, namely, the lack of utilization of video learning media used at SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda. This is because in the learning process teachers mostly use lecture or power point methods as learning media. The methods used by the ASSURE model are Analyze Learner, State Standards and Objective, Select Strategies, Technology, media or materials, Utilize Technology, Media and Materials, Require Learned Participation, and Evaluate and Revise. Based on the results of this research, all stages carried out by researchers in developing this video learning media produced valid media based on expert assessments. Media experts gave a total score of 40 out of 45 with an eligibility percentage of 89.9%, so this video learning media was declared "Very Appropriate" for use. The material expert also gave a total score of 60 out of 65 with a feasibility percentage of 98.8%, so this video learning media was also declared "Very Appropriate" for use.

Abstract

Long Distance Marriage (LDM) is an increasingly common phenomenon in this era of globalization, where married couples are separated by long physical distances due to work, education, or other obligations. One of the biggest challenges that LDM couples face is maintaining emotional closeness and effective communication. This research aims to explore digital communication strategies that can be used to build and sustain emotional intimacy between husband and wife in LDM. Through qualitative methods, including in-depth interviews with 5 LDM couples, several key strategies were identified, such as the use of voice and video calls, text and voice messages, media sharing, and regular communication scheduling. The findings suggest that the quality of communication, including emotional depth, openness, and honesty, is critical in strengthening emotional bonds. Additionally, the consistency and frequency of communication are essential to keeping the relationship alive and dynamic. The Quran emphasizes the importance of communication based on truthfulness and sincerity, as seen in the verse: “O you who have believed, fear Allah and speak words of appropriate justice” (QS. Al-Ahzab: 70). This reinforces the idea that openness and honesty are fundamental to maintaining trust and emotional closeness, especially in LDM. The implications of this research highlight that by utilizing appropriate digital communication strategies and upholding the principles of openness and honesty, LDM couples can foster strong and enduring relationships, even when separated by physical distance.

Abstract

This research is to determine risk control from the results of identifying hazards that are likely to occur in loading and unloading activities on the MV. Aishakamila. The informans in this study were operational workers and crew of Kalla Lines at the port totaling 20 people with the Purposive Sampling technique. The results of this study found that the identified hazards in the loading and unloading process at PT. Bumi Lintas Tama, there were 21 identified hazards. The results of the risk assessment obtained from the 21 identified hazards from the loading and unloading process activities on the MV. Aishakamilah at the PT. Bumi Lintas Tama Car Terminal, there were results from the risk level after control was carried out, namely the High Risk level of 0 risks, the Moderate Risk level of 3 and the Low Risk level of 18 risks. From the observations conducted by researchers in the field, the loading and unloading activities on the MV. Aishakamila have 4 risk control hierarchies applied. The risk controls applied are substitution, engineering, administration, and personal protective equipment. From the results of the study, a way to reduce the level of risk of danger in vehicle loading and unloading operations on the MV. Aishakamilah is obtained by conducting a briefing before carrying out loading and unloading activities and always paying attention to PPE in working and paying attention to applicable SOPs

Abstract

This study aims to determine the thinking ability of SMA Negeri 1 Sangasanga students in solving HOTS standardized questions based on SOLO Taxonomy in economics subjects. The subjects of this study were students of class XI.3 who chose economics as a specialization subject. The type of research conducted in this study uses descriptive with a qualitative approach. The data analysis technique used is written test analysis and is elaborated with several stages which include data reduction, data presentation and verification. The results showed that the thinking ability of students in class XI.3 SMA Negeri 1 Sangasanga in solving economic problems with HOTS standards was quite good and diverse. Of the 31 students, none were at the Pre-structural level, 26% reached the Uni-structural level with 8 students, 61% reached the Multi-structural level with 19 students and 13% had reached the Relational level with 6 students.

Abstract

Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is an integral part of higher education curriculum in Indonesia, aimed at implementing the principles of the 1945 Constitution and related education laws. KKN involves students living and working in rural areas to assist in community development, aligning with the goals of higher education. However, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, KKN activities have been adapted for online implementation, with limited participation from specific university programs. Despite challenges, KKN remains a valuable experience for students, contributing to their personal and academic growth. Three distinct KKN activities were carried out: English Weekly Meeting, a webinar on sports during the pandemic, and a COVID-19 health equipment donation program. Each activity faced its own set of challenges, including student participation and logistical issues. In conclusion, KKN is a vital component of higher education in Indonesia, fostering community engagement and practical learning. To improve future KKN experiences, clearer communication between universities and students, stronger cooperation with partner schools, and optimized program execution are recommended.

Abstract

Anak dengan masalah keterlambatan bicara tentu akan sulit menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya. Meskipun sulit, anak dengan keterlambatan bicara pasti akan menemukan cara agar dapat menyesuaikan diri dengan lingkungannya. Berbicara menjadi salah hal penting dalam kehidupan manusia, karena dengan berbicara manusia dapat berkomunikasi dengan orang lain. Sasaran dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan Pemberdayaan ini adalah Sasaran kegiatan pengabmas ini adalah Guru dan Orang tua di SLB C Setya Dharma Surakarta dan masyarakat. Metode yang digunakanan adalah dengan penyuluhan dan pelatihan pada guru dan masyarakat. Hasil analisis perbandaingan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan diketahui dengan nilai negetif ranks pada N=0, mean renks=0.00 dan sum of ranks=0.00. Sedangkan hasil analisis diketahui nilai Asymp.Sig. Sig (2 tailed) = 0.00, yang artinya da peningkatan penyululuhan perbadingan sebelum dan sesudah penyuluhan. Pemberdayaan guru dan orang tua siswa dalam Deteksi dan Intervensi Gangguan Artikulasi Fonologi pada Anak, telah dilaksanakan di SLB C, Setya Dharma Surakarta, di ikuti oleh 50 orang peserta yang terdiri dari guru dan orang tua siswa SLB C Setya Dharma Surakarta yang dilaksanakan 4 tahap yaitu penjajagan lahan, pengurusan ijin, penyuluhan pelatihan dan evluasi.

Abstract

Used plastic cups are inorganic waste that is difficult to decompose and often discarded because they are considered useless. However, if managed properly, used plastic cups can be repurposed into various useful and aesthetically valuable craft products. Examples of crafts that can be made include fruit baskets, hijab hangers, decorative lamps, and flowers made from plastic cups. This recycling process not only helps reduce environmental pollution but also provides opportunities to create innovative and beneficial products. This activity is part of an international Community Service (PkM) program conducted by Universitas Muslim Indonesia (UMI) at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM). The program aims to provide participants at UKM with an understanding of the importance of entrepreneurship and creativity in managing plastic waste. Through this training, participants are expected to develop an entrepreneurial spirit, enhance their courage in facing challenges, and innovate to create solutions that are beneficial to both the environment and society
