Abstract

The importance of injury prevention in the world of sport, especially football, is increasingly recognized by health practitioners and coaches. This article aims to present an in-depth literature review on strategies for preventing ankle injuries in soccer athletes, with the main focus on increasing muscle strength and flexibility. The literature presented includes the latest research results, clinical guidelines, and empirical findings in an effort to increase ankle durability and stability. Literature analysis reveals that training programs aimed at strengthening the supporting muscles of the ankle, along with increasing flexibility, can reduce the risk of injury in soccer athletes. Additionally, this review explores effective post-injury rehabilitation methods to speed up the recovery process and prevent recurrence. Practical implications of this research include developing exercise programs tailored to individual needs, regular monitoring by medical staff, and educating athletes about the importance of prehabilitation treatment. The results of this literature review confirm that implementing an exercise program that focuses on increasing the strength and flexibility of the ankle supporting muscles is an effective strategy in preventing injuries and post-injury rehabilitation in soccer athletes. Conclusion Overall, muscle strengthening and increasing flexibility in the ankle is emerging as a significant approach in the prevention and management of injuries in soccer athletes, highlighting the crucial role of targeted training in improving their health and performance.

Abstract

This research aims to develop a tool for measuring catching-throwing skills using modern, effective, and efficient sensor technology. This tool is designed to increase accuracy in measuring catch-throwing skills. This type of research uses (R&D). This research involved three experts in their field: an electrical expert, an evaluation and measurement expert, and a physicist. A total of 30 participants participated in testing in a small group of 12 people and a large group of 18 people with an age range of 15-20 years. Testing is carried out with questionnaires and direct tests. The statistical analysis used is r-correlation with the help of the SPSS application. The test results show a high alpha coefficient, confirming that this tool is consistent and reliable in collecting data. Three experts carried out practicality testing: Electrical Experts, Evaluation and Measurement Experts, and Physicists. The results show that this tool is efficient, with practicality levels of 98%, 92%, and 89%, respectively. In addition, an excellent level of effectiveness is demonstrated by expert assessment results, which reach 99%, 89%, and 85%. With this tool, researchers and teachers can evaluate object control skills more efficiently and accurately and assist in collecting more comprehensive data. Overall, this tool for measuring throwing and catching skills provides significant innovation and is expected to support research and education in measuring and developing children's motor skills.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of the gymnastic learning model, which makes students more active during learning to improve students rolling skills. This type of research is an experiment with a pre and post-test design. 34 people with an average age of 15 years, consisting of 16 men and 18 women, participated in this study. Subjects were divided into two groups the experimental and control groups. They were taking research subjects using a purposive sampling technique. The control group carried out an independent study according to the instructions from the teacher, while the experimental group was treated with a play learning model according to the treatment program that had been made in each lesson. The forward roll skill test instrument uses a forward roll skill test sheet which contains a forward roll assessment indicator, which consists of 10 assessment indicators, starting from the initial phase, the primary phase, and the final phase for the forward roll movement. Data analysis was performed using the SPSS application with the Paired t-test method. This study's results reported a significant difference in the experimental group (p<0.05) compared to the control group. Each group has an average difference so that the learning model applied can improve forward-rolling skills in gymnastic materials.

Abstract

Objectives: This study aimed to develop and evaluate a comprehensive mind-body wellness program that integrates Zumba exercise and mindfulness training to optimize fat metabolism and enhance mental health outcomes in sedentary adults. Methods: A quasi-experimental design was employed with 60 adult participants (aged 20-40) randomly assigned to an intervention group (n = 30) and a control group (n = 30). The intervention group underwent a 12-week program combining 3 sessions of Zumba (60 min each) and 2 mindfulness sessions (30 min each) per week. Comprehensive measurements included body mass index (BMI), body fat percentage, waist-to-hip ratio, fasting lipid profile, cortisol levels, Beck Depression Inventory-II (BDI-II), Perceived Stress Scale (PSS), Five Facet Mindfulness Questionnaire (FFMQ), and Physical Activity Enjoyment Scale (PACES). Data were analyzed using paired t-tests, independent t-tests, repeated measures ANOVA, and effect size calculations. Results: Participants in the intervention group showed significant reductions in BMI (-2.1 ± 0.4, p < 0.01), body fat percentage (-4.8%, p < 0.01), waist-to-hip ratio (-0.08 ± 0.02, p < 0.01), and stress levels (-6.2 ± 1.8, p < 0.01) compared to controls. Significant improvements were also observed in positive affect, mindfulness scores, exercise enjoyment, and cortisol regulation. Effect sizes were large for most outcome measures (Cohen's d > 0.8). Conclusion: The integration of Zumba exercise and mindfulness training in a structured wellness program effectively improved both metabolic and psychological health markers with sustained effects. These findings highlight the potential of hybrid physical-psychological interventions in holistic health promotion and provide evidence for community-based wellness programs
