Abstract

This research is motivated by the low learning activity and critical thinking skills of students in science learning in elementary schools. Students tend to be passive and lack understanding of the material presented. One effort that can be made is to apply the Guided Inquiry learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the guided inquiry learning model on students' learning activities and critical thinking skills in science learning. The research conducted was a quantitative study using a quasi-experimental design involving two groups, namely the control group using conventional methods and the experimental group using the guided inquiry learning model. Data were collected through pretest and posttest. The results showed that the experimental group that applied the guided inquiry learning model experienced a significant increase compared to the control group using conventional learning. After being treated using the inquiry learning model, learning activities increased by 30.87% and critical thinking skills increased by 73.52%. The t-test showed a significant difference (p = 0.000) both in learning activities and critical thinking skills. For the correlation test, it was obtained as much as 0.832 and the percentage of the influence of the learning activity variable and critical thinking ability was 69.20%. Then in the N-gain analysis, the learning activity of the experimental group had an N-gain of 0.76 in the high category while the control group data was obtained as much as 0.45 which was in the medium category. The N-Gain analysis of critical thinking ability for the experimental group was 0.76 in the high category, while for the control class it was 0.4988 in the medium category.

Abstract

Students have not been actively involved in finding their own concepts or learning materials. One effort that can be made is to use the Problem Based Learning model. This study aims to determine the effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' problem-solving ability and learning motivation in Mathematics learning in Grade V of Elementary School. The type of research used is Quasi Experimental. The sample of this study was class Va students as the experimental class and class VB students as the control class. While to test the hypothesis using the independent t test. To determine the relationship between problem-solving ability and learning motivation, a correlation test was carried out. The results of this study indicate that there is an effect of the Problem Based Learning model on students' problem-solving ability and learning motivation in Mathematics learning in Grade V of Elementary School. Details of the data analysis results are: The results of the independent t test on problem-solving ability obtained a significant value of 0.761 for the pretest and 0.000 for the posttest. By taking a significance value of 5%, it is concluded that the Ha of this study is accepted, while H1 is rejected, meaning that there is an influence of the Problem Based Learning learning model on students' problem-solving ability in Mathematics learning; The results of the independent t test on learning motivation obtained a significance value of 0.588 for the pretest and 0.000 for the posttest.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the needs for developing an integrated instructional model to enhance elementary pre-service teachers’ mathematical problem-solving skills in geometry and measurement. A qualitative needs analysis was conducted through diagnostic tests, interviews, classroom observations, and document analysis involving pre-service teachers and educators. Findings reveal significant difficulties in understanding abstract concepts, low confidence in problem-solving, and minimal integration of science contexts in current mathematics instruction. Despite these challenges, participants expressed strong interest in interdisciplinary, context-based learning. The results highlight the potential of integrating video and mathematical modeling into Problem-Based Learning (PBL) to improve problem comprehension and engagement. Based on the data, the PBL-ViMo model—combining PBL, video-based problem orientation (Vi), and mathematical modeling (Mo)—was developed as a responsive and structured approach. Video facilitates visual understanding of real-world problems, while modeling provides a systematic framework for translating contexts into mathematical solutions. The study concludes that the PBL-ViMo model addresses identified learning gaps and offers an innovative, learner-centered strategy to strengthen both conceptual understanding and pedagogical competence in mathematics teacher education.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan Untuk menghasilkan media pembelajaran video animasi dan media pembelajaran media pembelajaran video animasi berbantuan software powtoon pada materi volume bangun ruang di kelas V Sekolah Dasar yang praktis. Jenis Penelitian ini adalah penelitian dan Pengembangan R & D (Research and Method). Model Pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah R&D Borg & Gall yang telah dimodifikasi dengan model prosedural. Subjek uji coba dalam penelitian ini terbagi atas uji coba terbatas dan uji coba lapangan yang ditujukan kepada siswa kelas V SD Negeri 06 Parit Antang Bukittinggi dengan jumlah peserta didik sebanyak 21 siswa dan subjek penelitianya Kelas V SD N 03 Pakan Labuah. Jenis data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ada dua jenis, yaitu kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Adapun kesimpulan dari penelitian ini ada dua hal berikut ini. Pertama, Berdasarkan hasil akhir dari uji validitas pengembangan media pembelajaran berbantuan software powtoon dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran sudah valid dan layak diuji cobakan di lapangan. Kedua, Hasil uji praktikalitas media pembelajaran berbantuan software powtoon yang peneliti kembangkan sudah dinyatakan praktis oleh peserta didik dan juga guru di kelas V Sekolah Dasar baik disekolah uji coba maupun di sekolah penelitian.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis peserta didik pada materi KPK dan FPB di kelas V SDN 11 Lubuk Jaya Kabupaten Solok Selatan. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan dalam 2 siklus melalui tahap perencanaan, pelaksanaan, pengamatan dan refleksi. Subjek penelitian ini adalah peserta didik di kelas V sebanyak 16 orang. Data penelitian diperoleh dari penilaian Modul Ajar, proses pelaksanaan dan hasil kemampuan pemecahan masalah. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan yaitu observasi, tes dan no tes. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan dari siklus I ke siklus II pada semua aspek penelitian. Rata-rata skor aspek modul ajar meningkat dari 85,4% (B) menjadi 95,8% (SB). aspek aktivitas guru dari 89,06% (B) menjadi 96,87% (SB). aspek aktivitas peserta didik dari 89,06% (B) menjadi 96,87% (SB). Hasil tes kemampuan pemecahan masalah peserta didik dari 79,5, menjadi 91. Rata-rata indikator pemecahan masalah dengan langkah Polya juga meningkat, yaitu memahami masalah dari 85,94% menjadi 92,18%, merencanakan solusi dari 69,78%, menjadi 80,20%, melaksanakan rencana dari 85,62%, menjadi 98,12%, dan melihat kembali dari 72,56% menjadi 88,02%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa model Problem Based Learning (PBL) dengan langkah Polya dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah pada materi KPK dan FPB di Sekolah Dasar.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to know correlations between problem-solving ability with mathematics learning result for 4th grade students at public elementary school 27 in Padang city for the 2017/2018 academic year. The type of this research is correlations. The population of the research is all 4th grade students of SD N 27 Sungai Sapih was 42 students, then 21 students as sample. The data analysis using simple linear regression analysis. the research result shows that correlation coefficient of 0,7036. in interval 0,70 ≤ r > 0,90 with a degree of strong or high corrrelations. It means 0,7036 have a strong or high  correlations. Then the result of significant correlation coefficient with α = 0,05 showed  and . Because . It means that  is accepted.Keywords: Problem Solving Ability; Learning Result.

Abstract

The purpose of this research to knowing the differences in cognitive learning outcomes student of Mathematics Between Model Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) with model Realistic Mathematic Education (RME). This type of research is a quasi experiment research with non equivalent control group design. The sample in this research is class VA and VB SD 38 Lubuk Sao. Teknik data collection using test. Test the hypothesis in this study using the formula t-test. Based on the results showed that the average of the CTL class was 83,63  and the RME class average was 77,125. Based on the calculation of t test (t-test) on posttest obtained tcount (5,12) >  ttabel (1,69). As Ha is accepted, is mean differences in cognitive learning outcomes student of Mathematics Between Model Contextual Teaching And Learning (CTL) with model Realistic Mathematic Education (RME).

Abstract

The objective  of this study is to find out the effect of implementing the Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach on the learning results of symmetry in elementary school students. The type of research of this study is a quasi-experimental research with the research design of nonequivalent control group design. The research sample is the students of 5th-grade of class VA and class VB in state-owned elementary school No. 23 Marapalam, Padang. The sampling technique of this study is a purposive sampling. The study utilized a test in the form of multiple choise questions as the research instrument. Data were analyzed using the t-test. Based on the tcalculation(3,00) > ttable(2,00), it is concluded that there is a significant effect of the implementation of the Pendidikan Matematika Realistik Indonesia (PMRI) approach to the learning results of symmetry in elementary school.  Keywords: PMRI approach, learning results.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the learning outcomes improvement of circumference and area of two-dimentional figures by using problem based learning (PBL) models at Grade IV SDN 17 Manggis Ganting Bukittinggi. This type of research is Classroom Action Research using qualitative and quantitative approaches. The research subjects were teachers as observers, the researcher as practitioner, and 28 students of grade IV. The results of the first cycle study on the RPP an average of 82.81% (good), increased in the second cycle to 93.75% (very good). The implementation of the first cycle of teacher activity on average 82.14% (enough), increased in the second cycle to 96.42% (very good). Implementation of the first cycle of student activity on average 80.35% (enough), increased in the second cycle to 92.85% (very good). Student learning outcomes in the first cycle I meeting an average of 64.1 (C +), increased in the first cycle of meeting II to 69.2 (B-), increased in the second cycle to 76.25 (B +). Thus, it was concluded that the PBL model can improve mobile learning outcomes and flat build area in elementary schools.

Abstract

The research is aimed to find  the effect of Indonesian realistic mthematics education (PMRI) approach on factors and multiple becoming outcomes in students grade IV SD Gugus III Kecamatan Payakumbuh Barat.. This research is quasi-experimental research with nonequivalent control group design. The sample was taken by using cluster sampling technique and the sample are students in class IV SDN 09 Payakumbuh which consistsof two classes, 28 students in IVA and 28 students in IVB . The results of the calculation of the research data used are t-test obtained by t count 2.2236> t table 2.0048 at the level of α 0.05. It can be concluded that there is a significant effect PMRI approach on factors and multipleslearning outcomes in Class IV SD Gugus III Kecamatan Payakumbuh Barat.Keywords : PMRI Approach, Learning Outcomes, Factors and Multiples
