Abstract

The numeracy skill of elementary school students in border area Nunpene East Nusa Tenggara is still relatively low. This is caused by the students’ habit use counting aid such as calculators. Therefore, it is necessary to have a Lecturer activity in the community to help elementary school students which aim to improve their numeracy skills. Because mathematics teaches various skills, one of which is counting. So that the ability to count is a fundamental thing that must be mastered by students when they learn mathematics. One of learning method that can be done to improve students' numeracy skills is by applying the Jarimatika method which involves the students' own organs directly. Indirectly cognitive and psychomotor abilities will develop simultaneously so as to increase the efficiency of students' counting speed. As for the steps of the service, the method are including the introduction of the counting method, assistance during the learning process, then providing an evaluation. The results of this training are that after the training, it can be seen from the posttest results that students have increased their numeracy skills using the Jarimatika method. As well as increasing the knowledge of mathematics teachers regarding the use of the Jarimatika method as an alternative method of numeracy

Abstract

The year 2045 marks 100 years since Indonesia gained its independence. The government's vision for that year is Golden Indonesia 2045. In the final draft of the 2025-2045 RPJPN of the Ministry of National Development Planning / Bappenas there are five main targets of the 2045 Golden Indonesia Vision. In this article, a forecast is conducted using the Least Square method to determine whether Indonesia can achieve this vision by 2045. There are 8 aspects that will be forecasted which are considered to represent the five targets of Golden Indonesia 2045. The eight aspects are Human Development Index; Information and Communication Technology Development Index; Per Capita Income Data; Poverty Rate; Open Unemployment Rate; National Road Stability; Provincial Road Stability; and District and City Road Sustainability.

Abstract

Mathematics learning is often considered difficult by students because the concept is abstract, especially the topic of systems of linear inequalities in two variables (SPtLDV). The limitations of visualization in conventional learning lead to low conceptual understanding and impact student learning outcomes. Learning media that can present interactive visual representations are needed to help students understand mathematical concepts concretely. This study aims to evaluate students' mathematics learning outcomes after using RStudio-based interactive learning media on the topic of SPtLDV. This study used a quantitative approach, involving 36 grade X students of SMA Negeri 1 Kefamenanu. Learning outcome data were obtained through pretest and posttest. Data analysis was carried out using descriptive statistics, boxplot visualization to illustrate data distribution, and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test at a significance level of 5% to test the difference in scores before and after learning. The results of the analysis showed that the average posttest score was higher than the pretest, accompanied by a shift in the distribution of scores towards a higher direction in the boxplot visualization. The Wilcoxon signed-rank test showed a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores (p < 0.05). These findings indicate that the use of RStudio-based interactive learning media is associated with improved student learning outcomes the topic of SPtLDV. This research contributes to the development of statistical software as an interactive visualization medium to support mathematics learning at the secondary school level.Keyword: Interactive Learning Media, RStudio, Mathematics Learning Outcomes.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to train skills and improve bibliography writing skills using the Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers for Wini State Junior High School teachers. Community service activity was carried out at Wini State Junior High School, North Central Timor Regency, East Nusa Tenggara. The training method is carried out in the following stages: lectures, demonstrations, discussions/questions and answers. The training activities were carried out face-to-face with the training participants as many as 13 Wini State Junior High School teachers. Based on the results of the training activities, it was found that the training of using  Mendeley Desktop has a positive impact toward development of teachers' abilities in writing scientific papers. The results of training activities related to the understanding of teachers in the technical use of Mendeley Desktop, a significant increase was obtained. Prior to the training, 8% of the training participants had a good understanding, 15% had sufficient understanding, and 77% had a poor understanding of using Mendeley Desktop in writing scientific papers. After the training, 62% of the participants had a very good understanding. 23% of participants have good understanding, the other 15% of participants have sufficient understanding. Thus, it can be concluded that the Mendeley Desktop application training was successful in carrying out knowledge transfer to the trainees.

Abstract

Abstract

This study develops a Big Data-based plagiarism detection system using Similarity Measures to enhance objectivity and efficiency in evaluating student assignments. Employing a Research and Development (R&D) approach, the system processes .pdf and .docx documents through text preprocessing and computes similarities using Jaccard and Cosine Similarity. Testing on assignments from the Information Technology Program at the University of Timor showed that Cosine Similarity is more sensitive to sentence structure, while Jaccard better detects identical phrases. Around 40% of documents exceeded a 40% similarity threshold, indicating potential plagiarism. The system offers fast, flexible detection via a web interface, though it remains limited in identifying semantic or paraphrased content. Future improvements will incorporate NLP techniques to enhance accuracy and academic integrity
