The data sources used are the population and samples, then the data collection technique is carried out by means of observation, interviews and documentation. The results showed that the practice of buying and selling California papayas on trees that occurred in Duampanua Village was a transaction that was often carried out by the community when California papayas were ready to be harvested. The reason farmers buy and sell is because it is considered practical The mechanism for evaluating the buying and selling of fruit on the tree is carried out by means of farmers and buyers alike appraising the fruit on the tree after estimating the amount of the harvest then determining the price There are two methods of determining the price, namely paying cash and paying after harvest while the implementation of the Ijab and Kabul is carried out orally in Islamic economics the practice of buying and selling fruit on trees is included in the practice of buying and selling fruit which is halal. Considering that the practice of buying and selling fruit on trees in Duampanua Village, Andreapi Polewali Mandar District, the fruit has been seen and there is also a contract system which has been agreed upon in the contract where the farmer's tree will change hands within a period of several months according to the agreed contract.

Abstract

Banking functions primarily as an intermediation institution that collects and channels funds as credit. Sharia Banks guarantee Sharia compliance in every transaction. Among their activities is ijarah financing and its derivative, Ijarah Muntahiya Bittamlik (IMBT). This research aims to: (1) Understand the concept of waad in the MUI Fatwa and the IMBT contract at Bank Muamalat; (2) Assess the suitability of the MUI fatwa regarding waad on IMBT at Bank Muamalat; (3) Identify challenges and obstacles to implementing the fatwa. This field research, conducted at Bank Muamalat Indonesia's Makassar Branch, employs normative and qualitative methods. Findings reveal that the waad concept in the MUI fatwa is binding and must be implemented if conditions are met, and this applies to IMBT contracts at Bank Muamalat. The IMBT implementation aligns with MUI Fatwa principles and the Financial Services Authority. Challenges include limited public knowledge, fluctuating costs, and customer apathy. The research provides insights and implications for Islamic banking and its customers, serving as a reference for practitioners, policymakers, and researchers. It encourages future research to explore alternative methodologies, enhancing the body of knowledge and yielding more robust outcomes.

Abstract

Al-Maududi and Abdullah Saeed are Muslim scholars. He contributed various thoughts in the field of economics, one of which is related to usury and bank interest. But there are differences of opinion between the two.  The purpose of this study is to look at the views of Al-Maududi and Abdullah Saeed regarding usury and bank interest. The method used is a literature study with a descriptive qualitative approach. Data sources come from secondary data sources, namely journals and books related to the discussion. The result of the research is that Al-Maududi firmly rejects bank interest because the institution is a source of danger and evil through its influence on human character because it is influenced by the love of money. In addition, Al-Maududi stated that there is an element of injustice in bank interest and it is clearly prohibited in Islam. While Abdullah Saeed views the prohibition of usury based on the historical situation and conditions behind the revelation of the verse, so related to bank interest Abdullah Saeed argues that bank interest is not included in usury because the context of usury in ancient times is very much different from usury today.

Abstract

The goal of this research is to learn more about the institutionalization of the Islamic economy in Indonesia, which is a fair economic system that works to preserve social and political life within bounds that don't jeopardize the general welfare. This study employs a method known as a literature review or literature study. The findings of this study show that external factors, such as the establishment of Islamic banks in other nations, trade missions, and preaching that facilitate the implementation of the Islamic economic system, have played a significant role in the history of Islamic economic thought and institutionalization in Indonesia. The internal aspect is public awareness, namely Muslim intellectuals' efforts to adopt an Islamic-based economic system among Indonesia's mostly Muslim population. With several laws controlling Islamic contracts and goods, institutionalization, and systems run by Islamic banks in Indonesia, the Islamic economy has up until now continued to grow. The growth of Islamic economic institutions, however, still falls short of Islamic financial literacy, where knowledge of Islamic economics is still quite poor.

Abstract

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the management of waqf through money and its implications for the development of social institutions in the Muslim community. The research departs from the phenomenon of cash waqf management in Nazhir waqf which is not in accordance with the mandate of the legislation, namely cash waqf must be managed and invested in Islamic financial institutions. This study uses a qualitative method (qualitative method) with a phenomenological approach. The data were obtained through in-depth interviews and documents on Baitul Maal Muamalat, LAWAZIS DDI, Yatim Mandiri, and LAZISNU PCNU Parepare, and the Ministry of Religion. The results showed that the form of cash waqf management at waqf institutions was in the form of waqf through money. This form of waqf is not invested in Islamic financial institutions. However, the receipt of waqf donations through cash is directly channeled to waqf programs in the form of real assets. The implications of waqf management through money on the development of social institutions are very significant. Yatim Mandiri allocates waqf through money for scholarships, and means of learning studios for the Qur'an and mathematics. Baitul Maal Muamalat allocated waqf through money for the construction of the Adetarinah mosque in Antang. LAWAZIS DDI allocates waqf through money for the construction of the DDI secretariat and the Tahfidz Institute in Makassar. LAZISNU PCNU Parepare allocates waqf through money for land acquisition and construction of facilities and infrastructure for the Zubdatul Asrar Islamic boarding school in Parepare.
