Abstract

The background of this study is the lack of innovative and environmentally friendly learning media in the biology learning process, especially in explaining abstract concepts such as the human circulatory system. The development of this teaching aid utilizes inorganic waste such as plastic bottles, wood or plywood, cardboard, and used hoses that are easily found in the surrounding environment, thus supporting the principles of environment-based learning and student creativity. This study aims to develop waste-based biology learning aids used in the material on the human circulatory system at SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok. Research and development or known as Research and Development (R&D). The development model used is the ADDIE model (Analysis, design, development, implementation and evaluation). which is modified into several stages, namely: potential and problems, data collection, product design, design validation, design revision, product trial, and final revision. Validity tests are carried out by material experts and media experts, while feasibility tests are carried out through observation and questionnaires of teachers and grade XI students at SMA Negeri 1 Sipirok. The results of the study indicate that this waste-based teaching aid is very suitable for use as a learning medium with a feasibility percentage by material experts of 80% and by media experts of 90%. In addition, the responses of students and teachers to the use of this teaching aid are very positive with an average score above 90.62%. This tool not only helps students understand the concept of blood circulation visually and practically, but also instills awareness of the importance of waste management and creativity in creating useful learning media. Thus, the development of this waste-based biology learning aid can be an innovative and educational solution in improving the quality of biology learning in secondary schools

Abstract

This research was conducted in Grade VI at SD 200223 Sibulan-bulan Padangsidimpuan during the academic year 2023/2024, focusing on the topic of fractions. The aim of this study was to determine the effect of the Realistic Mathematics Approach on students' understanding of concepts in Grade VI at SD 200223 Sibulan-bulan. The study utilized a Post-Test-Only Control Group design and was of quasi-experimental nature. It involved an experimental group receiving the Realistic Mathematics Education Approach treatment and a control group not receiving such treatment. Both groups were selected randomly. The research findings indicate that students' understanding of mathematical concepts was better when using the Realistic Mathematics Approach compared to conventional learning methods. Based on the hypothesis testing results, it was found that t-count > t-table (2.23 > 1.98) and the Sig. value = 0.018, indicating that there is a positive effect of the Realistic Mathematics Education Approach (RME) on students' conceptual understanding. Based on the above findings, it is recommended that the learning process in schools use the Realistic Mathematics Education Approach, as it can improve students' conceptual understanding and mathematical abilities.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi yang pesat menuntut dunia pendidikan untuk terus berinovasi dalam menciptakan pembelajaran yang interaktif dan relevan dengan kebutuhan peserta didik di era digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran matematika berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematika siswa kelas VII SMP IT Al-Aziz. Model pengembangan yang digunakan adalah ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisis, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Media AR dirancang untuk memvisualisasikan materi kubus dan balok dalam bentuk objek tiga dimensi yang interaktif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa media yang dikembangkan tergolong sangat valid dengan persentase 92,02%, sangat praktis sebesar 92,03%, serta efektif ditunjukkan oleh nilai N-Gain sebesar 52,52% dalam kategori sedang. Penggunaan media AR membantu siswa memahami konsep secara lebih konkret, meningkatkan minat, motivasi, dan keterlibatan dalam pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, media pembelajaran berbasis AR layak digunakan sebagai alternatif inovatif dalam pembelajaran matematika abad ke-21 untuk meningkatkan literasi matematika siswa.

Abstract

Graf planar merupakan salah satu objek kajian fundamental dalam teori graf yang memiliki peranan penting dalam pengembangan matematika murni maupun penerapannya pada ilmu komputer dan rekayasa sistem. Seiring dengan meningkatnya kebutuhan akan efisiensi komputasi dan pemodelan sistem kompleks, penelitian mengenai graf planar terus berkembang baik dari sisi teoritis maupun aplikatif. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara terfokus tren, fokus kajian, dan arah pengembangan penelitian graf planar berdasarkan sepuluh artikel ilmiah terpilih yang terindeks Scopus dan Sinta pada periode 2013–2024. Metode yang digunakan adalah studi literatur kualitatif dengan instrumen utama berupa lembar analisis dokumen yang memuat aspek topik penelitian, metode, kontribusi teoretis, serta aplikasi yang dibahas. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui penelusuran basis data jurnal ilmiah dan seleksi artikel berdasarkan kriteria relevansi dan kebaruan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kajian graf planar saat ini terkonsentrasi pada empat arah utama, yaitu peningkatan efisiensi algoritme embedding dan branch-decomposition, generalisasi teorema klasik seperti Euler dan Kuratowski, pengembangan graf planar dalam kerangka fuzzy dan neutrosophic, serta penerapannya dalam optimasi tata letak sistem elektronik (VLSI) dan visualisasi data. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa riset graf planar telah mengalami pergeseran signifikan dari kajian teoretis murni menuju pendekatan multidisipliner yang berorientasi pada pemecahan masalah nyata dalam era komputasi modern.

Abstract

Systematic literature review (SLR) ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis perkembangan mutakhir dalam aplikasi, hubungan teoritis, dan inovasi pemodelan Distribusi Probabilitas Diskrit menggunakan korpus sembilan artikel jurnal yang terfokus pada Distribusi Binomial, Poisson, Hipergeometrik, serta variasinya. Analisis tematik yang mendalam mengidentifikasi tiga domain penelitian krusial: 1) Aplikasi Klasik, yang menunjukkan relevansi model dasar dalam mengukur probabilitas keberhasilan di sektor pendidikan, kualitas layanan, dan pengendalian produksi; 2) Validasi Teoritis dan Praktis Aproksimasi Antar Distribusi, yang membahas konvergensi menuju Distribusi Normal dan dampaknya pada acceptance sampling (sampling penerimaan); dan 3) Pengembangan Model Mixed Poisson Baru untuk mengatasi masalah overdispersion pada data hitungan (count data). Temuan kunci menunjukkan bahwa model Poisson standar yang mengasumsikan equidispersion (rata-rata sama dengan varians) semakin tidak memadai untuk data frekuensi klaim asuransi dan data radiasi. Hal ini mendorong penciptaan model-model yang lebih fleksibel, seperti Distribusi Poisson-Darna dan Distribusi Mixed Poisson Transmuted Weighted Exponential, yang memberikan kecocokan superior dalam pemodelan data kompleks di dunia nyata.

Abstract

This study was conducted to improve the understanding of physics concepts of grade XI-7 students of SMA Negeri 2 Sibolga through the application of the problem based learning (PBL) learning model supported by the use of student waorksheets (LKPD) on static flui material. This study applied th classroom action research (CAR) method which was carried out in two cycles. Each cycle consisted of the stage of planning, action implementation, observation sheets and test to measure conceptual understanding. The results of the study showed a gradual increase in the level of learning completion, namely from 13% in the pre-cycle I, 61.29% in the first meeting of cycle II, and reaching 82% in the second meeting of cycle II with an average value above 75. This finding proves that the use of the PBL model assisted by LKPD is able to significantly increase student’s activeness, involvement, and understanding of physics concepts when compared to conventional learning

Abstract

This study was conducted with the aim of discussing mathematics learning media in Elementary Schools. This research is a literature study. Literature study research data were obtained from documents or library sources. The information search process with researchers looking for information either from national journals or books related to the research title. The results of this study are that learning media are anything that can be used to convey messages (learning materials), so that they can stimulate students' attention, interest, thoughts, and feelings in learning activities to achieve learning goals.The conclusion of this study is that mathematics learning media are tools used to support mathematics learning so that students understand the material better and can stimulate students' thought patterns. The function of mathematics learning media is to make mathematics learning more interesting and to make it easier for children to learn mathematics.

Abstract

Understanding mathematical concepts at the elementary school level is often a challenge due to the abstract nature of the material and the lack of learning approaches that are appropriate to the stage of students' cognitive development. This urgency demands innovation in the application of contextual and adaptive learning models. This article aims to review and analyze the effectiveness of various relevant mathematics learning models applied in elementary schools, especially in the material of flat shapes, through literature studies and empirical reviews. The method used is descriptive qualitative research with a literature review approach, referring to theoretical sources and the latest research results. The results of the study show that models such as Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL), Problem- Based Learning (PBL), and Indonesian Realistic Mathematics Education (PMRI) can significantly improve students' conceptual understanding, engagement, and critical thinking skills. In conclusion, the development of effective learning models requires systemic support from teachers, schools, and policy makers. This study recommends the need to strengthen teacher competence and cross-sector collaboration to support meaningful and sustainable mathematics learning innovations.
