Abstract

This research investigates the effect of the Project Based Learning (PjBL) model on students' creative thinking during the digestive system learning at SMAS Brigjend Katamso II. This type of research is a quasi-experiment with a non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study was all XI students at SMAS Brigjend Katamso II, which consisted of 4 classes with a total of 135 students. The research sample using the Cluster Random Sampling technique consisted of two classes: Science 2 with 34 students as the experimental class and Science 3 with 34 students as the control class. The research instrument used was a description test consisting of 4 questions to measure students' creative thinking abilities. This research hypothesis was carried out using the T-test with normal and homogeneous conditions. The results of the post-test analysis of the T test obtained tcount 4.34 and ttable 1.69, thus showing the hypothesis test results that tcount > ttable where Ha was accepted and Ho was rejected. So, there is the influence of the project based learning model on the ability to think creatively about the digestive system material for class XI SMA/MA students.

Abstract

This study aims to develop stem-based e-modules on genetic material in an effort to improve the quality of biology learning. The research method used is Research and Development (R&D) with a 4D development model. The results showed that the stem-based e-module in genetics had gone through the validation process by material experts and media experts, with the percentage of validity and materials of 95%, the ability and contextualization of 87.5%, and a score of 100% for appearance and programming and 97.2% for presentation from media experts. This e-module is considered very practical based on the assessment of teachers and students in small and large-scale trials, with a percentage of practicality of 94.23% for the teacher, 76.538% for small scale students, and 78.32% for large scale students. The implementation of e-modules in biological learning is also proven to be quite effective, with a percentage of effectiveness of 58.46% and the N-Gain value of 0.58, which is included in the medium category. The conclusion is that the development of stem-based e-modules in genetic material is an effective innovation in improving the quality of biology learning, providing interactive learning experiences, encouraging students to be more active in the learning process, and increasing students' understanding of genetic material. Abstract

A teacher, especially a science subject teacher at SMP PAB 10 Medan Estate, is required to choose and use a variety of appropriate learning methods or strategies to help improve student learning outcomes. One of the efforts that can be made to improve biology learning outcomes and meet biology goals is to apply an appropriate learning model. In this study using quantitative research methods where in this study we conducted experiments on 2 classes of SMP PAB 10 Medan Estate. The conventional method of sampling technique used in this study is a random technique sampling where the population has an equal opportunity to become the research sample. The selection of this sample was carried out by drawing lots of three classes with the same major to take two classes that would be used as research samples (random class in parallel class). This research was conducted in class IX at SMP PAB 10 Medam Estate, academic year 2022/2023. The number of samples in this study were 64 students. This sample is divided into 2 classes where the first class is an experimental class which is taught using the STAD type cooperative learning method and the second group is a control class which is taught by the lecture method which only asks students to pay attention to the material provided by the teacher.

Abstract

Education is an initial container for producing high-quality human resources. Practicum is a learning activity aimed at providing students with opportunities to test and apply theories using laboratory facilities and also outside the laboratory. The purpose of this research is to analyze the level of need of biology education students for practicum modules. In conducting this research, the researcher used the Descriptive method with a qualitative approach. The researcher selected 15 Biology students as the sample for this study. The instrument used for the practicum was interviews, where aspects inquired about the importance of modules in practicum and the conditions of practicum without modules. Meanwhile, the data analysis used in this research was qualitative data analysis, which involved summarizing the results of the interviews that had been described. Modules are highly essential in practicum because without modules, there would be no guidance when conducting a practicum. Modules are comparable to books that provide instructions before conducting practicum and also serve as a source of additional information related to the upcoming practicum.

Abstract

Education in the 21st century aims to build the ability of students' intelligence in learning to solve problems in everyday life. This study aims to determine students' problem-solving ability in the field of reproductive system and investigate the factors that influence it. This study used quantitative research with descriptive method and involved 29 students. Data was collected through distributing questionnaires with 32 statements and 10 essay questions on problem solving ability to determine the truth of descriptive statistics and analyze the factors that influence students' problem solving ability and their data. Data analysis shows the average presentation of the questionnaire problem solving ability of MAS Muhammadiyah 1 Medan of 63% is included in the sufficient category. While the test results of the problem solving ability analysis questions on the material of the human reproductive system, MAS Muhammadiyah 1 Medan obtained an average of 43% including in the very weak category. students' problem solving ability is fairly weak due to several factors that influence it, namely the lack of student learning motivation, the ability to solve problems that are empowered has not been maximized.

Abstract

Interest in learning is important in supporting student academic achievement. This often happens in biology subjects in the classroom. Many students expressed boredom in the lesson. Therefore, researchers will dig deeper related to aspects of student's interest in biology learning. The method used is literature study, which analyzes previous research. The results obtained are factors that influence student learning interest in biology subjects depends on student interest in teachers when teaching, interest in biology subjects, feeling happy with the way teachers teach and delivering material, attention to biology subjects, and being involved in the learning process and student tenacity when learning. In addition, internal factors (physical health, drive, arousal, and grasping ability) and external influences (environment, parents, teachers, learning styles, etc.) can affect students' interest in learning, the most important in interest in learning biology in the classroom is the initial and strong intention that students have when learning biology begins in class

Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian untuk mengembangkan media video pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Biologi dengan materi sistem pernapasan Kelas XI MAL (Madrasah Aliyah Laboratorium ) .Penelitian ini dilakukan pada hari Sabtu ,20 Mei 2023.Tujuan penelitian ini yaitu untuk mengembangkan media videopembelajaran pada mata pelajaran biologi dengan materi sistem pernapasan dan untuk mengetahui validasi media video pembelajaran pada materi sistem pernapasan menurut ahli media ,ahli materi dan guru biologi. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah observasi dan wawancara .Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi ahli,lembar penilaian guru dan angket untuk siswa. Penelitian ini menunjukkan hasil validasi ahli media sebesar 89% atau layak digunakan dan hasil validasi ahli pemateri 84,25% atau sangat layak digunakan .dan hasil penilaian oleh guru menunjukkan media pembelajaran ini sangatlayak sebagai media pembelajaran biologi .Siswa juga memberikan respon sangat baik terhadap media video pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran Biologi dengan materi pernapasan,dan setelah menerapkan media ini hasil belajar siswa meningkat dan semangat belajarnya juga meningkat dan siswa lebih mudah memahami materiyang telah diajarkan.

Abstract

The research that has been done is entitled “Development of ELKPD Based on Discovery Learning on the material structure and function of plant tissue in class XI Madrasah Aliyah”. This study aims to develop teaching materials in the from of ELKPD Based on Discovery Learning on the material structure and function of plant tissue in class XI Madrasah Aliyah which are valid, practical and effective. This study used the R&D research method with a 4D models (define, design, develop, disseminate). The test subjects in this study were class XI students of MAS Al-Ittihad Aek Nabara. The results of the media expert validation test obtained a percentage of 92% in the very feasible category and the results of the material validation test obtained a percentage of 96% in the very feasible category. The results of the practicality test assessment of the teacher’s response obtained a percentage of 89% in the very feasible category and the results of the practicality test assessment of students obtained a percentage of 99% in the very feasible category. The results of the assessment of the effectiveness test obtained an average percentage of 0,68 in the medium category. Based on the results of testing the validity, practicality and effectiveness of the product, it can be concluded that, ELKPD based on discovery learning on the material structure and function of plants tissue in class XI madrasah aliyah which is developed is feasible to be used as additional teaching material for students in the process of learning biology.

Abstract

This study aims to develop instructional media in the form of guided inquiry-based LKPD on excretion system material to test the feasibility, practicality and determine the effectiveness of LKPD. This research used R&D research methods with the Borg & Gall development model (research and information collecting, planning, develop preliminary form of product, preliminary field testing, main product revision, main field testing and operational product). The test subjects in this study were students of class XI SMA Negeri 1 Brandan Barat. The media expert validation results obtained an average percentage of 92.5% with a very decent category. The results of the material expert validation obtained an average percentage of 93.75% with a very decent category. The results of the teacher’s response assessment obtained an average percentage of 91% in the very practical category. The results of the assessment of student responses in the limited scale trials obtained an average percentage of 80.99% in the very practical category and in the large scale trials and average percentage of 83.99% was obtained in the very practical category. Based on the results of the feasibility, practicality and product effectiveness tests, the guided inquiry-based LKPD on excretion system material develop is feasible, practical and effective for improving students critical thinking skills. Abstract

The word learning is not far from a word, namely evaluation, along with the development of the times, and with the sophistication of existing technology, various kinds of media have emerged in the application of learning. E-Learning is the answer to all the sophistication that exists at this time. Where learning methods using technology are currently needed because of advances in technology in each place of learning, whether it's a school or college. This study uses the Research and Development method. The purpose of this study is to determine the development of E-Learning media-based learning. The results of the data that the researcher will obtain are the responses of Tadris Biology Students Semester 3 VI UINSU.
