Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Reading, Identifying the problem, Constructing the solution, Solving the problem, Reviewing, and Extending the problem-solving (RICOSRE) learning model on students' problem-solving abilities on virus material. This study is quasi-experimental with a pretest-posttest nonequivalent control group design. The population of the study was all grade X students at SMAN 2 Purbalingga. The sample consisted of 72 students determined by cluster random sampling technique, each with 36 students from class XE as the experimental class and class XD as the control class. Data collection techniques used tests and observations. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, N-Gain, and Mann-Whitney U tests. The results showed that the RICOSRE learning model significantly affected students' problem-solving abilities on virus material of 0.049

Abstract

This research examines the digital literacy skills of teachers in Finnish education using a dataset of 4,988 teachers from 2017 to 2019. The dataset includes variables such as gender, age, level of urbanization, self-efficacy, professional development, digital engagement, and information skills. Teachers were categorized based on their digital competence. The study uses Unsupervised C-Mediums (UPFCM) clustering to analyze teachers' online experiences and identify distinct groups. Descriptive statistics and correlation analyses reveal relationships between key variables, suggesting that self-efficacy, teaching relevance, and digital engagement significantly influence teachers' digital literacy. The results indicate different digital competence profiles, providing insights into professional development needs. The study highlights the importance of personalized learning programs to enhance digital competence and bridge skill gaps. Using an advanced clustering approach, this study contributes to understanding teachers' digital skills. Provides a foundation for data-driven educational advancements aimed at increasing digital literacy in the teaching profession.

Abstract

Program pendidikan profesi guru, khususnya dalam konteks pendidikan matematika, masih menjadi sorotan yang menarik dalam dunia pendidikan. Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menjelajahi lebih mendalam aspek tersebut dengan fokus pada pemetaan tren penelitian, kolaborasi ilmiah, dan tema-tema utama dalam publikasi terkait pengembangan profesi guru matematika. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendapatkan wawasan mengenai data publikasi ilmiah terkait Program Pengembangan Profesi Guru dalam Pembelajaran Matematika, termasuk trennya dalam kurun waktu sepuluh tahun terakhir, disertai dengan visualisasi network, overlay, dan density, serta interpretasi dari ketiga visualisasi tersebut. Analisis bibliometrik menggunakan perangkat lunak VOS Viewer dilakukan terhadap penelitian yang telah dipublikasikan di jurnal yang terindeks Scopus di berbagai belahan dunia. Penelitian ini merupakan jenis literatur review dengan fokus pemetaan. Sebanyak 1.080 artikel dikumpulkan dari basis data Scopus dalam rentang waktu 2013-2023 dengan topik yang berkaitan dengan program pendidikan profesi guru matematika. Hasilnya menunjukkan bahwa tema yang paling sering diangkat dalam pemetaan penelitian adalah pengembangan profesi dan keterkaitannya dengan perkembangan profesi guru, pendidikan guru, dan pengembangan pendidikan guru berkelanjutan. Sebaliknya, aspek pengembangan pendidikan, pengetahuan konten pedagogik, dan pengembangan pendidikan berkelanjutan masih jarang dibahas, dan penelitian di masa depan disarankan untuk lebih memfokuskan pada tema-tema tersebut

Abstract

This study was to analyze the impact of innovative learning on student learning achievement in Mathematics and Natural Sciences from 2014 until 2021. The data collection method used in this study is a meta-analysis, where the researchers would search related articles through Google Cendekia (Google Scholars) and ScienceDirect. This research obtained 227 articles. All selected articles cover the research conducted in schools, from elementary to high school level. These articles will be analyzed in several steps: (1) determining research domains that will be summarized; (2) selecting the types of collected publications; (3) collecting results of studies or literature; (4) listing research data; (5) calculating the effect size of each source or study. After passing this five-step process, 21 articles that discussed how innovative learning in mathematics and natural sciences affects student achievement were selected. These articles will be analyzed using the JAMOVI application. The results found an average difference, ranging from -0.99 to 3.10. Abstract

This study aims to identify various challenges encountered in implementing STEM education, as well as to describe the problems faced by several countries in implementing STEM education. To achieve the objectives of this study, the researcher conducted a literature review related to STEM education and learning, especially by conducting a Systematic Literature Review (SRL) study. This article is an SLR conducted by accessing the Scopus and Google Scholar databases as sources of information. Scopus and Google Scholar database exploration by entering the keywords "challenge" + "STEM education". The search results were exported in *CSV format (to facilitate the simulation process) and *RIS for synchronization with Mendeley. The selected articles are in the 2017-2024 period. The results of the study indicate that the challenges faced are mostly intrinsic challenges, namely the difficulty of teachers in managing learning time, as well as the lack of teachers in the STEM field who have adequate certification. Other problems were also encountered, such as the unavailability of supporting facilities for STEM education, and the lack of support from education administrators and stakeholders, which are challenges that must be considered in realizing STEM education.

Abstract

Problem solving ability (PSA) is one of the skills that is the focus of the 21st century, besides that scientific attitudes and learning outcomes are also important components that must be possessed by students. This research aims to determine the effect of problem based learing (PBL) with question cards on environmental pollution on PSA, scientific attitudes, and student learning outcomes. The type of research used a quasi-experimental study using a nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Sampling used a cluster random sampling technique. Data collection used PSA description questions, scientific attitude questionnaires, and multiple-choice test to measure the learning outcomes. Data analysis techniques used descriptive analysis, multivariate analysis of variance (Manova) test, and N-gain test. The average results of students in the experimental class were higher than those in the control class. The multivariate analysis of variance test results obtained a Sig. 0.000, and the N-gain test result in the experimental class obtained moderate criteria. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan media pembelajaran Flipped book berbasis Augmented Reality (AR) pada materi sistem pertahanan tubuh di SMA. Latar belakang penelitian ini adalah rendahnya motivasi belajar dan kemampuan berpikir tingkat tinggi (HOTS) peserta didik akibat pembelajaran yang masih didominasi metode konvensional serta keterbatasan media pembelajaran yang inovatif. Penelitian ini merupakan research and development (R&D) dengan model 4D (Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate). Subjek penelitian terdiri dari dua dosen ahli (media dan materi), empat guru biologi sebagai penilai kepraktisan, dan peserta didik kelas XI untuk uji coba terbatas. Instrumen penelitian berupa lembar validasi dan angket kepraktisan. Data dianalisis secara deskriptif kuantitatif menggunakan persentase kelayakan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Flipped Book berbasis AR memperoleh skor rata-rata validasi media 90,34%, E-LKPD 94,31%, modul ajar dan ATP 96,42%, serta materi 96,87% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil uji kepraktisan oleh guru biologi mencapai 98,75% dengan kategori sangat praktis. Dengan demikian, Flipped Book berbasis AR dinyatakan layak dan praktis digunakan dalam pembelajaran biologi khususnya pada materi sistem pertahanan tubuh.

Abstract

Implementing formative assessment (FA) in physics learning has been widely acknowledged as an effective strategy for enhancing learning process and student performance. Unfortunately, there was a dearth of thorough research on formative assessment in high school physics learning, including publication opportunities, physics topics evaluated by prior studies, and forms of formative assessment investigated by prior studies. This review mapped studies on formative assessment in physics subjects in the high school context. The research method used was a systematic review by analyzing relevant research results from the Scopus databases that published over the past decade (from 2014 to 2023). A total of 17 articles were examined in this study. This study found that Q1 ranked journals were where the most articles with FA topics in high school physics subjects were published. Mechanics was the most common physics topic investigated by previous research. Technology-based formative assessment was the most common form of FA used by previous studies. The results of this review may benefit researchers, school leaders, and policy makers when they aspire to do research or facilitate the implementation of formative assessment in physics class.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of the STEM approach (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) in Indonesia, particularly in high schools, through a systematic literature review. STEM is recognized as an innovative learning method that integrates various disciplines to enhance 21st-century skills, such as critical thinking, problem-solving, and student creativity. The analysis reveals that the implementation of STEM positively impacts student outcomes, interest, and motivation, especially in project-based and technology-driven learning. However, several challenges persist, including limited facilities, insufficient teacher training, and unequal access to technology in certain regions. To ensure the sustainability of STEM implementation, strategies should include the development of a flexible curriculum, intensive training for teachers, and collaboration with industry and private sectors. This study underscores that, with proper management, STEM-based learning holds significant potential to improve the quality of education in Indonesia, particularly at the high school level, and to prepare students for the challenges of the modern era. Abstract

Objective: This study aims to compare students' mathematical communication skills using Contextual Teaching and Learning (CTL) and Problem Based Learning (PBL) in class VII students of MTs Al-Ittihadiyah Medan. Method: This research is quantitative research, with quasi-experimental. The population numbered 178 students, the sampling technique used in this study is simple random sampling, with a total sample in this study of 54 students with details of 26 students using the CTL model and 28 students using the PBL model. This study does not use a control model class to streamline time. The data analysis used in this study is the t-test. The instrument used in this study was a math essay test consisting of ten questions with details of 5 pre-test questions and the remaining post-test questions which have been adapted to the students' mathematical communication indicators, namely presenting and visualizing mathematical problems in pictures and interpreting pictures, and presenting them in mathematical ideas (drawing), explain/write mathematical problems in written form using mathematical rules, be able to read and interpret data into mathematical models or in other words express mathematical ideas (mathematical expression). Finding: This study showed that the students' mathematical communication skills using the PBL model were significantly more effective than the CTL model.
