Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui bagaimana mengembangkan kapasitas manajemen sekolah untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. Penelitian dilakukan dengan menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif melalui studi kasus pada dua sekolah dasar. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa kapasitas manajemen sekolah yang baik berdampak positif pada mutu pendidikan. Kapasitas ini dikembangkan melalui komunitas belajar yang ada di sekolah. Fokus utama komunitas ini adalah keteladanan kepemimpinan, pembelajaran bersama antar pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan dalam proses manajemen, serta pengembangan kreativitas dalam memecahkan masalah. Selain itu, penyediaan lingkungan kerja yang sehat juga merupakan faktor penting keberhasilan komunitas belajar. Peneliti merekomendasikan beberapa hal bagi sekolah: 1) melibatkan berbagai pihak untuk menilai menilai keberhasilan sekolah; 2) memanajemen informasi kepada semua pihak terkait; 3) memberikan solusi bagi pihak yang mengalami kesulitan dalam menjalanjan tugas pokok dan fungsinya; 4) mengokohkan komunitas belajar sebagai sebuah keluarga; 5) melakukan refleksi keterlibatan masing-masing pendidik dan tenaga kependidikan; 6) memaksimalkan kegiatan dialog, refleksi, dan evaluasi; dan 7) menciptakan suasana sekolah yang nyaman bagi semua pihak.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to examine the implementation of financial management functions in schools and their impact on improving the quality of education. Financial management in schools includes planning, organizing, implementing, and monitoring financial activities that are key to overcoming the challenges of limited resources. This study uses a qualitative approach with in-depth interview methods and document analysis in several educational institutions. The findings show that effective financial management contributes significantly to improving the quality of education. Transparent and accountable implementation in fund management not only improves educational facilities but also supports the professional development of educators. This study provides recommendations for school administrators to implement better financial management strategies to achieve higher education goals. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji implementasi fungsi manajemen keuangan di sekolah dan dampaknya terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Manajemen keuangan di sekolah mencakup perencanaan, pengorganisasian, pelaksanaan, dan pengawasan aktivitas keuangan yang menjadi kunci untuk mengatasi tantangan sumber daya yang terbatas. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode wawancara mendalam dan analisis dokumen di beberapa institusi pendidikan. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa manajemen keuangan yang efektif berkontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan kualitas pendidikan. Implementasi yang transparan dan akuntabel dalam pengelolaan dana tidak hanya meningkatkan fasilitas pendidikan, tetapi juga mendukung pengembangan profesional pendidik. Penelitian ini memberikan rekomendasi bagi pengelola sekolah untuk menerapkan strategi manajemen keuangan yang lebih baik guna mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih tinggi.

Abstract

Abstract This study explores the implementation of Data-Based Planning (PBD) in drafting the School Activity and Budget Plan (RKAS) at SDN Klepu 02 as an effort to improve the quality of education. PBD is an evidence-based approach that leverages data from the Education Report platform to identify problems, analyze root causes, and formulate solutions through the Identify, Reflect, and Improve (IRB) stages. This research employed a qualitative descriptive method with data collected through interviews, observations, and document analysis. The findings reveal that the implementation of PBD has significantly impacted the quality of education at SDN Klepu 02. Key priority programs include intensive training to enhance teachers' competence in literacy-based learning, procurement of supporting facilities such as books and interactive learning media, and routine student literacy programs. These initiatives successfully improved student literacy by 20% within a year, enhanced teacher competencies, and made budget management more targeted and efficient. However, the implementation process faced challenges, including low data literacy among educators and limited internet access, which hindered optimal use of the Education Report platform. These challenges were addressed through collaboration among school principals, teachers, school committees, and training support from the Education Office. This study concludes that PBD is an effective strategy for improving education quality through a systematic, transparent, and accountable approach. The successful implementation of PBD at SDN Klepu 02 can serve as a model for other educational institutions in designing and implementing data-driven programs to achieve better educational outcomes. Abstrak Penelitian ini mengeksplorasi implementasi Perencanaan Berbasis Data (PBD) dalam penyusunan Rencana Kegiatan dan Anggaran Sekolah (RKAS) di SDN Klepu 02 sebagai upaya meningkatkan mutu pendidikan. PBD adalah pendekatan berbasis bukti yang memanfaatkan data dari platform Rapor Pendidikan untuk mengidentifikasi masalah, menganalisis akar permasalahan, dan merumuskan solusi melalui tahapan Identifikasi, Refleksi, dan Benahi (IRB). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan pengumpulan data melalui wawancara, observasi, dan analisis dokumen. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi PBD memberikan dampak signifikan terhadap peningkatan mutu pendidikan di SDN Klepu 02. Beberapa program prioritas yang dihasilkan meliputi pelatihan intensif untuk meningkatkan kompetensi guru dalam pembelajaran berbasis literasi, pengadaan fasilitas pendukung seperti buku dan media pembelajaran interaktif, serta program literasi siswa yang rutin dilakukan. Penerapan program-program tersebut berhasil meningkatkan literasi siswa sebesar 20% dalam satu tahun, meningkatkan kompetensi guru, dan membuat pengelolaan anggaran lebih terarah dan efisien. Namun, proses implementasi menghadapi beberapa kendala, termasuk rendahnya literasi data di kalangan pendidik dan keterbatasan akses internet yang menghambat optimalisasi pemanfaatan Rapor Pendidikan. Kendala ini diatasi melalui kolaborasi antara kepala sekolah, guru, komite sekolah, dan dukungan pelatihan dari Dinas Pendidikan. Penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa PBD merupakan strategi efektif dalam meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan melalui pendekatan yang sistematis, transparan, dan akuntabel. Keberhasilan implementasi PBD di SDN Klepu 02 dapat menjadi model bagi satuan pendidikan lainnya dalam merancang dan melaksanakan program berbasis data untuk mencapai tujuan pendidikan yang lebih baik.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah, komitmen organisasi, dan komunikasi efektif terhadap kepuasan kerja guru di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK) Se-Kecamatan Kedungwuni, Kabupaten Pekalongan. Latar belakang penelitian ini berfokus pada pentingnya tiga faktor tersebut dalam menciptakan lingkungan kerja yang kondusif bagi peningkatan kinerja dan kepuasan guru. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode explanatory research. Sampel yang digunakan terdiri dari 82 guru dengan teknik sampel jenuh. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komitmen organisasi, komunikasi efektif, dan kepuasan kerja guru berada dalam kategori "cukup", sedangkan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah berada dalam kategori "baik". Berdasarkan analisis regresi linier berganda, secara parsial, gaya kepemimpinan berkontribusi sebesar 75,9%, komitmen organisasi 74,4%, dan komunikasi efektif 77,1% terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. Secara simultan, ketiga faktor tersebut memberikan kontribusi sebesar 84,1% terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. Kategori "cukup" pada komitmen organisasi dan komunikasi efektif mengindikasikan perlunya peningkatan dalam pengelolaan kedua faktor ini. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar sekolah memperbaiki pengelolaan tugas sesuai kewenangan dan tanggung jawab guru, serta memperkuat pembinaan, pengawasan, dan evaluasi untuk menginternalisasi nilai-nilai dan etika kerja yang tinggi. Selain itu, penting untuk membangun komunikasi yang lebih efektif antara pihak sekolah dan guru, serta memberikan penghargaan yang sesuai dengan kompetensi guru, termasuk insentif di luar gaji. Implikasi dari penelitian ini menyoroti pentingnya penerapan peraturan dan tata tertib sekolah yang lebih baik, serta penerapan nilai-nilai dan norma yang mendukung terciptanya lingkungan kerja yang lebih positif dan mendukung kepuasan kerja guru.

Abstract

This study explores the influence of school principals' instructional leadership on teacher performance and student learning outcomes at SD Negeri Gilis, Sarang District, Rembang Regency. The approach used in this research is descriptive qualitative, with data collection techniques including interviews, observations, and document studies. The results show that implementing the principal's instructional leadership plays a crucial role in improving the quality of lesson planning carried out by teachers. Although initially there were challenges related to the misalignment in the lesson plan preparation by most teachers, the principal's strategies, which included enhancing the quality of lesson planning, need-based academic supervision, and empowering teachers through the Teacher Working Group (KKG), successfully addressed these issues. After three months of implementation, 90% of teachers could prepare lesson plans aligned with the Merdeka Curriculum, and teacher involvement in KKG discussions significantly increased. Furthermore, time management and teaching methods in the classroom also showed improvements. This study concludes that well-planned instructional leadership by the principal, based on teacher professional development, can enhance the quality of teaching and positively impact student learning outcomes. Recommendations for further development include improving the principal's competence in academic supervision and utilizing technology in teaching.

Abstract

This research examines the implementation of the School-Friendly Child (SFC) policy at SD Negeri Sambiroto, a primary school in Rembang, Indonesia. The study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of the SFC policy, focusing on its key components, including child protection, inclusive education, and fostering a positive learning environment. The research employs a qualitative case study approach, using interviews, observations, and document analysis as data collection methods. The findings reveal that while the school has made substantial progress in applying the policy, there are significant challenges regarding resource limitations, teacher preparedness, and resistance to change. The school has tried to engage parents and the local community, which is crucial in ensuring the policy’s success. Key factors for successful implementation include strong leadership, ongoing teacher training, and effective communication among stakeholders. The study also highlights the importance of continuously evaluating and adapting the policy to address emerging challenges. This research provides insights into the practical aspects of implementing child-friendly policies in schools and offers recommendations for improving the quality of education and school management.

Abstract

This study examines the role of the Indonesian Teachers Association (PGRI) in protecting the professional rights of teachers involved in professional disputes at SD Negeri 2 Dadapan, Rembang Regency. The research was conducted using a qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings revealed that teachers at SD Negeri 2 Dadapan often face professional disputes, including conflicts with school principals, unilateral termination of employment, accusations of ethical violations without sufficient evidence, and criminalisation of teachers for disciplining students. The PGRI plays a significant role in providing legal assistance and advocacy, offering mediation services, and helping to resolve disputes through legal means. However, despite the efforts, challenges persist in implementing legal protections for teachers, mainly due to limited resources and a lack of coordination between PGRI and other related parties. This study highlights the importance of PGRI safeguarding teachers' professional rights. It suggests improvements in the organisation's capacity, mediation strategies, and coordination with government agencies for more effective protection of teachers' rights.

Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of instructional leadership and school culture on school performance in public senior high schools in Rembang Regency. Using a quantitative approach with a survey method, data were collected through questionnaires distributed to teachers and analyzed with multiple regression. The results show that instructional leadership contributes 12.3% and school culture 17.8% to school performance. Together, both variables explain 30.3% of the variability, with the remaining 69.7% influenced by other factors. Effective instructional leadership, characterized by a clear academic vision, supervision, and teacher empowerment, improves learning quality. A strong school culture, based on collaboration, discipline, and innovation, boosts teacher motivation and student achievement. The study confirms the crucial role of leadership and culture in educational success, emphasizing the need for principal leadership competencies and a positive school culture. Abstract

Background: The Card Sort method, a student-centered active learning strategy, has been widely studied for its effectiveness in improving understanding and retention of information. This study investigates the impact of the Card Sort method on the learning outcomes of Fiqh students at MI Ma’arif NU 02 Bantarbarang Purbalingga. The research aims to determine whether the implementation of this method results in significant improvements compared to traditional teaching approaches. Methods: This research employs a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design, specifically the Nonequivalent Control Group Pretest-Posttest Design. The study population consists of all sixth-grade students, with a purposive sampling technique selecting Class VI A as the experimental group and Class VI B as the control group. Data were collected through questionnaires and tests, and analyzed using simple linear regression and the Independent Sample T-Test in SPSS version 23. Findings: The results indicate that the Card Sort method significantly influences students’ Fiqh learning outcomes. The experimental group, which used the Card Sort method, achieved an average final test score of 79.40, while the control group, which relied on conventional methods, scored 75.40. Statistical tests show a p-value of 0.000 (< 0.05), confirming the significant effect of the Card Sort method. Additionally, the T-Test results (t = 8.448 > 2.010) further support the rejection of the null hypothesis (H0), proving that the method enhances student learning outcomes. Conclusions: The study concludes that the Card Sort method effectively improves student learning outcomes compared to conventional methods in Fiqh education. Students in the experimental group demonstrated higher engagement, better understanding, and improved test performance. To further optimize learning outcomes, students should be encouraged to actively participate in class activities, while teachers should implement creative teaching strategies and diverse instructional media. Novelty/Originality of this Article: This study contributes to the field of active learning strategies in religious education, specifically in Fiqh learning, which has been less explored in previous studies.

Abstract

This study explores the management practices at SMK Migas Cepu as a Vocational School Center of Excellence (SMK-PK), focusing on the four key management functions: planning, organizing, implementing, and controlling. The research highlights the role of participatory planning, which involves collaboration with both internal and external stakeholders, including industry partners, in developing the curriculum and other educational strategies. Organizing at SMK Migas Cepu follows a systematic approach, with clear divisions of responsibilities and coordination among teachers, staff, and industry partners. The implementation of the SMK-PK program includes project-based learning, industrial internships, guest lectures from industry professionals, and certifications, all aimed at aligning the curriculum with industry needs and improving the employability of students. The controlling function ensures quality management through regular monitoring and evaluation of processes. The findings suggest that the school’s effective management practices have significantly contributed to its success as an SMK-PK, although challenges remain in areas such as data-driven monitoring, continuous teacher training, and optimizing partnerships with industry. The study concludes with recommendations to further enhance the program’s sustainability and improve the competitiveness of its graduates
