Abstract

New developments in information technology have paved the way for innovative possibilities in education management, particularly when it comes to overseeing and enhancing education quality at the Elementary School (SD) and Middle School (SMP/SMA) levels. In Indonesia, the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology has initiated the Education Report Platform, which features detailed data for each educational institution. This article discusses the concepts of education profile, education report, and education report platform, and how all three can be utilized in the planning and decision-making process to improve the quality of education at the elementary and secondary levels.

Abstract

There is a new paradigm and a curriculum that is constantly changing with technological developments, the role of teachers is required to follow these developments. One of the government's efforts in realizing educators who have competence to achieve national education goals is the Program Pendidikan Guru Penggerak (PPGP). Through PPGP, many teacher mover (guru penggerak) throughout Indonesia are graduated who are ready to enter schools and are expected to have a significant impact on schools and the education ecosystem. This study aims to identify the role of teacher mover as teacher leadership in improving the quality of schools at the state elementary school Ulujami District, Pemalang Regency. This study uses qualitative research with a descriptive approach. Data collected from a combination of literature studies, observations, and interviews were systematically analyzed to identify the role of teacher leaders as Teacher Leadership in improving school quality. The results of the study show that the role of teacher mover has an important contribution to teacher leadership in State Elementary Schools in Ulujami District, Pemalang Regency. The role of teacher mover includes being a learning leader, being a coach for others, encouraging collaboration, realizing student leadership, and mobilizing the community of practitioners. The advice given by the author to the teacher mover is to always actively carry out self- development, increase cooperation with various parties, collaborate with school residents and the community of teacher mover, and maintain self- motivation to become teacher leadership.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the internal and external efficiency of educational institutions through the Value for Money approach at SDN Jombor, Jumo District, Temanggung Regency. Value for money serves as a performance evaluation model that focuses on three leading indicators: economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in managing educational resources. This research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing a case study method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed descriptively. The findings indicate that the school has attempted to implement the principles of economy in budget management, efficiency in the use of human and material resources, and effectiveness in achieving educational objectives. However, several challenges remain, such as the lack of teacher training and limited internal supervision. The novelty of this study lies in its application of the Value for Money framework within the context of public primary schools, a context that is still rarely explored empirically. This research makes a theoretical contribution to the development of value-based evaluation models in educational management and a practical contribution to formulating policies that enhance transparency, accountability, and the quality of education services at the elementary school level.

Abstract

The rapid development of information technology requires teachers to possess adequate digital literacy competencies to support their professional performance in the learning process. This study aims to analyze the effect of digital literacy on the professionalism of public elementary school teachers in Purwodadi District. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. The population consisted of public elementary school teachers in Purwodadi District, with 220 teachers selected as respondents. Data were collected through a validated and reliable questionnaire and analyzed using simple linear regression. The findings reveal that digital literacy has a positive and significant effect on teacher professionalism. This indicates that the higher the teachers’ ability to access, understand, evaluate, and utilize digital technology, the higher their level of professionalism in planning, implementing, and evaluating learning activities. The study confirms that digital literacy is a strategic factor in strengthening teacher professionalism in the era of educational transformation. Therefore, sustainable digital competency development programs are essential to improve the quality of elementary education. Abstrak Perkembangan teknologi informasi yang pesat mengharuskan guru memiliki kompetensi literasi digital yang memadai untuk mendukung kinerja profesional mereka dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh literasi digital terhadap profesionalisme guru sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Purwodadi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode survei. Populasi penelitian terdiri dari guru sekolah dasar negeri di Kabupaten Purwodadi, dengan 220 guru dipilih sebagai responden. Data dikumpulkan melalui kuesioner yang telah tervalidasi dan terpercaya, dan dianalisis menggunakan regresi linier sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa literasi digital memiliki pengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap profesionalisme guru. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa semakin tinggi kemampuan guru dalam mengakses, memahami, mengevaluasi, dan memanfaatkan teknologi digital, semakin tinggi pula tingkat profesionalisme mereka dalam merencanakan, melaksanakan, dan mengevaluasi kegiatan pembelajaran. Penelitian ini menegaskan bahwa literasi digital merupakan faktor strategis dalam memperkuat profesionalisme guru di era transformasi pendidikan. Oleh karena itu, program pengembangan kompetensi digital yang berkelanjutan sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas pendidikan dasar.

Abstract

This study examines the management of SIKUAD (Academic Information System) in improving school performance at SMK Negeri 2 Purwodadi. The study is grounded in the premise that the effectiveness of an academic information system depends not only on technological features but also on the quality of managerial processes supporting its implementation. This research aims to analyze the management of SIKUAD based on four management functions, planning, organizing, actuating, and controlling, and to identify its direct implications for school performance improvement. A qualitative case study design was employed. The research was conducted from December to February and involved one principal, one vice principal for curriculum, two system operators, five teachers, and three students selected purposively. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, participatory observation, and documentation, and analyzed using interactive data analysis supported by triangulation and member checking. The findings indicate that systematic planning through needs analysis and policy formulation ensured initial readiness and minimized administrative errors. Clear organizational structuring facilitated coordination between management, operators, and teachers. The consistent implementation of the system significantly accelerated grade processing, reduced reporting delays, improved real-time monitoring of learning activities, and decreased administrative complaints. Continuous monitoring and evaluation strengthened teacher discipline, data accuracy, and institutional accountability. The study concludes that well-managed SIKUAD contributes directly to administrative efficiency, transparency, and overall school performance improvement.

Abstract

The context of this research is the Role of the School Committee in Improving the Quality of Education at SDN Sidamulya 02, Wanasari District, Brebes Regency. The school committee has a role as an advisory, supporting, and controlling body. The School Committee of SDN Sidamulya 02 plays an active role as an advisor, supporter and controller in improving the quality of education at SDN Sidamulya 02, Wanasari District, Brebes Regency. This study aims to describe the role of the school committee in improving the quality of education at SDN Sidamulya 02.The method used in this study is a qualitative method, with a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this study through interviews, observations and documentation. Interviews were conducted with the principal, head of the school committee, teachers and parents. Data analysis used through three steps, namely data reduction, data presentation and drawing conclusions. The results of the study indicate that the role of the school committee at SD Negeri Sidamulya 02 in improving the quality of education includes sub-focus 1) the role of the committee as a provider of consideration in improving the quality of education has provided consideration in the preparation of the school's vision, mission and goals, preparation of RKS, creation of mini class programs, consideration in school management and development such as extracurricular, class competitions, parent associations, and others. 2) The role of the school committee as a supporter in improving the quality of education that the SD Negeri Sidamulya 02 committee in its role has provided support to the school both financially, manpower, ideas, thoughts and the need to fulfill other school facilities and infrastructure. The school committee also actively participates in class development activities, participation in mentoring competition activities, and provision of other class cleaning facilities. 3) The role of the school committee as a controller in improving the quality of education that the SD Negeri Sidamulya 02 committee has not carried out direct control of the implementation of learning in the classroom and assessed the performance of individual schools such as the principal and teachers, but the committee only carries out supervision and evaluation through communication and discussion activities with the school community. The suggestion of this research is that the committee is expected to be able to improve the shortcomings of the committee, especially in its role as a controller, namely the committee can carry out direct control in the implementation of learning in the classroom even though it is only limited to the interests of controlling the eligibility of teachers in implementing learning in the classroom.

Abstract

Improving the quality of educational services in schools is highly dependent on effective leadership practices implemented by the school principal. This study aimed to analyze the principal’s leadership strategies in improving the quality of educational services at SDN 2 Tuksari. The research employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design to obtain an in-depth understanding of leadership practices implemented by the principal in enhancing school service quality. The study was conducted at SDN 2 Tuksari, involving the principal, teachers, educational staff, school committee members, and parents as research subjects. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The validity of the data was ensured through source triangulation and technique triangulation, while data analysis used the interactive model of Miles, Huberman, and Saldaña, consisting of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings revealed that the principal implemented several leadership strategies to improve the quality of educational services, including strengthening teacher discipline and performance, conducting academic supervision, developing positive school culture, enhancing communication and collaboration, and optimizing educational services. These strategies positively impacted teacher professionalism, learning quality, school climate, stakeholder participation, and educational service effectiveness. The study concludes that effective principal leadership plays a significant role in improving the quality of educational services in elementary schools.

Abstract

The principles of transparency and accountability can be implemented by fulfilling the principles of propriety and good governance by education providers. The objectives of this research are 1) to determine and analyze the application of the principles of transparency and accountability in education financing. 2) to determine and analyze the effectiveness of the application of the principles of transparency and accountability in financing education at SMA N Kendal Regency. Researchers use mixed methods research, namely a combination of qualitative and quantitative methods. In data collection techniques, researchers used interview techniques with informants, distributing questionnaires and documentation. To analyze quantitative data, multiple regression is used as a data analysis technique with the F test and t test. The results of the research are 1) the school principal designs a budget that is aligned with operational needs and programs. Make financial accountability reports and reports available on the school information board. The implementation of accountability in education financing is aligned using accountability indicators, which are displayed with evidence of documentation of the budget results for each activity and the preparation of financial reports for monthly, annual periods, and are accountable to the relevant agencies. 2) Effectiveness of Implementing the Principles of Transparency and Accountability in Education Financing at SMA N Kendal Regency. The results of multiple regression analysis show the equation Ŷ = 24.532 + 0.610 X1 + 0.456 X2. The effectiveness of transparency and accountability in financing Kendal District High School education is 75.9%.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1). Untuk mengetahui peluang dan tantangan perencanaan berbasis data dengan memanfaatkan rapor pendidikan. 2) untuk mengetahui peluang dan tantangan perencanaan berbasis data dengan memanfaatkan rapor pendidikan di SDN Kabupaten Kendal. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi kegiatan, wawancara dan penelusuran dokumen keuangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Analisis data dengan tiga langkah: reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu 1) tantangan perencanaan manajemen berbasis data adalah peran manusia yang semakin banyak digantikan oleh teknologi, Kemudian penyusunan perencanaan dengan menggunakan sistem dan aplikasi yang tidak bisa di rubah dan harus sesuai dengan indikator. Peluang, sekolah lebih di mudahkan dalam penyusunan anggaran disebabkan sudah ada sistem dalam penyusunan anggaran. 2) hambatan yang dihadapi dalam perencanaan pendidikan yaitu kurang memahami indikator dalam laporan mutu, kurang kompeten dalam menganalisis akar masalah, solusi perbaikan parsial. Kemudian kegiatan perencanaan belum dilakukan secara optimal namun sudah ada pergantian pimpinan memerlukan proses adaptasi.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Untuk mengetahui strategi pemenuhan sumber dan pengalokasian pembiayaan pendidikan. 2) untuk mengetahui hambatan strategi pemenuhan sumber dan pengalokasian pembiayaan pendidikan di SMAN 1 Godong, SMAN 1 Karangrayung dan SMAN 2 Kudus. Jenis penelitian ini yaitu kualitatif. Pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini berupa observasi kegiatan, wawancara dan penelusuran dokumen keuangan. Penelitian ini menggunakan triangulasi sumber dan metode. Analisis data dengan tiga langkah: reduksi data, menyajikan data, dan menarik simpulan. Hasil penelitian yaitu1) strategi yang dilakukan kepala sekolah sudah baik dengan melakukan a) perencanaan dengan menetapkan tujuan utama, merumuskan analisis internal dan eksternal, mengidentifikasi kemudahan dan hambatan, serta mengembangkan rencana yang bersumber dari biaya operasional satuan pendidikan dan bantuan opersasional pendidikan yang diwujudkan dalam rapat pendanaan dengan menentukan rencana keuangan anggran sekolah yang disepakati, serta menetapkan hasil rapat, dokumetasi dan sosialisasi hasil. b) proses pelaksanaan strategi pembiayaan dilakukan dengan penerimaan pembiayaan dan proses pengeluaran dana dengan memperhatikan keperluan sekolah, dan skala prioritas/urgensi. c) evaluasi strategi dilakukan dengan meninjau ulang faktor internal dan juga faktor eksternal. Kemudian menilai dari kinerja strategi dan melakukan langkah koreksi serta melakukan pelaporan dan pertanggungjawaban 2) Hambatan yang di temui yaitu sumber dana hanya berasal dari biaya operasional satuan pendidikan dan bantuan opersasional. pendidikan yang belum dapat mencapai standar PMU (Pendidikan Menengah Universal). Kemudian sekolah tidak diperbolehkan meminta bantuan kepada komite sekolah terkait pembiayaan sekolah.
