Abstract

This study explores the role of ethical leadership, value development, and character-based learning in the character development of santri (students) in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren). Using a qualitative research design, this study seeks to develop a comprehensive model that integrates these elements, mediated by students' personal experiences, to enhance moral and ethical growth. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, focus group discussions, and participant observation across three pesantren in Indonesia, involving a total of 30-40 participants, including santri and educators. Thematic analysis revealed that ethical leadership significantly influences students' behavior and moral decision-making, while value development fosters internalization of core ethical principles such as integrity, social responsibility, and empathy. Furthermore, character-based learning—embedded in daily practices, religious rituals, and communal activities—plays a crucial role in developing self-discipline and ethical behavior. Students' personal experiences, shaped by mentorship and community interactions, mediate these processes, further enhancing character formation. The study proposes a holistic model for character development in pesantren, emphasizing the interconnectedness of leadership, value development, and experiential learning. The findings offer theoretical, practical, and managerial implications for improving character education in Islamic educational settings, contributing to the global discourse on moral formation in educational contexts.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the effect of recruitment and e-government implementation on organizational performance in higher education institutions, with religiosity as a mediating variable. Amidst the dynamics of higher education institutions in Indonesia that face challenges to improve performance, this study uses a quantitative approach with data analysis through SmartPLS 4.0, based on an online survey of 1045 respondents selected by stratified random sampling. The findings show that transparent and competency-based recruitment, as well as the implementation of e-government, have a direct significant influence on improving organizational performance. In addition, religiosity is proven to function as a mediator that strengthens the relationship between recruitment and e-government on organizational performance. The results of this study indicate that the development of effective recruitment practices and the implementation of e-government can not only contribute directly to performance, but also indirectly through increased religiosity that extols the values of integrity, responsibility, and work ethics. The findings make theoretical contributions to the human resource management literature and excellent practices in the context of higher education, as well as offer practical recommendations for managers of educational institutions to integrate religious values in their management strategies.

Abstract

English teaching materials for vocational students in automotive engineering classes often fail to meet contextual needs, hindering effective learning. This research uses the ADDIE model to develop a tailored Automotive Nuance Textbook; English Learning Materials For Automotive Engineering Vocational Students using the Research and Development approach. The study involved 25 students chosen randomly, focusing on needs analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. Based on the needs analysis instrument results, the English material packaged in automotive nuance textbook for vocational students if developed will be very useful because it is designed according to the needs of the Automotive Engineering Vocational Students. then from the results of the instrument effectiveness test and the final analysis of automotive students, it was found that each percentage had a score in the 100% category. Results indicated a strong need for specialized English materials, showing high effectiveness in addressing students' learning needs. Abstract

The low interest of students in participating in learning activities motivated this research. Lack of student participation in discussions or asking questions has an impact on decreasing interest in learning. This factor is not only related to education, but also influenced by student behavior, suitability of materials, and teaching methods that do not match their interests and learning styles. Podcast media is an effective educational option. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of podcast media on learning interest of Master of PAI students class of 2023 UIN Raden Fatah Palembang. This study involved 31 PAI students of class E. A quantitative approach with a pre-experimental design (one-group pre-test and post-test) was used to collect data to measure changes in learning interest. The analysis results showed that the podcast effectively increased students' interest in learning. Before the treatment, 9 students (29%) had high interest, 19 students (61.2%) had moderate interest, and 6 students (19.4%) had low interest. However, after the treatment, students who had low interest dropped to 16 students (52%). With a significance value of 0.001 (p < 0.05), the statistical analysis showed a significant difference between before and after the treatment.

Abstract

Kehidupan yang tertib dan damai dalam tatanan masyarakat adalah menjadi harapan, namun dalam interaksi antar individu di dalamnya akan ada saja perbedaan-perbedaan sesuai kepentingan masing-masing sehingga dapat menimbulkan benturan kepentingan yang satu dengan yang lain yang dapat mengganggu keseimbangan tatanan masyarakat dapat berupa konflik atau pertikaian. Sekarang marak terjadi, masyarakat cenderung menggunakan kekerasan dalam penyelesaian sengketa yang mereka alami, dengan harapan dapat diselesaikan dengan cepat dan biaya lebih murah. Masyarakat memandang bahwa dengan melakukan kekerasan, sengketa yang terjadi akan dapat diselesaikan,sehingga dalam kehidupan masyarakat yang demikian, maka angka konflik atau pertikaian terus meningkat dan menjadi fenomena biasa dalam masyarakat baik terkait konflik antara dua individu maupun lebih. Fenomena ini berakibat pada penumpukan perkara di lembaga-lembaga peradilan, belum lagi yang tidak dilaporkan yang dapat menjadi bara dalam jiwa korban maupun pelaku yang sewaktu-waktu dapat meledak dan memicu eskalasi konflik yang semakin luas. Kecenderungan orang berprasangka buruk terhadap proses peradilan konvensional sekarang, disana disangka terjadi adu loby mana yang kuat dia yang menang dan malah dikatakan menang jadi arang kalah jadi abu. Prasangka buruk itu yang membuat proses peradilan tidak dipercaya, yang berakibat kecenderungan orang melampiaskan penyelesaian masalahnya dengan main hakim sendiri

Abstract

Abstract.This study aims to analyze the role of parents in reading interest of students. This research is a type of quantitative research with the number of respondents in the study of 99 fifth grade students at SD Negeri Gugus Sultan Fatah, Bonang District, Demak Regency. The method in this study is quasi experimental This study also used a non-experimental or ex post facto design. The data collection techniques used were questionnaires and documentation. Test instrument using validation test and reliability test. The results of the study is parents influenced the reading interest of fifth grade students in SD Negeri Gugus Sultan Fatah, Bonang District, Demak Regency by 312 or 31.2% and the correlation value was 0, 559. Parents' suggestions should maximize the role to foster students' interest in reading. Children will learn from their parents, so set a good example, where when children see their parents so enjoy reading and judging books can be a great inspiration, of course their reading interest can increase Keywords: role of parents, interest in reading

Abstract

Evaluation instruments in teacher training are important elements to ensure the improvement of teaching competence and the effectiveness of the learning process. With the development of technology, digital-based evaluation instruments have emerged as a solution to provide faster and more accurate feedback. However, the use of technology in training evaluation still faces challenges, such as limited digital skills among some teachers. This study aims to develop a digital-based evaluation instrument and analyze its impact on teacher competency development. The approach used in this study is qualitative with a case study design, through in-depth interview techniques, participatory observation, and documentation studies. The results of the study indicate that digital-based evaluation instruments have a positive impact on teacher competency development by accelerating the process of self-reflection and improving teaching techniques. However, challenges related to technical limitations in some teachers require attention to ensure the effectiveness of using this instrument. These findings emphasize the importance of technology training to support continuous teacher professional development.

Abstract

Kartu Menuju Sehat (KMS) merupakan kartu yang memuat kurva pertumbuhan anak berdasarkan indeks antropometri berat badan menurut umur yang dibedakan berdasarkan jenis kelamin. Pencatatan KMS secara manual belum optimal dikarenakan sering terjadi kesalahan pencatatan akibat hilangnya kartu KMS sehingga perkembangan balita tidak terpantau dengan baik yang dapat menyebabkan timbulnya kasus gizi buruk. Tujuan penelitian merancang aplikasi kartu menuju sehat berbasis web dan android guna mempermudah proses rekapitulasi data dan memantau perkembangan balita. Metode penelitian menggunakan SDLC (System Development Life Cycle) dengan model waterfall bersifat sistematis, siklus pembuatan dan pengembangan dari fase perencanaan, analisis, perancangan, implementasi hingga pemeliharaan sistem perangkat lunak. Hasil pengujian sistem yang diakses menggunakan web dan android ini admin login dan sistem menampilkan halaman dashboard seperti data admin, data user, data balita, data KMS, dan data laporan. Menu data KMS menampilkan kategori status gizi berat badan berdasarkan umur (BB/U) dan berat badan berdasarkan tinggi badan (BB/TB). Sedangkan user login dan sistem menampilkan halaman menu utama seperti informasi balita, kartu menuju sehat, daftar imunisasi, pengaturan akun dan fitur logout. Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian berjalan dengan baik dan menampilkan tampilan sederhana yang mudah dipahami.

Abstract

Stunting merupakan indikator status gizi kronis yang mencerminkan pertumbuhan terhambat karena kekurangan gizi jangka panjang. Penyebabnya termasuk pola makan yang buruk, penyakit menular, dan masalah lingkungan. Penelitian ini bertujuan membandingkan efektivitas dua algoritma clustering, yaitu K-Means dan Partitioning Around Medoids (PAM), dalam pengelompokan data balita yang mengalami stunting. Dalam penelitian ini, dataset yang digunakan mencakup data balita dengan beberapa variabel penting, seperti Nama, Jenis Kelamin, berat badan, tinggi badan dan faktor penyebab stunting. Analisis clustering dilakukan dengan menggunakan software RapidMiner dan hasil clustering dievaluasi menggunakan Davies-Bouldin Index (DBI). Hasil menunjukkan bahwa algoritma K-Means dan PAM memberikan hasil clustering yang berbeda, K-Means menghasilkan nilai DBI yang lebih rendah menunjukkan cluster yang lebih baik dalam pengelompokan balita stunting yaitu 0,005 sedangkan K- Medoids menghasilkan nilai 0,011. Integrasi kedua metode ini memberikan pendekatan yang lebih optimal untuk mendukung penyuluhan penyakit stunting, yang dapat membantu program intervensi yang lebih tepat sasaran. Selain itu, penelitian ini juga menunjukkan pentingnya kerjasama dengan Puskesmas untuk mengumpulkan data yang akurat dan relevan guna mendukung program pengentasan stunting di daerah yang berisiko tinggi.
