Abstract

This research is to examine the use of storybook teaching media on the reading ability of class III students at SDK Tilang. This research is qualitative and uses a descriptive approach. The use of storybooks on the reading ability of class III students at SDK Tilang is the object of research. The research instrument is the researcher himself who is equipped with a data recording sheet. In this research, it was found that the use of storybooks could improve students' reading abilities. The data used in this research was collected by means of documentation and data analysis techniques used in this research. Based on the results of this research, it can be concluded that the use of storybook teaching media has great potential in improving students' reading skills. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers use teaching media more often in the learning process to support the achievement of learning objectives.

Abstract

NASA’s explorer robot rovers were primarily famous for its capability of exploring the rough and unknown terrain of planet Mars. The main suspension system of the rover has been an attraction for robotic enthusiasts due to its simple yet effective design, the so-called rocker-bogie system. Since its launch, this suspension system has been further researched, explored, and developed for different purpose and area of application. This paper proposes the design and development of a robotic platform utilizing the mentioned capability of Mars rover to explore the uneven terrain of farming field usually found in local precincts. The proposed robot has 6, all-driven wheels. Using the six-wheeled driven robot platform, the proposed system is tasked to autonomously explore the farming field. It can be tasked for a variety of purposes, such as soil inspection, weather checking, general mapping, and sample extraction. A couple of prototypes are designed and built to evaluate the exploring capability, the sensor accommodation capacity, as well as the electrical and electronic required. Preliminary results show that the robot platform can perform well in roving uneven terrain and can accommodate a variety of sensors either placed inside its enclosure or placed on its robotic arm.

Abstract

Visi pembangunan indonesia sehat ditandai dengan masyarakat yang penduduknya hidup dalam lingkungan dan berperilaku sehat, mempunyai derajat kesehatan yang tinggi serta mempunyai kemampuan dalam menjangkau pelayanan kesehatan yang bermutu. Perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) merupakan salah satu upaya dalam menciptakan serta memberikan pengalaman belajar bagi individu, kelompok masyarakat dan keluarga dengan memberikan iformasi dan melakukan edukasi tentang bagaimana cara meningkatkan, pengetahuan, sikap dan perilaku terhadap kesehatan. Tujuan dari kegiata ini adalah untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan anak di usia dini tentang perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode ceramah, diskusi tanya jawab serta simulasi dengan menggunakan media LCD dan alat peraga. Hasil kegiatan ini menunjukan bahwa ada pengaruh penyuluhan PHBS terhadap pengetahuan anak SDN 01 Moramo Utara sebelum dan sesudah dilakukan pelatihan dengan nilai p-value  = 0,001 < α = 0,000 yang dianalisis menggunakan uji Mc Nemar, yang artinya H0 ditolak dan H1 diterima. Kesimpulan dari kegiatan ini adalah ada pengaruh pelatihan penyuluhan perilaku hidup bersih dan sehat (PHBS) terhadap pengetahuan anak SDN 01 Moramo Utara.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to find out the best way to take character education, as well as the difficulties faced and the solutions used. The research was conducted at MA al Islamiyah Danawarih using qualitative methodologies and data collection techniques such as observation, interview, and documentation. As a result, character education values are implemented through conceptual knowledge, following rules, and modeling good behavior-all of which continue to support each stage of the character education process. This process still faces internal and external obstacles despite these efforts. Appropriate solutions are needed to overcome these challenges, such as reminding teachers and encouraging continuous introspection from both students and teachers engaged in character education.

Abstract

Marriage at an early age is still common in developing countries, one of which is Indonesia. Most people are not aware of the dangers of pregnancy or giving birth to mothers who are less than 20 years old. In Morowali district, the National Population and Family Planning Agency (BKKBN) of Central Sulawesi Province stated that the number of early child marriages in the region is still very high. From the overall data, there is 58% dominance of early marriage, in fact, this number in the last two years has moved up rapidly. The purpose of this study was to analyze the relationship between early marriage in adolescents in terms of education and level of knowledge about free sex in Bahomante Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency.The research design used in this study is correlational analytic with a cross-sectional time approach. The population in this study were all young men and women aged 11-19 years in Bahomante Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency in 2022. The sampling method in this study used a simple random sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire. It is known that from 36 (100%) respondents the level of adolescent education is mostly high school and PT 28 (77.8%), most have good knowledge 28 (77.8%) and most are not married at an early age 28 (77, 8%). The analysis test using Chi Square shows that the significance level is 0.000 < = 0.05 so that H0 is rejected and H1 is accepted. Thus, there is a relationship between education and level of knowledge about free sex with early marriage in Bahomante Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency. It is concluded that lack of education and knowledge is a factor in the occurrence of marriage at an early age. Most of the teenagers in Bahomante Village, Bungku Tengah District, Morowali Regency did not get married at an early age.

Abstract

Learning activities are the primary means of achieving a learning goal in the classroom. In the learning process in the classroom, a professional teacher must master basic skills in teaching, especially skills in opening lessons. A teacher's ability to open lessons effectively will impact an effective learning process, motivating him to learn in class. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1). The level of teacher opening skills at MIN 9 Hulu Sungai Tengah; 2). The effect of teacher opening skills on student learning motivation at MIN 9 Hulu Sungai Tengah. This is a quantitative study, and the population of this study is all students at MIN 9 Hulu Sungai Tengah, a total of 183, with a sample of up to 26 students in class VI. The main method used is the questionnaire, while the supporting methods are observation and documentation. The results showed that the teacher's skill level in opening lessons was in the high category, with the largest presentation score of 57.7%. Meanwhile, the impact of the teacher's opening lesson skills on student learning motivation is significant. This can be shown by the t-count value of 28.718 and the t-table of 2.060, which have a sig level of 0.0000168, which means it is less than 0.05 or 5%. If sig 0.05, H0 is rejected and Ha is accepted, according to the test criteria. So, it can be concluded that the independent variable has a significant effect on the dependent variable, and the hypothesis is accepted, meaning that the teacher's skill in opening lessons affects learning motivation.

Abstract

Abstrak: Tulisan ini membahas tentang salah satu model pengembangan kurikukulum, di mana model merupakan suatu ulasan secara teoritis tentang suatu konsep dasar. Maka dari itu, model pengembangan kurikulum menurut Tyler merupakan salah satu teori yang dapat dijadikan rujukan untuk mengembangkan kurikum, baik tingkat nasional maupun tingkat institusional dan dalam merancang pembelajaran. Model pengembangan kurikulum menurut Ralp W. Tyler ini merupakan model pengembangan kurikulum pertama dan rasional serta mudah diikuti, bahkan mudah untuk diaplikasikan dalam setiap institusi.

Abstract

The increase in life expectancy among the elderly is, on one hand, a positive development, but on the other hand, it can lead to new social challenges, particularly concerning elderly care and welfare. Changes experienced by the elderly, such as reduced income due to retirement, physical changes, and communication difficulties, also impact their quality of life. The quality of life for the elderly is not solely measured by general satisfaction but encompasses various dimensions, including physical, psychological, social, and environmental factors. From an Islamic perspective, caring for and showing attention to the elderly is highly encouraged, with an emphasis on the importance of emotional and social support. This study aims to analyze the relationship between family coping strategies and the quality of life of elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment in the working area of the Banjar Serasan Health Center, East Pontianak. The research employed a descriptive correlative design with a cross-sectional approach. The study involved 50 elderly participants aged 60 years and above, selected through screening using the MMSE (Mini-Mental State Examination) instrument. The findings of the study concluded that family coping strategies play a crucial role in enhancing the quality of life for elderly individuals with mild cognitive impairment.  Statistical analysis revealed a significant value (p = 0.000), result indicating a relationship between family coping strategies and the quality of life of the elderly with mild cognitive impairment. The correlation coefficient value of 0.663 suggests a strong relationship.

Abstract

The increasing intensity of internet usage in school environments demands optimal network management to ensure stable and high-quality connections. This study aims to evaluate the impact of bandwidth management implementation on the scalability of internet access within the Local Area Network (LAN) at SMKN 5 Seluma, Bengkulu Province. The research employed a descriptive quantitative method with an experimental approach, utilizing the Simple Queue feature on MikroTik devices. Data collection was conducted before and after the implementation, focusing on five key parameters: latency, bandwidth usage, packet loss, the ratio of active users to connection performance, and network availability. The test results showed significant improvements, including a reduction in latency from 144 ms to 52 ms, a decrease in packet loss from 2.58% to 0.5%, and an increase in availability from 94.5% to 99.48%. Statistical testing using the paired t-test confirmed that the differences were significant (p < 0.05). Therefore, the implementation of bandwidth management using the Simple Queue feature has proven effective in improving network efficiency and stability, even under high traffic conditions.

Abstract

This research aims to develop the language skills of children aged 4-5 years through the use of fantasy puppet media in Al-Fajri Early Childhood Education (PAUD), East Tanjung Jabung. This Classroom Action Research (PTK) was carried out in two cycles, each consisting of planning, implementation, observation and reflection. The data collected includes children's ability to retell fairy tales and name the puppets. The results showed significant improvements in both abilities. At the end of Cycle II, 75% of children reached the BSB category in retelling fairy tales, and 83% of children reached the BSB category in naming puppets. These findings indicate that fantasy puppet media is effective in improving children's language skills through interactive and fun learning. This research supports the theories of constructivism and multiple intelligences, and provides an important contribution to the development of creative learning media based on local culture. The conclusion of this study shows that the use of fantasy puppet media is effective in improving the language skills of early childhood. Therefore, it is recommended that teachers and parents be more active in using creative media such as puppets to support children's language development, so that they can communicate better and build the social skills needed in everyday life
