Abstract

This community service was carried out in Kayumalue Ngapa Village, North Palu District, focusing on education and early detection of degenerative diseases, such as hypertension, diabetes mellitus, and other metabolic disorders. The main problem in this area is the low level of public awareness of healthy lifestyles and the lack of regular health check-ups, which leads to a high risk of degenerative diseases. The activities included health education and blood pressure, blood sugar, cholesterol, and uric acid screenings for local residents. A total of 20 participants took part in the programme, which also included pre- and post-tests to measure knowledge improvement. The results showed an average score increase from 3.9 to 7.9, indicating the success of the educational intervention. Health screenings revealed that most participants had high risk factors for degenerative diseases, although they had not yet shown severe clinical symptoms. These findings underscore the importance of early detection and community-based preventive interventions. This activity successfully improved community health knowledge and awareness and demonstrated that a participatory, educational, and evidence-based approach is an effective strategy for reducing the risk of degenerative diseases in the community. This programme is recommended for integration into routine primary health care activities and expansion to other areas with similar issues.

Abstract

Kondisi cuaca ekstrem di Makkah, potensi terjadinya keadaan darurat di sekolah serta kebiasaan gaya hidup tidak sehat mendorong perlunya peningkatan kesadaran siswa mengenai kesehatan, termasuk pencegahan heatstroke, P3K, dan cek kesehatan. Selain itu, adanya kesenjangan dalam penguasaan keterampilan non-akademik, seperti public speaking, penulisan esai, dan kreativitas praktis, maka mahasiswa KKN UMY akan memberikan suatu program pengembangan kreativitas bagi siswa Sekolah Indonesia Makkah. Tujuan : Program KKN ini diharapkan dapat memberikan perubahan yang signifikan dalam bidang kesehatan dan kreativitas siswa yaitu untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan dan kesadaran siswa mengenai hidup sehat. Siswa juga diharapkan dapat menemukan minat dan bakat mereka, serta memiliki keterampilan yang akan berguna bagi masa depan mereka. Metode : Metode yang digunakan dalam pelaksanaan program KKN meliputi metode penyuluhan materi, partisipasif melalui tanya jawab, simulasi atau praktik langsung oleh peserta, pelayanan kesehatan, konsultasi, sosialisasi, visualisasi kreatif, dan demonstrasi. Hasil : Program KKN ini memberikan peningkatan kesadaran siswa dan guru tentang pentingnya menjaga kesehatan dengan menerapkan gaya hidup sehat. Melalui kegiatan pengembangan kreativitas, siswa menemukan minat dan bakat mereka, serta memperoleh keterampilan yang akan berguna bagi masa depan. Kesimpulan : Program KKN ini memberikan dampak yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan kualitas hidup siswa di Sekolah Indonesia Makkah, baik dari segi kesehatan maupun kreativitas.

Abstract

In an increasingly competitive business world, the performance of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) is an important indicator of a country's economic sector. This study explores the performance model of SMEs by assessing the crucial role of financial resources and entrepreneurial orientation in influencing two key dimensions of performance: profitability and sales growth. The results show that both financial resources and entrepreneurial orientation have significant and positive impacts on SME profitability and sales growth. This finding underscores the importance of adequate access to capital and innovative entrepreneurial orientation in improving business performance. Interestingly, the interaction between financial resources and entrepreneurial orientation shows a positive effect, but is not statistically significant, indicating that the combined impact of these two factors can be influenced by the specific context of SMEs. This study offers new insights for practitioners and policymakers in designing strategies and policies that support SMEs. By understanding how capital and entrepreneurial orientation contribute to business performance, it is hoped that more effective approaches can be developed to facilitate the growth and sustainability of SMEs in Indonesia.

Abstract

Islamic online media in Indonesia plays a vital role in promoting messages of peace within a diverse society. This study aims to explore the journalistic strategies employed by Islamic online media to foster peace. Using a literature review approach, the study conducts an in-depth analysis of relevant content from Islamic online media. The findings reveal that Islamic online media adopt inclusive approaches, constructive diction, and multimedia formats such as videos, infographics, and podcasts to amplify the reach of peace messages. Additionally, these media outlets facilitate public dialogue through online discussion forums, which help mitigate opinion polarization. This research contributes to the academic literature by offering new insights into the role of Islamic media as peace agents and their relevance in Indonesia's digital society.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the deflection that occurs through numerical simulation using Ansys Software in static structural modeling on an ST 60 steel square beam. The variables in this study are loads of 10, 15, and 20 N, as well as the types of supports, namely fixed-fixed, fixed-roller, and hinge-roller. The results show that the larger the load, the greater the deflection that occurs. The maximum deflection occurs at a load of 20 N. The fixed-fixed and hinge-roller supports show maximum deflection at a distance of 400 mm, while the fixed-roller support shows maximum deflection at a distance of 450 mm. Among the three types of supports used in this study, the simple support (hinge-roller) results in greater deflection compared to the fixed-fixed and fixed-roller supports. The hinge-roller support results in a deflection of 1.212 mm, the fixed-roller support results in a deflection of 0.541 mm, and the fixed-fixed support results in a deflection of 0.302 mm..

Abstract

Corn husks contain a significant amount of cellulose, which contributes to enhancing mechanical properties as a reinforcing material in composites, including FML composites. Several studies on composites have shown that corn husk fibers can significantly improve bending strength due to cellulose's strong microfibril structure, which enhances the material's strength and rigidity. In this study, corn husk fibers are used as reinforcement to investigate the effect of varying fiber volume fractions on the bending strength of polyester matrix FML composites. The method employed is hand lay-up, with the composite structure consisting of 1100 aluminum skin, woven roving fiberglass fibers, and natural corn husk fibers. The volume fraction variations used are 5%, 15%, 25%, and 35%. Test results show that bending strength increases with the increase in corn husk fiber volume fraction but decreases at a 35% volume fraction. The highest bending strength is achieved at a 25% corn husk fiber volume fraction, with a value of 108.84 MPa.

Abstract

Peanuts in West Aceh District peanuts are one of the leading commodities of peanut farmers' income. With a harvest area of ​​240.00 hectares and production of 527.00 tons per year. The aim of this research is to analyze the supply chain of peanuts for consumption in West Aceh District. The results of the research using the Food Supply Chain Network (FSCN) approach, it can be concluded that the supply chain for peanuts for consumption already has clear targets, the relationship between actors is structured, but has not been managed properly in terms of business processes that have not been integrated in the long term. In peanuts, the seeds of collaboration between actors have been well established in terms of information disclosure, cooperation and integration between supply chain actors. Besides that, business processes run structured with good management. The results of supply chain performance analysis through the farmer's share received by farmers in each channel where the value of the farmer's share in peanuts for channel 1 is 46.88 percent, channel 2 is 45.45 percent and channel 3 is 50.00 percent. Based on these results, it can be concluded that the peanut supply chain for channel 3 is more efficient than the peanut supply chain for channels 1 and channel 2.

هتدف هذا البحث إىل حتديد تصميم تطوير املواد التعليمية أمثلة اإلعراب األساسي ملعرفة مستوى مصداقية املواد التعليمية أمثلة اإلعراب األساسي وملعرفة مستوى التطبيق العملي ملواد تعليمية أمثلة اإلعراب األساسي، تستخدم املواد التعليمية أمثلة اإلعراب األساسيأسلوب البحث باستخدام منوذج تطوير بورج وغال )Gall and Borg). حتصل هذه املواد التعليمية على قيمة ومدخالت من خرباء املواد وخرباء الوسائل وحماضر مادة دراسية النحو وطلبة شعبة تدريس اللغة العربية للمستوى الرابع ب يف اجلامعة اإلسالمية احلكومية فالوفو، من نتائج اختبار صدق املواد التعليمية أمثلة اإلعراب األساسي، كان متوسط قيمة الصالحية الكلية .۰،۸۲ لذلك ميكن القول أن املواد التعليمية املطورة أمثلة اإلعراباألساسي تفي مبعايري الصالحية بفئة صاحلة للغاية، وبناءً على نتائج استبيان إجابات الطلبة حصل على متوسط درجة ،%۹۰ وهو مدرج يف فئة "عملي جدًا" بشكل عام، تظهر نتائج هذا البحث والتطوير أن املواد التعليمية اليت مت تطويرها من قبل طلبة شعبة تدريس اللغةالعربية يف اجلامعة اإلسالمية احلكومية فالوفو مناسبة لالستخدام

Abstract

The objectives of the research are (1) Knowledge of the design of crossword development in teaching Arabic vocabulary to eighth grade students at the comprehensive private secondary school Datuk Suleiman Valofu. (2) Knowing the level of validity of crosswords in teaching Arabic vocabulary to eighth grade students at the National Comprehensive Secondary School Datuk Suleiman Valofu. (3) Knowing the level of crossword operation in teaching Arabic vocabulary to eighth grade students at Datuk Suleiman Valofu Comprehensive Secondary School. This research uses the Research and Development method. The participants in this research were eighth grade students at the Datuk Suleiman Valofu Comprehensive High School with 10 (10) students as the research sample. Data collection techniques use observation, questionnaire and documentation. The following Search results (1) Crossword development design in teaching Arabic vocabulary to development model D4 modified to D3; Define, Design), Development. (2) The level of crossword validity in teaching Arabic vocabulary obtained the overall calendar 3.5 in the valid category with a value of 3.5 ≥ V ≥ 2.5. (3) The level of crossword operation in teaching Arabic vocabulary obtained from the teacher's response questionnaires was 4.3 and the students' response questionnaires were 4.4 in the high category.

Abstract

One factor that can influence learning motivation is learning methods. This research was motivated by a problem when the researcher made observations, where there were still some students who lacked enthusiasm for learning, did not listen to the teacher, and still had low motivation. The purpose of this study is to analyze the seventh grade PAI class at SMP Negeeri 1 in the Payakumbuh District to see how the peer tutoring method affected the students' enthusiasm to learn. Thinking about how little relevant and suitable procedures are used. By dividing a population into a control group and an experimental group, IM studies employ a quasi-experimental study design. The students in both classes will be given pre- and post-tests as part of this research. The research found that the Sig. (pvalue) = 0.026a 0.05 for the control class and experimental class indicated that Ho is rejected and H1 is accepted, respectively, in the hypothesis testing. The computations show that the implementation of the peer-guided learning technique affects the learning outcomes of seventh grade PAI students at SMP Negeri 1 Kecemaaten Payakumbuh.
