Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan representasi makna dan fungsi pemmali pada masyarakat etnis Bugis di Kabupaten Barru. Jenis penelitian ini adalah deskriptif kualitatif yang tujuannya untuk menyajikan makna dan fungsi pemmali pada masyarakat etnis Bugis di Kabupaten Barru. Data dalam penelitian ini yaitu berupa pemmali yang masih diterapkan pada masyarakat etnis Bugis di Kabupaten Barru. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik wawancara, simak catat, dan dokumentasi. Data penelitian dianalisis dengan melakukan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan

Abstract

This study reports the development and evaluation of SIDANGKE (Sistem Informasi Stunting Kabupaten Enrekang), a mobile learning application designed to improve public literacy on stunting prevention in Enrekang Regency, South Sulawesi, Indonesia. The research adopted an applied Research and Development (R&D) approach using the ADDIE model, comprising analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation stages. The application was developed based on community needs, local health data, and instructional design principles to ensure contextual relevance and usability. Data were collected through interviews, observations, expert validation instruments, and pre-test and post-test assessments involving parents of toddlers, community health cadres, and health practitioners. The data were analysed using descriptive statistics and inferential analysis, including expert validation scores and the N-Gain test to measure effectiveness. The results indicate that the SIDANGKE application achieved a content and media validity score of 91.8%, classified as very high, and a practicality score of 89.6%, indicating strong usability and user acceptance. Furthermore, the effectiveness analysis produced an N-Gain value of 0.67, reflecting a moderate-to-high improvement in users’ knowledge and understanding of stunting causes, prevention strategies, and early intervention practices. These findings demonstrate that mobile learning can serve as an effective medium for community-based health education, particularly in rural areas with limited access to conventional learning resources. The study supports mobile learning theory, multimedia learning principles, and health literacy frameworks, while also aligning with regional stunting reduction policies and national digital transformation initiatives. Overall, SIDANGKE represents a valid, practical, and effective digital innovation that can be scaled and replicated to strengthen community health literacy and support sustainable stunting prevention programmes in Indonesia.

Abstract

The Makkalu Dapureng tradition is one of the enduring cultural heritages of the Bugis-Makassar community, still actively practiced today, particularly in the context of marriage ceremonies. This tradition reflects the values of togetherness, mutual cooperation, and social solidarity that form the moral foundation of community life. Beyond its social dimension, Makkalu Dapureng embodies profound philosophical meanings closely related to the essence of marriage as both a spiritual and social bond. This article aims to explore the philosophical significance of Makkalu Dapureng from the perspective of marriage using a theological-normative and sociological approach. Theologically, the study traces Islamic values embedded in the tradition, such as the principles of ta’awun (mutual assistance), ukhuwah islamiyah (Islamic brotherhood), and the ideals of sakinah, mawaddah, and rahmah as the ultimate goals of family life. Sociologically, it examines how this tradition strengthens social cohesion, fosters collective responsibility, and maintains the balance between individual and communal values. The findings reveal that Makkalu Dapureng functions not only as a social practice but also as a symbol of harmony between local cultural values and Islamic teachings. Its philosophical meaning lies in the moral messages of sincerity, loyalty, and togetherness, which serve as the main pillars of family life. Therefore, Makkalu Dapureng can be regarded as a tangible expression of the integration between culture and religion, reinforcing the sacredness of marriage within the Bugis-Makassar society.

Abstract

Penelitian ini mengkaji fenomena annyala (kawin lari) di Kabupaten Gowa, Sulawesi Selatan, sebagai mekanisme adaptasi masyarakat Bugis-Makassar terhadap tekanan struktural dan perubahan sosial kontemporer. Menggunakan metode kualitatif fenomenologis dengan pendekatan studi kasus, penelitian ini melibatkan wawancara mendalam terhadap pelaku annyala, imam desa, tokoh masyarakat, dan pemangku adat. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi partisipatif, dan analisis dokumen, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan model interaktif Miles & Huberman. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan tiga faktor utama pendorong annyala: (1) tingginya uang panai' (50 juta rupiah ke atas) yang memberatkan pihak laki-laki, (2) kehamilan di luar nikah, dan (3) perjodohan yang tidak sesuai kehendak. Peran hukum adat, khususnya melalui Imam sebagai mediator, terbukti efektif dalam menyelesaikan konflik melalui mekanisme ammotere abbaji (rekonsiliasi). Terjadi transformasi signifikan dalam persepsi masyarakat, di mana annyala yang dulunya dianggap appakasiri-siri (sangat memalukan) kini mengalami normalisasi seiring berkurangnya stigma sosial. Implikasi multidimensional meliputi: beban psikologis pelaku yang mengalami pemendekan durasi isolasi sosial, paradoks ekonomi di mana biaya annyala justru lebih mahal dari pernikahan normal, dan supremasi de facto hukum adat dalam sistem hukum plural. Penelitian ini berkontribusi pada pemahaman dinamika budaya Bugis-Makassar dalam menghadapi modernisasi, serta menawarkan model rekonsiliasi berbasis kearifan lokal yang dapat menjadi rujukan kebijakan sosial di wilayah dengan praktik serupa.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas tentang penerapan metode Yanbu’a berbantuan aplikasi Lumi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik dalam kegiatan pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas pembelajaran Pendidikan Agama Islam pada penerapan metode Yanbu’a berbantuan aplikasi Lumi di kelas IV SDN 54 Salupikung Kota Palopo dan mengetahui penggunaan metode Yanbu’a berbantuan aplikasi Lumi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik. Jenis penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK). Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas IV di SDN 54 Salupikung Kota Palopo yang berjumlah 21 orang peserta didik. Teknik pengumpulan data yaitu melalui tes, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu analisis data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa keterlaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran memperoleh nilai yaitu 93%. Kemudian nilai hasil observasi aktivitas peserta didik memperoleh hasil akhir sebanyak 93% termasuk kategori sangat baik. Adapun nilai hasil tes kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik mengalami peningkatan sebanyak 25% dari siklus I ke siklus II, dengan perolehan nilai ketuntasan klasikal yaitu 79% (tuntas). Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat diketahui bahwa dengan melalui penerapan metode Yanbu’a berbantuan aplikasi Lumi dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca Al-Qur’an peserta didik kelas IV SDN 54 Salupikung Kota Palopo. Dengan demikian, penerapan metode Yanbu’a dapat direkomendasikan untuk digunakan dalam proses pembelajaran.

Abstract

School environment is a crucial determinant in supporting students’ emotional well-being and academic achievement. This study aims to analyze the influence of various aspects of the school environment including school climate, physical conditions, social relationships, and the implementation of social-emotional learning (SEL) programson students’ emotional well-being and academic performance. Using a narrative literature review approach, the study synthesizes key theories and empirical findings from international and local research. The review shows that a positive school environment consistently contributes to improved emotional well-being among students through mechanisms such as enhanced sense of safety, reduced stress, greater sense of belonging, and better teacher-student relationships. Adequate physical conditionssuch as lighting, ventilation, and classroom comfortare found to enhance focus, motivation, and engagement in learning. Furthermore, SEL programs play a significant role in strengthening emotional regulation skills, empathy, and social interaction, which then impact academic performance. Empirical evidence from prior studies indicates that emotional well-being acts as a critical mediator between the school environment and academic achievement; students with high well-being are more likely to exhibit better motivation, attendance, and persistence. Therefore, strengthening the school environment through infrastructural improvements, enhanced quality of social relationships, and implementation of SEL programs is a key strategy to sustainably improve students’ emotional well-being and academic achievement. This review provides important implications for teachers, school principals, and policymakers in designing holistic, evidence-based interventions.

Abstract

Among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar. The research questions formulated for this study are: 1) What is the level of knowledge regarding sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar?, 2) What is the level of knowledge regarding sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar after the use of instructional videos?, and 3) Is there an improvement in the knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar through the use of instructional videos? The objectives of this research are to determine: 1) The knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities prior to the use of instructional videos, 2) The knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities after the use of instructional videos, and 3) The improvement in the knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities. The subject of this study was a seventh-grade female student with an intellectual disability. Data collection techniques utilized an initial test (pretest) and a final test (posttest). Based on the research data gathered from the subject at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar, the conclusions of this study are: 1) The knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar prior to the use of instructional videos fell into the highly inadequate category; 2) The knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar after the use of instructional videos fell into the adequate category; 3) There is an improvement in the knowledge of sex education among children with intellectual disabilities at SLB-C YPPLB Makassar following the use of instructional videos.

Abstract

Although the role of student organizations in fostering discipline has been widely studied, research specifically examining the role of female student organizations in disciplining female students’ performance of congregational prayers in modern Islamic boarding schools remains limited. This study aimed to describe the role of the Organisasi Santri Pesantren Adlaniyah (OSPA) in disciplining female students’ congregational prayers and to identify its supporting and inhibiting factors. This study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data were collected through observations, in-depth interviews, and documentation at Pondok Pesantren Modern Adlaniyah, Pasaman Barat Regency. The research informants consisted of the OSPA supervisor as the key informant, OSPA administrators as the primary informants, and female students as supporting informants, who were selected using purposive sampling. Data were analysed using the interactive model of Miles and Huberman, which comprises data reduction, data presentation, conclusion drawing, and verification, while data validity was examined through technique triangulation. The results showed that OSPA performed five interrelated roles in disciplining congregational prayers, namely as a supervisor, motivator, mentor, role model, and enforcer of regulations. Factors supporting the performance of these roles included the active involvement of OSPA administrators in carrying out their duties, the existence of Islamic boarding school rules and policies, and support and guidance from female religious teachers and the OSPA supervisor. Meanwhile, the inhibiting factors included suboptimal cooperation among OSPA administrators, limited supporting facilities, and the influence of an undisciplined environment and peers. This study confirms that student organizations play a strategic role in fostering religious discipline through structured supervision, habituation, role modelling, guidance, and rule enforcement. These findings extend the application of habituation theory and the concept of Islamic organization to the context of enforcing religious discipline through student organizations and provide practical implications for Islamic boarding school administrators in strengthening a systematic and sustainable disciplinary system. Future research may examine the role of male student organizations or the implementation of discipline in other forms of worship.

Abstract

This study aims to improve student learning outcomes through the application of picture media in the learning process at SD Negeri 4 Sigli. This study used the Classroom Action Research (CAR) method. The research subjects were 24 students. Data collection techniques were carried out through tests, observations, and documentation, while the data were analyzed descriptively quantitatively. The results showed that in Cycle I, the average value of student learning outcomes reached 51.5 with a classical completeness of 16.6%, where only 4 of 24 students reached the high category. After learning improvements were made in Cycle II, the average value increased to 81.3 with a classical completeness of 66.7%, and the number of students reaching the high category increased to 16 people. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of picture media can improve student learning outcomes.

Abstract

The cultivation of students’ moral values through the implementation of congregational Dhuhr prayers at school continues to face various challenges, including low student discipline, suboptimal teacher guidance methods, inconsistent supervision, and the influence of the environment and technological developments. This study aimed to analyze the methods used by teachers to cultivate moral values through congregational Dhuhr prayers, identify the moral values instilled, and examine the supporting and inhibiting factors in their implementation at SMP Negeri 1 Jujuhan Ilir Subdistrict, Bungo Regency. The study employed a qualitative approach with a descriptive design. The research informants consisted of Islamic Religious Education teachers, the school principal, and students. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation and were subsequently analyzed through the stages of data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. Data trustworthiness was established using source and method triangulation. The results showed that teachers applied the methods of habituation, role modeling, advice, rewards, punishment, supervision, and evaluation in cultivating students’ moral character. The moral values instilled included discipline, responsibility, religiosity, politeness, and social concern. The implementation of moral development was supported by the roles of teachers and families and the availability of school facilities and infrastructure, whereas the inhibiting factors included low student awareness, suboptimal supervision, limited facilities, environmental influences, and technological developments. These findings confirm that moral development through congregational Dhuhr prayers has been implemented effectively but requires consistency in applying the methods and synergy among the school, teachers, families, and the surrounding environment. This study contributes to the development of research on character education based on religious habituation and provides practical implications for schools in strengthening teacher supervision and collaboration with parents to optimize students’ moral development.
