Abstract

Digital transformation in education, particularly post-COVID-19, has accelerated a major shift towards online learning. While it offers flexibility, this transition has also had significant impacts on students' mental health, including stress, anxiety, and digital burnout due to intense virtual interactions. This study aims to examine the relationship between cyber pedagogy, digital burnout, and students' mental health in the context of online learning. Using a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this research collected and analyzed 11 articles published between 2015 and 2025 through the Scopus, Web of Science, and Google Scholar databases. The analysis process was conducted following the PRISMA guidelines, focusing on the relationship between cyber pedagogy and its impact on students' mental health. The results show that digital burnout and mental health disorders are significant challenges often overlooked in digital learning design. Cyber pedagogy, with proper management, can help reduce the psychological gap between students and the learning environment, while also improving students' well-being. This study emphasizes the importance of a more responsive and humanistic pedagogical approach in designing digital learning, which not only focuses on technical aspects but also supports students' mental health sustainably.

Abstract

This study presents a systematic literature review of recent research on the impact of integrated instructional approaches in strengthening critical thinking skills among prospective science teachers. Through an in-depth analysis of selected publications, the findings indicate that reflective learning strategies such as explicit rubric-based simulations, argument mapping, journaling, project-based learning, and the integration of socio-scientific contexts consistently enhance the cognitive, metacognitive, and affective dimensions of critical thinking. The review further demonstrates that emotional engagement and metacognitive awareness function as essential conditions for the effectiveness of reflective instruction. In addition, embedding local cultural contexts is shown to increase the relevance and meaningfulness of science learning. From a practical perspective, these findings imply that teacher education programs should systematically integrate reflective instructional designs, formative assessment rubrics, and culturally responsive learning tasks into their curricula. Moreover, institutions are encouraged to strengthen lecturer professional development, improve digital learning infrastructure, and adopt flexible curriculum policies to address implementation challenges such as institutional resistance and variability in student engagement. Collectively, these implications support the development of adaptive, inclusive, and context-sensitive science teacher education aligned with the demands of 21st-century learning.

Abstract

Digital transformation in higher education necessitates a leadership model that is both responsive to technological advancements and attuned to the emotional dynamics within institutions The study purpose was to investigate the integration of digital leadership and emotional intelligence (EI) in the context of higher education through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach. The study aimed to identify how the synergy between digital competencies and emotional sensitivity can enhance institutional leadership during digital transformation. Materials and methods. The SLR methodology involved a comprehensive search and selection process across major academic databases, applying inclusion criteria focused on relevance, recency, and methodological rigor. Articles were then thematically analyzed to identify recurring patterns and conceptual intersections between digital leadership and emotional intelligence in educational leadership contexts. Results: The analysis revealed four dominant themes: (1) leadership dynamics in the era of university 5.0, (2) the impact of digital leadership on transformation effectiveness, (3) the role of emotional intelligence in educational leadership, and (4) the synergy between digitalization and emotional values. These findings indicate that leadership models combining digital competencies and emotional intelligence enhance institutional collaboration, communication, and readiness for continuous change. Conclusions. Although research integrating digital leadership with emotional intelligence remains limited, current empirical evidence underscores the value of humanistic and adaptive leadership in navigating digital transformation. The study advocates for a comprehensive leadership framework in higher education that balances technological literacy with emotional acuity to foster inclusive, resilient, and sustainable academic institutions

Abstract

This study addresses the limited comprehensive understanding of emotional intelligence (EI) in educational settings. It aims to systematically review literature on the relationship between EI, academic achievement, and student well-being. A systematic literature review was conducted using predefined criteria, incorporating 2020–2025 studies indexed in Google Scholar and analyzed using Harzing's Publish or Perish and VOSviewer. Meta-analysis results reveal a significant positive correlation between EI and both academic performance and psychological well-being. Students with high EI demonstrate greater emotional regulation, self-esteem, and resilience. Moreover, positive teacher-student relationships and supportive learning environments amplify these effects. Despite the findings, limitations such as reliance on self-report data and underexplored cultural factors persist. Future research should implement longitudinal and diverse methodological approaches to deepen the understanding of EI's impact on holistic student development.

Abstract

This study aims to identify, analyze, and synthesize key findings regarding the implementation of technology-based biology learning in Indonesia. This study is a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) using the PRISMA model, which includes the stages of identification, screening, eligibility, and inclusion. The data search process utilized search engines and databases such as Google Search, Google Scholar, ResearchGate, SINTA, and Scopus, using keywords related to technology in Biology education. Inclusion criteria for article selection included publications from 2020–2025, experimental articles in English, indexed in SINTA (S1–S2) and Scopus (Q1–Q4), accessible, tested in Indonesia, written by authors from Biology education programs, and thematically relevant. Data analysis was conducted descriptively to identify trends in technology-based Biology learning and to highlight contributions and important information regarding the use of ICT in Biology education in Indonesia. The trend in scientific publications on ICT in Biology education shows positive development with a total of 11 publications between 2020–2025. However, most articles are still indexed in Scopus Q3 and Q4 journals, as well as Sinta 1 and 2. The absence of publications in Scopus Q1 and Q2 journals indicates the challenges faced by Indonesian researchers, such as high writing standards, strict review processes, and a lack of understanding of publication ethics and scientific writing techniques. The use of technology in biology education in Indonesia includes tools such as Lectora Inspire, audio, video, e-books, Zoom, Learning Management Systems (LMS), Digital Mind Maps (DMM), Augmented Reality (AR), Prezi, web-based resources, digital posters, and virtual labs (Gizmos).
