Abstract

This community service program aims to strengthen the professionalism of prospective Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teacher students through the implementation of a 4C-based teaching simulation model (critical thinking, creativity, collaboration, and communication). The background of the activity is based on the need to strengthen 21st-century teacher competencies that require mastery of critical thinking skills, learning creativity, professional collaboration, and effective communication as an integral part of teacher professionalism. The implementation method uses a participatory training approach structured in four stages, namely pre-implementation (need assessment and professionalism pre-test), core implementation (4C concept strengthening workshop and preparation of learning tools), teaching simulation practice (10–15 minutes of microteaching per participant accompanied by observations using the 4C rubric), and reflection and evaluation (peer feedback, self-reflection, and professionalism post-test). Program evaluation is carried out through a comparison of pre-test and post-test scores, supported by microteaching observation data and participant reflections to describe changes in professionalism quantitatively and qualitatively. The expected outcomes of this activity are an increase in the professional attitudes of prospective PPKn teachers, the ability to design and implement innovative learning, and strengthening the 4C competencies reflected in the quality of communication, creative learning strategies, collaboration with colleagues, and critical thinking skills in pedagogical decision-making. This program also produces outputs in the form of 4C-based learning tools, a teaching simulation assessment rubric, and recommendations for implementing models for developing microteaching learning in study programs.

Abstract

Introduction: Diabetes mellitus and hypertension are degenerative diseases with a high prevalence in the elderly population and commonly occur together as comorbidities, contributing to worsening metabolic and cardiovascular conditions. The coexistence of these diseases increases the risk of serious metabolic complications. Aerobic is a recommended non-pharmacological intervention because it helps control blood glucose levels, improves insulin sensitivity, and reduces blood pressure through mechanisms that enhance endothelial function and cardiorespiratory capacity. Objective: This study aims to analyze the relationship between aerobic activity levels and the status of diabetes mellitus and hypertension in elderly individuals diagnosed with type 2 diabetes mellitus in the community. Method: An analytical observational study with a cross-sectional design. Result and Discussion: The Mann-Whitney test showed a significant association between aerobic activity and diabetes mellitus status (p = 0.001), indicating that lower aerobic levels were associated with higher glucose levels. Aerobic activity was also significantly associated with hypertension status (p < 0.001), showing that lower aerobic increased the likelihood of elevated blood pressure. Conclusions: Increasing aerobic activity is an important non-pharmacological strategy to manage metabolic and cardiovascular risks in older adults with diabetes, and should be integrated into structured community health programs.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the high risk of fatigue experienced by ship crews during voyages, which directly affects occupational safety and mental well-being. Fatigue arises from long working hours, inadequate rest time, heavy workloads, and extreme environmental conditions such as high temperatures, engine noise, and vessel vibrations. On the MT. Sultan Mahmud Badaruddin II, the problem becomes more complex due to the tight work rhythm, short berthing periods, and fast, repetitive loading–unloading activities. Harsh weather conditions, short but intensive sailing distances, and limited relaxation facilities make the crew increasingly vulnerable to both physical and mental fatigue. In addition, a work culture that tends to be authoritarian and lacks communication exacerbates psychological pressure, especially when crew members find it difficult to report their fatigue to superiors. This study uses a qualitative method through direct observation and interviews with all crew members in the deck and engine departments. The aim is to analyze the influence of the work environment and work culture on fatigue levels onboard. The results show that environmental factors such as high temperatures, narrow workspaces, and vessel instability significantly affect physical fatigue. Meanwhile, mental fatigue is triggered by ineffective communication, hierarchical pressure, and an unsupportive work culture. These findings align with the perspectives of Mathis and Jackson and comply with the provisions of the STCW 2010 and MLC 2006, which emphasize the importance of regulating working hours and fatigue management. Overall, optimizing rest hours, improving the work environment, and reforming organizational culture are required to reduce fatigue risks.

Abstract

The background of this research focuses on observations at SDN Mojoroto 4, Kediri City, which indicate that the use of learning media for Natural Science and Social Science (IPAS) on the topic of Indonesia's Cultural Wealth is still suboptimal, relying more on textbooks and lectures. This has resulted in low interest and active participation from students. This study aims to develop a Technology Augmented Reality learning media based on a snake and ladder game for fourth-grade students, focusing on its validity, practicality, and effectiveness in enhancing students' learning interest. The method used is Research and Development (R&D) with the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of the study are fourth-grade students, with data collected through observations, interviews, and validation questionnaires from subject matter experts, media experts, and interest in learning, as well as student response questionnaires. Data analysis is conducted using both qualitative and quantitative descriptive approaches, including N-Gain tests for effectiveness. The validation results show that the snake and ladder-based TAR learning media is highly valid, with validation scores of 88% from subject matter experts, 84% from media experts, and 95% from interest in learning experts, resulting in an overall average of 89%. In terms of practicality, student response questionnaires in the limited trial reached 90% and in the extensive trial 95%. For effectiveness, students' interest in learning increased from 65% to 85%, with an N-Gain score of 0.57, indicating that this learning media is quite effective in enhancing students' learning interest.
