Abstract

The goal of this study is to gain an overview of personal and social guidance programs that can help students better adjust to social situations in the classroom. The description of the guiding program was discovered using qualitative research techniques. Interviews were the primary data gathering method employed in this study. In this study, counseling professors from MA Mualimin UNIVA in Medan City served as interview subjects. As a result, group and individual counseling are the techniques employed in personal and social therapy to enhance students' social adjustment. Effective communication techniques, the capacity to control one's emotions, the development of confidence, the management of stress, and an understanding of the significance of preserving one's mental and physical health are among the topics covered in the guiding program. However, social scientists and academics also discovered challenges in the implementation of personal guidance programs, including a lack of parental support, time restraints, and limited resources. It is crucial to do study on initiatives aimed at enhancing students' social adjustment. Previous research has demonstrated that group guidance programs can aid pupils in enhancing their social adjustment. Students can learn to identify and handle personal or social issues that affect their capacity to adapt to their surroundings through a successful personal and social counseling program. Abstract

One of the functions of group guidance services is to train group members' self-confidence, supported by the use of cinema therapy techniques in using film media, it can have a positive effect on clients in increasing their understanding of something, including self-confidence. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services using cinema therapy techniques in improving the self-confidence of Madrasah students. The research method used was quantitative with a pre-experiment design of a one-group pretest and a post-test design. The population in this study were all 7th-grade students at MTs. S P.P. Amiruddiniyah had as many as 132 people, with a sample of 10 students who had low self-confidence. Data was collected using a non-test instrument in the form of a self-confidence scale. Data analysis was carried out using the Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. The research results show that the significance value of asymp. Sig(2-tailed) ≤ 0.05, namely 0.005. Thus, it can be concluded that group guidance services using cinema therapy techniques are effective in increasing students' self-confidence.

Abstract

Guidance and counseling services are activities carried out through direct or face-to-face eye contact to help individuals who are experiencing problems so that these individuals can understand themselves and their environment, choose and make decisions, and can be responsible for the various problems themselves. . Related to this competency, guidance and counseling teachers or counselors manage programs including compiling programs, implementing programs, and evaluating guidance and counseling programs to help students develop optimally according to student needs. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Bedagai Regency. The method used in this research is correlational descriptive quantitative research. The data were sourced from the students who were the research samples, namely at each level a sample of 120 students was taken at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah, Serdang Bedagai Regency. As for how to collect data using a Likert scale instrument. The steps taken in data analysis are data description and hypothesis testing. Based on the test results, it can be seen that there is a significant relationship between perception and attitude, this is evidenced by the sig coefficient = 0.000 <0.05 and the Pearson correlation coefficient = 0.556. So the results of the study indicate that there is a significant positive relationship between views about the professional competence of counselors with the aim of providing student guidance and counseling services

Abstract

Confidence is one of the keys to someone being able to perform optimally in everything he does. Reaching that level of self-confidence requires maximum self-management. The purpose of this study was to find out how much social comparison affection is on self-love in adolescents at SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah. In this study, quantitative research methods and data analysis techniques used simple linear regression. The population of this study were 120 class XI students of SMA Negeri 1 Bandar Khalipah. The sampling technique used random sampling. The sample in this study was 120. The results of this study showed a relationship between social comparison and adolescent self-love, besides that, there was a significant relationship between perception and students' attitudes towards guidance and counselling with students' interest in utilizing guidance and counselling services.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to see the effectiveness of information services with the SGD (Small Group Discussion) approach in improving students' learning independence. Learning independence is a way for individuals to improve ideas, emotions, strategies, and actions that are directed at achieving learning goals. The researcher used a quantitative approach with a pre-experimental research type, which applied a one group pretest posttest design. The population was all BKPI students with a total of 120 students, the sample obtained was 30 students who had low learning independence conditions. The sample selected in this study used non-probability sampling, especially with the purposive sampling technique. Data collection used a learning independence scale. The paired sample t-test is a data analysis technique used with the help of SPSS version 22, with a significance level of α = 0.05. Based on the data obtained, the sig value (2-tailed) was 0.000 <0.05. So it can be concluded that Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted, so information services are effective with the SGD (Small Group Discussion) approach to increasing students' learning independence.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low self-esteem of orphans in the Muhammadiyah orphanage. Children with low self-esteem have a negative view of themselves, which can affect their development. This study aims to determine the effect of group guidance services with role-playing techniques on increasing the self-esteem of orphans. This study uses a quantitative experimental approach with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The population is 26 children at the Muhammadiyah Orphanage in Medan City, with a sample of 8 children with low self-esteem selected using a purposive sampling technique. The data collection tool used is a questionnaire with a Likert scale, covering 4 (four) aspects of measurement: strength, significance, wealth, and ability, as stated by Coppersmith in Susanto (2018). The reliability test results using the SPSS program showed a Cronbach Alpha value of 0.661. Cronbach Alpha value above 0.05 (0.661 > 0.05) indicates adequate reliability. Data analysis was performed using the Wilcoxon test, with a significant result of asylum.sig (2-tailed) of 0.012 < 0.05, indicating that the alternative hypothesis is accepted. Based on this analysis, group guidance services with role-playing techniques can improve the self-esteem of orphanage children. Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini adalah kondisi self esteem anak fatherless di panti asuhan putra Muhammadiyah yang rendah. Anak dengan kondisi self esteem yang rendah mempunyai pandangan yang negatif terhadap dirinya dimana hal tersebut dapat mempengaruhi perkembangannya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik role playing terhadap peningkatan self esteem anak panti asuhan. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan eksperimen kuantitatif dengan desain one group pretest posttest. Populasinya berjumlah 26 anak di Panti Asuhan Putera Muhammadiysh kots Medan, dengan sampel berjumlah 8 orang anak yang mempunyai self esteem rendah, dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Alat pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah angket dengan skala likert, dengan meliputi 4 ( empat) aspek pengukuran yaitu kekuatan, keberartian, kebajikan dan kemampuan yang dinyatakan copersmith dalamSusanto, (2018). Uji reliabilitas menggunakan program SPSS menunjukkan nilai Cronbach Alpha sebesar 0,661, nilai Cronbach Alpha di atas 0,05 (0,661 > 0,05) menunjukkan reliabilitas yang memadai. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, dengan hasil signifikansi asyimp.sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,012 < 0,05 yang menunjukkan bahwa hipotesis alternatif diterima. Berdasarkan analisa tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan, layanan bimbingan kelompok dengan teknik role playing dapat meningkatkan self esteem anak panti asuhan.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the effectiveness of group guidance services using the psychodrama approach in reducing bullying behavior among native and non-native students at Sultan Iskandar Muda Junior High School. Utilizing a quantitative design with an experimental method, the study involved two groups: an experimental group that received psychodrama interventions and a control group that did not receive any intervention. Data were collected through pre-test and post-test measures to assess bullying behavior. The analysis revealed a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental group. Before the intervention, 12.5% of students were in the high bullying category and 87.5% in the moderate category. After the intervention, 100% of students were in the low category. The Wilcoxon test showed a significant difference (p < 0.05), indicating that the observed changes were not due to chance. The psychodrama intervention in this study involved various techniques such as role playing, role reversal, and empathy training, which enabled students to understand others’ perspectives, including those from different cultural backgrounds. This approach intentionally integrated cultural inclusiveness and intergroup empathy to create a safe and supportive space for all students. These findings suggest that psychodrama is not only effective in reducing bullying behavior but also holds potential as a relevant intervention strategy in multicultural education, as it promotes cross-cultural understanding and strengthens social harmony within the school environment.

Abstract

Students with a high level of self-openness are generally more capable of managing emotions and can formulate solutions to various problems faced. Self-openness includes the ability of individuals to know themselves deeply, which is reflected in the ability to convey information about themselves to others and the readiness to accept new perspectives or assessments about themselves. Students with good self-openness also tend to solve problems more effectively because they are willing to receive help and social support from their environment. In this case, self-openness allows a person to express the emotional burden to the other party, so that the pressure felt is not borne by oneself and feels lighter. The concept of self-disclosure focuses on sharing personal information, including biographical, thought, and emotional aspects previously unknown to others. In practice, self-openness includes delivering messages accompanied by verbal and non-verbal feedback that contributes to forming and maintaining the quality of interpersonal relationships. This research aims to increase self-openness in students of the 2022 batch of the Islamic Education Counselling Study Program at the State Islamic University of Medan. This study uses a quasi-experimental design of a group pre-test and post-test with a quantitative approach. Sampling was carried out purposively, and data were collected through the distribution of questionnaires. Data analysis was carried out using non-parametric statistical tests and the Wilcoxon signed-rank test, which resulted in an Asymp value. Sig was 0.042 (p < 0.05). These results indicate a significant difference between pre-test and post-test scores. Thus, it can be concluded that applying cyber counselling services with reframing techniques can increase students' self-openness.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengetahui pengaruh Layanan informasi pendekataan kooperatif learning dalam peningkatan  kepercaya diri siswa yang memiliki second account media sosial. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Tebing Tinggi kelas X. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teknik tes. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment. Sebelum data di analisis, dilakukan uji prasyarat yaitu uji normalitas dan uji homogenitas. Setelah dilakukan perhitungan didapat bahwa data kedua kelompok berdistribusi normal dan homogen. Pengujian hipotesis dengan menggunakan uji-t diperoleh didapat nilai Sig. (P-value) ≤ 0,05 yaitu 0,000 = 0,000 ≤ 0,05 maka H0 ditolak, berarti ada pengaruh layanan informasi pendekataan cooperative learningdalam meningkatkan rasa percaya diri siswa.

Abstract

This study aimed to test the effectiveness of group counseling services using the ABCDE technique in increasing positive self-acceptance in mothers who had children with special needs (ABK). The research method used a quantitative approach with a non-equivalent group pretest-posttest control design. The subjects consisted of 12 mothers, 6 in the experimental group and 6 in the control group. The pre-test results showed that all participants were in the moderate category (100%). After the intervention, all members of the experimental group moved to the high category (100%), while the control group remained in the moderate category (100%). The Wilcoxon test produced a Z value of -2.207 with a significance level of 0.027 (p < 0.05), indicating a significant difference between the pre-test and post-test scores in the experimental group. These findings indicated that the ABCDE technique was effective in helping parents manage emotions and develop positive self-acceptance regarding the condition of their children with special needs. This intervention could be used as an alternative group-based psychological support method in the context of special education.
