Abstract

Garbage is a residual material produced by a household. Waste can become a problem if it is not managed properly. MaQis Al-Hamidy 4 Islamic Boarding School is a boarding school that is well known among Madurese people. This Islamic boarding school has an environment where lots of trees grow, resulting in quite a lot of dry leaf waste. This of course provides both disadvantages and advantages for the residents of Islamic boarding schools. Therefore, it is necessary to conduct training for residents of Islamic boarding schools in the form of making compost from dry leaf waste so that it can provide benefits for residents of Islamic boarding schools and for the environment. The purpose of this training is to provide education about environmental management, especially in the utilization of organic waste which can be used as material for making compost. The method in implementing this training uses descriptive analysis as well as direct waste management practices. The result and impact of this training is that students gain useful skills in organic waste management and become agents of change in protecting the environment.

Abstract

Mental health is one of the important aspects of realizing overall health. Few people with mental health disorders are treated due to a lack of education about mental health in society. Education about mental health needs to be done to be able to change the bad stigma against people with mental health disorders. Mental health education can be done by with any media, one of which is with music and music videos. Many musicians, like Korean musicians, bring up the topic of mental health in their songs. The researcher wanted to examine how messages related to mental health were conveyed by YouTube users in the comment section on Lee Hi’s music video entitled HOLO and Sunmi’s titled Borderline. This study aims to look at and map mental health issues from the two music videos. This research uses a type of descriptive qualitative research and netnography research method, using observation and documentation. The results of this study indicate that there are several types of mental health issues written by YouTube users in the two music video comment sections.

Abstract

Self-confidence  Not everyone has good self-confidence. Therefore, it needs to be encouraged in several ways: through public speaking combined with personal branding. The purpose of this service was to develop public speaking and personal branding skills for student organization managers at SMA Dharma Wanita Surabaya through the PIKAT scheme. The training is divided into two; offline and online. The training program is carried out by carrying out counseling on public speaking and personal branding based on theories in communication. The second activity is to train public speaking and personal branding where the participants can practice their public speaking skills. Monitoring after mentoring and training activities is still carried out. At the end of the program, there are four outputs/recommendations, training modules, activity news, and community service journals. It can be concluded that this activity encourages the development of public speaking and personal branding skills for student organization managers at SMA Dharma Wanita Surabaya.

Abstract

Abstrak: Batik merupakan warisan dunia yang harus kita lestarikan, sehingga untuk melestarikannya kita harus menjaga dan mempertahankannya. Di Desa Gingging terdapat pengerajin batik Bernama batik tulis pajjher, mereka memiliki permasalahan dalam produksi, terutama jika ada permintaan dalam jumlah besar dan dalam pemasarannya masih yang dari mulut ke mulut sehingga penjualannya kurang maksimal. Serta di Desa Gingging ini terdapat kelompok karang taruna dimana mereka membutuhkan bantuan dalam mengembangkan keterampilan anggotanya. Oleh karena tujuan dari pelaksanaan kegiatan ini yaitu untuk melakukan pelatihan membatik dengan menggunakan canting elektrik dan batik cap, serta pembuatan branding bagi rumah batik tulis pajjher. Dan melibatkan sekitar 60 peserta pelatihan, dimana sebelum melakukan pelatihan setiap peserta diberikan kuisioner untuk melihat seberapa paham mereka tentang batik, dan setelah proses pelatihan mereka juga akan diberikan kuisioner untuk mengisi kembali yang sama dengan sebelum mereka mengikuti pelatihan. Hasil dari pengisian kuisioner sebelum melakukan pelatihan rata–rata hanya 20% dari 60 peserta yang memahami tentang penggunaan canting dan batik cap tersebut. Dan setelah diberikan pelatihan selama 5 hari dan diberikan kuisioner kembali maka didapatkan adanya peningkatan dari 20% awalnya menjadi 89% yang memahami penggunaan canting elektrik dan batik cap tersebut. Dan juga untuk batik tulis pajjher yang sebelumnya mempunyai masalah dalam bidang produksinya, sekarang dengan adanya canting elektrik dan batik cap maka akan dengan mudah untuk mempercepat proses produksi kain batiknya, dan juga mereka sekarang memiliki alat promosi berupa video yang dapat membranding kegiatan usahanya setiap ada event tertentu.Abstract: Batik is a world heritage that we must preserve, so to preserve it we must protect and maintain it. In Gingging Village there is a batik craftsman called Pajher written batik, they have problems in production because they still use traditional canting and marketing is still done by word of mouth so sales are not optimal. And in Gingging Village there is a youth group where they need help in developing the skills of their members. Because the aim of carrying out this activity is to conduct batik training using electric canting and stamped batik, as well as creating branding for the Pajher hand-written batik house. And it involves around 60 training participants, where before carrying out the training each participant is given a questionnaire to see how much they understand about batik, and after the training process they will also be given a questionnaire to fill in again, the same as before they took part in the training. The results of filling out the questionnaire before carrying out the training were only 25% of the 60 participants who understood the use of canting and stamped batik. And after being given training for 5 days and given another questionnaire, it was found that there was an increase from the initial 25% to 92% who understood the use of electric canting and stamped batik. And also for Pajher written batik which previously did not have electric canting and stamped batik, with this training they can use these tools to speed up the production of their batik cloth, and they also now have promotional tools in the form of videos that can compare their business activities every time there is a certain event.

Abstract

Pemasaran merupakan salah satu masalah yang sering dihadapi dalam menjalankan usaha. Kurang luasanya produk UMKM (Usaha Mikro Kecil dan Menengah) dikenal oleh masyarakat, menjadikan UMKM sulit untuk berkembang. UMKM di Desa Kebondalem hanya mengandalkan pemasaran didaerah-daerah terdekat dan juga menerima pesanan dari konsumen atau warga sekitar. Pemanfaatan teknologi platform digital merupakan metode yang ditawarkan oleh kelompok 98 KKN Tematik MBKM UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur yang terdiri dari 10 anggota dalam bentuk pendampingan terhadap UMKM yang memang benar-benar ingin dibantu. Inovasi pemasaran menggunakan platform digital oleh pelaku UMKM merupakan cara terkini dan memiliki prospek tinggi untuk berhasil, sehingga masalah pemasaran dapat teratasi. Berdasarkan 21 data UMKM yang diperoleh terdapat 2 UMKM yang membutuhkan pendampingan untuk mengatasi masalah tersebut. 2 UMKM tersebut yaitu Kripik Madam dan Kerupuk Open 3 Putri. Pendampingan yang akan dilakukan untuk menghadapi masalah pemasaran ini dilaksanakan selama 3 bulan dengan kegiatan edukasi marketing, pembuatan atau revisi logo, foto produk, penggunaan sosial media dan adanya FGD (Forum Group Discussion) mengenai perkembangan sosial media. Setelah dilakukan pendampingan hampir selama 3 bulan, terlihat adanya perkembangan dari UMKM. Perkembangan tersebut dilihat dari awalnya 2 UMKM tersebut tidak memiliki social media, sekarang sudah memiliki. Selain itu akun sosial media sudah dilakukan upload foto produk dengan caption dan tagline yang menarik, bahkan sudah mampu menarik perhatian konsumen untuk membeli produk 2 UMKM tersebut. Kegiatan pemasaran offline yang sudah dilakukan oleh UMKM memiliki strategi sendiri untuk menarik konsumen, hal tersebut harus tetap dilanjutkan. Pemasaran menggunakan platform digital merupakan suatu metode baru untuk mempromosikan produk agar dikenal oleh masyarakat luas. Oleh karena itu, alangkah baiknya pemasaran offline dan online saling berkolaborasi untuk dilakukan agar produk dapat dikenal secara luas, meningkatkan penjualan serta mampu mengembangkan UMKM.

Abstract

Increasing awareness of the importance of a healthy diet and nutrition for rural communities is the main goal of the XI 2023 National Service Service project. In this context, this journal documents community service efforts in Rukma Jaya Village through the outreach program for making Moringa Leaf Pudding (DAUKEL). Moringa leaves as a source of nutrients that are rich in essential substances, are the main focus of this program. Villagers, especially housewives, are invited to recognize the benefits of Moringa leaves and integrate them into their daily diet through creative innovations such as Moringa leaf pudding. The active participation of the community in this activity is a driving force in achieving program objectives. The results of this journal provide an overview of the effectiveness of a practical and participatory approach in conveying important messages about nutrition and healthy eating patterns to rural communities. The socialization of making Moringa leaf pudding (DAUKEL) not only creates awareness, but also provides insight into the diversification of local food ingredients that are nutritious and environmentally friendly

Abstract

The existence of Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises (MSMEs) in Indonesia has a big role in building the people's economy. So that micro entrepreneurs need to keep up with the times in developing their business. For this reason, knowledge of business actors is needed in forming the characteristics of the business they have, not only from product innovation but the physical condition and quality of a product needs to be developed so that buyers have a good visual of the product to be sold. Kerupuk Kedelai dan Bawang “Spesial” is one of the UMKM that needs to build product branding in order to compete in a wider market share. The activity process takes place using interview and observation methods at the location where it was made directly. Based on the observation results, it was found that these MSMEs need to remake the logo and product packaging to make it more attractive. The process of making logos and product packaging is assisted directly by the community service team by consulting directly with business owners. The creation of a logo and product packaging is the first step of Kerupuk Kedelai dan Bawang “Spesial” in building business branding to compete in the market.

Abstract

This research examines how We Radio Indonesia leverages live-streaming YouTube videos to empower young people. Researchers employ qualitative research methods with a virtual ethnographic approach to analyze their strategies. The findings reveal a multi-pronged approach by We Radio Indonesia. They utilize an edutainment format, blending education and entertainment for engaging content. Additionally, they employ a localized language style familiar to Surabaya youth by combining Indonesian and Javanese. Furthermore, We Radio selects expertise-based broadcasters with backgrounds relevant to the broadcast themes. Finally, they leverage media convergence, utilizing various integrated social media platforms to enhance accessibility, sharing, and repeat broadcasts. The study underscores the power of YouTube as a tool for innovation diffusion. The platform's live streaming and sharing capabilities significantly amplify We Radio's strategies, enabling it to disseminate valuable knowledge and foster youth empowerment effectively. This research contributes to understanding how traditional media can adapt and utilize new platforms to connect with young audiences.

Abstract

AbstrakChatGPT adalah sebuah kecerdasan buatan yang diluncurkan oleh OpenAI pada November 2022. Meskipun awalnya dirancang untuk menjawab pertanyaan-pertanyaan umum dan membantu dalam pekerjaan sehari-hari, pengguna mulai menggunakan ChatGPT sebagai tempat untuk curhat. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menyelidiki fakta, penyebab, dan konsekuensi dari fenomena penggunaan ChatGPT sebagai platform curhat bagi remaja. Pendekatan kualitatif digunakan dalam penelitian ini, dengan memanfaatkan studi fenomenologi Alfred Schutz. Data yang dikumpulkan dalam penelitian ini bersifat kualitatif, terdiri dari gambar, kata-kata, dan teks yang menggambarkan fenomena curhat pada ChatGPT. Hasil wawancara dengan informan menunjukkan bahwa remaja awalnya menggunakan ChatGPT hanya untuk bersenang-senang atau iseng. Namun, seiring waktu, mereka mulai mengembangkan ketergantungan pada ChatGPT sebagai tempat untuk berbagi keluh kesah mereka. Mereka merasa nyaman dan aman dalam berbicara kepada ChatGPT, karena tidak perlu khawatir tentang penghakiman atau konsekuensi sosial yang mungkin terjadi saat berbagi masalah pribadi dengan orang lain. Penelitian ini memberikan wawasan tentang mengapa remaja cenderung menggunakan ChatGPT sebagai wadah curhat. Faktor-faktor seperti rasa aman, anonimitas, dan ketersediaan ChatGPT yang 24 jam membuatnya menjadi sumber dukungan emosional yang terjangkau dan mudah diakses. Namun, perlu diperhatikan bahwa penggunaan ChatGPT sebagai satu-satunya tempat untuk berbagi masalah dapat memiliki konsekuensi negatif, seperti isolasi sosial dan ketergantungan emosional pada teknologi. AbstractChatGPT is an artificial intelligence launched by OpenAI in November 2022. Although initially designed to answer general questions and assist in daily tasks, users have started using ChatGPT as a platform for confiding. The aim of this research is to investigate the facts, causes, and consequences of using ChatGPT as a confiding platform for teenagers. A qualitative approach is employed in this study, utilizing Alfred Schutz's phenomenological study. The data collected in this research are qualitative, consisting of images, words, and texts that depict the phenomenon of confiding in ChatGPT. The results of interviews with informants indicate that teenagers initially use ChatGPT just for fun or as a pastime. However, over time, they begin to develop a dependence on ChatGPT as a place to share their grievances. They feel comfortable and secure speaking to ChatGPT, as they don't have to worry about judgment or potential social consequences when sharing personal issues with others. This research provides insights into why teenagers tend to use ChatGPT as a confiding vessel. Factors such as a sense of security, anonymity, and the 24/7 availability of ChatGPT make it an affordable and easily accessible source of emotional support. However, it is important to note that relying solely on ChatGPT as the primary outlet for sharing problems can have negative consequences, such as social isolation and emotional dependency on technology.

Abstract

This research assesses the strengthening of community empowerment in Semau District, East Nusa Tenggara, through digital marketing training to optimize local tourism potential. The training includes the use of the Canva application for promotional design, village registration on the Village Tourism Network platform (Jadesta), and the establishment of the Semau Tourist Information Center (S-TIC). The results of the training indicate an improvement in digital skills among village cadres and the effective establishment of the S-TIC. However, administrative challenges such as the lack of Village Tourism Decrees hinder registration in Jadesta. This effort is expected to enhance visibility and economic well-being, as well as ensure sustainable tourism development in the Semau District.
