Abstract

Abstrak: Akses terhadap air bersih sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup, khususnya di pedesaan Indonesia. Desa Kedungjambe, Tuban, menghadapi tantangan yang signifikan dalam pendistribusian air bersih karena kandungan kapur yang tinggi dalam air tanah, yang berkontribusi terhadap risiko kesehatan seperti stunting. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akses air bersih, mendukung pencegahan stunting, dan memberdayakan masyarakat dengan meningkatkan keterampilan teknis. Program ini meliputi pendidikan kesehatan, pengembangan dan implementasi Prototipe Mesin Pengisian Botol Paralel hemat energi, dan pelatihan untuk pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan. Sebanyak 25 peserta, termasuk perangkat desa, guru, operator mesin, santri dan kader kesehatan, terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner dan praktik mengungkapkan peningkatan 80% dalam soft skills, seperti kesadaran akan pentingnya air bersih dan stunting, dan peningkatan 90% dalam hard skills, khususnya dalam pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan mesin. Prakarsa ini secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan masyarakat dan efisiensi distribusi air bersih, sejalan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan 6. Prototipe ini menunjukkan potensi replikasi di daerah pedesaan lainnya, berkontribusi pada upaya nasional dalam mengatasi tantangan akses air dan mengurangi prevalensi stunting.Abstract: Access to clean water is fundamental in improving the quality of life, especially in rural Indonesia. Kedungjambe Village, Tuban, has considerable problems with the distribution of clean water due to its groundwater having high levels of lime, contributing to health risks such as stunting. This community service program aimed to enhance clean water access, support stunting prevention, and empower communities by improving technical and interpersonal skills. The program comprised health education, the development and implementation of a low-energy Prototype Parallel Bottle Filling Machine, and training for operation and maintenance. A total of 25 participants, including village managers, machine operators, student (santri) and health cadres, engaged in the activities. The methods included lectures, hands-on training, and participatory sessions. Evaluation using questionnaires and interviews revealed an 85% increase in soft skills, such as awareness of the importance of clean water, and a 90% increase in hard skills, particularly in machine operation and maintenance. This initiative significantly improved community health knowledge and the efficiency of clean water distribution, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6. The prototype shows potential for replication in other rural areas, contributing to national efforts to address water access challenges and reduce stunting prevalence.

Abstract

This study explores the role of development communication in fostering stakeholder engagement in Arjowinangun Village’s batik tourism initiatives..Researchers aim to position the village as a central hub for batik tulis and establish Woro Srikandi as a leading brand in Pacitan Regency. Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach within development communication, the team gathered data through participant observation, FGDs, and analysis of key documents, including 2023 village data and the RPJMDes (2019-2023). Twelve key informants contributed insights, including village officials, community leaders, youth, artisans, business owners, and government representatives. The study identifies three significant outcomes: (1) the successful integration of batik tulis into the village’s development plan by the local government and Bumdes, (2) the establishment of Woro Srikandi batik tulis as an educational tourism destination, and (3) increased tourism awareness among residents, which has fostered the growth of a creative economy that supports the batik tulis tourism initiative. The findings highlight that development communication serves as a strategic tool for building inclusive discourse, enhancing participation, and cultivating community identity. These insights are crucial for promoting sustainable tourism and the creative economy in rural areas.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that influence teenager women Muslims (muslimah) of K-Pop fans' behavior in Surabaya regarding impulsive buying, the role of Twitter in eliciting their impulsive buying behavior, and to comprehend their under­standing about the impact of impulsive buying as well. Using a virtual ethnographic approach, the findings have revealed that that impulsive buying behavior was influenced by friendship and the convenience facilities provided by Twitter related to informa­tion and promotions about K-Pop merchandise. This gave rise to a new culture of impulsive buying. However, teenager Muslim women of K-Pop fans are actually aware that impulsive buying behavior violates religious norms. Therefore, their behavior in purchasing K-Pop merchandise is based on rational choices.

Abstract

This article examines how the pattern of mediamorfosis of Nada FM Radio Sumenep, particularly in regard to the integration between Islamic preaching programs and Madura cultural programs as well as the form of interaction between listeners and radio institutions within a networked society. This article resulted from qualitative research using virtual ethnography. The findings revealed that the pattern of mediamorfosis using streaming, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Second, making the program aimed at strengthening Islamic religious beliefs while maintaining Madura culture. Third, connectivity in a networked society makes the communication of the parties equal, intimate and open to the public. Forth, listeners prefer to use WhatsApp to express criticism, including with regard to the suitability of the da'wah theme and the choice of social media.

Abstract

The Local Biz Day program is a community service initiative aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ngagel Village, Surabaya. This activity includes product innovation training, digital marketing strategies, and an MSME stand design exhibition as a form of capacity building for local businesses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS analysis methods to evaluate the program's effectiveness. The analysis results indicate that the program is pursuing a growth-oriented strategy, with strengths and opportunities more dominant than weaknesses and threats. In addition to increasing MSME competitiveness, this program also supports the achievement of SDGs points 4, 8, 9, and 11 through an educational, innovative, and participatory approach.

Abstract

Abstract: Batik Woro Srikandi, a traditional batik producer in Arjowinangun, Pacitan, faces significant challenges in digital marketing. This issue stems from a lack of professional promotional media and an underdeveloped visual identity, hindering the product's ability to compete in an increasingly competitive market. To address these constraints, the community service team designed an initiative comprising several methodological stages: (1) conducting a needs analysis of the partner through observation and interviews; (2) implementing training sessions on product photography and design; and (3) facilitating participatory mentorship for the local artisans in catalog production and visual identity development. The primary outcome of this project was the successful creation of a professional product catalog that features a consistent brand visual identity. This catalog is designed to strengthen brand identity, expand market reach, and provide a competitive advantage for Batik Woro Srikandi. It is anticipated that this catalog will not only enhance customer engagement and sales but also contribute to the long-term sustainability of Pacitan's traditional batik art. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang dengan tahapan metode yang terdiri dari: (1) Analisis kebutuhan mitra melalui observasi dan wawancara; (2) Pelaksanaan pelatihan fotografi produk dan desain; serta (3) Pendampingan dalam pembuatan katalog dan pengembangan identitas visual yang dilakukan secara partisipatif bersama perajin. Capaian utama dari kegiatan ini adalah terwujudnya sebuah katalog produk profesional yang memuat identitas visual merek yang konsisten. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperkuat brand identity, memperluas jangkauan pasar, dan memberikan keunggulan kompetitif bagi Batik Woro Srikandi. Diharapkan, katalog ini tidak hanya meningkatkan keterlibatan pelanggan dan penjualan, tetapi juga mendukung keberlanjutan seni batik tradisional Pacitan dalam jangka panjang. Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis variasi interaksi virtual yang dilakukan oleh akun penggemar anonim (NCTzen) di platform media sosial Twitter, yang sekarang dikenal sebagai X. Fenomena anonimitas dalam fandom disorot karena memungkinkan pengguna untuk membangun identitas daring yang terputus dari identitas kehidupan nyata mereka, menciptakan ruang yang unik dan dinamis untuk interaksi sosial. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode netnografi virtual untuk menggambarkan motivasi di balik anonimitas, bentuk komunikasi, jenis aktivitas daring, dan karakteristik pesan yang dibagikan di antara NCTzen. Data dikumpulkan melalui observasi partisipatif, dokumentasi, dan wawancara mendalam dengan lima akun penggemar anonim NCTzen di X. Temuan menunjukkan bahwa anonimitas digunakan sebagai strategi untuk membangun persona daring yang lebih bebas, lebih aman, dan lebih ekspresif. Variasi interaksi tersebut meliputi bentuk komunikasi seperti kutipan, balasan, pesan langsung, lelucon penggemar, dan penggunaan simbol khusus fandom. Anonimitas memberikan kebebasan berekspresi yang lebih besar, memperkuat solidaritas komunitas, dan memperluas partisipasi penggemar dalam budaya fandom digital. Studi ini menyimpulkan bahwa interaksi virtual dalam komunitas penggemar anonim tidak hanya informatif dan ekspresif, tetapi juga menumbuhkan ikatan emosional. Temuan ini berkontribusi pada studi yang lebih luas tentang komunikasi digital, anonimitas, dan budaya fandom di era media sosial.

Abstract

This study investigates the use of sarcastic language by Mobile Legends players in the Team RRQ Official Discord community and its effects on social interaction. Employing a qualitative virtual ethnography method, data were gathered through participant observation and in-depth interviews with eight active members. The study applies Gorys Keraf’s theory of sarcasm and Johanna Maren Hjelle Olsen Olsen’s indicators such as self-contradiction, hyperbolic combinations, sentimental contradiction, and manner violation. A total of 41 sarcastic utterances were found, dominated by irony over mockery. Sarcasm was used to express critique, disappointment, or humor, but also triggered emotional tension and conflict. The findings reveal that sarcasm is not merely spontaneous expression, but a deliberate communicative strategy within competitive virtual communities.

Abstract

Indonesia is a maritime and archipelagic country surrounded by seas. As a maritime country, Indonesia has relied on its natural resources from the seas for years. It is also rich in marine resources such as fish, seaweed, shells, and other seafood that become essential trade commodities. This situation makes speedboat as one of the essential things in processing marine resources. It then boosts the establishment of speedboat companies in Indonesia, one of which is PT 4S Marine, located in Sidoarjo. The company started its production in 2016. It produces speedboats, boat fiber, speedboat aluminum, marine equipment, and wooden boats. This company has already received many orders from around Indonesia, and this makes the documents needed are still written in Bahasa Indonesia. However, when the company buys equipment from other countries, it requires filling out some documents written in English. Therefore, the staff in the company needs to learn more about reading and writing documents in English. Besides, the staff also needs to master the communication skills in English. As they also need to communicate with the sellers from other countries. This reason then initiates the community service program held by PIKAT (Pemanfaatan IPTEKS Bagi Masyarakat) of UPN “Veteran” Jawa Timur. From the program that had been run for one month, the team had successfully identified the problems of the staff, especially in writing and speaking in English, and gave the staff training both online and offline. The program continues via the Whatsapp group. In the future, it is expected that the company staff can use English in written and spoken form more fluently so that the company can reach the international market and sell more products to other countries.

Abstract

Penelitian ini berfokus pada strategi promosi bengkel otomotif Autoconcept melalui media sosial instagram yang menggunakan analisis netnografi. Topik ini menarik untuk diteliti karena media sosial Instagram menjadi salah satu media yang krusial dan berperan penting sebagai media promosi. Bengkel AutoConcept menggunakan fitur-fitur di dalam Instagram sebagai media untuk melakukan promosi sekaligus personal branding atas produk dan jasa yang ditawarkannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode penelitian netnografi dan tipe penelitian deskriptif, serta tinjauan pustaka mengenai strategi promosi dan personal branding. Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah paparan berbagai strategi yang dilakukan oleh bengkel AutoConcept dalam mempromosikan barang dan jasa nya melalui Instagram. Selain itu, evaluasi terhadap strategi marketing bengkel AutoConcept di media sosial Instagram juga berdampak terhadap hasil dan fluktuasi penjualan dari tahun ke tahun.
