Abstract

Techno Water, mesin pengolah air yang terpasang di Pasar Wage, telah menyelesaikan permasalahan air baku berkadar kapur tinggi di Desa Saringembat. Sebagai tindak lanjutnya, UPN Veteran Jawa Timur melakukan rancang bangun prototipe mesin pengemas galon semi kontinu. Pelaksanakan kegiatan menggunakan metode (1) penyuluhan pentingnya air minum sehat untuk pencegahan stunting, (2) rancang bangun prototipe mesin pengemas air galon semi kontinu, dan (3) pelatihan pengoperasian dan perawatan teknologi. Prototipe mesin pengemas galon semi kontinu berfungsi untuk membersihkan, mengisi, dan menyegel galon terstandar. Prototipe ini sesuai dengan topik penelitian bidang rekayasa teknologi terkait penanganan dan pengemasan produk pangan (air minum) dan mendukung Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan (SDGs) dengan fokus pada tujuan 6 (Air Bersih dan Sanitasi). Keberadaan prototipe pengemas galon semi kontinu dengan dukungan program pengabdian kepada masyarakat menjadi solusi untuk memperluas akses air minum sehat yang terjangkau bagi seluruh warga Desa Saringembat.

Abstract

Abstrak: Akses terhadap air bersih sangat penting untuk meningkatkan kualitas hidup, khususnya di pedesaan Indonesia. Desa Kedungjambe, Tuban, menghadapi tantangan yang signifikan dalam pendistribusian air bersih karena kandungan kapur yang tinggi dalam air tanah, yang berkontribusi terhadap risiko kesehatan seperti stunting. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan akses air bersih, mendukung pencegahan stunting, dan memberdayakan masyarakat dengan meningkatkan keterampilan teknis. Program ini meliputi pendidikan kesehatan, pengembangan dan implementasi Prototipe Mesin Pengisian Botol Paralel hemat energi, dan pelatihan untuk pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan. Sebanyak 25 peserta, termasuk perangkat desa, guru, operator mesin, santri dan kader kesehatan, terlibat dalam kegiatan tersebut. Metode yang digunakan meliputi ceramah, pelatihan, dan praktik langsung. Evaluasi menggunakan kuesioner dan praktik mengungkapkan peningkatan 80% dalam soft skills, seperti kesadaran akan pentingnya air bersih dan stunting, dan peningkatan 90% dalam hard skills, khususnya dalam pengoperasian dan pemeliharaan mesin. Prakarsa ini secara signifikan meningkatkan pengetahuan kesehatan masyarakat dan efisiensi distribusi air bersih, sejalan dengan Tujuan Pembangunan Berkelanjutan 6. Prototipe ini menunjukkan potensi replikasi di daerah pedesaan lainnya, berkontribusi pada upaya nasional dalam mengatasi tantangan akses air dan mengurangi prevalensi stunting.Abstract: Access to clean water is fundamental in improving the quality of life, especially in rural Indonesia. Kedungjambe Village, Tuban, has considerable problems with the distribution of clean water due to its groundwater having high levels of lime, contributing to health risks such as stunting. This community service program aimed to enhance clean water access, support stunting prevention, and empower communities by improving technical and interpersonal skills. The program comprised health education, the development and implementation of a low-energy Prototype Parallel Bottle Filling Machine, and training for operation and maintenance. A total of 25 participants, including village managers, machine operators, student (santri) and health cadres, engaged in the activities. The methods included lectures, hands-on training, and participatory sessions. Evaluation using questionnaires and interviews revealed an 85% increase in soft skills, such as awareness of the importance of clean water, and a 90% increase in hard skills, particularly in machine operation and maintenance. This initiative significantly improved community health knowledge and the efficiency of clean water distribution, which aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 6. The prototype shows potential for replication in other rural areas, contributing to national efforts to address water access challenges and reduce stunting prevalence.

Abstract

Coffee is a leading commodity in Jombang Regency. One of these coffee varieties is Excelsa Coffee. The main obstacle for coffee farmers and traders in Sumberjo Village is the processing of excelsa coffee which is quite complicated. The Grant Program for Application of Research Results for the Community (PIHAT) aims to foster community groups KOPI GUNUNG in Sumberjo Village, Wonosalam District, Jombang Regency to have knowledge and skills in coffee plant care and digital marketing. The results of the identification of the problem of Pokmas KOPI GUNUNG as a partner, the PIHAT team provides solutions in the form of a) Increasing knowledge and skills in caring for coffee plants, b) Improving the quality of new labels and packaging, c) Creating Instagram accounts and making marketing support profile videos, and d) Digital marketing training. After partners gain knowledge and skills in caring for coffee plants, knowledge of digital marketing skills, and producing coffee product packaging, the goal of implementing this PIHAT program is to increase sales of coffee products from the KOPI GUNUNG community group with the brand and packaging "Cakra Dewa." In addition to articles in community service journals, PIHAT's outputs are the Profile Video, news, and Instagram accounts. Kopi merupakan komoditas unggulan Kabupaten Jombang. Salah satu varietas kopi tersebut adalah Kopi Excelsa. Kendala utama bagi petani dan pedagang kopi di Desa Sumberjo adalah perawatan kopi excelsa yang cukup rumit. Program Hibah Penerapan Hasil Penelitian Bagi Masyarakat (PIHAT) bertujuan untuk membina kelompok masyarakat KOPI GUNUNG di Desa Sumberjo, Kecamatan Wonosalam, Kabupaten Jombang agar memiliki pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam perawatan tanaman kopi dan pemasaran digital. Hasil identifikasi masalah Pokmas KOPI GUNUNG sebagai mitra, maka tim PIHAT memberikan solusi berupa: a) Meningkatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam merawat tanaman kopi, b) Meningkatkan kualitas label dan kemasan baru, c) Membuat akun Instagram dan membuat video profil penunjang pemasaran, dan d) Pelatihan pemasaran digital. Setelah mitra mendapatkan pengetahuan dan keterampilan dalam merawat tanaman kopi, pengetahuan keterampilan digital marketing, dan memproduksi kemasan produk kopi, maka sasaran akhir dari pelaksanaan program PIHAT ini adalah meningkatkan penjualan produk kopi dari kelompok masyarakat KOPI GUNUNG dengan brand dan kemasan “Cakra Dewa.” Selain artikel pada jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat, luaran PIHAT ini adalah Video Profil, Berita, dan akun Instagram.

Abstract

Tujuan dari program Bakti Inovasi bagi Masyarakat (BIMA) ini untuk mentransferkan pengetahuan dan teknologi kepada mitra Usaha Mikro Kecil Menengah (UMKM) di Desa Tasikmadu, yaitu UD Sumber Rejeki. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan melalui penyuluhan, pelatihan, dan pendampingan. Tim pelaksana menyebarkan kuesioner dan melakukan wawancara kepada pelaku UMKM di Desa Tasikmadu. Sementara Focus Group Discussion khusus pada UD Sumber Rejeki sebagai mitra untuk mengurai permasalahan. Kegiatan BIMA ini memiliki Tingkat Kesiapterapan Teknologi (TKT) level 5 yang memiliki dasar penelitian sebelumnya tentang produk pangan olahan berbasis ikan dan pendampingan UMKM di Kabupaten Trenggalek. Hasil transfer pengetahuan melalui penyuluhan berhasil meningkatkan pemahaman tentang kualitas bahan baku, resep sehat, variasi cita rasa, pentingnya digital marketing, dan kepemilikan legalitas usaha. Hasil alih teknologi berupa aplikasi pemasaran digital, perbaikan label, kemasan produk baru, dan hibah mesin pendingin berdampak pada peningkatan kualitas produk pangan olahan, perluasan jaringan pemasaran, peningkatan angka penjualan produk, dan meningkatkan kapasitas produksi. The purpose of the Bakti Innovation for Community (BIMA) program is to transfer knowledge and technology to Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) partners in Tasikmadu Village, namely UD Sumber Rejeki. The method of implementing activities is through counseling, training, and mentoring. The implementation team distributed questionnaires and conducted interviews with SMEs in Tasikmadu Village. Meanwhile, a Focus Group Discussion was held with UD Sumber Rejeki's members to solve problems. This BIMA activity has a Technology Readiness Level (TKT) level 5, which has the basis of previous research on fish-based processed food products and mentoring MSMEs in the Trenggalek Regency. The results of knowledge transfer through counseling have succeeded in increasing understanding of the quality of raw materials, healthy recipes, variety of flavors, the importance of digital marketing, and ownership of business legality. The results of technology transfer in the form of digital marketing applications, improved labels, new product packaging, and refrigeration machine grants have an impact on improving the quality of processed food products, expanding marketing networks, increasing product sales figures, and increasing production capacity.

Abstract

This study explores the role of development communication in fostering stakeholder engagement in Arjowinangun Village’s batik tourism initiatives..Researchers aim to position the village as a central hub for batik tulis and establish Woro Srikandi as a leading brand in Pacitan Regency. Using a qualitative, phenomenological approach within development communication, the team gathered data through participant observation, FGDs, and analysis of key documents, including 2023 village data and the RPJMDes (2019-2023). Twelve key informants contributed insights, including village officials, community leaders, youth, artisans, business owners, and government representatives. The study identifies three significant outcomes: (1) the successful integration of batik tulis into the village’s development plan by the local government and Bumdes, (2) the establishment of Woro Srikandi batik tulis as an educational tourism destination, and (3) increased tourism awareness among residents, which has fostered the growth of a creative economy that supports the batik tulis tourism initiative. The findings highlight that development communication serves as a strategic tool for building inclusive discourse, enhancing participation, and cultivating community identity. These insights are crucial for promoting sustainable tourism and the creative economy in rural areas.

Abstract

This study examines the factors that influence teenager women Muslims (muslimah) of K-Pop fans' behavior in Surabaya regarding impulsive buying, the role of Twitter in eliciting their impulsive buying behavior, and to comprehend their under­standing about the impact of impulsive buying as well. Using a virtual ethnographic approach, the findings have revealed that that impulsive buying behavior was influenced by friendship and the convenience facilities provided by Twitter related to informa­tion and promotions about K-Pop merchandise. This gave rise to a new culture of impulsive buying. However, teenager Muslim women of K-Pop fans are actually aware that impulsive buying behavior violates religious norms. Therefore, their behavior in purchasing K-Pop merchandise is based on rational choices.

Abstract

This article examines how the pattern of mediamorfosis of Nada FM Radio Sumenep, particularly in regard to the integration between Islamic preaching programs and Madura cultural programs as well as the form of interaction between listeners and radio institutions within a networked society. This article resulted from qualitative research using virtual ethnography. The findings revealed that the pattern of mediamorfosis using streaming, Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and WhatsApp. Second, making the program aimed at strengthening Islamic religious beliefs while maintaining Madura culture. Third, connectivity in a networked society makes the communication of the parties equal, intimate and open to the public. Forth, listeners prefer to use WhatsApp to express criticism, including with regard to the suitability of the da'wah theme and the choice of social media.

Abstract

The Local Biz Day program is a community service initiative aimed at empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Ngagel Village, Surabaya. This activity includes product innovation training, digital marketing strategies, and an MSME stand design exhibition as a form of capacity building for local businesses. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach with SWOT, IFAS, and EFAS analysis methods to evaluate the program's effectiveness. The analysis results indicate that the program is pursuing a growth-oriented strategy, with strengths and opportunities more dominant than weaknesses and threats. In addition to increasing MSME competitiveness, this program also supports the achievement of SDGs points 4, 8, 9, and 11 through an educational, innovative, and participatory approach.

Abstract

Abstract: Batik Woro Srikandi, a traditional batik producer in Arjowinangun, Pacitan, faces significant challenges in digital marketing. This issue stems from a lack of professional promotional media and an underdeveloped visual identity, hindering the product's ability to compete in an increasingly competitive market. To address these constraints, the community service team designed an initiative comprising several methodological stages: (1) conducting a needs analysis of the partner through observation and interviews; (2) implementing training sessions on product photography and design; and (3) facilitating participatory mentorship for the local artisans in catalog production and visual identity development. The primary outcome of this project was the successful creation of a professional product catalog that features a consistent brand visual identity. This catalog is designed to strengthen brand identity, expand market reach, and provide a competitive advantage for Batik Woro Srikandi. It is anticipated that this catalog will not only enhance customer engagement and sales but also contribute to the long-term sustainability of Pacitan's traditional batik art. Untuk mengatasi hal ini, kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang dengan tahapan metode yang terdiri dari: (1) Analisis kebutuhan mitra melalui observasi dan wawancara; (2) Pelaksanaan pelatihan fotografi produk dan desain; serta (3) Pendampingan dalam pembuatan katalog dan pengembangan identitas visual yang dilakukan secara partisipatif bersama perajin. Capaian utama dari kegiatan ini adalah terwujudnya sebuah katalog produk profesional yang memuat identitas visual merek yang konsisten. Tujuannya adalah untuk memperkuat brand identity, memperluas jangkauan pasar, dan memberikan keunggulan kompetitif bagi Batik Woro Srikandi. Abstract

This study aims to analyze the emotional representation in the lyrics of Juicy Luicy’s popular songs among Generation Z. Employing Roland Barthes’ semiotic framework and Stuart Hall’s theory of representation, this research explores how emotional meanings are constructed through linguistic and symbolic signs in the lyrics and how Generation Z audiences interpret them based on their social context. The study focuses on four songs: “Lantas”, “Tanpa Tergesa”, “Lampu Kuning”, and “Sialan", selected for their digital popularity and emotional resonance on platforms Spotify and YouTube. The findings reveal that the lyrics represent emotions such as dilemma, regret, uncertainty, and loss through simple diction, visual metaphors, and accessible symbols. These songs deliver emotional depth not only on a literal level but also connotatively, forming cultural myths around love and longing. Generation Z decodes these lyrics through the lens of their personal experiences, treating them as a reflective space for articulating emotional identity. Moreover, the lyrics serve as a medium for managing emotional stress and building social connections through shared empathy. Thus, the study affirms that Juicy Luicy’s lyrics function as a form of emotional communication and cultural representation in the lives of Generation Z.
