Abstract

The formulation of the problem from this research is what is the need for podcasts as a media for learning the visually impaired students? The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for podcasts as learning media for visually impaired students and their benefits for developing podcasts as learning media for visually impaired students. The research method is quantitative and qualitative, namely in the form of a list of tables that are converted into percentages to calculate how many items in a questionnaire to answer a study. While the qualitative is the elaboration of the quantitative data obtained by the researcher. Data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires. The results of the research and discussion data presented can be concluded that the need for podcasts as a learning medium for the blind is indicated by a percentage of 100% meaning that students need learning media that suits their learning style.

Abstract

Children with cerebral palsy (CP) have eating and drinking difficulties, so caregivers should have knowledge and skills about feeding practice. Education to caregivers about feeding practice aims to support children with CP to be able to eat and drink safely and efficiently. Feeding practice about diet, food consistency, food variety, and appropriate eating and drinking utensils for children with CP can support their functional ability in receiving food and drinks. The method used was the scoping review of articles obtained from PUBMED, Science Direct, and Google Scholar database. The articles obtained were then selected using the article selection diagram. This review focused on feeding practice educational intervention for caregivers to support the eating and drinking ability of children with CP. The results showed that the caregivers’ knowledge and skills in carrying out the feeding practice could increase the safety, time efficiency, and eating and drinking ability of children with CP.

Abstract

Adolescence is a phase of rapid and critical development, necessitating increased energy, protein, vitamin and mineral requirements. However, poor dietary patterns during adolescence pose a risk factor for malnutrition, negatively impacting health into adulthood and, requiring nutritional interventions to break the cycle intergenerational malnutrition. Social media-based nutritional interventions through instagram have the potential to provide health information for adolescents. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the development stages of intervention media and the effectiveness of nutritional education interventions through instagram addressing adolescent nutritional issues. Method: The study follows Arksey and O'Malley framework with PRISMA-ScR systematic review method. Article searches were conducted on Google, Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed and Google Scholar databases using keywords "nutritional education" OR "nutrition-related interventions" AND "Instagram" OR “Instagram-based” AND "adolescent". Inclusion criteria required articles published between 2014 and 2024, involving adolescents aged 10-19 years, written in English or Indonesian, instagram as primary intervention media and employing quantitative and qualitative research designs. Results: Review results indicated interventions lasting an average duration of 2-12 weeks with varying content, although detailed reporting on content development was often lacking. Despite predominantly low intensity, interventions across 12 demonstrated significant improvement in knowledge, attitudes, practices, diet quality, compliance in consuming iron folic acid supplementation (IFAS), waist circumference, physical activity, nutritional intake (energy, protein, carbohydrates), and body image. Nutritional education interventions through instagram showed varying degrees of success among adolescents. Conclusions: Overall, this review highlights the need for the development stages and the importance of considering intervention intensity to enhance the effectiveness of nutritional education interventions through instagram.

Abstract

Pengembangan buku panduan intervensi penanganan temper tantrum pada anak autis dengan pendekatan fisiologis dan spiritual, berdasarkan sabda Rasulullah SAW tentang regulasi emosi telah dikembangkan oleh tim penulis pada 2022. Terkait pengurusan hak cipta, buku panduan memerlukan penyusunan ulang hingga uji kelayakan yang dilakukan menggunakan pendekatan Research and Development (R&D), dengan model ADDIE pada penyempurnaan tahap Design dan Develop, yakni penambahan substansi, perbaikan gambar ilustrasi, penyesuaian tata bahasa, dilanjutkan proses validasi ahli dan calon pengguna, serta uji coba produk. Subjek dalam penelitian ini mencakup validator ahli dan calon pengguna (orang tua dan anak autis). Validasi dilakukan dengan penilaian pada isi, bahasa, dan format. Uji coba menerapkan experiment one group pre-test post-test dengan skala perilaku temper tantrum anak autis selama dua pekan intervensi. Analisis data validasi dengan deskripsi kuantitatif, sementara uji coba dianalisis dengan Paired Sample T-Test terhadap lima calon pengguna. Validasi ahli telah memberikan penilaian mencapai 82 dan dari ketiga calon pengguna didapat skor 85,3. Rerata validasi memperoleh nilai 83,67 (sangat baik), sehingga tidak memerlukan perbaikan. Uji coba kepada calon pengguna menunjukkan penurunan temper tantrum anak autis yang tergambar dalam selisih rerata skor pre-test dan post-test sebesar 6,2 dan sig (2-tailed) sebesar 0,009 (p<0,05). Pada analisis tiap item perilaku diperoleh negative ranks sebesar 10, serta signifikansi bernilai 0,005 (p<0,05). Akhirnya, buku panduan intervensi dinilai layak untuk dijadikan rujukan penanganan temper tantrum anak autis.

Abstract

The highest cause of maternal death in Banyumas Regency, Indonesia in 2022 is preeclampsia during the postpartum period (66.7 percent). However, preeclampsia detection is only carried out if there are symptoms or complaints. Complementary therapies provide a new modality for preventing preeclampsia without having to wait for symptoms to appear. A preliminary study showed that 95.31 percent of midwife who applied complementary therapies had not received training. This research aims to develop a Postnatal Complementary Care Preeclampsia training model for midwives. This research is RnD. Analysis stage with in-depth interviews (6 midwives) and FGD (6 stakeholders). At the Design and Development stage, the training model was prepared and validated by four experts. In the implementation phase, training interventions were carried out on 66 midwives and evaluated using different tests. Results: (1) Analysis: it is necessary to strengthen midwife resources with training to improve the care of preeclampsia postpartum; (2) Design, and create a postnatal complementary care preeclampsia training model; (3) Development, V-Aiken's expert assessment results are in the very high category (mean 0.95) shows the model is valid; (4) Implementation, Independent T-test results show the difference in performance (p-value 0.030 < 0.05), Mann Whitney test results also show the difference in competence (p-value 0.000 < 0.05) which is higher in intervention group, (5) Evaluation, Wilcoxon test results showed (P value 0.006<0.05) the training model was proven to reduce the incidence of preeclampsia in postpartum. The Postnatal Complementary Care Preeclampsia training model is feasible and can be applied as a training guide to improve the competency and performance of midwives to reduce the incidence of postpartum preeclampsia

Abstract

Sexting is sexual behavior related to the use of communication technology. Anxiety attachment is a determining factor because it influences emotion-based social relations regarding sexuality. Therefore, a meta-analysis needs to be conducted to confirm this. The aim of this study was to measure the strength of the correlation between anxiety attachment and sexting by considering the effect size. This meta-analysis involved 36 studies with a total of 17,568 participants. The findings showed a weak correlation between anxious attachment and sexting (r = 0.113; z = 4.816, p < .01; 95% CI [0.06; 0.17]). This same correlation pattern was observed when the assessment was conducted among the general and married people group (r = 0.125; z = 2.757, p < .01; 95% CI [0.04; 0.21]), and the high school and college student group based on their educational level (r = 0.107; z = 4.086, p < .01; 95% CI [0.06; 0.16]). For these three groups, the heterogeneity test showed significant results, indicating a symmetrical distribution of scores based on the results of the funnel test and Egger’s test. The findings also showed no publication bias. In other words, this meta-analysis proves that anxiety attachment is a determining factor but not a strong antecedent of sexting.

Abstract

Kehangatan menjadi salah satu hal yang penting dalam suatu hubungan pertemanan, dengan adanya kehangatan dalam pertemanan seseorang akan lebih mudah dalam bersosialisasi dan menyesuaikan diri. Salah satu hal yang dapat meningkatkan kehangatan dalam pertemanan adalah dengan komunikasi. Komunikasi di era yang modern ini lebih banyak dilakukan melalui smartphone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dengan kehangatan dalam pertemanan pada remaja di Surakarta. Sampling yang digunakan dihitung menggunakan formula Isaac dan Michael dan dilakukan dengan multistage cluster random sampling, didapatkan sample 254 siswa dari populasi yang berjumlah 16.692 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan Skala Kehangatan dalam Pertemanan (reliabilitas Alpha cronbach=0,836) dan Skala Intensitas Penggunaan Komunikasi Bermedia (reliabilitas Alpha cronbach=0,863). Hasil uji hipotesis dengan analisis regresi linier sederhana didapatkan nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,458 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p0,05) dan sumbangan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap varibel tergantung sebesar 21%. Sumbangan pengaruh tiap aspek dari varibel bebas terhadap variabel tergantung antara lain durasi berkomunikasi 9,3%, kedalaman pesan saat berkomunikasi 6,4%, keluasan pesan saat berkomunikasi 3,4% dan frekuensi berkomunikasi 1,9%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dengan kehangatan dalam pertemanan pada remaja di Surakarta. Penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dapat membuat pertemanan menjadi lebih hangat ketika komunikasi yang dilakukan berlangsung dalam waktu yang lama dan bersifat mendalam.Kata kunci: intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia, kehangatan dalam pertemanan Warmth is one of important thing in friendship. Warmth will be easier for someone to socialize and adapt with other. Warmth in friendship can be improved by communication. In this modern era, people often use smartphone to communicate with other. This research aims to find out the relation between intensity of using mediated communication and warmth in friendship on teenagers at Surakarta. Sampling technique use Isaac and Michael’s formulas with multistage cluster random sampling obtained 254 students from 16.692 students of population. Instrument used in this research was Warmth in Friendship Scale (Alpha Cronbach’s reliability=0,836) and Intensity of Using Mediated Communication Scale (Alpha Cronbach’s reliability=0,863). Based on hypothesis test result with simple linear regression showed that value of correlation (R) was 0,458 with signification value was 0,000 (p0,05) and the contribution of the intensity of using mediated communication to warmth in friendship was 21%. Contribution percentage each aspect of independent variable to dependent variable are duration of communication 9,3%, message depth when communicating 6,4%, message extent when communicating 3,4%, and frequency of communication 1,9%. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is positive relation between intensity of using mediated communication and warmth in friendship on teenagers at Surakarta. The use of mediated communication will improve warmth in friendship when the communication is deeper and the duration is longer. Abstract

Pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah dilakukan agar siswa disiplin. Beberapa cara yang dilakukan guru untuk mendisiplinkan siswanya terkadang menimbulkan konflik dengan orang tua, yang salah satunya disebabkan karena tidak adanya kesepakatan yang jelas antara orang tua dan guru mengenai cara pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun kesepakatan antara orang tua dan guru tentang cara pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner terbuka dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Cresswel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hal-hal terkait pendisiplinan yang belum disepakati antara orang tua dan guru meliputi perilaku-perilaku indisipliner siswa di sekolah dan cara pendisiplinannya serta proses untuk membangun kesepakatan tentang cara pendisiplinan siswa. Kesepakatan orang tua dan guru dibangun melalui tiga tahapan negosiasi yang dipengaruhi oleh efek kekuasaan guru, kesalahpahaman, dan sikap permisif orang tua.Katakunci:cara pendisiplinan; membangun kesepakatan; orang tua dan guru

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran dukungan sosial pada stres akulturatif  mahasiswa asing di Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Populasi dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini berjumlah 111 mahasiswa. Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling dan snowball sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan skala stres akulturatif (reliabilitas 0,913) dan skala dukungan sosial (reliabilitas 0,855). Hasil teknik analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berperan pada stres akulturatif secara signifikan ditunjukkan dengan nilai Fhitung Ftabel (8,4514,05), nilai p 0,006 (p0,05) dan koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar -0,394. Sumbangan efektif variabel prediktor terhadap variabel kriterium adalah -15,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, dukungan sosial memiliki peran negatif sebanyak 15,5% pada tingkat stres akulturatif pada mahasiswa asing yang sedang menempuh studi di UNS.

Abstract

Background: Micronutrient deficiency, including iron, vitamin A, B-12 and folic acid, can cause anemia and harm adolescent health. Accurate dietary assessment methods is crucial to detect micronutrient deficiencies, but existing methods, have limitations, necessitating a review to identify the accurate methods for assessing micronutrient intake in adolescents. Objectives: To determine the accuracy of dietary assessment methods as suitable option for measuring micronutrient intake in adolescents. Methods: This study utilized the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-Analysis extension for Scoping Review (PRISMA-ScR) flowchart approach. Article were identified from ScienceDirect, PubMed, Scopus, Google Scholar. Articles were included if participants aged 10-19 years, published between 2014-2024, written in English/Indonesian, original research articles and studies related to validation of dietary assessment methods for micronutrient intake. The keywords were "micronutrient intake" OR "dietary intake" AND "dietary assessment" OR "validity" AND "adolescent". Discussions: 1157 articles were identified, 7 met the eligibility criteria, including 50 to 1081 adolescent. The Semi-Quantitative Food Frequency Questionnaire (SQ-FFQ) method was valid for sodium, niacin, folate, thiamine, calcium, phosphorus and reproducible for vitamin A, vitamin C, thiamine, riboflavin, niacin, iron, calcium, phosphorus, potassium, β-carotene. The Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) method was valid for riboflavin, vitamin C, calcium, serum iron biomarkers, and reproducible for retinol, thiamine, riboflavin, vitamin C, vitamin D, iron, calcium. The 24-hour Dietary Recall (24hDR) method showed acceptable validity for serum iron biomarkers. Conclusions: The SQ-FFQ, completed by adolescents with instruction of nutritionist, using a shorter food list and time intervals, has higher relative validity and reproducibility.
