Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji peran dukungan sosial pada stres akulturatif  mahasiswa asing di Universitas Sebelas Maret (UNS). Populasi dalam penelitian kuantitatif ini berjumlah 111 mahasiswa. Subyek dalam penelitian ini berjumlah dengan menggunakan teknik incidental sampling dan snowball sampling. Penelitian dilaksanakan dengan menggunakan skala stres akulturatif (reliabilitas 0,913) dan skala dukungan sosial (reliabilitas 0,855). Hasil teknik analisis regresi sederhana menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial berperan pada stres akulturatif secara signifikan ditunjukkan dengan nilai Fhitung > Ftabel (8,451>4,05), nilai p 0,006 (p<0,05) dan koefisien korelasi (R) sebesar -0,394. Sumbangan efektif variabel prediktor terhadap variabel kriterium adalah -15,5%. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa, dukungan sosial memiliki peran negatif sebanyak 15,5% pada tingkat stres akulturatif pada mahasiswa asing yang sedang menempuh studi di UNS.

Abstract

Kehangatan menjadi salah satu hal yang penting dalam suatu hubungan pertemanan, dengan adanya kehangatan dalam pertemanan seseorang akan lebih mudah dalam bersosialisasi dan menyesuaikan diri. Salah satu hal yang dapat meningkatkan kehangatan dalam pertemanan adalah dengan komunikasi. Komunikasi di era yang modern ini lebih banyak dilakukan melalui smartphone. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dengan kehangatan dalam pertemanan pada remaja di Surakarta. Sampling yang digunakan dihitung menggunakan formula Isaac dan Michael dan dilakukan dengan multistage cluster random sampling, didapatkan sample 254 siswa dari populasi yang berjumlah 16.692 siswa. Pengambilan data dilakukan menggunakan Skala Kehangatan dalam Pertemanan (reliabilitas Alpha cronbach=0,836) dan Skala Intensitas Penggunaan Komunikasi Bermedia (reliabilitas Alpha cronbach=0,863). Hasil uji hipotesis dengan analisis regresi linier sederhana didapatkan nilai korelasi (R) sebesar 0,458 dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 (p<0,05) dan sumbangan pengaruh variabel bebas terhadap varibel tergantung sebesar 21%. Sumbangan pengaruh tiap aspek dari varibel bebas terhadap variabel tergantung antara lain durasi berkomunikasi 9,3%, kedalaman pesan saat berkomunikasi 6,4%, keluasan pesan saat berkomunikasi 3,4% dan frekuensi berkomunikasi 1,9%. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini adalah terdapat hubungan positif antara intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dengan kehangatan dalam pertemanan pada remaja di Surakarta. Penggunaan komunikasi bermedia dapat membuat pertemanan menjadi lebih hangat ketika komunikasi yang dilakukan berlangsung dalam waktu yang lama dan bersifat mendalam.Kata kunci: intensitas penggunaan komunikasi bermedia, kehangatan dalam pertemanan Warmth is one of important thing in friendship. Warmth will be easier for someone to socialize and adapt with other. Warmth in friendship can be improved by communication. In this modern era, people often use smartphone to communicate with other. This research aims to find out the relation between intensity of using mediated communication and warmth in friendship on teenagers at Surakarta. Sampling technique use Isaac and Michael?s formulas with multistage cluster random sampling obtained 254 students from 16.692 students of population. Instrument used in this research was Warmth in Friendship Scale (Alpha Cronbach?s reliability=0,836) and Intensity of Using Mediated Communication Scale (Alpha Cronbach?s reliability=0,863). Based on hypothesis test result with simple linear regression showed that value of correlation (R) was 0,458 with signification value was 0,000 (p<0,05) and the contribution of the intensity of using mediated communication to warmth in friendship was 21%. Contribution percentage each aspect of independent variable to dependent variable are duration of communication 9,3%, message depth when communicating 6,4%, message extent when communicating 3,4%, and frequency of communication 1,9%. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that there is positive relation between intensity of using mediated communication and warmth in friendship on teenagers at Surakarta. The use of mediated communication will improve warmth in friendship when the communication is deeper and the duration is longer. Abstract

Pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah dilakukan agar siswa disiplin. Beberapa cara yang dilakukan guru untuk mendisiplinkan siswanya terkadang menimbulkan konflik dengan orang tua, yang salah satunya disebabkan karena tidak adanya kesepakatan yang jelas antara orang tua dan guru mengenai cara pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membangun kesepakatan antara orang tua dan guru tentang cara pendisiplinan siswa di sekolah. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan fenomenografi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuesioner terbuka dan Focus Group Discussion (FGD). Subjek dalam penelitian ini dipilih dengan teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik analisis data menurut Cresswel. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hal-hal terkait pendisiplinan yang belum disepakati antara orang tua dan guru meliputi perilaku-perilaku indisipliner siswa di sekolah dan cara pendisiplinannya serta proses untuk membangun kesepakatan tentang cara pendisiplinan siswa. Kesepakatan orang tua dan guru dibangun melalui tiga tahapan negosiasi yang dipengaruhi oleh efek kekuasaan guru, kesalahpahaman, dan sikap permisif orang tua.Katakunci:cara pendisiplinan; membangun kesepakatan; orang tua dan guru

Abstract

The study aimed to adapt the Fear of Missing Out (FoMO) Scale developed by Alt (2015). Instead of measuring FoMO only in a social context such as in previous studies, the development of this FoMO Scale was to also identify the levels of FoMO in the context of social media use during learning processes. The cross-cultural scale adaptation process referred to the forward-backward translation procedure by Beaton et al. (2000). Psychometric properties were assessed from its construct validation and reliability. Validation evaluation was carried out using Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) from 534 samples of college students who experienced online lectures during the pandemic situation in Java. The construct validation supported the multidimensionality of the scale; Social FoMO, News FoMO, and Commercial FoMO had met the Goodness of Fit criteria (RMSEA ≤ 0,1; GFI ≥ 0,9; CFI≥ 0,8; AGFI ≥ 0,8) with factor loadings ranging from 0,42—0,74. The scale also proved to be reliable (ɑ=0,842). Thus, the Indonesian version of the FoMO Scale is eligible to measure the three dimensions of FoMO in Indonesia.

Abstract

One of the problems that often faced by the teenagers with physical disabilities is the negative self-concept. Self-concept is a description of a person affected by the environment. The negative self-concept could lead the teenagers into a higher level of juvenile delinquency. Father, as one of the family members has an important role in shaping self-concept on teenagers. Teenagers with adequate attention of a father would tend to feel loved and worth that could lead them to shape a positive self-concept.  The purpose of this quantitative-correlational was to determine the role of father involvement in self-concept of teenagers with physical disabilities.  The respondents of this research were teenagers with physical disabilities aged 13 – 19 years old with father in total 53 respondents. Sampling technique used in this research was non-probability by using purposive sampling. The instrument used was Father Involvement Scale (rxx’=0,904) and Self-Concept Scale (rxx’=0,930). Data analysis technique was simple linier regression analysis.  The result of study showed that there was significant correlation between father involvement in self-concept of teenagers with physical disabilities (R=0,452, p<0,05). Known the value of R2 was 0,204,. It means values the role father involvement in self-concept of teenagers with physical disabilities is 20,4%.   Salah satu permasalahan yang sering dijumpai remaja tunadaksa adalah konsep diri negatif. Konsep diri merupakan gambaran mengenai dirinya sendiri yang dipengaruhi oleh lingkungan. Konsep diri negatif dapat membawa remaja pada tingkat kenakalan yang tinggi. Ayah merupakan salah satu anggota dari keluarga yang berperan dalam membentuk konsep diri remaja. Remaja yang mendapat perhatian dari ayahnya akan merasa disayang, berharga, dan mendorong remaja membentuk konsep diri positif. Penelitian kuantitatif-korelasional ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dengan konsep diri remaja tunadaksa. Responden dalam penelitian ini remaja tunadaksa berusia 13-19 tahun yang memiliki ayah dengan jumlah 53 responden. Teknik pengambilan sampel pada penelitian ini adalah non-probability dengan menggunakan purposive sampling. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah Skala Keterlibatan Ayah dalam Pengasuhan (rxx’=0,904) dan Skala Konsep Diri (rxx’=0,930). Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis regresi linier sederhana. Hasil dari penelitian ini menunjukkan adanya hubungan signifikan antara keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan dengan konsep diri remaja tunadaksa (R= 0,452, p< 0,05). Diketahui nilai R2 (R Square) sebesar 0,204, artinya nilai peran keterlibatan ayah dalam pengasuhan terhadap konsep diri remaja tunadaksa adalah 20,4%.

Abstract

ENGLISHThe presence of the Tourism Awareness Group is a tangible manifestation of the tourism awareness movement. Some of local potential around the Maron River has not been utilized optimally. One of them is coconut fruit products which are quite abundant. The involvement of women in the development of Maron River tourism is also not optimal as the involvement of men. The purpose of the research is to increase the entrepreneurial interest of the Maron River Pokdarwis women with local potential. The type of research is experimental with a one-group pretest-posttest design. The research was carried out in August 2023. The research samples are 30 mothers from the Maron River’s Pokdarwis with an average age of 38.3 years (SD+11.92). Data collection using the Entrepreneurship Interest Scale (Rel=0.876) was carried out before and after training. Data analysis was done by descriptive quantitative and inferential statistics using the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test technique. The results of the analysis showed that there was an increase in the average value of mothers' entrepreneurial interest after attending the training (pretest 98.9, posttest 103.2) with p=0.000 (p<0.05). In other words, training in utilizing local potential can increase the entrepreneurial interest of the women of Maron River’s Pokdarwis. INDONESIAKehadiran Kelompok Sadar Wisata (Pokdarwis) merupakan wujud nyata dari gerakan sadar wisata, yang bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kualitas program atraksi desa serta mendorong keterlibatan seluruh anggota masyarakat dalam upaya mendukung kemajuan pariwisata di desanya. Sebagian potensi lokal di sekitar Sungai Maron belum dimanfaatkan dengan optimal, seperti buah kelapa padahal jumlahnya cukup melimpah.  Selain itu, keterlibatan para ibu dalam pengembangan wisata Sungai Maron juga belum optimal sebagaimana keterlibatan para laki-laki. Tujuan penelitian untuk meningkatkan minat wirausaha para ibu Pokdarwis Sungai Maron dengan potensi lokal. Jenis penelitian berupa eksperimen dengan rancangan penelitian one-group pretest-posttest design. Penelitian dilaksanakan pada bulan Agustus 2023. Sampel penelitian berupa 30 orang ibu-ibu pokdarwis Sungai Maron dengan usia rata-rata 38,3 tahun (SD+11,92). Pengambilan data dengan Skala Minat Kewirausahaan (Rel=0,876) yang dilakukan sebelum pelatihan (Pretest) dan sesudah pelatihan (Posttest). Analisis data dengan kuantitatif deskriptif dan statistik inferensial dengan teknik Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test. Hasil analisis menunjukkan ada peningkatan nilai rata-rata minat wirausaha para ibu setelah mengikuti pelatihan (Pretest 98,9 dan Posttest 103,2) dengan p=0,000 (p<0,05). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pelatihan pemanfatan potensi lokal dapat meningkatkan minat wirausaha para ibu Pokdarwis Sungai Maron.

Abstract

Capaian kinerja Pusat Studi Difabilitas (PSD) LPPM UNS pada tahun 2022 mengalami peningkatan. Meskipun demikian, capaian kinerja ini masih dianggap kurang untuk mencapai standar kriteria menuju Rintisan Pusat Unggulan Iptek (PUI) Disabilitas. Menghadapi hal tersebut, PSD perlu melakukan sebuah akselerasi dengan menyusun rencana strategis langkah-langkah menuju Rintisan PUI Disabilitas. Salah satunya adalah dengan meningkatkan riset, publikasi, dan branding PSD LPPM UNS dalam upaya menuju PUI Disabilitas. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis kekuatan (strength), kelemahan (weaknesses), kesempatan (opportunity), dan ancaman (threats) sebagai strategi meningkatkan kinerja menuju Rintisan PUI Disabilitas. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Data kualitatif yang didapatkan sebagai acuan permasalahan yang dialami peer group dalam melakukan riset dan publikasi serta mendapatkan pandangan tentang branding yang harus dilakukan PSD LPPM UNS di masa depan. Data kuantitatif digunakan untuk memetakan jumlah riset dan publikasi anggota peer group, nantinya data ini digunakan sebagai acuan penyusunan roadmap PSD LPPM UNS dan pemetaan anggota peer group yang produktif dan kurang produktif. Hasil penelitian ini menghasilkan analisis SWOT, roadmap rintisan PUI Disabilitas UNS, dan langkah-langkah strategis untuk mewujudkan Rintisan PUI Disabilitas yang dijelaskan lebih lengkap dalam isi artikel.

Abstract

The formulation of the problem from this research is what is the need for podcasts as a media for learning the visually impaired students? The purpose of this study was to analyze the need for podcasts as learning media for visually impaired students and their benefits for developing podcasts as learning media for visually impaired students. The research method is quantitative and qualitative, namely in the form of a list of tables that are converted into percentages to calculate how many items in a questionnaire to answer a study. While the qualitative is the elaboration of the quantitative data obtained by the researcher. Data collection techniques using questionnaires or questionnaires. The results of the research and discussion data presented can be concluded that the need for podcasts as a learning medium for the blind is indicated by a percentage of 100% meaning that students need learning media that suits their learning style.

Abstract

Children with cerebral palsy (CP) have eating and drinking difficulties, so caregivers should have knowledge and skills about feeding practice. Education to caregivers about feeding practice aims to support children with CP to be able to eat and drink safely and efficiently. Feeding practice about diet, food consistency, food variety, and appropriate eating and drinking utensils for children with CP can support their functional ability in receiving food and drinks. The method used was the scoping review of articles obtained from PUBMED, Science Direct, and Google Scholar database. The articles obtained were then selected using the article selection diagram. This review focused on feeding practice educational intervention for caregivers to support the eating and drinking ability of children with CP. The results showed that the caregivers’ knowledge and skills in carrying out the feeding practice could increase the safety, time efficiency, and eating and drinking ability of children with CP.

Abstract

Adolescence is a phase of rapid and critical development, necessitating increased energy, protein, vitamin and mineral requirements. However, poor dietary patterns during adolescence pose a risk factor for malnutrition, negatively impacting health into adulthood and, requiring nutritional interventions to break the cycle intergenerational malnutrition. Social media-based nutritional interventions through instagram have the potential to provide health information for adolescents. Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the development stages of intervention media and the effectiveness of nutritional education interventions through instagram addressing adolescent nutritional issues. Method: The study follows Arksey and O'Malley framework with PRISMA-ScR systematic review method. Article searches were conducted on Google, Scopus, Science Direct, PubMed and Google Scholar databases using keywords "nutritional education" OR "nutrition-related interventions" AND "Instagram" OR “Instagram-based” AND "adolescent". Inclusion criteria required articles published between 2014 and 2024, involving adolescents aged 10-19 years, written in English or Indonesian, instagram as primary intervention media and employing quantitative and qualitative research designs. Results: Review results indicated interventions lasting an average duration of 2-12 weeks with varying content, although detailed reporting on content development was often lacking. Despite predominantly low intensity, interventions across 12 demonstrated significant improvement in knowledge, attitudes, practices, diet quality, compliance in consuming iron folic acid supplementation (IFAS), waist circumference, physical activity, nutritional intake (energy, protein, carbohydrates), and body image. Nutritional education interventions through instagram showed varying degrees of success among adolescents. Conclusions: Overall, this review highlights the need for the development stages and the importance of considering intervention intensity to enhance the effectiveness of nutritional education interventions through instagram.
