Abstract

Materi fotosintesis merupakan materi esensial pada kurikulum merdeka. Untuk memfasilitasi pemahaman peserta didik maka perlu dilakukan pembelajaran secara langsung melalui kegiatan praktikum. Petunjuk praktikum yang digunakan di sekolah masih banyak yang tidak mengarahkan peserta didik membangun pengetahuannya sendiri dan tidak mengembangkan keterampilan literasi kuantitatif. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis desain praktikum yang ada sebagai dasar rekonstruksi desain kegiatan laboratorium alternatif untuk mengembangkan kemampuan literasi kuantitatif peserta didik. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah deskriptif kuantitatif. Sasaran penelitian ini adalah desain kegiatan laboratorium fotosintesis untuk siswa kelas XII SMA. Sampel penelitian adalah desain kegiatan laboratorium fotosintesis Ingenhousz tentang pengaruh intensitas cahaya terhadap laju proses fotosintesis.  Teknik sampling yang digunakan adalah purposive sampling. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis pada aspek konseptual, kompetensi, praktikal, dan konstruksi pengetahuan. Analisis pada keempat aspek tersebut merupakan dasar pengembangan desain kegiatan laboratorium alternatif. Hasil penelitian ini adalah desain kegiatan laboratorium pengaruh intensitas cahaya terhadap laju proses fotosintesis yang dapat mengembangkan keterampilan literasi kuantitatif peserta didik.

Abstract

Pada mata pelajaran biologi, siswa dituntut untuk mencapai tujuan pembelajaran secara teori dan praktik. Pembuatan desain kegiatan laboratorium (DKL) di sekolah tentunya masih banyak terdapat kesalahan konsep. Tujuan dari penelitian ini ialah menganalisis desain kegiatan laboratorium dan merekonstruksi desain kegiatan tersebut menjadi sesuai dengan konsep yang terdapat pada kurikulum. Metode yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode deskriptif. Analisis desain kegiatan laboratorium ini meliputi aspek relevansi dengan kurikulum, kompetensi, praktikal, dan konstruksi pengetahuan setalah itu dilakukan nya rekonstruksi desain eksperimen. Kemudian tahap uji coba desain eksperimen dengan mengujicobakan desain kegiatan laboratorium tersebut. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu desain kegiatan laboratorium yang dianalisis tidak memenuhi kriteria keterampilan laboratorium. Maka sebagai solusinya, kami membuat desain kegiatan laboratorium yang baru dengan judul pengaruh konsentrasi karbondioksida pada laju fotosintesis Hydrilla verticilata. Desain kegiatan laboratorium ini, dapat memfasilitasi peserta didik untuk meningkatkan keterampilan di dalam laboratorium.

Abstract

Inquiry skills are important basic skills that science teachers must possess. Inquiry skills underlie the standard implementation of the science learning process. This descriptive study aims to obtain an overview of the mastery of inquiry skills possessed by prospective biology teacher students in plant anatomy practicum. The research method used in this research is descriptive method. The research subjects in this study were prospective biology teacher students (n=42). The instruments used in this research are inquiry skills tests and interviews. The results showed that the average student inquiry skills was 43.36. This result is still below the indicator of completeness in mastering skills, which is 75. The acquisition of an inquiry skills score on the indicators of identifying problems (29.76), designing experiments and carrying out experiments (50.79), analyzing and interpreting data (54.76), constructing explanations (42.86), generate arguments from a number of evidences (43.33) and communicate information (38.69). The conclusion of this study is that the verification practicum learning experience that has been experienced by students has not been able to develop student inquiry skills optimally, so it is necessary to design lecture programs both in class and in laboratory to develop students' inquiry skills.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to find out the carbon influence of rice husks and wood grain as electrolyte absorbers on large voltage and battery life. The battery fabrication procedure is as follows: (1) Preparing sixteen used batteries with a 1.5 Volt voltage, (2) Making NaCl solution with percentages of 10, 20, 30, and 40%, (3) Drying rice husks and wood grain until drying, (4) Carbonizing rice husks and wood grain, (5) Smoothing rice husks and carbonated wood grain, (6) Mixing rice husk, wood grain, and electrolyte solution, (7) Remove the contents of the used battery and wash it thoroughly, (8) Insert carbon from rice husks and wood grain. (9) Perform the process of closing the battery with the battery cover, (10) Measuring the battery voltage using an Avometer. This research shows that carbon derived from rice husks and wood grain can generate electrical voltage, but the resulting voltage is still low compared to commercial batteries. In addition, batteries with electrolyte solutions that have a salt percentage of 10% provide the most voltage.

Abstract

This study investigated the effect of the ratio of the electrolyte paste mixture of cassava peel (CP) and pineapple peel (PP) on the voltage and current strength. In the experiments, prior to using, CP and PP biomass waste was cleaned then soaked for 30 minutes. Furthermore, the biomass waste is mashed and put into the test media according to the comparison. In this study, CP/PP compositions were varied with the value of 100: 0, 75:25, 50:50, 25:75, and 0: 100. The results showed that the highest electrolyte obtained by voltage and current strength with a ratio of 100: 0. The more CP comparisons used, the greater the voltage and strong current. Abstract

Kemampuan inkuiri adalah kemampuan untuk memperoleh informasi melalui observasi atau eksperimen. Asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri di sekolah belum diterapkan. Oleh karena itu untuk mencapai kemampuan inkuiri tersebut penerapan asesmen kinerja diperlukan. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menerapkan asesmen kinerja dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri melalui pembelajaran Levels of Inquiry siswa SMA pada sub topik pemanasan global. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah deskriptif. Instrumen asesmen kinerja yang diterapkan terdiri dari enam task (LKS discovery learning, task laporan hasil diskusi, LKS interactive demonstration, LKS inquiry lesson, LKS inquiry lab dan task laporan hasil unjuk kerja) dan rubrik di setiap tingkat pada pembelajaran Levels of Inquiry. Instrumen penilaian kinerja kemampuan inkuiri diuji kelayakannya dengan validasi ahli, kemudian menerapkan asesmen kinerja pada satu kelas implementasi, kemudian menguji efektivitas penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri dan menguji pengaruhnya. Untuk menguji efektivitas, penelitian ini melibatkan siswa SMA (N = 33) pada tahun ajaran 2017/2018 sebagai partisipan. Pengumpulan data menggunakan lembar validasi, tes keterampilan inkuiri, task dan rubriknya, lembar observasi kinerja. Validitas instrumen penilaian kinerja kemampuan inkuiri memiliki rerata 34 dengan persentase 85%, yang dikategorikan "validitas tinggi". Rerata N-gain siswa dalam kemampuan inkuiri adalah 0,58 dengan kategori ‘sedang’. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan untuk melihat pengaruh penerapan asesmen kinerja terhadap peningkatan kemampuan inkuiri siswa adalah dengan menggunakan uji Friedman, berdasarkan perhitungan uji Friedman diperoleh probabilitas = 0,000 dengan taraf signifikansi 0,05, maka artinya nilai Probabilitas < 0,05(5), yaitu 0,000 < 0,4117. Hasil ini menunjukkan bahwa penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri cukup efektif dalam meningkatkan kemampuan inkuiri dan penerapan asesmen kinerja kemampuan inkuiri berpengaruh terhadap peningkatan kemampuan inkuiri. Abstract

Temperature monitoring using a thermal camera is one type of light inspection that is used as an indicator of the health of a transformer. The system can detect the temperature of a transformer without having to stick directly to the surface of the transformer. The results of temperature measurements from the sensor are displayed in the form of images that can be displayed on a web. In this final project, a transformer temperature monitoring system is made that continues to work in real time to measure the temperature of the transformer. This is because changes in the temperature of the transformer can occur at any time. With this system, workers are expected to always monitor the condition of the transformer without having to make onsite visits. In this final project, ESP32 is used as a microcontroller and MLX90641 thermal camera. The use of a thermal camera in this system is caused by several advantages, namely the thermal camera can take the temperature of all parts of the transformer captured on the camera. In addition, the thermal camera has a range of up to seven meters. In this system, the temperature capture is set at the hottest point of all visible camera pixels. This system is also equipped with a notification system that will work when the temperature of the hamster transformer exceeds 60℃. The normal temperature threshold of the distribution transformer is 30℃-80℃. Or the maximum increase in one day of 40℃ from the initial temperature. The temperature of the transformer's hottest point will trigger a notification display in a web. So that after receiving a notification the officer can immediately know the temperature of the transformer and immediately take action. From the results of experiments that have been carried out, it is known that the results of measuring the temperature value of the thermometer and sensor have an accuracy rate of 98.8%. In addition, the system also works well, this is indicated by the color difference that occurs when the transformer temperature is in normal and hot conditions. So that from the image displayed, the officer can already know that the measured transformer is in normal or overheated conditions.

Abstract

Practicum is an activity that aims to enable students to carry out experiments to prove phenomena based on theories obtained in learning. Practicum refers to the student worksheet (LKPD). The purpose of this study was to analyze and describe the conceptual, practical, and knowledge construction components of the ABO blood group test students' worksheets which are used as a basis for making improvements and reconstruction of LKPD. The research method is descriptive qualitative. Sampling was done by purposive sampling with a total of 5 LKPDs. The LKPD trial was carried out at the UPI physiology laboratory. The instruments used in this research are according to the Vee diagram and the structural analysis instruments developed. The results showed that the conceptual component was in accordance with the demands of the curriculum. Practical components such as work steps, object recording, and standard operating procedure (SOP) activities need to be repaired and reconstructed. The knowledge construction component is quite good and needs repair and reconstruction. So it can be concluded that the LKPD of the ABO system blood group test needs to be reconstructed. Praktikum merupakan suatu kegiatan yang bertujuan agar siswa dapat melakukan percobaan untuk membuktikan fenomena-fenomena berdasarkan teori yang didapatkan di dalam pembelajaran. Praktikum mengacu kepada lembar kerja peserta didik (LKPD). Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan kompenen konseptual, praktikal, dan kontruksi pengetahuan lembar kerja peserta didik uji golongan darah sistem ABO yang digunakan sebagai dasar untuk melakukan perbaikan dan rekontruksi LKPD. Metode penelitian adalah deskriptif kualitatif. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan cara purposive sampling dengan total LKPD sebanyak 5 buah. Uji coba LKPD dilakukan di laboratorium fisiologi UPI. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penilitian ini menurut diagram Vee dan Instrumen analisis struktur yang dikembangkan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa komponen konseptual sudah sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum. Komponen praktikal seperti langkah kerja, perekaman objek, dan standar operasional prosedur (SOP) kegiatan perlu diperbaiki dan direkontruksi kembali. Komponen kontruksi pengetahuan sudah cukup baik dan perlu perbaikan dan rekontruksi. Sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa LKPD uji golongan darah sistem ABO perlu direkontruksi kembali.

Abstract

The Industrial Revolution 4.0 is a challenge for the quality of education in Indonesia. One way to improve the quality of education is through practical work using student’s practical worksheet. Biology Practical Worksheet on Blood Structure Subject. The study was a descriptive qualitative and the research subject was the student’s practical worksheet on blood structure. The used sampling technique was total sampling, which included six student worksheets of KTSP 2006 and four student worksheets of 2013 Curriculum. The used instruments were the instrument of conceptual analysis and practical analysis, which were self-developed, also the instrument of cognitive construction analysis based on Vee Diagram. The findings show the tested worksheet includes some issues on conceptual, procedural, and cognitive construction. The issue on conceptual relies on the work procedure which was not aligned with the objective. The issue on practical are: 1) the difficulty on object identification; 2) the recorded-data was not structured; and 3) there were no safety-lab procedure. The issue on cognitive construction are: 1) the object / event was not in accordance with focused-question; 2) the identified-concept was not based on any principle or theory; 3) the notes / transformation was not in accordance with the main procedure; and 4) the cognitive claim was not in accordance with concept, principle, or theory. Abstrak. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran mengenai permasalahan LKS praktikum struktur darah di SMA. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dan subjek penelitian ini adalah LKS praktikum struktur darah. Teknik sampling yang digunakan yaitu total sampling, sampel terdiri dari 6 LKS pada KTSP 2006 dan 4 LKS pada Kurikulum 2013. Instrumen yang digunakan meliputi instrumen analisis konseptual dan analisis praktikal yang dikembangkan oleh penulis serta instrumen analisis kontruksi pengetahuan berdasarkan Diargam Vee. Hasil temuan menunjukkan LKS praktikum struktur darah masih terdapat masalah pada konseptual, prosedural dan konstruksi pengetahuan. Permasalahan pada konseptual yaitu langkah kerja yang tidak sesuai dengan judul/tujuan. Permasalahan pada praktikal yaitu: 1) sulitnya mengidentifikasi objek / fenomena; 2) perekaman data tidak terstruktur; dan 3) tidak adanya prosedur safety lab. Sedangkan permasalahan pada konstruksi pengetahuan yaitu: 1) objek / peristiwa tidak sesuai dengan pertanyaan fokus; 2) konsep teridentifikasi tanpa prinsip dan teori; 3) catatan / transformasi tidak sesuai dengan kegiatan utama; dan 4) klaim pengetahuan tidak sesuai dengan konsep, prinsip dan teori.

Abstract

Biology as science is not detached from the demands to help students gain an understanding as much as possible of scientific knowledge in accordance with their needs and also able to develop students ' understanding of the methods that knowledge is acquired. One of the many methods used in biological learning is the practical work. To learn using the practical work is not separated from the needs of worksheets that fit the purpose of learning. Some worksheets that teachers use sometimes do not comply with what should be, according to the prevailing curriculum demands. Therefore, this research aims to analyse the conformity of worksheets by using Analysis, Trial and Reconstruction (ANCOR) methods. The study was conducted by taking six worksheets that selected according to the worksheet which is commonly used in practical activity of plasmolysis observation in plant cells. This research is included in qualitative descriptive. The instrument used is an analysis of the conformity of worksheets that was conducted from the research carried out by Wahidah, et.al. (2018) and also analyses using a Vee diagram rubric adapted from research conducted by Supriatno (2013). The results of the study found that the worksheets used in the practice of Plasmolysis observation is still less appropriate to be used as a good for practical activities both conceptually, practical, and knowledge reconstruction and still in low conformity based on the analysis of the Vee diagram. Abstrak. Biologi sebagai ilmu sains menuntut pemahaman tentang pengetahuan ilmiah yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan dan mampu mengembangkan pemahaman metode atau cara pengetahuan itu diperoleh. Salah satu metode yang digunakan pada pembelajaran biologi adalah metode praktikum. Pembelajaran menggunakan metode praktikum tidak terlepas dari adanya kebutuhan Lembar Kerja Peserta Didik (LKPD) yang sesuai, namun LKPD yang digunakan guru terkadang tidak sesuai dengan tuntutan kurikulum yang berlaku. Untuk itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis kesesuaian pada LKPD yang digunakan dengan menggunakan metode Analisis, uji Coba dan Rekontruksi (ANCOR). Penelitian dilakukan dengan mengambil enam LKPD yang dipilih berdasarkan LKPD yang biasa digunakan dalam kegiatan praktikum pengamatan plasmolisis pada sel tumbuhan. Penelitian ini termasuk ke dalam penelitian deskriptif kualitatif karena besifat menggambarkan hasil dari penelitian. Instrumen yang digunakan berupa analisis kesesuaian LKPD yang diadptasi dari penelitian yang dilakukan oleh Wahidah, et.al. Hasil penelitian ditemukan bahwa LKPD yang digunakan pada praktikum pengamatan plasmolisis masih kurang sesuai untuk dijadikan LKPD yang baik dan masih berada pada kualitas yang rendah berdasarkan analisis dari diagram vee.
