Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan gambaran empiris dan menganalisis mengenai seberapa besar pengaruh efektivitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kinerja guru dari variabel-variabel usaha-usaha yang dilakukan kepala sekolah, factor pendukung dan penghambat efektivitas kepemimpinan, serta efektivitas kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan kinerja guru di SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau. Jenis penelitian adalah penelitian kualitatif dengan jenis studi kasus. Sumber data penelitian ini adalah Kepala Sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah dan guru di SMA Negeri 1 Muara Wahau. Prosedur pengumpulan dan perekaman data menggunakan wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data, dan kesimpulan. Pemeriksaan atau pengecekan keabsahan data menggunakan uji kredibilitas. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu: (1) Usaha-usaha yang dilakukan kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan kinerja guru antara lain adalah dengan pengarahan dan bimbingan, kedisiplinan, evaluasi kemampuan guru, penghargaan dan motivasi , (2) adapun faktor pendukung dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru adalah perekrutan guru yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan sekolah dan fasilitas sarana dan prasana yang memadai, (3) sedangkan yang menjadi faktor penghambat adalah kondisi alam, jauhnya jarak antara rumah guru dengan sekolah, kebijakan kurikulum yang sering direvisi, dan keterlambatan sampainya buku siswa, (4) kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam meningkatkan kinerja guru dinilai sudah efektif.

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menguraikan gaya kepemimpinan kepala sekolah dalam peningkatan efektivitas kerja guru di SMP Kabupaten Kutai Timur. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMP Negeri 2 Telen Kabupaten Kutai Timur dengan menggunakan jenis penelitian kualitatif. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah kepala Sekolah dan guru di SMP Negeri di Telen Kabupaten Kutai Timur. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara mendalam, observasi, studi dokumentasi, dan data dianalisis dengan teknik Miles dan Huberman dan dilakukan triangulasi untuk memeriksa validitas hasil penelitian. Hasil penelitian menunujukkan beberapa temuan bahwa: 1) berbagai upaya dilakukan oleh kepala sekolah untuk meningkatkan efektivitas kerja guru. Di antaranya dengan memberikan pelatihan dan memberikan kesempatan kepada mereka untuk mengembangkan SDM nya melalui wadah MGMP, dan memberikan kesempatan kepada guru mengikuti pelatihan-pelatihan yang diselenggarakan oleh Dinas Pendidikan baik tingkat Kabupaten maupun provinsi atau lembaga lain dalam rangka peningkatan profesionalisme guru. Pimpinan mengupayakan pengembangan diri guru agar dapat melaksanakan kegiata proses belajar mengajar sesuai dengan kompetensi guru dan yang telah digariskan dalam silabus dan RPP mata pelajaran. Kepala sekolah berupaya membangun kondisi sekolah yang aman dan nyaman dengan melakukan peningkatan–peningkatan sarana dan prasarana yang ada di sekolah.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the formulation, implementation, constraints, and solutions of the vice chancellor's leadership policies in improving the performance of lecturers at private universities in East Kalimantan. This research uses a qualitative approach with the type of case study research. The data collection involved three informants, namely the Vice-Chancellor I for academics and planning, the Dean of the Faculty of Teacher Training and Education, and lecturers. Data collection techniques through observation, interviews, and documentation. The data analysis used is the Miles and Huberman model, which includes data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that: (1) the vice chancellor's leadership policies in improving lecturer performance were defining problems, analyzing problems, receiving suggestions and input from lecturers, deciding the best solution, and implementing policies, and (2) the obstacles faced by the vice chancellor when determining policies were discipline. lecturers, the competence of lecturers in the fields of research, scientific publications, and community service as well as the lack of Personnel for Research and Community Service Institutions, (3) the vice chancellor's efforts to resolve policy problems are to give advice to lecturers who are not disciplined, to give rewards to lecturers who obedience, increase the number of personnel for Research and Community Service Institutions and establish Partnership and Entrepreneurship Studies.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to describe the principal’s leadership in planning the internal quality assurance system (IQAS) of Al Azhar School in terms of content, process, and assessment standards. This research used a qualitative approach with a case method. The subjects of the research were principal, teachers, students, and parents of students. Data were collected by using in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation. The validity of the research data was done through triangulation. The data analysis model used was an interactive data analysis developed by Miles and Huberman through several stages, starting from data collection, data reduction, data presentation, and data verification or conclusion. The research findings showed that the principal's leadership in planning the internal quality assurance system was indicated by his School Income and Expenditure Budget Plan (SIEBP) carried out through school meetings by involving different school development teams such as curricular, exclassical, religious, and support teams as well as school committee. He carried out quality improvement through comparative studies and collaboration with other institutions stated in the memorandum of understanding. He also made a special team to carry out internal quality improvements related to content standards, educational processes, performance assessments, giving certificate of award and salary increase for teachers who achieve work performance. In addition, he also ran academic and non-academic activities as a continuous internal quality improvement for achieving National Education Standards (NES).

Abstract

This study aims to describe the principal's strategic planning in improving the quality of education at Bontang City Vocational High School. This study uses a qualitative approach, it is based on the intention to describe the behavior of informants, namely implementing educational planning in improving the quality of education. Data collection methods used are observation, interviews, and documentation. Primary data sources in this study were directed at finding data from school principals, vice principals, and teachers. The search for data started with the principal as a key informant by using snowball sampling. then the teachers who manage student learning. The adequacy of the data is based on the saturation of the data, that is if the data from one data and the other data are the same. Secondary data sources are carried out by processing information obtained from the field in the form of notes and documents related to the research focus. Data analysis in this study took place simultaneously with the data collection process, namely data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the principal's strategic planning in improving the quality of education in Bontang City Vocational High Schools are: (1) Implementation of programs relevant to planning for improving the quality of education; (2) School principals prioritize cooperation and maintain stability and sustainability of education quality improvement policies; (3) Managing school and community relations to implement education quality improvement plans; (4) manage teachers and staff to synergize in the planning and implementation of quality improvement, and are highly committed to planning for improving the quality of education in their schools.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the managerial competence of principals in turning their schools into centers of excellence. This concept is derived from the experience expressed by the leaders responsible for the development of quality management in public and private vocational high schools at East Borneo. This research is a comparative study that uses a qualitative approach with a case study method at two vocational high schools in East Borneo-collecting data using interview, observation, and documentation methods. Semi-structured interviews were conducted to obtain information and excellent school programs from the six informants who participated in this study. They consist of two principals, two curriculum officers, and two teachers who support the flagship program in their school. The results of this study indicate that the principal leads his school to realize a superior and quality Vocational High School; this is the implementation of their managerial competence. Vocational High Schools are organized to prepare a skilled middle-level workforce to support national development in employment and career selection and develop student competencies to compete globally and create jobs. Public and Private Vocational Schools in East Borneo have great potential to become centers of excellence. The principal's managerial competence supports this. Adequate infrastructure according to standard equipment in the industry. In addition, they apply all the knowledge obtained from school about attitudes, manners, character, and Pancasila student profiles in the studio environment and the community in their environment. The Center for Excellence Vocational School's management responsibilities includes developing policies, conducting research, and proposing ideas to the Directorate of Education. Following that, a schedule of tasks is completed to acquire tangible and intangible infrastructure and mentoring activities related to each vocational school's area of specialization.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilaksanakan berdasarkan data yang diperoleh melalui studi pendahuluan pada siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 3 Samarinda yang menunjukkan penerimaan diri (self-acceptance) rendah. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah untuk mengetahui pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok realitas terhadap penerimaan diri (self-acceptance) siswa. Penelitian ini menggunakan jenis penelitian kuantitatif dengan bentuk quasi eksperimen dan desain nonequivalent control group design. Teknik sampling yang digunakan ialah purposive sampling. Populasi penelitian ini sebanyak 31 siswa di kelas XI IPS 3, dengan sampel sebanyak 10 siswa yaitu 5 siswa sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan 5 siswa sebagai kelompok kontrol. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan skala penerimaan diri (self-acceptance), teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah Mann-Whitney U test dan Uji Wilcoxon. Hasil analisis data untuk Mann-Whitney U test didapatkan nilai Asymp.Sig (2-tailed) 0,009 < 0,05 dan untuk Uji Wilcoxon dengan nilai Asymp. Sig (2-tailed) pada kelompok eksperimen adalah 0,043 < 0,05 sehingga Ha diterima dan H0 ditolak. Sesuai hasil analisis data tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwasanya terdapat perbedaan signifikan penerimaan diri (self-acceptance) antara kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol dan terdapat pengaruh layanan konseling kelompok realitas terhadap penerimaan diri (self-acceptance) kelompok eksperimen.

Abstract

Perencanaan strategik dalam organisasi pendidikan sangat diperlukan dan bermanfaat untuk menentukan arah dan tujuan lembaga pendidikan ke arah yang lebih baik di masa depan. Program pendampingan bagi lembaga pendidikan dalam menyusun perencanaan strategik merupakan hal yang sangat diperlukan. Pendampingan dapat dilakukan dengan berbagai kegiatan yang salah satunya program pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM). Oleh karena itu program pengabdian ini bertujuan untuk membantu sekolah dalam upaya peningkatan mutu pendidikan melalui pelatihan penyusunan perencanaan strategik. Sasaran PkM ini adalah kepala sekolah, guru, dan tenaga kependidikan lainnya di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri Samarinda. PkM dilakukan dalam bentuk pelatihan/workshop. Hasil dari kegiatan PkM adalah memberikan manfaat bagi peserta dalam mengatasi masalah yang ditemui ketika menyusun perencanaan strategik kepemimpinan, kegiatan PkM mampu meningkatkan pengetahuan, pemahaman, serta kompetensi kepala sekolah, para guru dan tenaga kependidikan lainnya dalam mengimplementasikan langkah-langkah pembuatan perencanaan yang strategik, serta PkM ini menghasilkan program perencanaan strategik untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan yang akan diimplementasikan

Abstract

This study aims to determine the strategic management of improving the quality of education in the Integrated Islamic Elementary School of Cordova Samarinda. In this qualitative study, data were obtained through in-depth interviews with school principals, vice principals for curriculum, vice principals for student affairs and teachers. Data were collected by observation, interview and documentation methods and then analyzed using an interactive analysis model. The study results show that the school has analysed internal and external factors to determine a strategic program concerning eight national education standards and the unique educational standards of integrated Islamic school networks. These standards are reflected in work programs, including extracurricular programs and personality development programs for teachers and students. These programs are evaluated through supervision activities and school meetings to achieve common goals.

Abstract

Because the principal oversees services for teaching and education personnel, teaching programs, students, educational financing, facilities, and community connections, the principal's leadership has a significant impact on teacher performance. This study intends to ascertain how the leadership of the principal and educational funding affect junior high school teachers' performance in the Mahakam Ulu District. With a sample of 104 teachers and a population of 128, this study is quantitative in nature. The methods of observation, surveys, and documentation are used to collect data. SPSS Statistics was utilized for data analysis, including regression and descriptive analysis. According to the study's findings, principle leadership has a 38% impact on teacher performance, education financing has a 55% impact, and principal leadership and financing together have a 66% impact. This study has implications for school leadership that will help administrators deliver instruction that is less reliant on outside sources. As a result, the principal is crucial to raising the standard of the school. In order to develop great schools, school principals must be revitalized because they have a significant impact on raising teacher performance and competency.
