Abstract

Family, as the primary educational institution, plays a crucial role in shaping individuals, and its harmony is essential for the well-being of all members. This study explores the concept of family education from the perspective of Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir's Manba'ussa'adah, focusing on maintaining family harmony. The research employs library research methods, utilizing two primary sources: Manba'ussa'adah by Faqihuddin Abdul Kodir and Menyelami Telaga Kebahagiaan. Data collection was conducted through documentation, and analysis was carried out using descriptive techniques. The study reveals that the curriculum for happy family education outlined in Manba'ussa'adah emphasizes providing fundamental knowledge to family members, particularly the husband and wife, to guide the family toward happiness. Faqihuddin presents three key stages in achieving family harmony: the first stage focuses on fulfilling basic physiological needs, such as proper nutrition, rest, and sexual fulfillment; the second stage involves establishing good relationships through principles like mutual acceptance (taraadhin), marriage contracts (mistsaqan galidzan), and effective communication (tasyawur); the third stage highlights reproductive health, including hygiene, pregnancy preparation, and joint responsibility in raising children. This framework offers valuable insights into maintaining a harmonious family life, fostering an environment where every member can thrive.

Abstract

Introduction: Language education in Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) presents unique opportunities to integrate linguistic competence with spiritual development. This study investigated how language instructor mentoring utilizing foreign language habituation approaches enhances santri's spiritual and linguistic intelligence at Pesantren Sains Tebuireng. Methods: A qualitative descriptive design was employed with purposively selected participants including the chief administrator, language instructors, student language administrators, and santri. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, systematic observations, and document analysis, then analyzed using data reduction, display, and conclusion drawing procedures. Trustworthiness was established through triangulation, observation persistence, and peer debriefing. Results: Findings revealed that instructors functioned as multidimensional mentors—serving as teachers, spiritual guides, and role models—implementing systematic habituation strategies including vocabulary enrichment, multimedia learning, and performance activities. The tiered mentoring system, where instructors mentored student administrators who subsequently guided peers, effectively developed linguistic competencies across four language skills while fostering Islamic values of sincerity, perseverance, and knowledge pursuit. Supporting factors included instructor authority, collaborative structures, and accountability mechanisms, while motivational fluctuations, scheduling challenges, and incomplete immersion emerged as inhibiting factors Discussion: The study extends multiple intelligences theory and social learning frameworks by demonstrating specific mechanisms linking language instruction with spiritual development, providing practical implications for pesantren seeking to balance religious education with linguistic competence development.

Abstract

The rapid development of technology, particularly Artificial Intelligence (AI), has opened new opportunities to enhance the quality of education, including Islamic religious education. The Akidah Akhlak subject is still predominantly taught using conventional methods, which are often monotonous and less engaging for the digital generation. Therefore, there is a need for innovative, interactive, and adaptive teaching materials. This study aims to develop AI-based teaching materials to improve student engagement, understanding, and learning outcomes in Akidah Akhlak. This research employs a Research and Development (R&D) approach with both qualitative and quantitative designs. The ADDIE model (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) is applied to develop the teaching materials, supported by the Quizizz platform as an interactive tool for learning and formative assessment. Data were collected through interviews, observations, documentation, pre-tests and post-tests, and student questionnaires, then analyzed using thematic analysis for qualitative data and statistical tests for quantitative data. The results indicate that the AI-based teaching materials are highly feasible, with expert validation reaching 84% and student response at 83%. Pre-test and post-test analyses showed a significant improvement in student understanding, with the average N-Gain score increasing from 53.16 to 81.53, demonstrating high effectiveness. The findings imply that AI-based teaching materials not only enhance the quality of Akidah Akhlak learning but also provide an interactive teaching alternative that aligns with the needs of the digital generation. This study serves as a reference for Islamic educational institutions in leveraging technology to enrich students’ learning experiences.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse the integration of the Snakes and Ladders game as an innovative strategy in Diniyyah learning in Islamic boarding schools. The research background is based on the need for contemporary 21st-century learning that is more interactive, engaging, and effective in increasing student involvement in understanding religious material. The type of research used is R&D (Research and Development), by adopting the ADDIE development model to produce learning media products. The results show that integrating the Snakes and Ladders game with several Diniyyah lessons, such as Tajwid, Nahwu, Shorof, and Fiqh, can increase learning motivation, strengthen the understanding of basic religious and scientific concepts, and foster positive interactions between students. This media integration is also in line with the gamification approach that emphasises active and collaborative learning experiences. Thus, the snakes and ladders game can be used as an alternative, creative learning medium that is relevant to improving the quality of Diniyyah learning in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This study aims to critically examine the transformation of Islamic Fiqh learning through the implementation of a love-based learning model within the Merdeka Curriculum framework, specifically the shift from a cognitive-normative approach to student-centered learning, oriented towards pedagogical relationships, and emphasizing the internalization of values and character building. This study uses a qualitative approach with a case study type conducted at MTs An Najah Tebuireng 3 Riau. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, learning observations, and documentation studies involving Islamic Fiqh teachers, students, and madrasah leaders. The results of the study indicate that; 1) The implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum at MTs An Najah Tebuireng 3 Riau encourages the transformation of Islamic Fiqh learning from a normative and student-centered approach to humanistic, contextual, and student-oriented learning. 2) The love-based learning model is systematically integrated into Islamic Fiqh learning through value-based planning, dialogic learning practices, an emotionally safe classroom climate, and holistic evaluation that emphasizes student development. 3) The integration of the Independent Curriculum and the love-based learning model results in a comprehensive transformation of Islamic Fiqh learning across various paradigms, pedagogical practices, educational relationships, and evaluation systems, and is effective in strengthening students' religious character
