Abstract

Globalisasi merupakan fenomena yang tidak dapat dihindari dan telah memengaruhi hampir seluruh aspek kehidupan manusia, termasuk budaya dan identitas keislaman masyarakat. Perkembangan teknologi, arus informasi, dan interaksi antarbangsa menghadirkan peluang sekaligus tantangan yang signifikan. Di satu sisi, globalisasi membuka ruang pertukaran ilmu pengetahuan, ekonomi, serta kebudayaan secara lebih luas. Namun, di sisi lain, ia juga berpotensi melemahkan nilai-nilai lokal, mengikis tradisi, dan mengaburkan identitas keislaman generasi muda. Dalam konteks ini, pesantren sebagai lembaga pendidikan Islam tradisional memiliki posisi yang sangat strategis. Pesantren tidak hanya berfungsi sebagai institusi keilmuan dan keagamaan, tetapi juga sebagai penjaga moral, pelestari budaya, dan penguat karakter bangsa.Artikel ini menggunakan metode studi literatur dengan menelaah berbagai sumber tertulis berupa buku, artikel jurnal, dokumen resmi, serta laporan penelitian terdahulu. Melalui pendekatan ini, penulis berupaya mengkaji secara mendalam kontribusi pesantren dalam menghadapi arus globalisasi, terutama dalam menjaga budaya dan identitas keislaman. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa pesantren mampu mengintegrasikan nilai-nilai agama dengan kearifan lokal, sehingga santri tidak hanya dibekali dengan ilmu agama, tetapi juga dengan kesadaran identitas, sikap toleransi, dan keterampilan sosial yang relevan dengan perkembangan zaman. Pesantren juga berperan sebagai pusat pemberdayaan masyarakat melalui pendidikan berbasis nilai, pelestarian seni tradisional, serta penguatan solidaritas komunitas.Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa pesantren memiliki peran vital dalam membentuk generasi yang berkarakter, beridentitas keislaman kuat, serta tetap adaptif terhadap dinamika global. Relevansi pesantren dalam menjaga budaya dan karakter bangsa membuktikan bahwa lembaga ini tetap aktual di era modern, bahkan menjadi benteng utama dalam menjaga jati diri bangsa di tengah derasnya arus globalisasi.

Abstract

This research study examines the importance of the presence of teachers in shaping the character of students at the Tebuireng Science Islamic Boarding School. The data collected comes from observations and interviews at the location studied. The research findings show the great influence of the presence of a coach on efforts to shape the character of a student in the Islamic boarding school environment. The presence of a coach as a parent and educator in the boarding school can shape the character of students who are independent, disciplined, moralsocially minded, hardworking, and confident. supported by Islamic boarding school programs and curricula, as well as active coordination from all related parties, to create a conceptual and comprehensive system of character education in Islamic boarding schools.

Abstract

This activity aims to revitalise the role of Madrasah Tsanawiyah (MTs) teachers in improving the effectiveness of learning, caregiving, and counselling services through a genetic intelligence approach. The study was conducted at MTs Madrasatul Qur’an Tebuireng Jombang as part of a Community Service Programme (PKM). Observations and interviews identified three main problems: (1) 19 out of 21 teachers experienced difficulties in implementing differentiated learning due to challenges in recognising students’ characteristics; (2) student conflicts in the form of violence or bullying were not handled optimally; and (3) 4 out of 5 counselling teachers had not yet fully understood students’ potential and problems. The intervention was carried out through training in genetic intelligence based on the STIFIn intelligence model and learning strategies tailored to students’ characteristics. This community service programme consisted of (1) Genetic Intelligence Training, and (2) Learning Strategy Training. Experimental quantitative statistical tests through pre-test and post-test results showed a significant improvement in teachers’ understanding, with an average post-test score increase of 15% in genetic intelligence training and 19% in learning strategy training. The training had a positive impact on enhancing teachers’ competences in (a) recognising students’ potential and learning styles, (b) resolving student conflicts, and (c) providing more targeted and effective counselling services. Furthermore, this approach can be disseminated to other similar educational institutions.

Abstract

Objectives: This study examined the influence of school–parent collaboration and family environment on the character development of madrasah ibtidaiyah students in Jombang, Indonesia. Method: Using a quantitative approach and associative descriptive method, the study involved purposive sampling of 23 units of madrasah ibtidaiyah in Jombang, Indonesia, with 47 paired respondents.  The questionnaire measured three variables: School–Parent Collaboration based on Epstein’s model, Family Environment based on Baumrind’s parenting theory, and Student Character based on Lickona and Zubaedi.  Data analysis included tests for normality, multicollinearity, heteroscedasticity, and multiple linear regression. Results: The results showed that school–parent collaboration had no effect on character education, family environment had no effect on character education. and school–parent collaboration and family environment together had no effect on character education, contributing only 2.4%. Theoretical Contribution: The theoretical contributions of this study are: 1) supporting Bronfenbrenner’s ecological theory, Vygotsky’s theory of the Zone of Proximal Development (ZPD), and Bandura’s social theory; 2) identifying character values in Islamic education, such as ṣidq (honesty), amānah (responsibility), ṣabr (patience), raḥmah (compassion), discipline, 'adl (justice), and solidarity; and 3) proposing character education strategies that include syirkah tarbawiyyah (education with true partnership), mas'ūliyyah musytarakah (spiritual responsibility), uswah ḥasanah (exemplary behavior), tarbiyah raqamiyyah (digital education), and tawāzun tarbawī (balanced education).   Implication Future research should adopt longitudinal approaches and broader factors.

Abstract

The digital era has brought many significant changes in various aspects of life, including education. Islamic education in Madrasah is required to be more creative, adaptive and responsive, especially in the subject of Moral Faith.  Low digital literacy of teachers and limited infrastructure are obstacles to innovation in the modern era. Therefore, the purpose of this service is to implement artificial intelligence in the form of Canva and Quizizz in learning Akidah Akhlak in order to strengthen the character of students in the Tebuireng Jombang Islamic Boarding School, namely MTs Salafiyah Syafi'iyah and MA Salafiyah Syafi'iyah. The service method used is Participatory Action Research (PAR) which actively involves teachers and students in each stage, starting from problem identification to evaluation. The results of the service showed that the teachers participated in the training well and were filled with high enthusiasm. Using artificial intelligence-based learning media in the form of Canva and Quizizz can increase knowledge, increase creativity, improve skills, make it easier for teachers to deliver material, make it easier for teachers to evaluate learning outcomes through automatic assessment, and improve the quality of madrasah education. The targeted outputs from the results of this service are journals and books.

Abstract

This article will elaborate on spiritual education riyadhah in the personal perspective of K.H Hasyim Asy'ari, which will be discussed based on the thoughts written in his classic works. To answer this question, the author uses primary and secondary sources. Primary sources used are taken from several book manuscripts by K.H. M. Hasyim Asy'ari. In describing them, historical interpretation techniques and meanings are needed in a deep and structured manner. In addition, secondary sources used in writing this article are books and manuscripts that support the discussion of the author's problem based on sources that have high validity. The author finds data that K.H Hasyim Asy'ari provides another dimension in discussing, applying and practicing spiritual education values including through riyadhah. Riyadhah education is presented with a simple concept that is in accordance with Islamic teachings based on thoughts in the form of implementation of narratives and writings of his works with implied or explicit messages.

Abstract

Penelitian ini membahas pesan spiritual dan moral Syaikhona Kholil kepada Hadrotussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy’ari yang menjadi landasan dalam membentuk organisasi Nahdlatul Ulama (NU). Permasalahan yang diangkat adalah bagaimana pesan-pesan ini disampaikan dan relevansinya dalam konteks kepemimpinan dan spiritualitas. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis pesan-pesan tersebut melalui pendekatan historis dan interpretatif dengan teknik analisis isi dan deskriptif terhadap literatur terkait. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Syaikhona Kholil menyampaikan dua isyarah utama, yakni sebilah tongkat yang melambangkan kepemimpinan dan tasbih dengan bacaan Asma'ul Husna "Ya Jabbar, Ya Qohhar", sebagai simbol keseimbangan spiritual dan pengingat kebesaran Allah. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bahwa pesanpesan tersebut memberikan panduan moral dan spiritual yang mengokohkan tekad KH Hasyim Asy’ari dalam memimpin dan membangun NU berdasarkan nilai-nilai keimanan, kepemimpinan, dan keseimbangan spiritualitas.This research discusses Syaikhona Kholil's spiritual and moral message to Hadrotussyaikh KH Hasyim Asy'ari which became the basis for forming the Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) organization. The issues raised are how these messages are conveyed and their relevance in the context of leadership and spirituality. This research aims to describe and analyze these messages through a historical and interpretive approach with content analysis and descriptive techniques on related literature. The research results showed that Syaikhona Kholil conveyed two main signs, namely a stick symbolizing leadership and prayer beads with the Asma'ul Husna reading "Ya Jabbar, Ya Qohhar" as a symbol of spiritual balance and a reminder of the greatness of Allah. The conclusion of this research is that these messages provide moral and spiritual guidance that strengthens KH Hasyim Asy'ari's determination to lead and build NU based on the values of faith, leadership and spiritual balance.

Abstract

Globalization has altered Indonesian cultural values, leading to a loss of cultural identity due to the unpreparedness of Human Resources (HR) to face these changes. Nationalism, reflected in behaviors such as maintaining harmony and respecting culture, is a sense of love for the homeland. Religious education becomes key in shaping the character of children, especially at Sanggar Bimbingan Sungai Mulia 5, Gombak, Kuala Lumpur. This research describes the nationalism spirit of the sanggar students, the process of internalizing Islamic religious education values, and the supporting and inhibiting factors in fostering the students' nationalism, especially children of undocumented Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI). A descriptive qualitative method was used, with data collected through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results reveal that the internalization of Islamic religious education values plays a crucial role in shaping the nationalism of students at Sanggar Bimbingan Sungai Mulia 5. This process is observed through Al Ghazali's internalization efforts, which include goals, the role of educators highlighting teachers' roles in habituation and exemplary practices. The emphasized value components include itiqadiyah, amaliah, and khuluqiyah, undergoing stages of transformation, transaction, and trans-internalization of values. This study is unique in highlighting the situation of children of undocumented PMIs, who face significant challenges in accessing formal education. It offers valuable insights into how religious education can be an effective tool for fostering nationalism in such a challenging context.

Abstract

Education is a major pillar in sustainable community development. In this digital era, information and communication technology (ICT) has changed the learning paradigm, opening up new opportunities to improve the quality of education. One of the prominent innovations is the use of E-Bookmik as a learning tool in schools. The use of E-Bookmik has great potential to improve the quality of student learning. E-Bookmik allows easier access to learning materials, provides multimedia content, and facilitates interactivity in learning. However, to ensure the success of the implementation of E-Bookmik, effective curriculum management is needed. To describe this research, the author uses a qualitative approach with a case study research type and is supported by data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. After conducting research based on the approaches and types of research mentioned, as well as the theories used, it emerged that the use of E-Bookmik has been implemented well, in addition EBookmik can help facilitate access to teaching materials and make learning more interesting. And students can learn anytime and anywhere. Student learning outcomes increase in understanding and active involvement. E-Bookmik also helps teachers compile and update teaching materials more efficiently, and supports effective and sustainable learning. The use of E-Bookmik in Islamic Religious Education Subjects has great potential to improve the quality of learning. Students are more enthusiastic and understand the material quickly.

Abstract

Berbagai konsep dakwah dan jihad di zaman modern seringkali menyesatkan banyak orang dalam pelaksanaannya. Peneliti tertarik untuk menggali lebih dalam tentang implementasi dakwah dan jihad dari perspektif Hadrotussyaikh KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari, yang dipilih karena beliau adalah seorang cendekiawan internasional dan Pahlawan Nasional Indonesia. Penelitian ini memiliki lima fokus, yaitu konsep dakwah, konsep jihad, model implementasi dakwah, serta fatwa-fatwa Hadrotussyaikh KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari. Metode yang digunakan mencakup tiga pendekatan: filosofis, historis, dan interpretatif. Pendekatan filosofis bertujuan untuk menganalisis secara mendasar guna mencapai kesimpulan universal, sedangkan pendekatan historis berfokus pada pengkajian sumber-sumber lain yang memuat informasi masa lalu terkait implementasi dakwah dan jihad. Pendekatan interpretatif menganalisis realitas sosial seputar implementasi dakwah dan jihad beliau. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa implementasi dakwah dan jihad menurut Hadrotussyaikh KH. M. Hasyim Asy'ari didasarkan pada Al-Qur'an dan Hadis Nabi Muhammad SAW, serta beliau mendefinisikan dakwah dan jihad tanpa menghubungkan keduanya.
