Inclusion criteria, namely publications from 2015 to 2019, full text, discuss the use of clinical decision support systems by nurses of all research methods both qualitative, quantitative, mixed methods, cohorts, and surveys and use English.Result: Obtained six research articles according to inclusion criteria. Two studies on developing clinical decision support systems, two studies on evaluating the effect and experience of nurses in using clinical decision support systems, one study on the diagnostic accuracy of clinical decision support systems and one study on barriers to use of clinical decision support systems.Discussion:The clinical decision support system (CDSS) that can be used to support nurses' clinical decisions is NEWS and Tanner's reflection method but must first be tested and socialized regarding the benefits and how to use them to nurses, must be safe for patients and not detrimental to patients and hospitals

Abstract

Along with the increasing number of cases diagnosed with cancer, cancer treatment therapy is growing, one of which is chemotherapy. Chemotherapy is an indicated treatment for systemic, metastatic, and advanced cancers, whose use has increased from one to four in 10 patients diagnosed with cancer. This is because chemotherapy can reduce recurrence rates and prolong life. However, chemotherapy has some serious side effects, such as experiencing nutritional problems during and after chemotherapy, even continuing for the next year. Thus, the need for early screening to detect patients at risk for nutritional problems. The purpose of this study was to determine the use of appropriate nutritional assessment in cancer patients with chemotherapy. This research study is a literature review using PI(E)O (patient, intervention/exposure and outcome) to determine the keywords used in searches in several databases. The databases used are PubMed, Wiley Online Library, Science Director and Google Scholar. The keywords used are (Cancer AND Chemotherapy) AND (Assessment OR Measurement OR Instrument OR Screening) AND (Nutrition OR Nutritional Status OR Nutrition Score). A total of articles 134,274 were identified, after being screened for the last 5 years (2016-2021), in English, full text, duplication, and according to the title and abstract, obtained 73 articles and nine article include this study. The results of a literature search found nine articles describing nutritional assessments used by cancer patients with chemotherapy, namely; PG-SGA as many as four articles, NRS-2002 as many as two articles, MST as many as one article, MNA as many as one article, and a combination of MUST and PG-SGA as many as one article. PG-SGA is a nutritional assessment that is precise, effective, easy, accurate, simple, and has high sensitivity. In addition, PG-SGA can be used in conjunction with other nutritional assessments, and is proven to be efficient.

Abstract

The use of medical devices in patients treated at the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is very high. Patients who are treated in intensive care are also at risk for medical device-related pressure injury (MDRPI). This study aimed to determine the factors associated with the incidence of MRDPI in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) RSUP DR. Wahidin Sudirohusodo Makassar. This study used an observational analytic method with a prospective cohort approach. The Sampling method used a simple random sampling of 76 people. This research was conducted on 8 May - 6 July 2019. The data collection technique used an observation sheet with the research instrument used in the form of the Pediatric Early Warning Scoring System to assess critical conditions, the level of awareness was fully used Full Outline of UnResponsiveness score (FOUR Score). The data were analyzed tested by using the statistical the Chi Square with a confidence level of 95%. All data were analyzed using the SPSS version 21.0 program (SPSS, Inc. Chicago, IL). Factors associated with the MDRPI incidence include critical conditions based on PEWSS (p = 0.002), level of awareness based on the FOUR Score (p = 0.025), number of devices installed (p = 0.015), and fixation techniques (p = 0.025). As for peripheral tissue perfusion (p = 0.268), albumin (p = 0.309), skin moisture (p = 0.888) were not related. Factors associated with the incidence of MDRPI include critical condition, level of awareness, number of devices installed, and fixation techniques. It’s recommended to make preventive efforts.

Foot massage is one of the interventions that can help the elderly overcome these health problems. Objective: to assess the effectiveness of foot massage on the balance of the elderly by looking at the duration of time used, the benefits of giving foot massage, instrument of assessment of balance. Methods: The method of searching articles through electronic databases based on PubMed, Science Direct, Wiley Online, and Google Scholars. Result: The results of a review of six articles consisting of two Randomized Control Trial (RCT) studies and four Quasi-Experiment studies discussed the effectiveness of foot massage on balance. Given the length of time for giving foot massage for 10 minutes for each foot, the most effective assessment of fall risk is to use TUG measurement, as well as some benefits of foot massage including increasing balance which is significantly demonstrated by increasing TUG, increasing flexibility and function balance of ankle joints, and can be a viable alternative treatment for performance improving balance, foot ROM, and foot sensation in diabetic patients with peripheral neuropathy. Conclusion: foot massage is very useful to be done in the elderly to improve health status and can prevent the risk of falling Keywords : Foot Massage, Balance, risk of falling, elderly

Abstract

Abstract

The Prevalence of obesity among children in the urban areas is increasing due to less physical activity, high consumption of fast-food, and more time spent on using the gadget. This study aimed to identify physical activity among obese and non-obese children. This descriptive study involved 322 obese and non-obese students from 4th to 6th grade in an elementary school in Makassar. Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C) was used to measure children’s physical activity, while the anthropometrical parameter was measured using a standardized instrument. Children’s body mass index for age z-score (BAZ) was used to classify their nutritional status based on the criteria of Growth Reference for Children from 5 to 19 years old from World Health Organization. Cross-tabulation was used in analyzing the data. Obese and non-obese children in this study were found 53 (16,0%) and 279 (84,0%), respectively. A hundred percent of obese children have low physical activity, while non-obese children have better physical activity. In conclusion, elementary school students in this study have low physical activity, particularly among obese children. Children are rarely spent on their time to do physical activity. There is a need to promote appropriate physical activity among children to prevent and treat obesity among children. Health professionals could provide health education and counseling to children, family and/or schools to manage physical activity among children.
