Abstract

This Community Service activity aims to assist and enhance the school's capacity in developing a library profile as an effort to strengthen school literacy at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. The method used in this Community Service program is participatory mentoring and training. The mentoring process is carried out in stages, starting from data collection, document preparation, to profile finalization. A well-structured library profile serves as a comprehensive overview of the library’s condition, facilities, services, and development programs. The field implementation involves socialization activities, training, and direct mentoring for the school library team. This activity is expected to help the school develop a standardized library profile, support library accreditation, and serve as a reference for the development of school literacy programs. The mentoring results indicate an improvement in the school’s understanding and ability to systematically and effectively compile a quality library profile. Additionally, it encourages students and educators to better understand the role of the library in supporting learning and strengthening literacy, assists the school in documenting library data—including book collections, facilities, services, and literacy programs—and fosters the development of a sustainable school literacy program. ABSTRAKKegiatan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk mendampingi dan meningkatkan kapasitas sekolah dalam menyusun profil perpustakaan sebagai upaya penguatan literasi sekolah di SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Metode yang digunakan dalam Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat yakni pendampingan dan pelatihan partisipatif. Pendampingan dilakukan secara bertahap mulai dari pengumpulan data, penyusunan dokumen, hingga finalisasi profil. Profil perpustakaan yang baik berfungsi sebagai gambaran lengkap mengenai kondisi, sarana, layanan, serta program pengembangan perpustakaan sekolah. Pelaksanaan di lapangan dilakukan melalui kegiatan sosialisasi, pelatihan, dan pendampingan langsung kepada tim perpustakaan sekolah. Kegiatan ini diharapkan dapat membantu sekolah memiliki profil perpustakaan yang sesuai standar, mendukung akreditasi perpustakaan, serta menjadi acuan dalam pengembangan program literasi sekolah. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan peningkatan pemahaman dan kemampuan sekolah dalam menyusun profil perpustakaan secara sistematis dan berkualitas, mendorong peserta didik dan tenaga pendidik untuk lebih memahami peran perpustakaan dalam mendukung pembelajaran dan penguatan literasi, membantu pihak sekolah dalam mendokumentasikan data perpustakaan, termasuk koleksi buku, fasilitas, layanan, serta program literasi yang tersedia, juga mengembangkan program literasi sekolah yang berkelanjutan.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the effectiveness of the use of local languages in science learning based on the Technology, Health, and Culture (THK) approach in Bima. Using qualitative descriptive methods, this study involved grade VII students and teachers in several schools to understand how local languages and THK approaches can improve students' understanding and critical and creative thinking skills. The results showed that using local languages significantly increased students' understanding of scientific concepts, with an increase in comprehension by up to 33%. In addition, integrating the THK approach enriched the learning experience, improving critical thinking skills by 38% and creative thinking by 45%. THK-based learning models have also proven to be effective in improving students' cognitive, affective, and psychomotor learning outcomes. However, there are challenges in terms of technology limitations and teacher training. Therefore, this study recommends increased access to technology and further training for teachers to support the widespread implementation of this model. Abstract

This study aims to analyse the implementation of Total Quality Management (TQM) in improving public service quality at the Ilir Barat II Sub-District Office in Palembang, with a particular focus on employee education and training as strategic elements in continuous improvement. This study uses a qualitative descriptive approach through observation, interviews, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that the basic principles of TQM, such as customer orientation, employee involvement, and continuous improvement, have begun to be implemented, but still face challenges in terms of limited human resources, digital infrastructure, and the lack of optimal routine employee training. The novelty of this study lies in the finding that the implementation of TQM will not be effective without the integration of continuous education and training designed based on employee competency needs. This study proposes a model for strengthening the capacity of civil servants based on needs-based training and digital literacy to bridge the generational gap among employees in digital services. Thus, this study not only expands the perspective on the application of TQM at the sub-district level but also provides practical contributions to the development of employee training policies within the framework of quality-based bureaucratic reform.

Abstract

School libraries play an important role in supporting learning and promoting a culture of literacy among students. As an information and learning resource centre, the library not only provides a collection of books but also contributes to forming sustainable reading habits. However, for this function to be optimised, the library needs to have a clear and systematic profile. The library profile serves as a comprehensive description of the library's condition, services, infrastructure, and programmes that have been and will be implemented. This study aims to analyse how the library profile can be a reference in strengthening the literacy program at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang. Using a qualitative approach with literature study and participatory mentoring methods, this research involved direct observation, interviews and document analysis related to school literacy policies and library standards. Data analysis techniques used with data triangulation were conducted to ensure the validity of the findings by comparing information from various sources. The results showed that developing a comprehensive library profile not only facilitates library management but also strengthens accreditation, increases student engagement in literacy activities and opens up opportunities for collaboration with various parties. In addition, the findings in this study also show that library profiles can be an instrument in planning and evaluating school literacy programmes. With a systematic and structured library profile document, the library can be more optimal in supporting students' academic achievement and building a sustainable literacy culture in the school environment.

Abstract

Abstract This study aims to analyze the implementation of the Education Management Information System (EMIS) in improving school services at SD Negeri 12 Banyuasin. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method. Data collection techniques include in-depth interviews, non-participant observation, and document analysis. Informants in this study include the school principal, teachers, the school committee, and parents of students. Data analysis techniques are conducted through the stages of data reduction, data presentation, and systematic drawing of conclusions. The study’s results indicate that implementing a web-based Education Management Information System can enhance administrative efficiency, increase information transparency, and promote parent involvement in education. This system facilitates access to educational programs, extracurricular activities, and student development, thereby supporting more effective and data-driven school management. The findings also show a decrease in administrative errors, an improvement in decision-making quality, and strengthened communication between the school and the community. However, challenges such as limited human resources, inadequate technical training, and technological access gaps remain obstacles. To address these issues, it is recommended that human resource capacity be strengthened, infrastructure optimized urgently, and community outreach enhanced. Overall, the Education Management Information System is a significant innovation that enhances the quality of school services transparently and efficiently. Abstrak Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penerapan Sistem Informasi Manajemen Pendidikan (EMIS) dalam meningkatkan layanan sekolah di SD Negeri 12 Banyuasin. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Teknik pengumpulan data meliputi wawancara mendalam, observasi non-partisipan, dan studi dokumentasi. Informan dalam penelitian ini meliputi kepala sekolah, guru, komite sekolah, dan orang tua siswa. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui tahapan reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan secara sistematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa penerapan SIM Pendidikan berbasis situs web mampu meningkatkan efisiensi administrasi, transparansi informasi, serta keterlibatan orang tua dalam pendidikan. Sistem ini mempermudah akses terhadap program pendidikan, kegiatan ekstrakurikuler, dan perkembangan siswa, sehingga mendukung manajemen sekolah yang lebih efektif dan berbasis data. Temuan juga menunjukkan adanya penurunan kesalahan administrasi, peningkatan kualitas pengambilan keputusan, serta penguatan komunikasi antara sekolah dan masyarakat. Meskipun demikian, kendala seperti keterbatasan sumber daya manusia, pelatihan teknis yang belum memadai, serta kesenjangan akses teknologi masih menjadi hambatan. Untuk mengatasi hal tersebut, disarankan adanya penguatan kapasitas SDM, optimalisasi infrastruktur, dan peningkatan sosialisasi kepada masyarakat. Secara keseluruhan, SIM Pendidikan merupakan inovasi penting dalam meningkatkan mutu layanan sekolah secara transparan dan efisien.

Abstract

Background: Work-related stress remains a major concern among healthcare professionals, significantly affecting their mental, physical, and psychological well-being. Emotional intelligence is recognized as a crucial factor that can influence how individuals experience and manage occupational stress. At the Kawatuna Public Health Center in Palu City, healthcare workers are frequently exposed to stressors such as time pressure, high job responsibility, inadequate work environments, and demanding patient characteristics. These stressors can lead to emotional disturbances, including increased sensitivity, emotional detachment, and reduced motivation. Objectives: This study aimed to examine the relationship between emotional intelligence encompassing self-awareness, self-regulation, self-motivation, empathy, and social skills and work-related stress among healthcare workers at the Kawatuna Public Health Center. Methods: This was a quantitative study using a cross-sectional analytic survey design. Total sampling was applied, involving 40 eligible respondents. Data were collected using structured questionnaires: a Likert-scale emotional intelligence instrument and the WHO DASS questionnaire to assess work-related stress. Data analysis was performed using the Chi-Square test. Results: To revealed significant associations between emotional intelligence components and work-related stress: self-awareness (p = 0.001), self-regulation (p = 0.001), self-motivation (p = 0.031), empathy (p = 0.020), and social skills (p = 0.012). Higher emotional intelligence was associated with lower stress levels. Conclusion: Enhancing emotional intelligence through training and psychological support can be a valuable strategy in reducing work-related stress among healthcare workers. Abstract

In today's digital era, audiovisual-based promotional media has become a strategic means of building the image and appeal of institutions, including educational institutions. SMA Negeri 1 Palembang, as one of the leading schools, needs to utilize digital media to convey information in a more engaging, interactive way and reach a wider audience. A school profile video is an effective communication tool to introduce the school's identity, vision and mission, achievements, and facilities to the broader public. The assistance process was carried out through several stages, including planning, production, and video editing, involving both students and educators. The method used in the Assistance Program for Creating a School Profile Video as a Promotional Medium at SMA Negeri 1 Palembang included observation and needs analysis, planning the assistance program, implementation, and identifying the expected outcomes. The results of the assistance showed that the process had a positive impact, both in enhancing students' technical skills in digital media production and in strengthening the school’s image as an excellent and competitive educational institution. The resulting profile video has proven to be an effective promotional medium in attracting prospective students and introducing SMA Negeri 1 Palembang to the broader community. Therefore, this assistance contributed to the development of the school’s digital media-based marketing strategy.ABSTRAKDi era digital saat ini, media promosi berbasis audiovisual menjadi sarana strategis dalam membangun citra dan daya tarik suatu lembaga, termasuk lembaga pendidikan. SMA Negeri 1 Palembang sebagai salah satu sekolah unggulan, perlu memanfaatkan media digital untuk menyampaikan informasi secara lebih menarik, interaktif, dan menjangkau khalayak luas. Video profil merupakan alat komunikasi yang efektif untuk memperkenalkan identitas, visi-misi, prestasi, serta fasilitas sekolah kepada masyarakat luas. Pendampingan dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu perencanaan, produksi, hingga penyuntingan video dengan melibatkan siswa dan tenaga pendidik. Metode yang digunakan dalam Pendampingan Pembuatan Video Profil Sekolah Sebagai Media Promosi di SMA Negeri 1 Palembang dengan tahapan observasi dan analisis kebutuhan, perencanaan program pendampingan, implementasi pendampingan dan luaran yang diharapkan. Hasil pendampingan menunjukkan bahwa proses pendampingan memberikan dampak positif, baik dalam meningkatkan keterampilan teknis siswa dalam produksi media digital maupun dalam memperkuat citra sekolah sebagai institusi pendidikan yang unggul dan berdaya saing. Video profil yang dihasilkan menjadi media promosi yang efektif dalam menarik calon siswa baru dan memperkenalkan SMA Negeri 1 Palembang kepada masyarakat luas. Dengan demikian, pendampingan ini berkontribusi dalam pengembangan strategi pemasaran sekolah berbasis media digital.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji pengaruh implementasi gamifikasi pada Moodle terhadap pemahaman algoritma siswa SMP. Penelitian menggunakan desain kuasi-eksperimen dengan melibatkan 120 siswa dari kelas VII dan VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Bolo yang dibagi menjadi kelompok eksperimen dan kelompok kontrol. Data dikumpulkan melalui pretest, posttest, angket motivasi belajar, dan lembar observasi keterlibatan siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman algoritma siswa yang mengikuti pembelajaran berbasis gamifikasi Moodle dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran Moodle konvensional. Temuan juga menunjukkan bahwa gamifikasi meningkatkan motivasi dan partisipasi aktif siswa selama proses pembelajaran. Dengan demikian, integrasi gamifikasi pada Moodle efektif digunakan untuk meningkatkan pemahaman algoritma siswa SMP.

Abstract

Radio memiliki peran strategis dalam mendukung pendidikan di wilayah dengan keterbatasan akses infrastruktur digital. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis penggunaan media Radio Republik Indonesia (RRI) sebagai sarana penyiaran pendidikan di Pekanbaru dan Kuantan Singingi. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode fenomenologi, melibatkan delapan informan yang dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur, observasi, dan dokumentasi, kemudian dianalisis menggunakan perangkat lunak NVivo untuk mengidentifikasi tema-tema utama. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa radio memainkan peran penting dalam meningkatkan akses pendidikan di daerah terpencil, meskipun menghadapi tantangan seperti keterbatasan sinyal dan kurangnya variasi konten. Lima tema utama yang teridentifikasi meliputi peran radio dalam akses pendidikan, kualitas siaran pendidikan, efektivitas siaran terhadap kebutuhan masyarakat, tantangan teknis dan non-teknis dalam penyiaran, serta preferensi konten berdasarkan kebutuhan lokal. Penelitian ini memberikan implikasi praktis bahwa radio, dengan integrasi teknologi digital, dapat terus menjadi media pendidikan yang efektif di era digital, khususnya dengan menyesuaikan konten berdasarkan kebutuhan masyarakat lokal. Studi ini menegaskan pentingnya radio sebagai jembatan penghubung informasi pendidikan, terutama di wilayah yang sulit dijangkau oleh teknologi modern.

Abstract

This study aims to determine and describe the mental health impacts that arise in adolescents during the stay-at-home period of the COVID-19 pandemic. This type of research was a Mix Method with a Sequential Explanatory approach with a Participant Selection model. There were 12 informants in this study consisting of 6 primary informants, 3 key informants, and 3 additional informants. The population in this study amounted to 1000 people with a total sampling technique. The results showed that the highest frequency of each variable was very severe anxiety amounting to 313 people, Normal Stress was 511 people, and normal depression was 548 people. Loneliness, confinedness, academic pressure, parental pressure, family relationships, and fear of infection negatively affect adolescents' mental health. The impact of anxiety on adolescents during the Stay at the home period of the COVID-19 pandemic is feeling fear of contracting COVID-19 either themselves or those close to them. The impact of stress on adolescents during the stay at home period of the COVID-19 pandemic is that it is difficult to focus when online learning, feeling lonely being at home continuously, feel bored at home and feel like they are confined because they can't go anywhere during this pandemic. The impact of depression on adolescents during the stay at home period of the COVID-19 pandemic is that, overall, there are actually few teenagers who appear to be experiencing depression or symptoms of depression
