Abstract

The aim of this research was to create game simulation which appropriate and effective as media development of group counseling model through simulation game technique to improve students? team work in study at fifth grade of elementary school. This was a Research and Development. The result of analysis showed that test result index from Test of Interrater agreement Model was 1.00, it could be concluded that guidance book assessment by two experts had very good validity with almost perfect agreement level, it meant two experts gave same scoring to the simulation game technique product. The result of the test was supported by treatment result that was tcount 7.823 and ttable 1.69552, it meant the hypothesis was proven. The conclusion of this research was group counseling model through simulation game technique was effective to improve students? team work in study at fifth grade of elementary school.

Abstract

This research was Research and Development which produced a teachers? guides that is worthy and effective as the development of guidance material on self confidence to enhance the self leadership of fifth grade student of elementary school. Results of the analysis expert-practitioners examination showed that the guidance material were proved in good categories. The results of these examination are supported by a small group of examination results which indicated a high acceptability. Results of examination trial product on limited subject showed that the hypothesis was proven. The conclusions of this study is the implementation of the guidance about self confidence is deveserves and effective to enhance self leadership of the elementary school student.

Abstract

Purpose-Assertive communication skill is the ability to express feelings and thoughts clearly and honestly without offending others.Students? behavior such as being afraid of disappointing others,  liked or accepted, or hurting someone else?s feeling make students difficult to express their thoughts and feelings. This research aims to enhance students' skills in assertive communication. Method-This research applied Research and Development approach.The sample of this study were of20 students of grade XI IPA 3 SMA Al Islam 1 Surakarta. The subjects wereselected purposively from 40 students with low average scores of assertive communication skills. Findings-From the results of pretest-posttest, the students' assertive communication skills improved. It was indicated by the results of quantitative analysis by Mann-Whitney U test showing the z values -2.981 and probability (p) 0.003 (? <0.05) and Wilcoxon T test showing the z values ??-3.922 and probability (p) 0.000 (? <0.05). It meant that Assertivensess Training was effective to enhance students' assertive communication skills.   Keywords : Assertiveness Training, Assertive Communication Skills

Abstract

This research is conducted based on children with special needs in Vocational High Schools, which has no good career maturity. Moreover, there are no basic career materials for children with special needs in the Vocational High Schools in Surakarta. Therefore, this research aims to develop the teaching materials in the form of a career guidance module to improve career maturity for children with special needs in the Inclusive Vocational High Schools in Surakarta. The method used in this research is Research and Development (RnD) research. The data analysis technique used in this research is the categorization formula. The research finding showed that the developed module had been appropriately stated to be used according to the test result by both experts and practitioners' validators. Meanwhile, the effectiveness test result showed a score improvement of children with special needs compared to the previous pre-tests and post-tests.

Abstract

In this digital era, it seems that printed book readers are starting to shift to digital book readers through electronic devices, new technology has brought great benefits and opportunities in terms of getting information more quickly and efficiently. This study aims to analyze students' reading ability and the characteristics of the media needed to facilitate students' reading activities. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design, with a sample of 100 high school students. The technique of collecting data is through a questionnaire with the instrument consisting of questions that refer to the indicators of PISA questions to find out what difficulties students face in doing the PISA test, the results of the questionnaire are then analyzed descriptively using percentages. The results showed that the overall level of students' reading ability was still relatively low, through the questionnaire it was also shown that students were very interested in developing a learning media, with one of the prominent characteristics of the media being interactive. Therefore, students need an innovation in the form of developing learning media that contains certain characteristics according to the times so that it can be used as a means to facilitate students in activating reading skills. reading skills and reading interest.

Abstract

Textbook has a strong influence on the formation of children’s attitudes and value system. Therefore, Islamic textbooks as the main learning source for Muslim children in Indonesia need to consider the gender equality. This is very important to note, because feminists often view that Islam contains teachings of gender inequality. Islam places men in the higher position, while women are placed in the lower position. For example, men can be imam for women in prayer, but women cannot be imam for men. It is easier for children to learn textbook material presented in pictures. Therefore, the pictures presented in Islamic textbooks ideally do not contain gender bias. So, a research is needed to know if there is gender bias in the pictures presented in Islamic textbooks taught to Muslim children in Indonesia. To prove it, a literary research is conducted on the Islamic textbooks taught to the first grade Muslim student of Islamic Elementary School/ Madrasah Ibtidaiyah (MI) in Indonesia which includes pictures in their teaching materials. Islamic textbooks studied in the research include Fikih, Akidah Akhlak, and Arabic textbooks. The results of this study conclude that the pictures presented in Islamic textbooks taught in Muslim children in Indonesia contain gender bias. The man favor pictures are more than those of woman favor. Based on the conclusion, this study recommends an improvement of pictures presented in Islamic textbooks taught to Muslim children in Indonesia.

Abstract

This research is a Recearch and Development (R&D) by using ASSURE model. The purpose of this research is 1) produce interactive multimedia, which are appropriate with the students’ need 2) to enhance students’ vocabulary of Arabic language. The data were collected by observation, interview, questionnaire, and document. The result of this research is 1) test of media expert showed the product is considered very good, the result is 4.60, 2) expert of the material showed that multimedia interactive is considered good, with result 3,97 3) the test of one to one showed the average score of 4,26 means the product is considered very good, the test of small group evaluation showed the avarage score of 4,38 is considered very good, and the test of field evaluation showed the average score of 4,42 means the product is very good, the conclusion is product can be appliying in learning.

Abstract

 Pendidikan sangat penting dalam kehidupan dan tidak dapat dipisahkan dari kehidupan. Sifatnya mutlak dalam kehidupan seseorang, keluarga, maupun bangsa dan negara. Maju mundurnya suatu bangsa adalah banyak ditentukan oleh maju mundurrnya bangsa itu dilaksanakan sebaik-baiknya, sehingga memperoleh hasil yang diharapkan. Pendidikan Islam adalah pengembangan pikiran manusia dan penataan tingkah laku serta emosinya berdasarkan agama Islam dengan maksud merealisasikan tujuan Islam dalam kehidupan individu dan masyarakat. Pendidikan Islam bertolak dari pola pikir tentang padunya aspek teoritis (prinsip-prinsip) dengan aspek praktis prinsip diartikan sebagai permulaan, yang dengan suatu cara tertentu melahirkan hal-hal yang lain yang keberadaannya tergantung dari pemula itu. Jadi, jika kita berbicara tentang prinsip pendidikan, maka pelaksanaannya menggariskannya. Ajaran Islam  yang sarat dengan konsep atau prinsip tertentu yang mendasari prilaku yang diharapkan. Pendidikan Islam memberikan kontribusi terhadap pendidikan agar terlealisasi-kannya tujuan prinsip itu tersebut.

 Coreresponding Author:Asrowi@gmail.com  Di dalam dinamika kehidupan masyarakat, banyak dijumpai berbagai permasalahan yang terjadi yang menyangkut realitas kehidupan. Permasalahan tersebut antara lain berasal dari pengaruh persepsi masyarakat yang beragam mengenai segala hal yang dihadapinya. Berdasakan hasil observasi yang penulis lakukan, didapatkan sejumlah hasil/informasi yang aktual terjadi di dalam kehidupan masyarakat. Informasi tersebut berupa berbagai pandangan masyarakat baik positif maupun negatif terhadap lembaga pendidikan, terlebih lagi terhadap perguruan tinggi yang ada di sekitarnya. Sehingga, permasalahan tersebut membutuhkan sejumlah solusi yang bisa menjawab pertanyaan dan meluruskan pemahaman/persepsi masyarakat terhadap lembaga pendidikan yang ada, khususnya  perguruan tinggi. Di dalam penelitian ini, penulis mengunakan metode penelitian studi kasus yang termasuk ke dalam kategori penelitian kualitatif. Dimana penelitian merupakan prosedur penelitian yang menghasilkan data deskriptif berupa kata-kata tertulis atau lisan dari orang-orang dan prilaku yang dapat diamati. Sehingga dalam praktikknya, penulis menggunakan teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan dengan cara melakukan wawancara dengan tokoh/anggota masyarakat dan melakukan kegiatan pengamatan/observasi di lingkungan masyarakat

Abstract

Setiap individu yang sudah berkomitmen di dalam hatinya untuk beriman kepada Allah, dan agama Islam, pasti sudah mengetahui bahwa sebagai hamba Allah Swt dia memiliki tanggung jawab atas seluruh tindakannya, tidaklah punya pilihan lain kecuali menjalani kehidupannya dalam segala hal sesuai dengan ketetapan/peraturan dan hukum Islam. Hukum merupakan ketetapan sesuatu atas sesuatu, atau meniadakan sesuatu daripadanya.  Dalam Islam, selain Al-Qur’an dan hadits, ada juga dasar/pokok hukum lain yang dijadikan sebagai rujukan dalam menetapkan hukum dan keputusan,  dasar hukum tersebut dikenal dengan nama Ijma’ dan Qiyas.  Ijma’ merupakan suatu proses mengumpulkan perkara dan memberi hukum atasnya serta menyakininya. Sedangkan Qiyas merupakan suatu proses mengukurkan sesuatu atas lainnya dan mempersamakannya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif  dengan pendekatan deskriptif, Bentuk penelitian yang digunakan adalah studi kepustakaan (literature).
