Abstract

Psychological well-being is defined as the state of an individual who can have a positive attitude towards themselves and others and can make decisions according to needs by developing their potential. One strategy to overcome low psychological well-being is through narrative counseling. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of narrative counseling in overcoming the low psychological well-being of students who are victims of bullying. The approach used in this research is quantitative with a pre-experimental design. The method used was one group pretest-posttest. The research subjects were selected based on specific criteria made by the researcher. Data collection uses Ryff's Psychological Well-Being Scale which has gone through an adaptation process. The data analysis technique used in this study is the Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test to determine the difference in pretest and posttest scores. The test results are known to point to the number 0.028 <0.05. A significance value of less than 0.05 is said to have a significant difference between the pretest and posttest results. So it can be concluded that narrative counseling is effective for overcoming low psychological well-being. Suggestions that can be given to future researchers are to implement other research designs such as true experiments or develop narrative counseling media through research and development designs

Abstract

Religious tolerance is a key value in multicultural societies, and schools are often a suitable place to build understanding and respect for diverse religious beliefs. In the context of education, Islamic Religious Education has an important role in shaping attitudes of tolerance between religious communities. This research aims to develop an effective Islamic Religious Education learning strategy in shaping the character of religious tolerance. This involves curriculum development, teaching methods, and relevant approaches. This study used a qualitative research approach with a phenomenological approach. The methodology of this research involved distributing a prepared questionnaire regarding inter-religious tolerance attitudes in elementary schools. Involving surveys, interviews, observations, documentation, and data analysis then providing a detailed description of the data collected. The steps in conducting research with a phenomenological approach, namely determining the location and individuals, data collection techniques, data recording procedures, field issues, and data storage stages. The results of this study show that (1) the curriculum design integrates tolerance values. (2) educators consistently incorporate teachings about toleration between religious groups into their teaching materials (3) educators serve as role models by symbolizing a tolerant lifestyle, and (4) organize significant religious events and community activities to further promote tolerance.

Abstract

This causal correlational study aims to find out the effect of factors of digital technology on guidance and counseling teachers’ usage of guidance and counseling media. It involved eighty-five guidance and counseling teachers in seven regions, recruited using a convenience sampling technique. Data were garnered using the Attitude scale for digital technology developed by Emine [1], which has been considered valid and highly reliable (1.000). Data were analyzed using a linear regression test and path analysis using SPSS. The effect size of these factors varied, with the highest score observed in “technology for me” (75.1%), followed by interest in technology (70.3%), technological use (63.9%), competence (59.6%), social network (54.2%), conscious use (53.7%), recreational use (43.2%), and negative aspects (25.2%). These factors exhibited significant correlations with and influenced the usage of guidance and counseling media among guidance and counseling teachers in this study. Consequently, it is necessary to implement interventions aimed at enhancing the utilization of digital technology for guidance and counseling services.

Abstract

In this digital era, it seems that printed book readers are starting to shift to digital book readers through electronic devices, new technology has brought great benefits and opportunities in terms of getting information more quickly and efficiently. This study aims to analyze students' reading ability and the characteristics of the media needed to facilitate students' reading activities. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design, with a sample of 100 high school students. The technique of collecting data is through a questionnaire with the instrument consisting of questions that refer to the indicators of PISA questions to find out what difficulties students face in doing the PISA test, the results of the questionnaire are then analyzed descriptively using percentages. The results showed that the overall level of students' reading ability was still relatively low, through the questionnaire it was also shown that students were very interested in developing a learning media, with one of the prominent characteristics of the media being interactive. Therefore, students need an innovation in the form of developing learning media that contains certain characteristics according to the times so that it can be used as a means to facilitate students in activating reading skills. reading skills and reading interest.

Abstract

Artificial intelligence (AI) menjadi bagian penting dalam proses pembelajaran di perguruan tinggi pada zaman sekarang. Aksesibilitas yang mudah serta jaminan kecepatan kinerja yang cepat seperti layaknya manusia menjadikannya pilihan bagi mahasiswa untuk mempermudah pembelajaran. Tujuan artikel ini yakni untuk mendeskripsikan serta mengidentifikasi peran dan urgensi filsafat pendidikan sebagai dasar pelaksanaan pembelajaran yang menggunakan artificial intelligence di perguruan tinggi. Metode yang digunakan dalam artikel ini yakni deskriptif kualitatif dengan pendekatan studi pustaka secara komprehensif. Berbagai fenomena tentang pemanfaatan AI pembelajaran dibahas dalam artikel ini sebagai sarana untuk mengetahui kondisi faktual yang ada. Hasil kajian ini menunjukkan bahwa teknologi AI menjadi pilihan utama bagi mahasiswa untuk memudahkan pekerjaannya. Ada beberapa hal yang menjadi kelemahan dan ancaman dari penggunaan AI yang berlebihan oleh mahasiswa. Filsafat pendidikan memiliki peranan penting untuk memberikan tata aturan normatif serta alat kontrol dalam berpikir bagi mahasiswa agar tidak terlalu melenceng dari aturan ilmiah serta etika akademik yang berlaku. Filsafat pendidikan memiliki pandangan esensialisme, progresivisme, perenialisme, eksistensialisme, humanistik, dan rekontruksionisme dalam perannya menjaga marwah dan nilai luhur pendidikan di tengah penggunaan teknologi AI dalam pembelajaran.

Abstract

This research is constituted by the application of teaching early reading literacyimpplemented in some schools across ex-residency Madiun. The teaching shouldimplement character based teaching as an introduction into the ability of early readingliteracy. That is carried out for various reasons, for example, the demands of the students’parent, the demands of the furhter school level, commercial reasons, and so forth. Thisstudy implemented a combination of research methods. Initiated into content validityanalysis or analysis of existing learning contents based on theory of study the effectivenessof learning, then combined with observations and school interviews and literature study,narrowing the findings to lead the new concept for early reading literacy learning. 40Schools being randomly selected were used in this research in the ex-residency Madiun.These research findings illustrated the true condition about the application of early readingliteracy learning in the field. Referring to the findings of questionnaires and interviews,the teaching of early reading literacy was delivered in additional learning program.This made it possible to avoid infringement of the government rules about unpermittedlearning at that level. Besides, those were found the lack of some language componentsthat allows the imperfectness of introduction and readiness of children to acquaint thelanguage. Furthermore, it lacked involvement of children playing environment both athome and at school for learning outcome optimality. Finally those findings were used asa reference to create an integrated learning tools in the children’s playground in the formof teachers and parents’ guide.

Abstract

The era of modernization is characterized by rapid technological advancement, open access to information, and swift shifts in social values. Within this context, school-aged children, as the next generation, face major challenges including identity crises, moral degradation, and the influence of secular culture that erodes spiritual values. Tauhid education, as the core of Islamic teachings, plays a central role in shaping children's character and personality based on faith, noble conduct, and social responsibility. This study aims to analyze the extent to which tauhid education contributes to addressing the challenges of modernization and how its implementation strategies are applied in school environments. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach through literature review and observations in several schools. The findings reveal that effective tauhid education not only teaches the concept of the oneness of God theoretically but also successfully internalizes divine values into the real lives of children through teacher role models, curriculum integration, family involvement, and contextual teaching methods. The main challenges include formalistic approaches, lack of exemplary behavior from educators, educational dualism, and the dominance of secular digital media. Therefore, a synergistic effort among schools, families, and communities is essential in creating an educational atmosphere rooted in tauhid. Comprehensive integration of tauhid education is believed to foster a generation that is spiritually and morally resilient, capable of navigating the complexities of the modern world without losing their Islamic identity.

Abstract

Eco-Digital Pedagogy: Current Situation and Its Solution to Enhance Pre-Service Teachers’ Pedagogical Competence. Objective: This study aims to: 1) explore the existing model implemented in the classroom related to pedagogical learning, the use of technology, and environment-based learning; and 2) propose eco-digital pedagogy to improve the competence of 21st-century pre-service (trainee) teachers. Methods: This study was qualitative with didactical research design, focusing on the analysis of the implementation of pedagogical courses at the Geography Education Study Program at Universitas Negeri Semarang (UNNES). The subjects of this research were selected using a purposive technique and consist of twelve students who had completed pedagogical courses. Primary data, collected from interviews, were then complemented with secondary data from previous research, books, and online articles related to implementing eco-pedagogy and digital pedagogy. Findings: The results indicate that pedagogical skills learning, technology utilization, and environment-based learning have been applied, but the intensity, variety of methods, and comprehension are relatively low. Lecturers often underutilize technology as an educational tool and do not fully comprehend the ecological principles underpinning sustainable development. Technology adaptation is limited to the use of LMS, while eco-related materials are minor and not practicable. This condition requires improvement, one of which is through eco-digital pedagogy, a combination based on digitalization and awareness of ecology. It can be implemented through several steps: 1) designing a suitable curriculum, 2) providing adequate facilities, 3) increasing hands-on practice with real and relevant situations, 4) enriching pedagogical learning methods, and 5) utilizing platforms or digital media as a teaching space and a campaign for promoting environmental awareness. Conclusion: Digital and eco-related learnings are found to be minimally implemented, thus the learning outputs are not optimal. Eco-digital pedagogy can be applied to enhance the learning quality of pedagogical courses. Keywords: eco-digital pedagogy, geography trainee teacher, 21st century.

Abstract

The rapid development of the era requires guidance and counseling teachers to be more creative in providing services. The purpose of this study is to determine the level of 21st century skills based on the Internet of Things (IoT) based on categorization. The sample of this study was 53 people consisting of school counselors in Sukoharjo and students of professional education and counselling teachers at one university. The method used is a one-shot case study. The results showed that the average 21st century counsellor's skills of 54.3% were in the 'medium' category. This can be interpreted that the skills of 21st century counsellor when participating in IoT-based skills development workshops have good criteria. However, it is possible that there is a need to improve skills again so that the quality of guidance and counselling services is getting better and more effective.

Abstract

This research aimed to determine teachers' motivation and work discipline towards the nomination of primary schools principal in the Karanganyar Regency. This research employed a quantitative method with a cross-sectional design. The research population was elementary school teachers in Karanganyar Regency. The research sample was 40 teachers determined through a random sampling technique. The researchers collected the data using questionnaires to be analyzed using multiple logistic regression analysis techniques. The results showed that motivation significantly influenced (p = 0.027) the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 14.19 (OR = 14.19; 95% CI = 1.36–148.27). Furthermore, work discipline significantly affected (p = 0.037) the nomination of the principal with an Odds Ratio of 8.38 (OR = 8.38; 95% CI = 1.14- 61.91). Therefore, the researchers concluded that (1) teacher motivation posed positive and significant effects on the nomination of the primary school principal in Karanganyar Regency and (2) teachers’ work discipline posed positive and significant effects on the nomination of the primary school principal in Karanganyar Regency. This research is expected to motivate teachers to have high achievements to be promoted and prepare themselves to collect the requirements for principal nomination.
