Abstract

Digital access inequality and the risk of dehumanization resulting from the integration of artificial intelligence (AI) demand a re-evaluation of the increasingly mechanistic orientation of modern education. This study aims to revitalize R.A. Kartini's educational values ??to formulate an ethical framework for inclusive and humanist education relevant to the challenges of the technological era. Through a qualitative approach with a historical-conceptual analysis design and a literature review of primary documents and recent global reports, this study examines the transformation of Kartini's thinking. Key findings indicate that Kartini's principle of freedom of thought serves as an antithesis to algorithmic bias, while her vision of humanization reinforces the urgency of authentic pedagogical relationships threatened by automation. This study also formulates the concept of "inclusive emancipation" that supports equal access for people with disabilities and identifies the alignment between Kartini's intellectual independence and the Unplugged Pedagogy strategy to maintain cognitive autonomy. It concludes that Kartini's thinking is not merely a historical legacy but has transformed into a crucial normative foundation for balancing AI innovation with human autonomy, ensuring that technology functions as an empowering tool that does not displace the essence of education as a humanizing process. ABSTRAK Ketimpangan akses digital dan risiko dehumanisasi akibat integrasi kecerdasan buatan (AI) menuntut evaluasi ulang terhadap orientasi pendidikan modern yang kian mekanistik. Studi ini bertujuan merevitalisasi nilai-nilai pendidikan R.A.

Abstract

Learning Japanese scripts such as hiragana and katakana often present significant challenges for beginners due to the similarity in character shapes, the large number of characters to memorize, complex stroke orders, and the limited use of engaging and interactive learning media. Without proper learning strategies and tools, learners may quickly lose motivation and face difficulties in mastering these basic writing systems. This study aims to design the interface of a mobile-based gamified learning platform intended to increase learner motivation and improve the overall effectiveness of the learning process. The Design Thinking methodology was employed to gain in-depth insights into user needs, involving five iterative stages: empathize, define, ideate, prototype, and test. The resulting interface integrates gamification elements such as points, badges, levels, and quests to create a more engaging user experience. Usability testing conducted using the System Usability Scale (SUS) produced an average score of 82.5, which falls under the “excellent” category with a letter grade of B. These findings suggest that the developed interface is intuitive, easy to use, and well-received by users.

Abstract

Low physics achievement among junior high school students, particularly on the topics of work and energy, indicates the need for more effective instructional strategies. This study examined the effect of a guided inquiry approach assisted by PhET simulations on students’ learning outcomes in Work and Energy. A nonequivalent control group design was employed, involving 30 students in the experimental class and 30 students in the control class. The instrument consisted of 20 multiple-choice items designed to assess students’ understanding of fundamental concepts in Work and Energy. The results showed that the implementation of the PhET-assisted guided inquiry approach significantly improved students’ learning outcomes. This conclusion was supported by the results of an independent t-test and a high effect size. Nevertheless, the study was limited to a single topic and relied solely on quantitative data. Future research is therefore recommended to investigate other physics topics and to incorporate qualitative.

Abstract

This study aims to develop Facebook-based learning content on human and animal locomotor systems to enhance student engagement among fifth-grade students at MIN 1 Kediri. The development process employed the Sadiman model, which consists of nine stages: needs analysis, objective formulation, content development, assessment design, scriptwriting, production, testing, revision, and final product implementation. The resulting product consists of learning content uploaded to a Facebook Group, including short instructional videos and visual materials designed to support interaction and discussion. The validation results indicate that the content is highly feasible, with a score of 89% from material experts and 100% from media experts. Product trials conducted at the individual, small group, and field levels yielded scores of 85.7%, 86%, and 83%, respectively, indicating that the product is practical and suitable for online learning. Furthermore, the field trial results show that student engagement reached 83%, placing it in the high category. Therefore, Facebook-based learning content has strong potential to facilitate students’ behavioral, emotional, and cognitive engagement in the learning process.

Abstract

Abstract : This study analyzes the application of Hamka’s educational method particularly the use of dialogue-based discussion and moral cultivation (akhlak) as a foundation for developing students’ digital ethics and moral literacy in the contemporary technological era. This research employs a qualitative library-research approach using thematic analysis of Hamka’s major works and relevant scholarly articles. The findings indicate that Hamka’s concept of discussion, which emphasizes open dialogue, rational inquiry, and deep understanding, is highly relevant for digital-age education in fostering critical thinking, ethical awareness, and the ability to evaluate the moral implications of online behavior. Meanwhile, Hamka’s emphasis on akhlak including honesty, etiquette, responsibility, and self-restraint functions as a value-based framework to guide digital ethical conduct in addressing misinformation, hate speech, and moral degradation in online environments. This study concludes that integrating discussion-based learning with moral cultivation offers a contextual and comprehensive model for digital moral education suited to the needs of 21st-century learners. It contributes to Islamic education theory in the digital era and provides an implementable model for teachers to nurture civilized, ethical digital behavior among students. Keywords: Hamka, educational method, discussion, akhlak, digital ethics, moral literacy
