Abstract

The Covid-19 pandemic has had an impact on the Indonesian economy. The purpose of this study was to analyze the causality and balanced relationship in the long term between RR, IR and INF variables during the Covid-19 pandemic. With the Granger Causality and Johansen Cointegration test methods, the results showed that there is a long-term balance between RR, IR and INF. RR and IR are one-way causality relationships, IR and INF are one-way causality relationships. There is no causality relationship between IR and RR and vice versa during the Covid-19 pandemic. The RR policy affects the determination of IR and IR affecting Indonesia's INF during the Covid-19 pandemic. To reduce the inflation rate during the pandemic, Bank Indonesia needs to implement RR policy through the determination of interest rates.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the relationship between Exports, Inflation, Money Supply, GDP, Imports, and Per capita Income to exchange rates. Where variable monetary policy (Exchange Rate, GDP, Money Supply, Inflation, Per capita Income) and macro policy (Export and Import). Using time-series data from 2010 to 2019. The data analysis model is a Vector Autoregression method viewed and sharpened by Impulse Response Function analysis and Forecast Error Variance Decomposition. The results of the IRF analysis know that the response stability of all variables is formed in the five or medium or medium-term and long-term periods, where the response of other variables to changes in one variable shows different variations from positive to negative responses or vice versa. Some variables show a positive reaction or remain negative in short to long term. The results of the FEVD analysis show that variable exchange rates in the short and medium term are recommended by the Variable Exchange Rate itself and the Money Supply Amount. At the same time, the long term is affected by Imports. Export variables in the short term are recommended by the Exchange Rate, while the medium and long term is affected by Per capita Income. Then, import variables in the medium and long short term Imports are affected by Exports. Variable GDP in the short and medium-term is influenced by GDP itself and the exchange rate, while in the long run, it is influenced by Per capita income. Inflation in the medium and long short term is affected by imports. The money supply in the medium and long short term is affected by inflation and imports, while exports influence per capita income in the short, medium, and long time. So that can be recommended in this study is as input for the government, namely through Bank Indonesia, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Banks of the State, which is the object of research in controlling exchange rates as an effort to maintain currency market stability in emerging markets of Muslim Countries through inflation control to increase price stability that can boost economic growth.

Indonesia as one of the emerging market countries’ utilization of external resources of foreign debt to a boost in increasing economic growth in addition to international trade that supports accelerated growth Economy. Using time-series data of the period 1988-2017 and using the simultaneous approach of Two-Stage Least Square (TSLS), the research results find out and showed that the foreign debt and reserves have a two-way relationship. The study findings that macroeconomic variables of significant investment affect foreign debt and consumption expenditures significantly affect foreign exchange reserves. It as a basic contributor to monetary policymaking by the government in reducing foreign debt by utilizing investment in sustainable economic development and improving the performance of international trade net exports as well as public consumption expenditures thus supporting the acceleration in increasing foreign exchange reserves.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the contributions of the variable interactions of monetary policy in the stability of goods and services prices. Where is the monetary policy variable (inflation, kurs, consumer price index, gross domestic products, the money supply, and interest rates). Research in conducted in the country of Indonesia and uses secondary data or time series from 2008 to 2021. The data analysis model in this study is Simultaneous Model. Simultaneous equations to analyze the relation between independent and variable variables found in the research country. Simultaneous analysis of equations on statistical test common equation 1 suggests that variable interest rates, money distribution, exchange rates and consumer price indexes have significant adverse effects on the inflation. Whereas in the same equation 2, it suggests that gross domestic product variables have a positive relationship that is significant to the ihk. And inflation has a negative relationship significantly insignificant to consumer price index. For this reason, the researcher hopes that the monetary authority, namely Bank Indonesia, can improve monetary stability and maintain the BI rate in regulating the money supply so that it can suppress the inflation rate as an effort to stabilize the prices.

Abstract

This study aims to determine whether the money supply, investment, consumption, and economic growth variables have a significant effect on inflation. To find out whether the variables of government expenditure, unemployment, and inflation have a significant effect on economic growth. The data analysis model in this study is simultaneous regression. The data analysis technique used is the quantitative method. Data were processed from the Central Bureau of Statistics from 2007 to 2021. The results of this study indicate that based on the estimation results, the t-count value is obtained, the money supply variable has a significant effect on inflation. The investment variable has no significant effect on inflation. The consumption variable has no significant effect on inflation. The economic growth variable has no significant effect on inflation. The government expenditure variable has a significant effect on economic growth. The unemployment variable has a significant effect on economic growth. The inflation variable has a significant effect on economic growth. In order to reduce the inflation rate to a low level, Bank Indonesia should use monetary policy to reduce the money supply.

Abstract

Abstract

Financial inclusion has become an essential topic in recent years. Its impact on economic growth, poverty alleviation, and reducing income inequality is evident in several countries. Indonesia as a developing country, where economic growth has slowed in recent years, the level of use of formal financial services still needs to be increased, and the decline in the poverty rate, which is not followed by a low Gini ratio, is necessary to study further how financial inclusion affects economic growth and poverty rate in Indonesia. Using the Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) model, we wanted to investigate the model's strength to achieve the objectives of this study. The results of the SUR model show that financial inclusion does not positively impact economic growth. However, we find the dimensions of availability of financial inclusion optimal for poverty alleviation and reducing income inequality well with significant adverse results. Meanwhile, the dimensions of accessibility and usability have no significant effect.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze how the balance of money supply to the inflation in Indonesia period is 1998-2018. Using the data time series from 1998 to 2018 sourced from Bank Indonesia, the research method used is the Error Correction Model (ECM). The results showed that there was a long-term balance relationship between inflation and the sum of the money supply over the period from 1998 to 2018. Inflation will decline over the next period to correct the short-term balance mistakes over the long term and the money supply has a positive and significant impact on inflation for 1998-2018. The increasing amount of money supply will have an impact on high inflation. Bank Indonesia as a monetary authority can suppress the rate of inflation by controlling the amount of money circulating in the community at any period to maintain the stability of the price of goods and services in the market.
