Abstract

Mathematics education at the junior high school level faces challenges in helping students visualize three-dimensional geometric concepts using traditional methods. Augmented reality (AR) has been proposed as a potential solution due to its ability to provide interactive 3D representations, yet research on its implementation in Indonesian schools remains limited. This study aims to develop and evaluate an AR-based mathematics application to improve students' conceptual understanding of geometry. Using the ADDIE model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation), the study involved 45 students in field trials, preceded by individual (5 students), small group (12 students), and large group (20 students) trials. Data were collected through teacher questionnaires, student questionnaires, pre-tests, and post-tests, with instrument validation conducted through expert review. Descriptive and inferential statistical analyses were applied to measure learning effectiveness. The results show a significant improvement in students' ability to visualize geometric concepts, with average scores increasing from 46.31 (pre-test) to 92.91 (post-test). The findings suggest that AR technology can enhance engagement and comprehension in mathematics learning. However, implementation challenges, such as access to AR-compatible devices and teacher readiness, require further study. This research contributes to the integration of AR in mathematics education and highlights its potential for broader adoption in schools with adequate technological infrastructure.

Abstract

Perkembangan teknologi digital dalam pendidikan maritim menuntut penggunaan media pembelajaran yang interaktif dan mampu meningkatkan kemandirian belajar taruna. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengembangkan modul digital Bridge Resource Management (BRM) yang valid, praktis, dan efektif dalam meningkatkan Self-Regulated Learning (SRL) taruna Program Studi Nautika AMI AIPI Makassar. Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh masih digunakannya modul cetak konvensional yang kurang interaktif serta rendahnya kemampuan regulasi diri taruna dalam proses pembelajaran BRM. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Research and Development (R&D) dengan model pengembangan ADDIE yang meliputi tahap Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Subjek penelitian adalah 20 taruna Nautika Tingkat III AMI AIPI Makassar tahun ajaran 2024/2025 yang dipilih menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Instrumen penelitian meliputi lembar validasi ahli, angket respons dosen dan taruna, tes hasil belajar, dan angket SRL. Analisis data dilakukan menggunakan analisis deskriptif kuantitatif, uji validitas Gregory, serta uji hipotesis statistik menggunakan paired sample t-test untuk mengetahui efektivitas modul. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa modul digital BRM memperoleh rata-rata validitas sebesar 89,25% dengan kategori sangat valid, tingkat kepraktisan oleh dosen sebesar 91,00% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan respons taruna sebesar 69,16% dengan kategori praktis. Hasil uji efektivitas menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar dan SRL taruna setelah penggunaan modul dengan nilai signifikansi 0,000 < 0,05. Dengan demikian, modul digital BRM yang dikembangkan dinyatakan valid, praktis, dan efektif digunakan sebagai media pembelajaran untuk mendukung peningkatan SRL taruna pada Program Studi Nautika AMI AIPI Makassar.

Abstract

This development aims to Identify needs, Design and Measure the level of validity and Practicality of Microlearning in Science Subjects for Class IX of SMP Negeri 4 Bontoramba. This study refers to the steps of the Four-D development model developed by Thiragarajan consisting of several stages, namely Define, Design, Develop, Disseminate. The study was conducted at SMP Negeri 4 Bontoramba with a total of 23 students and 1 science subject teacher as research subjects. Based on the assessment of material experts and media experts, the average score for the material aspect was 97% (Very Good), the media aspect was 96% (very good). Based on student responses to the development test, it showed that the average small group trial was 93% (very practical), the large group trial was 94% (Very Practical), and the response from science subject teachers was 98% (very practical). This development resulted in Learning Media products in the form of Learning Animation Videos and Gamification based on Microlearning at SMP Negeri 4 Bontoramba.
