Abstract

Abstrak Di latar belakangi oleh masih  adanya mahasiswa UPI Kampus Serang  yang belum  mematuhi jadwal kehadiran di kelas, mengumpulkan tugas  kuliah, kurang memanfaatkan waktu di kampus,  maka dibutuhkan sebuah program pengelolaan waktu yang efektif untuk mahasiswa dengan menggunakan teknik Kognitif. Metode penelitian yang dipergunakan adalah  quasi experiment, dan  menggunakan desain penelitian dari salah satu nonequivalent groups designs yaitu the one-group pretest-posttest design. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa UPI Kampus Serang tahun akademik 2012/2013 dan 2013/2014, yang  dipilih secara purposive sampling. Sampel penelitian dipilih berdasarkan data pendahuluan  mahasiswa yang memiliki keterampilan pengelolaan (time management) yang rendah dan sedang. Subjek penelitian dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok dan pengelompokkan  dilakukan secara acak. Angket dengan skala Likert dipilih untuk mengukur keterampilan Time management (TM). Pelaksanaan pelatihan TM dilakukan terhadap tiga kelompok subjek penelitian dengan menggunakan teknik kognitif yang berbeda. Kelompok 1 menggunkan teknik planning, kelompok 2 menggunakan  teknik problem solving dan kelompok 3 menggunakan teknik self-instruction. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui teknik yang paling efektif dalam meningkatkan TM.   Hasil penelitian menunjukkan terdapat peningkatan keterampilan TM sesudah melakukan pelatihan, hal ini dapat dilihat dari peningkatan nilai dari pretest ke posttest. Uji perbedaan rata-rata menunjukkan  bahwa ketiga teknik kognitif tidak memiliki perbedaan yang signifikan dalam meningkatkan keterampilan TM, artinya ketiga teknik kognitif memiliki tingkat efektifitas yang sama dalam meningkatkan keterampilan TM.   Kata kunci : Program pelatihan, keterampilan pengelolaan waktu (time-management), teknik kognitif, mahasiswa.

Abstract

Self-esteem contributes to an individual’s mental health and quality of life because it determines who they are, activities they do, as well as their personality. This study aimed to describe the development of students’ self-esteem through group counselling intervention with an assertive training technique. Employing a true experimental method with the pretest–posttest control group design, this study involved 191 students as the samples following Isaac and Michael at an error level of 5% of the total population of 420 students. From the self-esteem questionnaires, it was found that 28 students belonged to the low self-esteem group. Then, interventions were carried out in six sessions outside of class hours, with a duration of 90 minutes for each session. The data were obtained through the Coopersmith Self-Esteem Inventory (CSEI) instrument with a reliability value of .92, and analyzed using the Mann-Whitney two mean discrimination test. The results showed that students who were given group-counselling interventions with assertive training technique were better than those in the control group. Therefore, assertive training technique helps restore students' awareness of their rights to have a happy and esteemed life. Besides, assertive training technique helps renew students' confidence in the functioning of their minds and belief in their abilities in facing life challenges.

Abstract

This paper discusses the effect of CBT in improving students’ low self-efficacy on mathematics. Method being used was quantitative as well as single subject approach with A-B design. The target group being used were students of XI-MIA class. Results of research indicated that CBT was effectively improved students’ self-efficacy on mathematics. Students’ self-efficacy of post intervention was higher than pre intervention of CBT for each single subject of study. The authors recommended for the counseling teachers to use CBT as one of the techniques to improve students’ self-efficacy on mathematics. The teacher of mathematics were also expected not only delivered mathematical contents, but also are expected to strengthen students’ beliefs and self-efficacy on mathematics. For the following researchers, we would like to suggest to enlarge subjects not only for senior secondary classroom, but also for junior high school and primary school classroom. Suggestion also were addressed for subjects other than mathematics that students have lower self-efficacy, and with group setting.

Abstract

Kesadaran karier merupakan tahapan perkembangan karier masa anak-anak yang berpengaruh terhadap perkembangan kariernya dimasa mendatang. Penelitian dilaksanakan berdasarkan fenomena kurangnya kesadaran karier siswa SD. Penelitian bertujuan menguji keefektivan teknik modeling untuk mengembangkan kesadaran karier siswa SD. Metode penelitian yakni kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian  nonequivalent pre test and post test control group design. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas V SD Muhammadiyah Ponorogo. Pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen tingkat kesadaran karier. Pengujian efektivitas teknik modeling untuk mengembangkan kesadaran karier siswa dengan menggunakan rumus uji-t. Berdasarkan hasil ujicoba dan analisis uji data sebelum dan setelah pelaksanaan layanan terbukti bahwa teknik modeling secara empiris dapat mengembangkan kesadaran karier siswa. Keefektifan teknik modeling diketahui dengan adanya peningkatan rata-rata skor yang lebih tinggi pada kelompok eksperimen pada saat pretes dan postes. Sehingga terdapat perkembangan yang positif terhadap tingkat kesadaran karier siswa.  Kefektifan teknik modeling dapat meningkatkan kesadaran karier pada tiga aspek yakni pemahaan diri, pendidikan dan eksplorasi pekerjaan dan perencanaan karier yang telah dijelaskan perubahannya pada setiap indikator.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kemampuan motorik dasar anak usia dini dalam pembelajaran akuatik. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif. Subyek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa taman kanak-kanak di kelas B yang berusia 5-6 tahun sebanyak delapan orang (laki-laki 5 dan perempuan 3). Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan observasi terstruktur, catatan lapangan, dan dokumentasi mengenai motorik dasar anak yang meliputi pengenalan air, masuk ke kolam renang, kontrol napas, posisi tubuh, mengapung, dorongan lengan, istirahat lengan, gerakan tungkai dan gerakan kombinasi. Waktu observasi penelitian untuk pengambilan data dilakukan satu kali pada bulan September 2018. Penelitian ini bertempat di TK Laboratorium Percontohan Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia Kampus Tasikmalaya. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan kemampuan motorik dasar anak usia dini dalam pembelajaran akuatik berada pada kategori mulai berkembang. Hasil penelitian ini diharapkan menjadi informasi penting bagi guru dalam rangka evaluasi dan berinovasi guna mencari alternatif solusi dalam mengoptimalkan proses pencapaian pendidikan.

Abstract

Adolescent who got some addiction of online game has negative cognition. The research goal is to know the tendency profile of online game and to describe counseling hypothetic program of restructuration to reduce tendency of online game. This research used descriptive method where the population and sample is students of SMP Negeri 45 Bandung year 2015/2016 that consist of 323 students and the sample is 137 students. Deciding sample used non probability sampling with purposive sampling. The research instrument used questionnaire that point to addiction tendency aspects of online game. The result showed that: 1) generally, the addiction tendency of online game is categorized very low; 2) the result of data processing showed that addiction tendency aspects on mood modification aspect has 10 students is categorized average with percentage of 7,3%; 3) the counseling program plan of cognition restructuration is to reduce addiction tendency of online game on student that focused to reduce some indicator that is categorized low. The recommendation of research is proposed to BK teachers at school and researchers further.

Abstract

This study intended to build a character education model in an elementary school using traditional games based on the Socratic Method. This study used design-based research (DBR), with five experts helping to validate the character education model using a model evaluation instrument and 26 students participating in the model trial. As a result, the developed model comprises six elements: focus, syntax, reaction principles, social system, support system, and application. Meanwhile, the syntax, which consists of four steps: the initial stage, the transition stage, the working stage, and the termination stage, is the core of this model. Experts strongly agree that the model is in the "highly appropriate" category for fostering character development in elementary school students. There is a Socratic method in the developed syntax that encourages students to analyze the characters they encounter in traditional games. The study concludes that the proposed model can help students build character in elementary schools. Furthermore, this model can introduce and revive traditional games in Indonesia as part of the country's cultural heritage.

Abstract

Adolescent is defined as a period of transitional development from childhood to adulthood. This transition also requires adolescents to make some adjustment. Those who cannot adjust themselves to the transition may induce guilt in them. Guilt is an emotion that follows after a negative behavior. Gestalt counseling with empty chair technique can help counselees finish their "unfinished business", and one of the unfinished businesses is guilt. The research aims to test the effectiveness of Gestalt counseling with empty chair technique to reduce guilt among adolescents at risk. It adopted the quantitative approach with single subject research method. The sample was taken with a purposive sampling technique. The population included 16 adolescents at Yayasan Rumah Tumbuh Harapan in Bandung in 2018, with three adolescents with a high level of guilt as samples. Data were taken using Guilt Instrument. The research employed the A-B design. The results show a significant reduction of guilt based on the mean score in the baseline test and the mean score after the intervention. The mean baseline score of counselee ES was 67.01, and after the intervention, the score fell to 50.19; the mean baseline score of counselee FLO was 85.79 and went down to 76.72 after the intervention, and the mean baseline score of counselee PK was 77.64 and decreased to 63.91 after the intervention. Thus, it can be concluded that Gestalt counseling with empty chair technique is in general effective to reduce guilt.

Abstract

The school students still show aggressive behavior such as shouting, swearing and glaring when offended, mocking, kicking and fighting, all of these are because of the uncontrolled anger. The purpose of this study was to examine the effectiveness of sociodrama within psychoeducational group to improve anger management skills for class XI students of State Madrasah Aliyah 3 Majalengka. A quasi-experimental method with 30 participants of class XI State Madrasah Aliyah 3 Majalengka were administered. The random sampling technique was used in this study. The results of 40 items test for anger management skills scale obtained 30 items are valid (α = 0.90). Data analysis to determine the effectiveness of the sociodrama to improve anger management skills through Wilcoxon test. The results showed the skills to manage anger of students generally in the medium category, it means that students already have the skills to manage anger but it is not yet been consistent, therefore, sometimes students showed aggressive behavior and sociodrama technique within psychoeducational group is effective to improve students anger management skills.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena rendahnya prestasi belajar peserta didik kelas V di SD Negeri 13 Regol yaitu sebanyak 43% siswa nilainya masih berada di bawah kriteria ketuntasan minimal (KKM). Prestasi belajar merupakan hasil interaksi antara berbagai faktor yang mempengaruhi salah satunya adalah motivasi berprestasi. Motivasi berprestasi memberikan andil untuk meraih prestasi belajar yang optimal. Penelitian bertujuan untuk menguji hubungan antara motivasi berprestasi dan prestasi belajar berdasarkan urutan kelahiran. Penelitian menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif korelasional yang bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan prediktif dengan menggunakan teknik korelasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan angket motivasi berprestasi. Subjek penelitian adalah peserta didik kelas V SD Negeri 13 Regol tahun ajaran 2019/2020 yang berjumlah 50 orang dan terdiri atas 4 urutan kelahiran yaitu anak sulung, tengah, bungsu dan tunggal. Teknik analisis data menggunakan statistik  korelasional. Adapun temuan penelitian yaitu: 1) motivasi berprestasi anak sulung, anak tengah dan anak tunggal berada pada kategori sedang, 2) prestasi belajar anak sulung, tengah, bungsu dan tunggal berada pada kategori sangat baik, 3) tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara motivasi berprestasi  dengan prestasi belajar berdasarkan urutan kelahiran.
