Abstract

Abstract Problem solving ability is one of the abilities that students must have in learning mathematics. Teachers can make an effort to improve mathematical problem-solving abilities by using a learning model that encourages students to develop problem-solving abilities. This research aims to determine the effectiveness of the problem-based learning model for improving the mathematical problem-solving abilities of class XI TKL SMK Negeri 4 Semarang for the 2023/2024 academic year. The research method used in this research is an experimental method with a pre-experimental design type. The population in this study was all class XI TKL. The sample in this research was class XI TKL 1 which was selected using purposive sampling. This research uses pretest and posttest data. The results of the research are that the problem-based learning model assisted by interactive LKPD is effective in improving students' mathematical problem-solving abilities which can be shown from: 1) Students' mathematical problem solving abilities are better after using the problem based learning model assisted by interactive LKPD, 2)students' completeness is fulfilled, 3) students' classical learning completeness is 88.,56%, 4) the increase in students' mathematical problem-solving abilities increased by 0.6 in the medium category. Abstrak Kemampuan pemecahan masalah merupakan salah satu kemampuan yang harus dimiliki siswa dalam belajar matematika. Salah satu upaya yang bisa dilakukan guru untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis yaitu menggunakan model pembelajaran yang mendorong siswa mengembangkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektifitas model pembelajaran problem baased learning untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa kelas XI TKL SMK Negeri 4 Semarang Tahun Pelajaran 2023/2024. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan jenis pre ekperimental desain. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu seluruh kelas XI TKL. Sampel pada penelitian ini yaitu kelas XI TKL 1 yang dipilih dengan Teknik purposive sampling. Penelitian ini menggunakan data pretest dan posttest. Hasil dari penelitan yaitu model problem baased learning berbantuan LKPD Interaktif efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matemais siswa yang dapat ditunjukkan dari: 1) kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa lebih baik setelah menggunakan model pembelajaran problem based learning berbantuan LKPD interaktif, 2) ketuntasan belajar individual siswa terpenuhi, 3) ketuntasan belajar klasikal siswa sebesar 88,56%, 4) peningkatan kemampuan pemecahan masalah matematis siswa meningkat sebesar 0,6 dalam kategori sedang.

Abstract

Numeracy literacy is important to improve the ability to think critically and make rational decisions. The employment prospects, mental, physical and economic health of individuals and countries are negatively affected by low numeracy skills. Therefore, teachers must focus on increasing students' numeracy literacy with effective strategies and activities. Therefore, the aim of this research is to test the effectiveness of the PBL model on the numeracy literacy abilities of class X students in trigonometry material. This research uses a quantitative approach, quasi-experimental method, with a sampling technique, namely total sampling, as well as a population and sample of class Based on the results of the research that has been carried out, it can be concluded that the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model is effective on the numeracy literacy abilities of class score ≥ 75 (KKM). 2) The average numeracy literacy ability of students in the PBL model is higher than the average numeracy literacy ability of students in the conventional model. 3) The proportion of completeness of students' numeracy literacy test results in the PBL model is more than the proportion of completeness of students' numeracy literacy test results in the conventional model. Abstract

Adversity quotient functions as an indicator of an individual's fighting power in showing the extent to which they will try to overcome a problem. The aim of this research is to describe the mathematical literacy of vocational school students in solving statistics problems by considering the AQ factor. This research is a qualitative study involving one subject for each climber, camper and quitter personality type. Data collection was carried out through tests and the validity of the data was tested through triangulation with the interview method. The collected data is analyzed by reducing the data, presenting the data, and drawing conclusions based on the mathematical literacy indicators that have been determined. The research results show that students' mathematical literacy abilities are in accordance with their personality type, where the higher the student's fighting power (AQ), the better they are. mathematical literacy. Each subject is able to formulate mathematical situations and apply mathematical concepts. However, only climber type subjects are consistent in interpreting mathematical solutions as a whole, while camper type subjects are able to think but their conclusions are less precise, and quitter type subjects are unable to show a logical reasoning process or produce correct conclusions. Based on the results of this research, it is recommended that students and teachers can encourage the development of tenacity and a spirit of not giving up in solving mathematical problems.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to improve student ability to understand mathematic conceps. The research object was SMA N 8 Semarang with the research subject being class XI-03 students. Data is collected through tests and observations. The results of the research show that class XI-3 students' understanding of mathematical concepts has increased in each cycle. At the pre-cycle stage, understanding of mathematical concepts reached 25.7143%. Then, in cycle I it reached 66.8571% achieving learning completeness with an average value of 66.8571 and cycle II reached 85.7143% with an average value of 86. From the results of this research it can be concluded that problem-based learning assisted by LKS can improve students' ability to understand mathematical concepts.

Abstract

This research is classroom action research which aims to improve student ability to understand mathematic conceps. Abstract

In mathematics learning, students often experience difficulties that result in low student representation, teachers make learning innovations by developing media that can improve student representation in mathematics learning. This study aims to develop learning media from the perspective of the split attention effect to improve the multi-representation of junior high school students on the Pythagorean theorem material with feasible, practical and effective criteria. This study uses a research and development method that refers to the ADDIE model which consists of five phases, namely Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. The subjects of the study were grade VIII students at one of the junior high schools in Semarang City. The results of the study obtained were the results of media expert validation on the Intrinsic Cognitive Load aspect of 93.34%, the Extraneous Cognitive Load aspect of 95.00%, the Germane Cognitive Load aspect of 88.00%, and material experts on the Intrinsic Cognitive Load aspect of 95.56%, the Extraneous Cognitive Load aspect of 82.23%, the Germane Cognitive Load aspect of 93.34% with the category of feasible to use. The results of the student response questionnaire in experimental class 1 percentage of 71% and experimental class 2 percentage of 75.8% with the practical category used. While the post-ANOVA test (Scheffe' test) showed that there was a significant difference in student representation before and after the application of split attention effect learning media obtained a mean difference of 1.8333 and a sig value of 0.740 or sig> 0.05. There was an increase in representation based on the N-Gain test in experimental class 1 of 67.06% and experimental class 2 of 70.32%, this shows that split attention effect learning media is effective in mathematics learning. Thus, this study can provide innovation in the teaching and learning process to meet student needs with split attention effect learning media as an effective strategy to improve student representation in learning mathematicsMedia Pembelajaran Matematika Dengan Perspektif Split Attention Effect Untuk Meningkatkan Multi Representasi Siswa SMPABSTRAKDalam pembelajaran matematika siswa sering mengalami kesulitan yang mengakibatkan representasi siswa rendah, guru membuat inovasi pembelajaran dengan pengembangan media yang dapat memingkatkan representasi siswa dalam pembelajaran matematika. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan media pembelajaran dari perspektif split attention effect untuk meningkatkan multi representasi siswa SMP pada materi teorema pythagoras dengan kriteria layak, praktis dan efektif. Studi ini menggunakan metode penelitian dan pengembangan yang mengacu pada model ADDIE yang terdiri dari lima fase yaitu Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate. Subjek penelitian ialah siswa kelas VIII disalah satu SMP Kota Semarang. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu hasil validasi ahli media terhadap aspek Intrinsic Cognitive Load sebesar 93,34%, aspek Extraneous Cognitive Load sebesar 95,00%, aspek Germane Cognitive Load sebesar 88,00%, dan ahli materi pada aspek Intrinsic Cognitive Load sebesar 95,56%, aspek Extraneous Cognitive Load sebesar 82,23%, aspek Germane Cognitive Load sebesar 93,34% dengan kategori layak digunakan. Hasil angket respon siswa pada kelas eksperimen 1 persentase 71% dan kelas eksperimen 2 persentase 75,8% dengan kategori praktis digunakan. Sedangkan uji pasca anova (uji scheffe') menunjukkan bahwa adanya perbedaan secara signifikan pada representasi siswa sebelum dan sesudah penerapan media pembelajaran split attention effect yang diperoleh hasil mean difference sebesar 1.8333 dan nilai sig 0.740 atau sig > 0.05. Terjadi peningkatan representasi berdasarkan uji N-Gain pada kelas eksperimen 1 sebesar 67,06% dan kelas eksperimen 2 sebesar 70,32%, hal ini menunjukkan bahwa media pembelajaran split attention effect efektif digunakan dalam pembelajaran matematika. Dengan demikian, penelitian ini dapat memberikan inovasi dalam proses belajar mengajar guna memenuhi kebutuhan siswa dengan media pembelajaran split attention effect sebagai strategi yang efektif untuk meningkatkan representasi siswa dalam belajar matematika.Kata Kunci :Media Pembelajaran; Multi Representasi

Abstract

Creative thinking is the cognitive activities that process the received information to produce new representations. Therefore, it is necessary to develop creative thinking and represent a problem. This study aims to investigate the students' creative thinking processes based on representation in solving mathematical problems reviewed from cognitive style. Qualitative research was used as a procedure of the study. The data was collected through MFFT questionnaires, mathematics problem tests, and interviews. This research involved 31 eighth-grade students at one of junior high school in Kendal regency, Central Java. Those two subjects represented the reflective and impulsive cognitive styles that have been selected based on their mathematical abilities. The data was analyzed through iterative method. The results of the study showed that both subjects demonstrated a different performance in solving problem. In term of fluency, both subjects used visual representations in interpreting information. On the originality, the reflective subject used symbolic representations. while the impulsive one used symbolic and verbal representations in constructing the mathematical expressions. However, both of them have not yet created new ideas in solving problems. Moreover, on the flexibility, these both subjects used visual and symbolic representations that could solve the problems by utilizing the environment objects towards the interpret problems into mathematical expressions. However, the reflective subject made a mistake in elaborating the formula as well as the impulsive subject can do it. These results indicated that both subjects have used the representation of each indicator of creative thinking in solving problems.

Abstract

Penelitian ini didorong oleh minimnya tingkat literasi matematis siswa, terutama dalam mencari solusi dari teks narqatif yang terkait dengan kehidupan sehari-hari yang berkenaan dengan budaya lokal. Dengan demikian, perlu adanya terobosan pembelajaran yang bisa meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis siswa, misalnya melalui pendekatan PBL yang terintegrasi dengan pengajaran yang responsif terhadap Budaya. Penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui efektivitas model PBL berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching untuk meningkatkan kemampuan literasi matematis. Penelitian ini memakai metode kuantitatif dengan desain pre-experimental dimana peneliti hanya memiliki kelas perlakuan dan tidak memiliki kelas pembanding. Sampel pada penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TTL 1 di SMNK N 7 Semarang. Hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Pembelajaran dengan memakai model PBL berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching mencapai KKM, 2) Adanya peningkatan hasil belajar kemampuan literasi matematis sebelum dan sesudah di beri perlakuan, dan 3) Kemampuan literasi matematis siswa dengan model PBL berbasis Culturally Responsive Teaching lebih baik dari pada dengan model PBL saja.

Abstract

Salah satu kemampuan yang sangat penting untuk diperhatikan dalam pembelajaran matematika adalah kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengkaji efektivitas pembelajaran Multi Representasi terhadap kemampuan komunikasi matematis siswa SMP dalam menyelesaikan masalah matematika, dibandingkan dengan pembelajaran konvensional. Berdasarkan tujuan tersebut penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantiatif. Pengambilan data dilakukan pada siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 26 Semarang yang dipilih dengan cara cluster random sampling. Subyek yang dilipih dalam penelitian ini dua kelas yaitu kelas VIII E dan kelas VIII F. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan adalah metode tes dan wawancara. Teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji t independen, uji t satu pihak dan uji ngain. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh : (1) terdapat perbedaan kemampuan komunikasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang menggunakan pembelajaran Multi Representasi dan pembelajaran secara konvensional, (2) kemampuan komunikasi siswa dalam menyelesaikan masalah yang menggunakan pembelajaran Multi Representasi lebih baik dari pembelajaran secara konvensional.

Abstract

Kemampuan koneksi matematis merupakan salah satu kemampuan matematika yang penting untuk dimiliki oleh siswa. Keterlibatan siswa secara mandiri dalam mengeksplor pembelajaran matematika dibutuhkan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan koneksi matematisnya. Peran guru sebagai fasilitator dengan metode pembelajaran yang masih konvensional serta kurangnya pemanfaatan media pembelajaran membuat kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa kurang. Tujuan penelitian ini dilakukan yaitu untuk mengetahui efektivitas media pembelajaran interaktif multi representasi berbasis geogebra terhadap kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa SMP. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Desain penelitian ini menggunakan jenis Quasy Experimental Design dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif multi representasi berbasis geogebra lebih baik dari kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang tidak menggunakan, (2) Kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa yang menggunakan media pembelajaran interaktif multi representasi berbasis geogebra mencapai kriteria ketuntasan minimum (KKM), (3) Media pembelajaran interaktif multi representasi berbasis geogebra cukup efektif terhadap peningkatan kemampuan koneksi matematis siswa.
