Abstract

Penelitian ini merupakan pengembangan komik digital berkonteks lahan basah pada materi bioteknologi untuk melatihkan literasi sains peserta didik. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mendeskripsikan validasi, kepraktisan dan keefektifan media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan. Metode pengembangan yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah model ADDIE dengan lima tahapan, yakni analysis, design, development, implementation, dan evaluation. Penelitian ini memperoleh hasil validitas materi 99,04% dengan kategori sangat valid, validitas media 84,26% dengan kategori sangat valid, nilai kepraktisan yang didapatkan sebesar 95,5% dengan kategori sangat praktis, dan nilai keefektifan yang didapat sebesar 0,735 dengan kategori tinggi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa media pembelajaran yang dikembangkan sangat valid, sangat praktis dan memiliki keefektifan yang tinggi. Oleh karena itu, produk dari penelitian ini dapat digunakan dalam pembelajaran IPA pada materi bioteknologi.Kata kunci: Keefektifan, Kepraktisan, Pengembangan, Validitas. This research is a development of digital comics in the context of wetlands on biotechnology materials to train students' science literacy. The purpose of this study is to describe the validation, practicality and effectiveness of the learning media developed. The development method used in this study is the ADDIE model with five stages, namely analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation. This study obtained the results of 99.04% material validity with a very valid category, 84.26% media validity with a very valid category, a practicality value obtained of 95.5% with a very practical category, and an effectiveness value obtained of 0.735 with a high category. Based on the results of the study, it can be concluded that the learning media developed are very valid, very practical and have high effectiveness. Therefore, the products of this research can be used in science learning on biotechnology materials.Keywords: Effectiveness, Practicality, Development, Validity.

Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk menghasilkan produk bahan ajar mikrobiologi berbasis lahan basah. Bahan berorientasi lahan basah yang masih minim di lingkungan mahasiswa dan kurang menarik menjadi latar belakang pembuatan buku ajar ini. Buku ajar mikrobiologi berbasis STEM-PjBL, karena pendekatan STEM memberikan kesan pembelajaran yang menarik dan model PjBL yang melibatkan mahasiswa secara langsung dan aktif dalam pembelajaran. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan buku ajar mikrobiologi berbasis STEM-PjBL berorientasi lahan basah yang cocok digunakan sebagai buku ajar dalam proses pembelajaran. Penelitian yang dilakukan merupakan penelitian pengembangan dengan model ADDIE yang meliputi tahap analisa, desain, pengembangan, implementasi, dan evaluasi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah mix method (kualitatif dan kuantitatif) dengan 4 validator yang terdiri dari 2 ahli materi dan 2 ahli media. Analisis data diperoleh dari rata-rata skor hasil validator. Hasil penilaian uji kelayakan ahli materi diperoleh sebesar 88% dengan kategori sangat valid. Hasil skor uji kelayakan ahli media diperoleh sebesar 97,5% dengan kategori sangat valid. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan uji kelayakan dapat disimpulkan bahwa buku ajar mikrobiologi berbasis STEM-PjBL berperspektif lahan basah sangat praktis 4,20 dari skor 5,00 dan sangat efektif 87,60 dari skor 100,00 digunakan sebagai buku ajar perkuliahan. Keunggulan buku yaitu tipografi isi yang berfokus pada peningkatan praktik profesional tentang pemecahan masalah dan peningkatan kegiatan praktik langsung dalam konteks lahan basah.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of the implementation of the project-based learning model on the Pancasila student profile of students in the material of the structure and function of the body of living things. This study is a type of action research in the classroom (classroom research) to overcome problems in the classroom. The subjects of the study were students from Class VIII D of the odd semester for the 2024/2025 academic year, with a total of 37 students at SMP Negeri 7 Banjarmasin. This study was conducted in two cycles, each cycle reflected in the specified actions. Data collection techniques used observation sheets, tests, project assignments, and documents. The results of the study indicate that the implementation of the learning model in the Pancasila student profile has a significant impact on increasing the attitude of reciprocal cooperation and creativity of students, and that the PjBL model is effectively used for learning because it does not damage student learning outcomes. This can be seen from the results of the study in cycle I and cycle II which experienced an increase in both the attitude of mutual cooperation and creativity as well as the value of student learning outcomes which were overall declared complete

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis pengaruh lama proses inkubasi tanah pada pemberian solid dan abu janjang kelapa sawit terhadap pertumbuhan serta produksi tanaman tomat. Metode yang digunakan adalah rancangan acak lengkap (RAL) dengan tiga taraf perlakuan dan dua kali ulangan selama 13 minggu. Terdapat 9 kombinasi perlakuan dengan setiap perlakuan terdiri atas 3 biji tanaman, sehingga pengulangannya menggunakan 27 biji tanaman tomat. jumlah tomat yang digunakan total sebanyak 81 biji tomat. Perlakuan yang diberikan adalah pemberian porsi inkubasi tanah solid dan abu janjang yang berbeda-beda yaitu solid : tanpa solid, 0,5 kg, 1 kg dan abu janjang : tanpa abu janjang, 0,25 kg, dan 0,5 kg. perubahan yang diamati meliputi beberapa parameter yaitu tinggi tanaman, jumlah buah, dan total bobot buah pertanaman. Data yang diperoleh dianalisis menggunakan uji anova, jika data menunjukan adanya pengaruh nyata maka analisis dilanjutkan dengan uji duncan. Abstract

This study aims to develop innovative science teaching materials based on higher-order thinking skills (HOTS) to enhance students’ critical thinking skills on the topic of object classification. The research adopted the ADDIE development model, which consists of five stages: Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation. The study involved 60 seventh-grade junior high school students as research subjects. Data were collected using expert validation sheets, student response questionnaires, and pretest-posttest instruments to assess students’ critical thinking skills. The results of expert validation indicated that the developed teaching materials were categorized as “highly valid,” with an average score of 92.5%, reflecting the quality in terms of content, presentation, language, and design. During implementation, students showed an increase in critical thinking performance. The average pretest score was 58.3, which improved to 78.7 in the posttest. A paired sample t-test analysis revealed a statistically significant difference between pretest and posttest scores (t = 8.624; p < 0.001), indicating the effectiveness of the developed material in improving critical thinking skills. Furthermore, student responses to the teaching materials were very positive, with an average score of 88.4%, suggesting that the materials were well-received and engaging. This study provides empirical support for integrating innovative HOTS-oriented learning materials into science instruction, particularly for foundational topics such as object classification. The findings contribute to the field of science education research and offer practical implications for the development of curriculum materials that foster critical thinking in junior high school students. These results can be used as a reference for educators and curriculum developers in designing effective, student-centered science learning tools.    Keywords: ADDIE model, critical thinking, instructional design, object classification, science teaching materials.

Abstract

The process of creating learning materials in the form of interactive Powtoon videos with the aim of achieving a high level of validity, usability, and efficacy in helping junior high school students to improve their learning outcomes regarding the excretory system is the main focus of this research. Analysis, design, development, implementation, and evaluation are the five main stages of the ADDIE development model, which is the methodology used in this study for research and development (R&D). Tests to measure learning outcomes, student response questionnaires, and expert validation sheets are some of the methods used to collect data. Data analysis was conducted through validity testing using Aiken's V formula, practicality evaluation based on the percentage of student responses, and effectiveness analysis using the N-Gain value approach. The validation results obtained a score of 0.88, which shows that the media is in a very valid category. Meanwhile, the practicality level of the media reached 86%, indicating that the media is very practical to use. In terms of effectiveness, the N-Gain value of 0.67 is classified as moderate. Based on these overall findings, it can be concluded that Powtoon-based interactive videos are feasible as an alternative science learning media that is innovative, effective, and relevant in supporting students' understanding of excretory system material at the junior high school level.

Abstract

This study aims to develop guided inquiry-based science learning tools to enhance the critical thinking skills of junior high school students on the topic of additive and addictive substances. The research employed a development method using Tessmer’s formative evaluation model, which includes the stages of validation, practicality testing, and effectiveness testing. The developed learning tools consist of lesson plans (RPP), student worksheets (LKPD), and instructional materials. Expert validation results indicated that the tools are in the "highly valid" category, with an average percentage score of 92.5%. The practicality of the tools was reflected in the high implementation of learning activities, ease of use by teachers, and positive student responses. Effectiveness testing showed a significant improvement in students’ critical thinking skills, with an average N-Gain of 0.49 (moderate category). These findings demonstrate that the guided inquiry-based learning tools are not only theoretically and practically feasible but also have a positive impact on the enhancement of students’ critical thinking skills. Therefore, these tools can serve as an alternative solution for implementing instruction that emphasizes both content mastery and the development of students’ competencies.

Abstract

Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is a wedge between Content Knowledge and Pedagogical Knowledge, namely knowledge about the material being taught and how to teach it. The teacher's ability to understand the material and manage learning greatly determines the improvement of the quality of learning in the classroom in realizing meaningful learning for students. This study aims to describe the Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) for science teachers at the Global Islamic Boarding School Middle School (GIBS) regarding the classification of living things. This type of research is descriptive qualitative. Data collection techniques using observation sheets, interviews and documentation. The results of the study show that teachers can balance between two competencies, namely knowledge of material classification of living things and how to teach it using 7 aspects of Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK), namely Content Knowledge, Knowledge of Specific Context, Knowledge of Learners and Learning, Pedagogical Knowledge, Curriculum Knowledge, Knowledge of General Education Context, Assessment Procedures, Evaluation of Outcomes – Educational Ends, Goals, Purposes, and Values.

Abstract

Science learning must be changed by applying real and active science process skills which are shown by students being able to understand the use of tools, methods, and procedures and apply them in the discovery process and communicate them based on the evidence they get. The purpose of this study was to see the impact of the use of the inquiry model on science process skills and student learning outcomes. The research method used is a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods designed using a pre-test-post-test control group. The samples of this research were 7th-grade junior high school students. The length of the research process is 12 weeks. The results showed that there were significant differences between the two groups. This indicates that the inquiry model has a positive impact on students' science process skills. This was also accompanied by positive results on student learning outcomes in the group using the inquiry model. The conclusion is that quantitatively the fact that the inquiry learning model can improve science process skills and student learning outcomes is found. Optimizing the application of this model is needed to support progress in the education quality.

Abstract

Video pembelajaran berbasis animasi itu adalah salah satu bentuk media audiovisual yang menyajikan materi pembelajaran melalui gambar bergerak (animasi), suara (musik maupun narasi), teks, dan unsur visual lainnya untuk mendukung proses pembelajaran. Penelitian ini mempunyai tujuan sebagai  pengembangkan media video pembelajaran berbasis animasi dengan harapan dapat meningkatkan pemahaman konseptual peserta didik terhadap materi fotosintesis di kelas VII SMP. Hal yang melatar belakangi penelitian ini yaitu kebutuhan dari media pembelajaran interaktif serta visual yang dapat membuat peserta didik dapat memahami konsep-konsep abstrak, seperti fotosintesis. Penelitian ini memakai model pengembangan 4D, yang terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu define (mendefinisi), design (merancang), develop (mengembangkan), dan disseminate (menyebarkan). Produk media dibuat menggunakan aplikasi Canva dengan konten yang disesuaikan berdasarkan keperluan peserta didik. Validitas media diuji oleh ahli materi dan media, kepraktisan dianalisis melalui angket respon para peserta didik, serta keefektifan dianalisis dengan pretest dan posttest. Hasil penelitian yang dilakukan ini diperoleh video pembelajaran berbasis animasi sebesar 81,75 % sangat valid, kepraktisan dari video pembelajaran berasal dari respons positif peserta didik, di mana kelompok kecil menunjukkan persentase 95% dan kelompok besar mencapai 85,17%, keduanya tergolong sangat praktis. Pada tingkat keefektifan yang diperoleh adalah 0,74 untuk kelompok kelas kecil dan 0,72 untuk kelompok kelas besar, yang keduanya tergolong tinggi. Terkait dengan hasil penelitian ini, dapat ditarik kesimpulan bahwasanya media pembelajaran yang telah dikembangkan memiliki validitas, kepraktisan, dan efektivitas yang sangat baik. Sebab itu, video pembelajaran berbasis animasi ini dinyatakan layak dipergunakan dalam proses pembelajaran sains, khususnya pada materi fotosintesis.
