Abstract

This study aims to examine and analyze the effect of information technology competence and human resource development innovation on work motivation and employee performance at the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Selayar Islands Regency. This research employs a quantitative approach. The population of this study consists of all employees of the Department of Agriculture and Food Security of Selayar Islands Regency, totaling 98 employees. The sampling technique used is saturated sampling, in which the entire population is included as respondents. Data were collected using questionnaires as the research instrument. The data analysis technique applied in this study is path analysis, assisted by AMOS software, to examine both direct and indirect effects among variables. The results indicate that information technology competence and human resource development innovation have a positive and significant effect on employee work motivation. Work motivation is also proven to have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. However, information technology competence and human resource development innovation do not have a significant direct effect on employee performance. Furthermore, the findings show that work motivation is able to mediate the effect of information technology competence and human resource development innovation on employee performance. These results suggest that improvements in employee performance are not solely determined by technological mastery and human resource development innovation, but are highly dependent on the role of work motivation as the main driving factor within the organization.

Abstract

This study investigates the impact of Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) programs on employee performance at PT. PLN (Persero) UPT Makassar. Using a quantitative approach, data were collected from 56 employees through structured questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS version 29. The OSH program, encompassing workplace conditions, health services, and environmental safety, was measured as the independent variable, while employee performance, indicated by work quality, behavior, and personal attributes, served as the dependent variable. Results from descriptive and regression analyses indicate a significant positive influence of OSH programs on employee performance, with a regression coefficient of 0.761 and a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.676. This suggests that 67.6% of variations in employee performance are explained by the OSH program. The findings underscore the importance of continuous implementation and enhancement of OSH initiatives, such as safety training and personal protective equipment usage, to improve employee productivity and maintain a safe work environment. The study contributes to organizational management practices by demonstrating that effective OSH programs are essential for achieving optimal employee performance and workplace safety.

Abstract

This study examines the influence of office facilities on employee performance at the One-Stop Single Administration System (SAMSAT) Office in Gowa Regency, Indonesia. The study employed a quantitative research approach to analyze the relationship between office facilities and employee performance. Data were collected through direct observation, documentation, and structured questionnaires distributed to all employees of the SAMSAT Office using a saturated sampling technique. A total of 43 employees participated as respondents. The research instrument utilized a Likert scale and the collected data were analyzed using simple linear regression with the assistance of Statistical Package for the Social Sciences (SPSS) version 27. The findings reveal that office facilities have a positive and significant effect on employee performance. The regression analysis produced a coefficient value of 0.789 with a significance level of 0.000, indicating that improvements in office facilities contribute substantially to enhanced employee performance. The coefficient of determination (R²) value of 0.598 demonstrates that 59.8% of employee performance variation can be explained by office facilities, while the remaining 40.2% is influenced by other variables outside the scope of this study. The results highlight the importance of adequate office infrastructure, equipment availability, workspace arrangement, and technological support in improving work efficiency, productivity, and service quality within public sector organizations. Therefore, enhancing office facilities should become a strategic priority for improving employee performance and organizational effectiveness at the SAMSAT Office in Gowa Regency.
