Abstract

Complex projects such as road infrastructure require reliability and risk analysis for safety and economic sustainability. This study divides the concept of comprehensive risk identification into several variables with several indicators. Indicators refer to findings that occur in the field during acceleration. The simulation was conducted with the help of the @Risk program in Microsoft Excel using standard settings, and the distribution used was triangular. The population in this study is all project stakeholders related to determining the implementation time of the Djuanda FO construction, which is currently underway in the 46th week. The population consisted of 22 experts who were involved in scheduling the FO Djuanda construction project. Since the population size is limited in the study, all population members were sampled. The sampling technique is census or saturated sampling, in which all population members are used as samples. The respondents asked to complete a questionnaire and answer questions about implementing the FO Djuanda development project. Sampling is limited to top management with expertise in decision-making to determine the duration of project implementation in scheduling. This study obtained interval data, with interval data in the form of a Likert scale (scale 1–5). Based on the research results, risk evaluation can be adopted well through Monte Carlo mathematical model simulation. The risks in the acceleration of the FO Djuanda development project, based on the order of risk levels from the largest to the smallest, are direct costs, work calendar schedule, logistics, external, field constraints, health and safety, indirect costs, community relations, environment, construction contracts, traffic, and construction.

Abstract

Abstract

The Indonesian government has designated the relocation of the capital city to East Kalimantan through Law No. 3 of 2022. Developing the Central Government Core Area (KIPP) within the new capital city of Nusantara (IKN) in East Kalimantan presents significant challenges and opportunities in transportation planning. This study evaluates the performance of existing and proposed road networks using integrated macro- and micro-simulation tools: CUBE Voyager and PTV VISSIM. CUBE Voyager is used for trip generation, distribution, and highway assignment, while PTV VISSIM simulates intersection performance based on detailed geometry and traffic behavior. Results indicate that without the development, key national roads such as Soekarno–Hatta will experience overcapacity by 2035, with a volume-to-capacity ratio (VCR) exceeding 1. However, traffic performance improves significantly by adding toll roads and new internal road networks. Notably, 71.7% of vehicles on the Sp. ITCI–Sp. The Riko segment is projected to shift to the toll road. Internally, KIPP's one-way road system maintains Level of Service (LOS) A through 2035, while intersections generally operate at LOS B, with one key intersection at LOS C. The findings emphasize the importance of integrated planning between land use and transportation, highlighting the role of multimodal networks and optimized traffic management strategies in supporting the future capital’s mobility and resilience. This study recommends sustainable road network development to ensure transportation efficiency in the new capital city area.

Abstract

Abstract

Kebutuhan aspal meningkat seiring pembangunan infrastruktur, namun 83% masih diimpor meski Indonesia memiliki cadangan Asbuton besar.

Abstract

Abstract

Traffic congestion is a critical issue in Indonesia’s rapidly urbanizing areas, particularly in regions with high vehicle density such as East Java. To address this, the construction of the Djuanda Flyover in Sidoarjo was initiated as a National Strategic Project (PSN) to alleviate bottlenecks along the Surabaya–Sidoarjo corridor. This study aims to evaluate the probability of successful schedule acceleration in the Djuanda Flyover project using the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT). The research employs a mixed-methods approach, combining quantitative data from weekly and monthly progress reports and PERT-based estimations, with qualitative inputs from expert questionnaires involving 22 project stakeholders, including the owner (BBPJN Jawa-Bali), supervisory consultants, and contractors (PT Wika-Nindya KSO). The analysis focused on the critical path of the project, applying three-point estimates (optimistic, most likely, pessimistic) for activity durations. The initial duration was estimated at 102 days. After applying PERT analysis, the duration was reduced to approximately 95.32 days. With this acceleration, the probability of meeting the 98-day target completion date is 64.8%. These findings reveal a significant risk of failure to meet the targeted acceleration, suggesting the need for enhanced risk mitigation strategies and improved scheduling reliability. The study contributes to infrastructure project management literature by demonstrating how PERT can quantify schedule uncertainty in strategic national infrastructure projects. Recommendations include refining expert judgment techniques, optimizing resource allocation, and implementing real-time performance monitoring to increase schedule confidence beyond 90%. This research may serve as a reference for future accelerated infrastructure projects under similar constraints.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the factors influencing trip attraction to the Among Tani Main Market in Batu City and to develop a trip attraction model that can support transportation planning and market management. Primary data were collected through a questionnaire survey of 404 respondents, while secondary data were obtained from relevant agencies. Descriptive statistics were used to describe visitors’ socio-economic and travel behavior, and multiple linear regression analysis was applied to identify the dominant variables affecting visit frequency. The results show that most visitors are female, aged 31–40, with senior high school education, self-employed, and earning IDR 1–2.5 million per month. The majority use motorcycles, travel an average distance of 5–10 km, and spend 15–30 minutes to reach the market. Of the 20 independent variables tested, five were significant: travel distance, travel time, shop area, parking area, and building size. Distance and time negatively affect visit frequency, while the three infrastructure-related variables have positive effects, with shop area being the most dominant factor. The study concludes that accessibility and infrastructure capacity are more influential than socio-economic factors. These findings provide practical implications for market management and transportation planning in Batu City to enhance visit attraction and support sustainable urban development.

Abstract

The high growth of the population in Malang will trigger an increase in the activity of its, resulting in increased traffic. Increased traffic demands will add to traffic congestion problems on roads and intersections. One way of traffic engineering to improve signaled intersection performance is to equip traffic signals with countdown timers. This additional instrument serves to inform the duration of the signal setup time. This study aims to determine the effect of countdown timer use on saturation flow, performance and safety factor signalized intersection in Malang. The paired sample t-teste statistical method is used to see the influence of the countdown timer on saturation flow, and the impact on the performance and safety of the intersection arm. The use of countdown timer can increase the value of saturation flow, so the capacity of the intersection also increased 5-22% with decreasing delay time 5-13 sec/smp. But the less positive impact on the safety factor intersection, because there is an increase in the movement of vehicles before the green time.
