Abstract

Clean water quality is an important factor for public health, but the problem of inconsistent PDAM water quality in Sijantang Koto village is still an obstacle. This research aims to design and build a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based water quality monitoring and control system. The system uses pH sensors and TDS sensors to measure water quality parameters in real-time. The data from the sensors is processed by the ESP32 microcontroller and displayed through LCD and Blynk application for remote monitoring. In addition to the monitoring function, the system is also equipped with an automatic control mechanism using a pump to add purifying agent (PAC) and pH neutralizer (CaCo3) when the water parameters are outside the standard threshold. The results show that the system is able to detect changes in water quality and automatically control water parameters according to the set standards. The implementation of this system is expected to increase public awareness of the quality of water used and provide solutions in a more efficient and modern clean water management.

Abstract

The need for an efficient and reliable weather monitoring system in areas with limited communication infrastructure has led to the development of an Internet of Things (IoT)-based solution utilizing LoRa (Long Range) technology. This study presents the design and implementation of a local-area weather monitoring system using the STM32F103C8T6 microcontroller and the LoRa RA-02 communication module. The system monitors environmental parameters such as temperature, humidity, wind speed, and air pressure using various sensors including DHT-21, BMP280, A3114, and INA219. Sensor data is collected by the transmitter node and sent via LoRa to a receiver node equipped with an ESP32 microcontroller. The receiver processes the data and sends it to the Blynk IoT platform and Google Sheets for visualization and storage. Experimental results show reliable transmission over distances up to 530 meters in dense environments and 2 kilometers in open areas. The system demonstrated low power consumption, making it suitable for solar-powered applications. The proposed solution is practical, flexible, and cost-effective, providing valuable support for weather-dependent decision-making in remote locations..

Abstract

Industrial electrical panels play a crucial role in electrical systems, particularly in power distribution and electric machine control panels that operate continuously during production processes. However, they also pose a potential fire hazard due to factors such as human error or equipment malfunction, including high temperatures, gas leaks, or undetectable installation errors. This study aims to design a fire alarm monitoring system based on the Internet of Things using an ESP32 microcontroller integrated with a DHT22 temperature and humidity sensor, an MQ-2 gas sensor, and a flame sensor. The research adopts an experimental method. A three-phase distribution panel is used in this study. Based on the test results, sensor data can be displayed in real time through an LCD and the Blynk application, and automatically logged to Google Sheets. The results demonstrate that the system is capable of detecting hazardous conditions and providing early warning alerts via an alarm

Abstract

The development of digital technology requires vocational education (SMK) teachers to be able to develop innovative learning media, such as QR codes, to support 21st-century learning. This community service activity aimed to improve the skills of teachers at SMKN 1 Padang Panjang in designing and implementing QR code-based digital learning media integrated with the Activities Digital Learning (ADL) concept. This activity involved 20 teachers through stages of socialization, training, workshops, hands-on practice, and mentoring. The materials covered AI-assisted digital module creation, media design (Canva), video production (CapCut), and QR Code integration into ADL. The results of the pre-test and post-test evaluation showed an average increase of 35% in teachers’ digital skills. Furthermore, each teacher successfully created at least one ready-to-use QR code-based learning media product. This program also successfully established a collaborative network among teachers to support the sustainability of digital innovation at the school.

Abstract

Program kesetaraan Paket C memiliki peran penting dalam memberikan kesempatan belajar bagi masyarakat yang putus sekolah, sekaligus membuka peluang pemberdayaan ekonomi berbasis keterampilan. Kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan dan kemandirian ekonomi peserta Paket C melalui pelatihan solid haircut, sulam jilbab motif fantasi, serta pembuatan creative digital portfolio dengan aplikasi Canva, Wix, dan Artificial Intelligence (AI). sebagai strategi branding dan pemasaran. Metode pelaksanaan dilakukan melalui pendekatan partisipatif dengan kombinasi ceramah, demonstrasi, dan praktik langsung. Kegiatan ini diikuti oleh 20 peserta yang berlangsung selama beberapa sesi pelatihan intensif di PKBM AN-NUR, Nagari Sungai Kamunyang, Kabupaten 50 Kota. Hasil pelaksanaan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan keterampilan teknis, kreativitas, dan kepercayaan diri peserta, serta tumbuhnya orientasi wirausaha dalam bidang jasa kecantikan dan industri kreatif digital. Dengan demikian, kegiatan ini berkontribusi terhadap penguatan kapasitas SDM nonformal dan mendukung lahirnya young talentpreneur yang produktif di daerah Nagari Sungai Kamunyang.

Abstract

Masjid Nurul Wujud di Kelurahan Baringin, Kota Padang, selama ini mengalami kendala pasokan air bersih akibat ketergantungan penuh pada sumber listrik dari PLN yang sering mengalami pemadaman dan beban biaya operasional yang tinggi. Kendala ini seringkali menghambat ketersediaan air untuk kegiatan ibadah dan sosial. Sebagai bentuk solusi berkelanjutan, program pengabdian masyarakat ini dirancang untuk mengimplementasikan sistem pompa air tenaga surya berkapasitas 550 Wp untuk menciptakan kemandirian energi dan ketersediaan air. Metode pelaksanaan kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat ini menggunakan pendekatan Participatory Action Research (PAR). Metode ini mencakup observasi, instalasi sistem, pelatihan, dan pendampingan berkelanjutan. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan sistem bekerja secara optimal, mampu menghasilkan debit air 45 liter/menit dengan waktu pengisian tangki 1000 liter dalam 25 menit. Survei kepuasan masyarakat terhadap program ini menunjukkan skor rata-rata 4,3 dari 5, di mana 85% responden menyatakan puas terhadap manfaat yang dirasakan. Program ini berhasil meningkatkan kapasitas masyarakat dalam mengelola teknologi energi terbarukan dan dapat menjadi model replikasi bagi fasilitas publik lain di wilayah serupa.

Abstract

This research is motivated by the presence of students who have very little desire to learn, grades that are still below the Minimum Completion Criteria (KKM) and the media used by teachers are still conventional such as printed books and whiteboards. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of the use of video tutor media on student learning outcomes. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with the type of Quasi Experimental Design Nonequivalent Control Group with a two group pretest-posttest design. The sample determination uses a purposive sampling technique. Purposive sampling is sampling based on research objectives/certain characteristics. The population of class X TEI is 45 people. The number of samples is 24 students divided into 2, namely 12 students for the experimental class and 12 students for the control class. The research was conducted in the 2024/2025 academic year in class X majoring in industrial electronics engineering. This study shows that the average post-test score of experimental class students is higher than the post-test score of the control class, which is 92.00> 67.33. From the results of the Independent Sample t Test on the post-test data, the t-count value is obtained = 3.844 and the Sig. (2-tailed) value is 0.001. The t-table distribution value is seen based on df = 22 with a significant level of ???? = 0.05 is 2.074. Because the t-count value> t-table (3.844> 2.074) and Sig. (2-tailed) 0.001 <0.05, Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. From the results of the independent sample T-test, video tutorial media has an effect on the learning outcomes of basic electronic engineering subjects for class X TEI at SMK Negeri 4 Pariaman.

Abstract

This research develops a secure key management system prototype by integrating Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) and keypad technologies to enhance the protection of safes. Safes are widely used for storing valuable assets, but traditional locking systems are vulnerable to unauthorized access. The system combines RFID for user identification and a keypad for password entry, providing a dual-layer security mechanism. The methodology involves a prototyping approach, allowing iterative development and refinement of the system. The system utilizes Arduino Uno as the main controller, with additional hardware components such as an RFID reader, keypad, LCD, and servo motor for door control. Testing of the system demonstrates successful functionality, including identification of valid and invalid RFID tags, password verification, and access control through the servo motor. The results show that the system significantly enhances the security and convenience of accessing the safe, minimizing the risk of unauthorized entry. Future improvements include the development of a user interface for easier password management and full-scale implementation on real safes.
