Abstract

Abstract: This study was motivated by the influence of student organizations in shaping the character of the students as candidates for the carrier changes. So the student organization is considered appropriate measures to strengthen the soft skills and hard skills of the students to prepare lunch later in the day. Therefore, the authors take the title of the study "Analysis of the benefits of student involvement in Student Organizations (BEM UR Management Study Period 2014-2015)". The aim of this study to determine the benefits of student participation in student organizations. The study population was BEM UR period 2014-2015 amounting to 104 people and a sample of this research amount to 52 people. Data collection instruments questionnaire consisting of 19 statements and interviews consisted of 19 questions. In the analysis of the data, the author uses qualitative descriptive analysis.The results of this study indicate that the UR BEM 2014-2015 period, which can benefit from participating in the organization of visits of students of 52 percent as much as 92.20% of respondents answered yes. The advantages of the most commonly observed by BEM UR No 4 of 19 other advantages, namely on the one hand cooperate to obtain benefits in the form of multi-disciplinary working group (100%). The second advantage to have a responsible attitude (100%).Thirdly, expanding the advantage to improve (100%) and fourth advantage of the possibility of critical (100%). As a reference to the opinion (Husaini Usman Ali Hamsah) then the hypothesis can be accepted.   Key Words: Student Organizations, BEM UR

Abstract

Abstract: This research is motivated by the values of the democratic character that are important to be cultivated to the whole society including students. Democracy is very important to the students, because students are the agent of change and the agent of control in a nation. The problem formulation of this research is Are There the Values of Democratic Character in the Activities of the Student Executive Board of Riau University? and Are There Obstacles in the Development of Democratic Process in the Student Executive Board of Riau University? This research is aimed to determine the values of the democratic character of the Student Executive Board of Riau University and to determine whether there are obstacles in the process of democratic development. The population of this research was 157 students of the Student Executive Board members of Riau University. In determining the sample, the researcher used proportional random sampling technique. The sample of this research was 40 respondents. The data were collected by observing, giving the questionnaire, interviewing, and doing literature technique. In analyzing the data, the researcher used quantitative descriptive analysis with percentage. Based on the result of this research, it can be concluded that the percent of the respondents who answered very often and often was 95.36%. If it is between 81.00% - 100%, it can be categorized that there are the values of democratic character, which are equal rights, equal participation, and the principle of majority. And also concludes that there is no obstacle in the development of democratic process in the Student Executive Board (BEM) of Riau University. It can be proven by the percent of the respondents who answered very often and often was 2.36%. If it is between 0.00% - 55.00% , it can be categorized that there is no obstacle in the development of democratic process.Keywords: Democratic Character, BEM

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the phenomenon of the implementation of the principle of village democracy, namely the lack of transparency in RT elections that are not in accordance with the procedures and election requirements mentioned in the Siak Regency Regulation no. 7 of 2010 on the amendment of Local Regulation no. 15 Year 2007 on social institutions. RT selection through deliberation but it is not executed. The formulation of the problem is How the implementation of the principle of village democracy in governance in Village Pinang Sebatang according to the perception of government and society and how the Government of Village Pinang Sebatang in building democratization of the village according to the perception of government and society. This study aims to determine the implementation of the principle of village democracy according to the perception of government and society. As well as the Village Pinang Sebatang Village's efforts to build village democracy according to the government and society. Respondent that is 40 people by using technique of Purposive Sampling. Techniques of collecting data through observation, questionnaires, interviews, and documentation. The research method is quantitative descriptive method. Based on the result of research, the implementation of village democracy principle is in good category (51% - 100%) that is according to government perception 96% and society perception 69%. While efforts to build village democratization are in the category of existing efforts (51% - 100%), that is according to the perception of the village government by 96% and the public perception of 61%.Keywords: Principles of Village Democracy

Abstract

This classroom action research aims to improve, understand, and describe students’ interest in studying political sciences in the Pancasila and Civic Education program in Faculty of Teachers Training and Education, Riau University by using a Talking Stick learning model.Students’ interest in studying political sciences is still low, observed from the low number of actively participated-students (10%) in the classroom and such attitudes as not enthusiastic and having greatanxiety towards the lecturers. There were 36 third-semester students chosen as the research subject. The research evaluated by an observer was conducted in two cycles.Data like lecturers’ and students’ activities, and students’ interest in studying were gathered through observation sheets, and analyzed on the basis of descriptive method. The research result shows that the lecturers’ activity in the first cycle was ‘very good’ and that it is improved to be to ‘excellent’in the second cycle. The students’ activity in both cycles isgreat. Meanwhile, their study interest is increasedas thesecond cyclewas completed.

Abstract

Abstract: This research is based on the low motivation of learning PPKn of the students at SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru. The formulation of the problem in this research is "Is there any significant effect of using Team Quiz learning model to students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru ?". This study aims to determine the effect of using Team Quiz learning model to students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru. This research was conducted at SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru in April 2018. This research was a quantitative descriptive which is experimental research which the students of grade X SMK N 1Kota Pekanbaru became the population in this study. The sample in this research was taken based on "Random Sampling" technique. Where the class taken into the sample was students of class X MB2 (experimental class) given the learning model of Team Quiz, and class X ADP1 (control class) were students who were given the conventional method. Then data analysis by using homogeneity test and "t" test. Based on the result of research indicated that there was an effect of learning motivation between student who using Team Quiz learning model and conventional method in SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru ( > ). Where there was an average increase to motivation in learning PPKn of experimental class from 19.17 to 26 and the average of PPKn learning motivation of control class from 19,16 to 19,63. Thus the hypothesis which reads that there is an effect of using Team Quiz learning model to students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMK N 1 Kota Pekanbaru, can be accepted.Key Words: Team Quiz, Learning Motivation

Abstract

This study aims to improve, know and describe the motivation to learn Political Sociology in the FKIP UNRIPPKn Study Program by using the Domino learning model. The research subjects were 36 semester V students consisting of 8 men and 28 women. The implementation of this learning improvement process was carried out in 2 cycles which were assessed by an observer. While the type of data is lecturer activity and learning motivation collected through observation sheets and questionnaires. After data is collected, grouped and analyzed based on descriptive methods. The results showed that the use of the Domino learning model could increase the motivation to learn Political Sociology in the FKIP UNRIPPKn Study Program.

Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk untuk meningkatkan, mengetahui dan mendeskripsikan hasilbelajar Hukum Perdata di Prodi PPKn dengan menggunakan model pembelajaranBertukar Pasangan. Subjek penelitian adalah mahasiswa semester IV yang berjumlah 35orang. Pelaksanaan proses perbaikan pembelajaran ini di laksanakan sebanyak dua siklusyang di nilai oleh seorang observer. Sedangkan jenis data dan teknik pengumpulan datasebagai berikut ; data aktivitas dosen dan mahasiswa di kumpulkan melalui lembarobservasi, data hasil belajar di peroleh melalui post test. Setelah data terkumpul,selanjutnya dikelompokkan, baru dianalisa berdasarkan metode deskriptif dimana datadiperoleh dan diberi penjelasan yang diperlukan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwapenerapan model pembelajaran bertukar pasangan dapat meningkatkan hasil belajarHukum Perdata di Prodi PPKn FKIP UNRI.

Abstract

Abstract : This study was motivated by the low learning outcomes of students of SMP Negeri 1 East Kampar Kampar District in following civics lesson. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of cooperative learning model arisan card on learning outcomes in Civics class VII SMP Negeri 1 East Kampar Kampar District. The study population was all students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 East Kampar Kampar District which consists of eight classes with a number of 216 students. The study sample consisted of VII4 class with 27 students and class number VII5 the number of 27 students, thus totaling 54 students. This sample was taken by purposive sampling technique with homogeneity test. Data were collected through observation, documentation, literature study and observation sheet. The results show student learning outcomes in experimental class (VII4) increased compared to the control class (VII5), before the average treated experimental class learning outcomes (VII4) are 50.37 and 87.22 after treatment. While the control class (VII5) average yield of 54.26 while the study before treatment after treatment the average results of their study, namely 69.44. When viewed from the statistical analysis by t test then obtained t 7.29, then tcount compared with the value ttabel with significance level (α) 5% = 0.05 df = n1 + n2 - 2 = value ttable is 1.69. Thus that there signifikam influence on a significant level of 5%. Abstract

Abtract: This research is motivated by the start of the implementation of government policies in creating professional and competent teachers. One way to shape the competence of PPKn teachers in Pekanbaru is by having a forum for PPKn Subject Teachers (MGMP) throughout Pekanbaru. This study aims to analyze the role and benefits of the Pekanbaru MGMP in improving Teacher Capability. This type of research is qualitative descriptive which tries to describe the benefits of MGMP on the performance of PPKn teachers. The methods used are surveys, interviews, and lift deployment. The population of this study were all PPKn teachers at the junior high school level in Pekanbaru while the samples taken were teachers who joined the Pekanbaru PPKn MGMP as many as 41 people. Data analysis is done by a combination technique (mix method) that is qualitative data analysis followed by coding and tabulation into percentage tables (Simple Frequency distribution). The results showed that the existence of MGMP was very useful in the performance of PPKn teachers in Pekanbaru City Junior High School. The benefits include 9 main things in accordance with the role of the MGMP, namely; Understanding of curriculum, syllabus and assessment system, making teaching materials, understanding education, implementing computer-based learning programs, developing learning facilities, making learning tools and developing learning media.Key Words: Subject Teacher Consultation, Teacher Ability

The formulation of the problem in this research is "Is there any significant effect of using Quick On The Draw learning model toward students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan?". This study aims to determine the effect of using Quick On The Draw learning model toward students’ motivation in learning PPKn at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan. This research was conducted at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan in April 2018. This research was a quantitative descriptive study that was experimental. Population in this study were students of class VII SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan. The sample in this research was taken based on "Random Sampling" technique. Where the class taken into the sample was the students of class VII F (experimental class) who were given the Quick On The Draw learning model, and class VII G (control class) were students who were given the conventional method. Then data analysis by using homogeneity test and "t" test. Based on the result of research indicated that there wasan effect of learning motivation between student who using Quick On The Draw learning model and conventional method in SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan ( > ).Where there was an average increase toward motivation in learning PPKn of experimental class from 20,48  to 24,96 and the average of PPKn learning motivation of control class from 19,23 to 21,56. Thus the hypothesis which reads that there is an effect of using Quick On The Draw learning model toward learning motivation of PPKn student at SMP Negeri 1 Pangkalan Kuras Kabupaten Pelalawan, can be accepted. Key Words : Quick On The Draw, Motivation
