Abstract

The problem in this research is the low learning outcomes of Pancasila education for class IV students at SD Negeri 6 Metro Barat. The purpose of this research is to determine the influence of the discovery learning model based on Prezi media on the learning outcomes of Pancasila education of elementary school students. This research method is quasi experimental with quantitative research type and research design using non-equivalent control group design. The population of this study is 91 students and the sample is 47 students. Data collection techniques using tests in the form of pretest and posttest and non-tests in the form of observation. Data was analyzed using simple linear regression. So it can be concluded that there is a significant influence on the use of the media-based discovery learning model Prezi on the learning outcomes of students in the learning of Pancasila education class IV at SD Negeri 6 Metro Barat in the 2025/2026 academic year

Abstract

This classroom action research design was aimed at analysing students’ failure in learning ESP (English for Specific Purposes) and finding out its solution. The purpose of this study was to improve the ability of Coach Study Program students of FKIP UNRI in learning ESP through the STAR 7 Jumps model and to find out factors that contribute more to the improvement. A total of 36 students, consisting of 27 boys and 9 girls, were involved as the participants of the study. This research was done in two cycles. Designing syllabus, evaluating teaching materials, and compiling teaching materials were also the procedures done in each cycle (planning, action, observation, and reflection). Semi-structured observation sheets and field notes were used to identify how the lecturer taught and how the learners learned, and an ESP achievement test was employed to identify students’ ability. The lecturer applied the seven steps of STAR well, which made the students more active, motivated, and interested in learning ESP. Students’ ability in learning ESP also improved, where the mean pre-test was 67, mean post-test cycle 1 was 73, and mean post-test cycle 2 was 76. The most dominant factor that caused the improvement was the teaching materials about the match sports topic, by which most students were active in problem identification, brainstorming, analyzing and formulating problems, self-study, and presentation.

Abstract

The problem in this study is the low Indonesian vocabulary ability of third-grade elementary school students. The purpose of this study is to determine the effectiveness of the word square learning model on the Indonesian vocabulary ability of third-grade elementary school students at MIN 2 Metro Pusat. This research method is a quasi-experimental research with a non-equivalent control group design. The population in this study were all third-grade elementary school students at MIN 2 Metro Pusat totaling 110 students and the sample determination used a simple random sampling technique with a total of 52 students. Data collection techniques used test and non-test techniques. Data analysis in this study used a simple linear regression test and an independent t-test test. The results of the study showed that there was a significant effectiveness of the word square learning model in improving the Indonesian vocabulary ability of third-grade students at MIN 2 Metro Pusat in the 2025/2026 academic year.

Abstract

The problem in this research was the low reading comprehension skills of fourth- grade students at UPT SD Negeri 2 Sukoharjo III in Pancasila Education. This study aimed to determine the effect of applying the Wordwall-based SQ3R method on reading comprehension skills. This research used a quantitative with a nonequivalent control group design method. The population consisted of 33 students, and the sample was 33 students, determined by saturated sampling technique. Data were collected using tests and non-tests techniques. Data analysis techniques used simple linear regression tests and independent samples t-test. The results of this study showed an effect of using the Wordwall-based SQ3R method on the reading comprehension skills of fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 2 Sukoharjo III. This study also found a difference in Pancasila Education reading comprehension skills among fourth-grade students at UPT SD Negeri 2 Sukoharjo III for the 2025/2026 academic year compare the treatment using the Wordwall-based SQ3R method and the discussion method. Abstract

The problem in this study was the low learning outcomes of fifth-grade elementary school students in Pancasila Education. This study aimed to: (1) determine the effect of parental attention on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, (2) determine the effect of learning motivation on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, and (3) determine the combined effect of parental attention and learning motivation on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education. The method used in this study was multiple regression with an ex post facto research design. The population of this study consisted of 151 students, and the sample was determined using proportionate stratified random sampling, resulting in a sample of 109 students. Data collection techniques used non-test methods in the form of questionnaires and documentation. The data collection instruments were parental attention and learning motivation questionnaires using a Likert scale, which had passed validity and reliability tests. Data analysis was conducted using multiple regression analysis. The results of the study showed that: (1) there was an effect of parental attention on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, (2) there was an effect of learning motivation on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education, and (3) there was a combined effect of parental attention and learning motivation on students’ learning outcomes in Pancasila Education.

Abstract

The primary concern of this study is the low learning motivation among fourth-grade elementary school students. This research aims to determine the effect of social interaction on students’ learning motivation. This study employed a quantitative research method using an ex post facto approach. The population consisted of 189 students, with a sample of 129 students selected through proportionate stratified random sampling. Data were collected using a Likert-scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability, supported by observation and questionnaires. Data analysis was conducted using simple linear regression. The results showed that social interaction has a significant effect on the learning motivation of fourth-grade elementary school students.

Abstract

This study was motivated by the low mathematical critical thinking ability of fourth grade elementary school students. The research aimed to examine the effect of the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by Baamboozle media on students’ mathematical critical thinking skills. This research employed a quantitative approach using a quasi-experimental method with a non-equivalent control group design. The population consisted of all fourth grade students, while the sample was divided into an experimental class and a control class. The experimental class received instruction using the Teams Games Tournament model assisted by Baamboozle, whereas the control class was taught using conventional learning. Data were collected through a critical thinking test administered before and after treatment. The results showed a significant improvement in students’ mathematical critical thinking skills in the experimental class compared to the control class. The average posttest score and N-Gain value in the experimental class were higher, indicating that the implementation of the Teams Games Tournament model supported by interactive game-based media created a more active learning environment and encouraged student participation in problem solving. Therefore, the Teams Games Tournament learning model assisted by Baamboozle has a positive effect on improving elementary students’ mathematical critical thinking ability.

Abstract

Heart disease is one of the leading causes of death worldwide, with a death toll reaching 17.9 million cases annually according to the World Health Organization (WHO) and a prevalence of 1.5% in Indonesia. This high mortality rate demonstrates the importance of early detection and accurate prediction to prevent more serious complications. The development of artificial intelligence technology, particularly machine learning, offers a new approach in the medical field through the ability to analyze clinical data quickly and efficiently. This study was conducted to compare the performance of two machine learning algorithms, namely Random Forest and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN), in predicting heart disease using a clinical dataset from Kaggle containing 20 samples and 9 attributes related to the patient's physiological condition. The parameter optimization process in both algorithms was carried out using grid search techniques with cross-validation to obtain the best model that can perform optimally on a limited dataset. Performance evaluation was carried out using accuracy, recall, and precision metrics to comprehensively measure the quality of the model predictions. The results of the study showed that the Random Forest algorithm provided superior performance with an accuracy of 0.75, a recall of 0.88, and a precision of 0.86, compared to KNN which only achieved an accuracy of 0.50, a recall of 0.67, and a precision of 0.67. These findings indicate that Random Forest is more effective in identifying the presence of heart disease, especially in terms of sensitivity to positive cases and prediction consistency. Thus, Random Forest has the potential to be a more appropriate algorithm for implementation in machine learning-based clinical decision support systems, to support the process of diagnosing heart disease more accurately and efficiently.

Abstract

The problem of low science learning outcomes at SD Negeri 01 Bukit Kemuning in science learning for grade V is the main focus of this study. This study aims to determine the effect of the Project-Based Learning Model on the Learning Outcomes of Grade V Students in the Science Subject of Elementary Schools. This study uses a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design method with a nonequivalent control group design. Determination of the research sample uses a non-probability sampling technique with a purposive sampling technique. The population in this study amounted to 75 students with the samples used being students in grades V A and V B. Data were collected using test and non-test techniques in the form of observation and documentation. Data were analyzed using a simple Linear Regression Test. The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence on the application of the Project-Based Learning model on the learning outcomes of grade V students in the science subject of elementary school.

Abstract

Rainfall is a crucial meteorological parameter that significantly affects various sectors, particularly in tropical regions such as Jambi City. However, daily rainfall data often contain outliers and imbalanced class distributions, which can degrade the performance of machine learning-based classification models. This study aims to conduct a preliminary analysis of the performance of several machine learning algorithms for daily rainfall classification in Jambi City by examining the effects of outlier removal. The algorithms evaluated include Support Vector Machine (RBF), K-Nearest Neighbor, Naive Bayes, Decision Tree, and Random Forest. Model performance was assessed using accuracy and macro F1-score metrics. The rainfall classes used in this study consist of four categories: no rain, light rain, moderate rain, and heavy rain. The results indicate that outlier removal improves the accuracy of all evaluated algorithms, with the most substantial improvement observed in the Decision Tree model with accuracy improved from 45.71% to 57.36% and macro F1-score from 28.99% to 38.78%. Overall, the implementation of outlier removal yields more balanced and representative rainfall classification results, potentially serving as a basis for future quantitative rainfall regression studies.
