Abstract

This study aims to analyze and describe the character education values contained in the novel Cinta di Langit Qatar by Defi Taslim. The novel was selected as the research source because it portrays the life journey of adolescents filled with moral lessons and character-building experiences. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach with Zubaedi’s theory of character education as the analytical framework. The data consisted of words, phrases, sentences, and excerpts of narration and dialogue that reflect character education values. Data were collected through literature review and note-taking techniques, while data analysis involved data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings reveal twelve character education values reflected in the novel: religiousness, honesty, discipline, hard work, independence, patriotism, friendliness or communicativeness, peace-loving, social care, love of reading, curiosity, and responsibility. Among these, religiosity emerges as the most dominant value, serving as the moral foundation that guides the characters’ actions and decision-making. These findings affirm that literary works can function as effective educational media for the internalization of character values, as moral messages are conveyed contextually through conflicts, dialogues, and the emotional experiences of the characters.

Abstract

Kegiatan ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan keterampilan kader Pemuda Muhammadiyah, PCM Patikraja dalam bidang kewirausahaan, khususnya dalam pembuatan Pupuk Organik Cair (POC), pengelolaan keuangan berbasis akuntansi, serta pengemasan dan pemasaran produk. Permasalahan dominan yang dihadapi mitra adalah belum dimilikinya pengetahuan dan ketrampilan mitra tentang pembuatan pupuk organik cair (POC) dari limbah sampah organik, akuntansi sederhana dan pemasaran produk POC. Berdasarkan hal tersebut maka perlu dilakukan transfer teknologi terkait pengolahan limbah sampah organik menjadi POC yang dapat berjalan secara berkelanjutan dan dapat memberikan keuntungan secara ekonomi. Kegiatan ini dilaksanakan melalui pelatihan yang melibatkan teori dan praktik langsung, di mana para peserta diberikan pemahaman tentang proses pembuatan POC yang efektif, pengelolaan keuangan yang transparan dan sesuai standar akuntansi, serta teknik pengemasan dan strategi pemasaran yang tepat guna untuk meningkatkan daya saing produk. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan adanya peningkatan yang signifikan pada keterampilan peserta, terutama dalam hal pemahaman pembuatan POC yang berkualitas, pengelolaan keuangan yang efisien, dan kemampuan untuk memasarkan produk secara lebih efektif. Penerapan IPTEK dalam kegiatan ini tidak hanya memberikan pengetahuan teknis, tetapi juga memperkuat kapasitas kader dalam menghadapi tantangan kewirausahaan di bidang pertanian dan lingkungan hidup.

Abstract

Abstract. This research investigates the material needs of third-year students enrolled in two classes of Translation courses at Universitas Palangka Raya, aiming to inform the development of a comprehensive translation module. A total of 108 students participated in the study, providing valuable insights through a structured questionnaire designed to assess their specific requirements for translation materials. A qualitative approach using structured questionnaires was used, allowing for both thematic analysis of open-ended responses and percentage-based summaries of closed-ended items. This enabled an in-depth understanding of the students’ perspectives and learning needs. The findings revealed that the majority of students felt the current materials were adequate, but highlighted the need for a more structured and accessible module. Specifically, students expressed a desire for materials that bridge the gap between theory and practice, including more examples, practical exercises, and structured guidance across different types of texts, such as academic, commercial, and literary works. The results underscore the importance of developing a tailored translation module that not only covers the theoretical aspects of translation but also provides ample opportunities for students to apply their knowledge in practice. This study provides a foundational basis for enhancing the Translation courses at Universitas Palangka Raya, ensuring that the curriculum aligns more closely with the actual needs of students.Keywords: : translation, module, learning materials, EFL students, need analysis

Abstract

Masculinity standards make men limited in expressing their expressions. This can lead to identity crises and depression. For this reason, the purpose of this research is to describe the image of masculinity, as well as to find out the impact of masculinity for the characters in the novel Laki -Laki Tanpa Tanya by Isma'ul Ahmad. The source of data in this study is the novel Laki -Laki Tanpa Tanya by Isma'ul Ahmad. The research data is in the form of text in the novel Laki Tanpa Tanya by Isma'ul Ahmad. This research uses the hermeneutic method. Meanwhile, for the data collection technique, it uses the reading and recording technique. Data validity uses theoretical triangulation. Researchers associate various theoretical views so that the results of data analysis are not biased (Cresswell, 2009) Analysis techniques use theories from Miles and Huberman which have three stages, namely; (1) Data reduction; (2) Data presentation; (3) Verification and withdrawal of Conclusions. The findings of this study are the novel Men Without Questions by Isma'ul Ahmad, there are 15 images of masculinity, including: (1) Hard Worker; (2) Protector; (3) Compassionate; (4) Educators; (5) Brave; (6) Concern; (7) Breadwinners; (8) Rebels; (9) Leaders; (10) Never give up; (11) Strength; (12) Discipline; (13) Emotional; (14) Fighters; (15) Violence. Meanwhile, the impact of masculinity on the characters is the impact of sissy masculinity and macho masculinity. Research can provide understanding and raise people's thinking levels towards the formation of masculinity images and social dynamics that will have an impact when socializing in society. In addition, this research can also help educational institutions in developing curricula and learning programs that are more comprehensive and sensitive to gender issues

Abstract

Research focused on literary texts within the cultural context of their origin is known as literary anthropology Studies utilizing this approach are essential for contributing to the preservation of Indonesian culture. This research aims to identify the elements of Javanese culture represented in Cheris Ivanas novel, Garwa, and to examine the influence of Javanese culture on the authors creative process. This study employs a qualitative approach with a hermeneutic method. Data collection was conducted through Interviews, close reading, and note-taking techniques. The data analysis follows the Miles and Huberman interactive model, which consists of three stages: (1) data reduction, (2) data display, and (3) conclusion drawing and verification. The findings indicate that Garwa incorporates various elements of Javanese culture woven into its narrative structure. These cultural elements encompass linguistic aspects, religious systems, artistic expressions, social organizations, and technological or material life systems. Furthermore, Cheris Ivanas creative process in writing Garwa was influenced by several Javanese cultural factors, including her own ancestral roots in the Surakarta Javanese community, her admiration for Gusti Bhre, her affection for Pura Mangkunegaran, and her extensive reading of literature regarding Javanese traditions

Abstract

This article aims to uncover the dimension of prophetism in the existential journey of the main character through an interdisciplinary approach between Kuntowijoyo's prophetic literature and Jean-Paul Sartre's existentialism. This research method uses a qualitative hermeneutic method. The data collection technique uses the read, record, and triangulation methods of data to ensure the validity of the data. The data in the study includes narratives, monologues, dialogues presented in the form of words, phrases, and sentences that contain the dimension of prophetism. The source of this research data was taken from a novel entitled A Portion of Chicken Noodles Before Death by Brian Khrisna. The results of the study show that in the existential journey of the main character, there is a prophetic dimension, including humanization, liberation, and transcendence according to Kuntowijoyo's theory. The humanization dimension is depicted by the actions of the characters that reflect the humanizing attitude of humans, such as maintaining brotherhood, helping, and respecting others. The dimension of liberation is shown in the form of liberation of the economic system by efforts to free oneself from poverty, liberation of the knowledge system, and internal liberation in the form of self-acceptance of His destiny. Third, the dimension of transcendence is reflected in the behavior of the character who is khauf, qana'ah, ridha, sincere, tawakkal, raja', gratitude, and aspects of spiritual awareness in the main character. The prophetic dimension plays a role in resurrecting the consciousness and existence of the main character to return to living an authentic life (Sartre). This study confirms that works of popular fiction can be explored for their prophetic values and can be integrated with the philosophy of existentialism as a medium of inner reflection in the face of the complexities of modern life

Abstract

The Science and Technology for Community Organizational Development (IbM PP) program aims to enhance organizational commitment among Aisyiyah cadres from the Aisyiyah Branch Leadership (PRA) in Kedungwuluh Lor, Patikraja District, through training in cadre development strategies. The activities will cover organizational commitment, communication between individuals/teams, and collaboration among members of the PRA in Kedungwuluh Lor, Patikraja District. This training is crucial because, in general, organizational commitment, communication, and cooperation among Aisyiyah members still need improvement to strengthen the organization. The current problem is the suboptimal communication and collaboration between Aisyiyah members, who are generally in their 40s. Therefore, lectures, discussions, and training related to organizational commitment, communication, and cooperation among members are necessary. The learning process uses experiential learning, a method that focuses on and centers on the participants' own experiences and knowledge. After participating in this outreach activity, participants demonstrated an increased understanding of organizational commitment. This was evident in their enthusiasm for the discussion and Q&A. In addition, participants also gave a positive response to the material presented and stated that they would try to increase their commitment to Aisyiyah.

Abstract

Fenomena masyarakat  yang berada di daerah pedesaan,  terutama yang dilalui sungai masih banyak yang berperilaku tidak sehat dengan buang air besar disungai, pekarangan rumah, atau tempat-tempat yang tidak selayaknya. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui hubungan pengetahuan dan status ekonomi kepala keluarga dengan penggunaan jamban cemplung di pinggir sungai di Desa Sungai Pitung Kabupaten Barito Kuala Tahun 2019. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan cross sectional. Populasi adalah seluruh kepala keluarga di Desa Sungai Pitung, yaitu sebanyak 316 kepala keluarga. Sampel penelitian ini menggunakan teknik proportional random sampling, berjumlah 76 kepala keluarga. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah kuesioner. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan terdapat hubungan antara pengetahuan dengan P value = 0,005 < α 0,05 dan ekonomi P value = 0,000. Diharapkan untuk instansi terkait agar bisa memberikan bantuan pembuatan jamban sehat per kepala keluarga agar masyarakat tidak lagi menggunakan jamban di sungai.

Abstract

Talak dan rujuk merupakan bagian penting dalam hukum keluarga Islam, tetapi sering disalahpahami, terutama ketika dilakukan melalui media sosial tanpa mengikuti prosedur hukum yang benar. Banyak masyarakat mengira talak lewat pesan digital sudah sah, padahal menurut hukum Indonesia harus melalui pengadilan agama. Artikel ini bertujuan mengoptimalkan media sosial sebagai sarana literasi hukum talak dan rujuk dengan pendekatan fikih yang komprehensif dan sesuai konteks Indonesia. Metode yang digunakan meliputi analisis konten media sosial, pengembangan materi edukasi digital, pelatihan tokoh agama dan kreator konten, serta kampanye literasi terintegrasi. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa edukasi melalui media sosial dapat meningkatkan pemahaman masyarakat tentang syarat talak dan rujuk, prosedur resmi, serta hak-hak istri dan keluarga. Upaya ini membantu mengurangi praktik talak informal dan mendorong penyelesaian keluarga yang lebih adil dan sesuai hukum Islam serta hukum negara.

Abstract

Kopi "Igir Alas" yang dikelola oleh MTs Pakis menghadapi tantangan utama berupa rendahnya efisiensi dan inkonsistensi kualitas biji kopi akibat proses pengeringan konvensional yang lama dan rentan terhadap fluktuasi cuaca. Program pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan meningkatkan kompetensi sumber daya manusia (SDM) dan mengimplementasikan sistem monitoring cerdas berbasis Internet of Things (IoT), didukung oleh perbaikan infrastruktur dry house dan standar K3. Pelatihan yang melibatkan 31 peserta (30 siswa dan 1 pengelola) menunjukkan keberhasilan yang signifikan: peningkatan skor pemahaman peserta dari 30,00 menjadi 82,00, menghasilkan Normalized Gain (<g>) sebesar 0,74 (efektivitas tinggi) dan Peningkatan Persentase 173%. Secara operasional, sistem IoT berhasil mempersingkat durasi pengeringan dari 7–8 hari menjadi 4–5 hari, meningkatkan kapasitas hingga 100%, dan menstabilkan kadar air. Keberlanjutan program didukung oleh penghematan jam kerja, kemandirian pemantauan sistem, dan rencana tindak lanjut kritis seperti pengembangan Bank Data Kadar Air dan instalasi flow meter untuk menjaga kualitas produk dan efisiensi operasional.
