AbstractThe background of this research was that are meanings of dance property symbols that need to be revealed in connection with the use of the property of Selodang Mayang in the Selodang Mayang Dance. The method used in this research was descriptive method. This form of research is qualitative research. The research approach used is the iconographic approach. The source of the data in this study was the result of interviews with the speakers of Raja Mardan Adi Jaya Kusuma Ibrahim, Decky Prasetya and Budi Harun. Data Collection techniques used were observation, interviews and documentation. The data collection tool in this study is the researcher as the main instrument, interview guilde and documentation tools. The result of this study were the meaning of property symbol Selodang Mayang is as a binder of friendship and togetherness of welcoming guests at the robo-robo event. Mayang describe is the diversity that exists in Indonesian society consisting of various tribes, religions, races and groups, especially on the island of Pedalaman Mempawah Regency.This is in accordance with the tradition that at first this dance was danced by court ladies to welcome the guest of the King that came.Keywords: Dance Property, Selodang Mayang, Symbol Meaning

AbstractThis research was motivated by the desire of researcher to know the structure of the presentation of Belenggang dance in the ceremony of paying intention to the Dayak Kanayatn community in Paku Raya Village of Kuala Behe District, Landak Regency, to describe the presentation structure that has characteristics both in terms of motion, music, make up and clothing, and poetry in it. . This research includes some theories such as dance structure presentation, elements of dance presentation and implementation.This research used descriptive method with a qualitative research form and choreographic as approach of the research. This research contained some datas about facts of structure of presentation of the dance in the paying intention ceremony in the Dayak Kanayatn community in Paku Raya Village, Kuala Behe District, Landak regency. The data were analyzed qualitatively, with Mr. Bulup, Mr. Daud and Mr. Sudimanto as the dancers, shamans and musicians who were knowing better about the Structure of Belenggang Dance Presentation.Based on data analysis, it can be concluded as follows. The structure presentation of the Belenggang dance is the arrangement of a single presentation or appearance which has three main parts contained in the presentation structure, such as the beginning, middle and the end. The main elements of structure of presentation such as dance moves that was intend to describe something known as meaningful motion, floor design on the lines through which dancers, accompaniment music, poetry, themes, make-up and clothing, as well as venues are danced in open space because this dance was a dance that depicts gratitude towards Jubata. AbstractThe purpose of this research is to describe the study of cultural values contained in Baliatn traditional ritual dances in the Senakin Village, Landak district of West Kalimantan.The research focused on issues relatedto cultural values in textual and contextual studies. The research method that used in this research is descriptive research methods, qualitytative forms, and ethnochoreological approaches. Data sources are in the form of interviews. The research data are in the form of interviews and photographs.. Data collection techniques are in the form of observation, interviews, and documentation. Techniques for testing the validity of source use triangulation data. Data analysis techniques are compile and analyze. The results of this study is to show that ritual dance in Baliatn traditional ceremonies contains cultural values found in textual and contextual studies that will be linked to two basic problems of life, namelu humans with nature and human with each other. Textual aspect that can be taken are in motion, clothing, property, and the number of dancers. The contextual is seen from the dance function, which is ritual dance treatment. AbstractThis study aimed to describe the meaning of the Sigal dance clothing symbol in the Sowa'k Gawia Ceremony in Jagoi Babang, Bengkayang Regency, West Kalimantan. The researched problem was about the meaning of color symbols, shape motifs and the use of Sigal dance attire in the Gawia Sowa'k Ceremony Jagoi Babang district, Bengkayang regency West Kalimantan.The research method was the descriptive method with a qualitative form using the semiotic approach. The sources of the data were the results of interviews, field notes and documentation of the informants namely Ginop, Mihek, and Gabriel Armando. The techniques of data validity used triangulation and the techniques of data analysis were systematically collected and analyzed. The findings showed that there were fern motifs that symbolically meant humans need to bond with another. They must work unitedly and need social connectedness to protect each other. A symbol of shoot bamboo meant a guide to the path of truth. The lower line motif with an upward taper shape and the upper line with a downward taper indicated the symbol of men who dares to respectfully carry the responsibility and obligations as Dayak Jagoi tribesmen. AbstractThe background of this research are to know and to understand deeper about the form of the performance of JepinLangkahGersikPantai dance, including the range of motion, accompaniment music, cosmetology, and the clothes Also, upper and under design, and the place to show. The methodology of this research is descriptive qualitative method with choreography approach. The results of this research are 1. JepinLangkahGersikPantai at Pontianak West Kalimantanis represented the life of the people who live near the beach. 2. JepinLangkahGersikPantai is divided into three categories those are first movement (pantai) second movement (nyusorarus), last movement (nyusorgelombang). 3. The numbers of the dancers should be in even numbers and consist of men and women. 4. The instruments of this dance are beruas, violin, accordion, and gambus. 5. JepinLangkahGersikPantai dance is using realistic cosmetics. 6. The uniform of the women’s dancers consist of telokbelange clothes, corakinsangstuff, kembanggoyang stuff and the last is flowers. 7 the uniform of the men’s dancers are consist of telokbelanga clothes and corakinsang pants. AbstractThe background of this research was that there was a uniqueness in the way of using mortar/lesung in Ngajat Lesung dance at Seluas Village, which was by bitten but it also functioned as the guest reception dance (aesthetic presentation) and entertainment dance in Dayak Iban society. The purpose of this research were describing the function, entertainment,aesthetic presentation of Ngajat Lesung dance and describing the implementation design in Ngajat Lesung dance on the Art and Culture subject. The method ofthis research was descriptive method. Data collecting techniques were observation, interview, and documentation. The validity of the data testing techniques were extension of observation, and the source triangulation. The function of Ngajat Lesung dance was as the personal entertainment without distinguishing social strata, non-formal personal entertainment, and personal entertainment whose dance moves did not grip. The function of the Ngajat Lesung dance was as an aesthetic presentation on the night before the Gawai Batu DayakIban began and during the Gawai Batu. The Implementation Design of the results in this research was a Lessons Plan (RPP) which could be used as a guide for Art and Culture subject teachers onJunior High School (SMP). AbstractThe research problem is related to the Tari Langkah 12 Presentation Strcture in Balai Sebut kecamatan Jangkang Kabupaten Sanggau. This study aims to describe the structure of the presentation of Tari Langkah 12 in Balai Sebut Kecamatan Jangkang Kabupaten Sanggau. The method used is descriptive method with a qualitative form and choreograpic approach. The data of this research is to find out the overall structre of Tari Langkah 12 from the composision of a presentation. Data collection techniques are triangulation, observation, interview, and documentation to the speakers Sdarmodjo, Mustafa Tomik and Abang Sahl Nizam. Data analysis techniqes include data redction, data presentation and verification. Based on the results of the study concluded with that Tari Langkah 12 is expected to appear in the 1940s. Motion is divided into three namely there are initial movements, middle movements (contests) and closing motion and connecting monition. Three are supporting elements of dance, namely clothing,cosmetology, music The results of the study can be a material for teachers to handle or teaching matetials in schools in learning Cultural Arts. Abstrack The background of this research is that there is a uniqueness of the variety of movements of Jepin Suson sireh dance in which the various movements have their own meaning associated with everyday life. Specifically the problem in this research is how the movements of Jepin Suson Sireh Dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan, and how the design of the implementation of Jepin Suson Sireh Dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan. The method used in this study is descriptive method with qualitative research. The approach used is a semiotic approach which is a science in the form of signs. The data sources in this study were Mr. Amri, Mr. Suhendra, Mr. Rajab and Mr. Eka Candra. The data in this study are the results of observations, interview guidelines and documentation tools. The technique of testing the validity of the data in the form of extension and analysis after data collection. The results of this study are in the meaning of movement of the Suson Sireh dance in Sawah Tunjuk Village, Sayan District, Melawi District, West Kalimantan, a meeting with resource persons who knew the variety of dance movements of the Suson Sireh. Susilo Sireh's Jepin dance has 9 steps, in the dance movement, each of which has meaning. Keywords: meaning of motion, jepin suosn sireh dance.

Abstrak: Tujuan penelitian ini menganalisis fungsi tari serta mendeskripsikan bentuk penyajian tari Langkah Bujur Serong. Implementasi merupakan tujuan, agar Langkah Bujur Serong ini dapat lebih dikenal lagi. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk penelitian kualitatif serta menggunkan pendekatan etnokoreologi dan antropologi tari. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan observasi dan wawancara kepada narasumber yaitu bapak M. Yusuf Dahyani dan bapak Juhermi Thahir. Teknik analisis data yaitu analisis selama pengumpulan data dan analisis setelah pengumpulan data. Hasil penelitian yaitu tari Langkah Bujur Serong termasuk kedalam tari tontonan karena sesuai dengan ciri-cirinya yang menyajikan keindahan-kepindahan yang dapat menghibur dan memberikan kepuasan terhadap perasaan manusia, ciri lainnya yaitu diciptakan secara bersungguh-sungguh dan penuh dengan kreativitas. Technique of data analysis is analyze while collecting data and analyze after collecting data. Result of reaserch in Langkah Bujur Serong dance included spectacle dance because according to the characteristics which provide the beauty that can entertain and give satisfacation toward human feelings, and other charateristic is created sincerely and full of creativity. AbstractThe study based on the students ' lack of interest ofDangdut music and there wasa tendency that Music Students were more interested with Western music and popular music at this time.. The problem of this research was how music student interests against Dangdut music and why in any event shows held by Prodi and art students community rarely used instruments Dangdut?. This research was about Performance Art Education student interest in Tanjungpura University Pontianak Against Dangdut Music. The study was conducted at Performance Art Education FKIP UNTAN. Data obtained through this research was the description of the facts concerning the interest of students Towards Dangdut Music. The data were analyzed qualitatively with resource data that was Mr. H. M. Yaman Umar, and Music Student of Performance Art Education of UNTAN who know about the Dangdut Music. The data obtained through interviews, observation, documentation, and question form.Based on the data analysis can be concluded that; (1) the interest of Performance Art Education students towards Dangdut Music, where the average respondents who chose "sometimes" more than respondents who chose "always", "often", "Rare", and "never".
